Ordered an Ryzen 9800X3D processor from CC, they sent it by Canada Post. They knew 72 hours prior to shipping the CPU to me that Canada Post was going on strike. I messaged them right away and was told to wait, that they were aware of the issue; however, wouldn't do anything. Fast forward 3 weeks post ordering and I sent them another message stating this was unacceptable and they needed to send me a replacement CPU. When the original one arrived I would return it, or they could request it to be returned to them before it was to arrive at my place. They responded they would replace the CPU right away and ship via other means. Fast forward another 2 weeks, no notification of a new CPU, as a matter of fact, absolutely no response from Canada Computers at all. I have sent 2 additional messages to CC and not 1 response yet! The most pathetic customer service ever! Yes, I get that the postal strike wasn't their fault. What is their fault is knowing 72 hours prior to the strike that they'd be striking, yet still using Canada Post anyways. read more

The worst experience i have ever had dealing with an online store.ordered a gpu on launch day and received confirmation. Then 2 days later received an email saying my credit card is an international card(it's not) and my gpu will be held(it wasnt) their customer service which took 5 days to get a hold of told me this was a 'system error on their end' but would do nothing to honor the price and told i was ridiculous and hung up in me whenni said that this wasn't a good experience. read more

Got the 4070 super GPU. Was delivered in the same package bag as my amazon earrings came in. Boxed was damaged. Still building the pc so will have to see how the product works but they should really take care of their products when shipping. At least with a 900 dollar piece of equipment i cant replace it if its broken or damaged in the end. Overall just seems such a lack of respect of the consumer and their products ill avoid them in the future and stick with mempry express. read more

Went to the Broadway location to see the selection of products and see how it compares to Memory Express. Walked into the store and it was was empty with about 9 staff behind the counters. I wanted to check the store out to see the computer builds because I wanted to compare the quality of their custom prebuilds in person (cabling, price etc). Immediately was stopped and was told that I was breaking the rules and needed to put my messenger bag in the front. My messenger bag has my wallet, laptop and camera and didn't want to risk staff swiping some of my items. Told them "I'm good thanks - I'll just head on to Memory Express" and walked right across the street. I've been going to Memory Express for years even during the NCIX days and they use common sense. Yes - ME has a similar policy for LARGE bags and for the most part they don't enforce it because they use common sense. Pretty bad experience and they aren't going to win any customers over from Memory Express. I predict Canada Computers following the same fate and shutting down similarly to NCIX. read more

Needed a specific laptop that this company carried on a rush order. After purchasing through they're on site website I was told that the shipping address has to be the same as the billing address which does not work for me. On top of that I was told that the American Express card that I was using, which is on their website as a viable form of payment , was unable to be used online and only in stores which their website contradicts. Now I have a $6,000 charge pending on my card for something I was told they couldn't do in the first place. Not only am I out time that could have been used to source the product, I'm out a clients purchase order for $24k+, out of pocket for 2k in time and product, but worst of all/!@÷ their future business. This is definitely not a place for anyone who is used to customer service. I went in with the intention of constructing a workstation. Given that my stated budget was $4k per PC, I would have expected a better level of service, but the "salesperson" really just didn't seem to want my business and had such a terrible attitude that I decided to leave and go elsewhere. Horrible customer service. Current COVID policies around returns, price matching, and price protection are highly restrictive, especially compared to other businesses. They do not allow you to return open packages and they do not offer price protection "due to the current situation" (?! is matching your own sale price going to spread the virus?!). I was not informed of this policy when buying the item -- these new policies are not advertised in a prominent way. Impersonal, lazy and delayed service. Had to wait at the door for 10 minutes before anyone came to acknowledge me or ask what I needed, despite two separate employees being within eyesight of me. Even after being acknowledged had to wait another 10 minutes for help despite the store having only 1 other customer being helped. Watched the person in line behind me ask for help with fixing a laptop, be given vague and cold advice, then leave and not come back. To top it all off, one of the cables I bought was defective straight out of the box. Thankfully they still offer replacements for opened, defective products, but at this point I am so frustrated with their store I do not want to go back. read more

Idiots mailed it several days later and before the mail date had tried calling and messaging. all supporting documents. What happened to protection of the consumer? 1000 bucks for a case. This company gets bad reviews everywhere and now I know why. Don't ever buy from them! I order a computer part from them online and paid extra to expedite the shipping because I needed the part ASAP. Canada Computer takes the extra money I paid and then goes ahead and ships the part at their cheaper, slower rate. I had to wait over 2 weeks for the part. And worse, they now refuse to refund me the extra money I paid for the expedited shipping, even though they acknowledged they've ripped me off for shipping it at their cheaper rate. Terrible service, took my laptop saying it will take a week to fix and will call me when it's done. No phone call so I pop in to check on the status to which I find it will take a further week, ok that's fine just call me on the following Friday to let me know the status. No call, I try to call them and get no answer, so here I am in a line wasting my Friday night, still not fixed. The worst customer service interaction I've ever had occurred here - and I didn't even have to go into the store to get it. Called asking about a radiator and if I could have them move parts to a new case the next day, the employee on the other end was very rude about it, questioning if I should take my PC there. I decided about an hour later I'd go buy a case and do it myself, so I went to the bus stop and called them and before I even finished my first sentence he interrupted me and just said "no," before repeatedly saying "huh" to everything I said. Hung up and started walking home before deciding to call a third and last time simply to ask why I was not allowed to come as there was a half hour before closing time, and the employee claimed he had no knowledge of our previous call and the only other person on the phones at the time was the supervisor himself. read more

EDIT: Corporate and Manager got back to me and let me exchange the motherboard. They are actually really nice folks... just make sure to shop informed so you don't make a stupid impulse purchase like I did. Manager is 100% not a jerk. Bought a motherboard here yesterday. Cashier said there was 14 days returns/exchanges. The motherboard wasn't compatible with my CPU (which the cashier could have warned me about), so I take it back, and the staff tell me that NO, actually, their policy is 14 days on Defects Only. Manager is absolutely unable to budge, he swears the cashier told me their policy (how would he know?!). The motherboard is brand new, bought Yesterday at the same location, in all the original packaging; could much more easily be resold by them than by me. Not to mention, their price-match policy is NOT upheld in reality. Went to buy some fans that they had in stock, they didn't even price-match Amazon, and they didn't price-match the place across the street. I wouldn't shop here if I were you; the Memory Express across the street is SIGNIFICANTLY better for customer service. Canada Computers is a disappointment, bad staff. read more
