They sell refurbished tech there too, and I bought a Samsung laptop that works beautifully for a fraction of the "new condition" cost. Canada Computers may be the best place to go for all of your computer needs! You will find many components, cords, splitters, etc, for significantly less money than you would pay elsewhere. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Why wouldn't I - why wouldn't you - make this the first stop for computer needs? Conveniently located in an Ajax mall, with plenty of parking. read more

While this particular bricks & mortar store was and is most helpful, the equivalent online experience was anything but--I had special ordered an item, a SSD. I had already paid for it but was informed that it was back ordered. No biggie, I could wait. That was until I received a call a day later to inform me that the price of the item had gone up and that they'd have to cancel my order. 'But I already paid for it...' I said. 'Doesn't matter' was the response. So be warned: It doesn't matter if you already paid for something, this come won't honour the sale if there's a price increase. It's the first time I've ever had this experience with a merchant. Looks like it's back to Amazon. read more

Today I went in to build a computer: I met a wonderful sales rep named Jamie whom assisted me in not only picking every single component in the computer: but he also took the time to go online and compare products with other products they sold to make sure i was getting the most value from my purchase. this is a seriously above and beyond customer service moment. This store is full of employees who are unhelpful and full of themselves. I just came back from there and heard one of their "technicians" berate a customer with "I've had my own computer business for 14 years, I've worked for Ontario Hydro, I've worked for $80 an hour." Really? Then why are you working at Canada Computers? What happened to your own business? The customer brought in an all-in-one PC for repairs. The "tech" couldn't even figure out how to open it up. This is a guy that owned his own computer business for 14 years. Hmm, no wonder it failed! read more

Return policy for Thermal Paste from there website says to accept return within 15 days but the Supervisor did not return the item even after looking at the policy without any explanation Worst Customer service with non existent policies and super rude Supervisor. Bought a thermal paste and since my existing paste tube was enough to finish res-pasting my Alienware18 I went next day to return it. The guy at the return desk who claimed to be the supervisor said we cannot return it. It was unopened, nobody conveyed it was not returnable when I bought it a day ago and even on receipt I showed him it says all unopened items are returnable but he didn't listen to anything. Instead he told me that He is conveying the return policy for thermal paste to me now after I have already purchased it. Initially I left the unopened thermal paste on his desk. Later that day I returned to the store to show them their own return policy on their website next to the thermal paste but he still didn't agree to take back the item instead handed back the thermal paste to me. The whole review is not about $10 but about the store robbing people with lies. Would recommend all the techsavy's to Buy from Amazon instead for cheaper price and next day delivery with the peace of mind on the quality and avoid any bad customer service experience or go to the Canada Computer in Whitby which has much better stock and good customer service. read more

I brought in my lap because the Wi Fi stopped working. The man at the repair counter turned it on in the store and confirmed there was an issue and suggested that I replace my hard drive and reinstall the operating system to fix the problem. $200+ later (just for labour) I get a call that this did nothing to fix the problem and that the actual issue was a melted wifi card (my laptop was overheating) A $29.99 fix.......In total I paid $320.89. I encourage you to take your computer to a few places. I am sure you will find a place better than "Canada Computers" (Ajax) with more qualified technicians with the ability to diagnose issues through a proper analysis of your computer. read more

This place doesn't understand anything to do part specifications and don't fully have the knowledge to help you with picking out parts that work well for your required situation. If the parts don't work with your system even after they told you it would work with your system and even if you have a return warranty they are unwilling to accept it as they claim its final purchase after the box is open, so I don't see the point in paying for the warranty with this store or coming here for any future computer purchases read more

Customer Service: I came in "not knowing" a thing about PC computers and wanted to "build one my self". Their focus is to shove "off the shelf" items down your throat, and will not help in any way to optimize performance based on cost. Comparing their initial build to the one i finally purchased, Canada computer employees provided me with a MORE EXPENSIVE and UNDER PERFORMING build which was not even compatible. Every stage was a challenge. From initial purchase, to revision, to checkout. I can definitely say the employees know a thing or two about computers, although their focus is to reduce their unwanted stock. My documented experiment at this location is complete. The Company: Competitive to NCIX, honestly the products they offer is nothing short of greatness. No issue. Conclusion: Avoid this location at all cost. Unless youre a computer guru, just drive down to the Whitby or Oshawa location. Maybe ill reconsider going back into this store once they change out their employees. read more

I come here anytime I need something computer related. The price is fair and they have a lot of stuff you won't find at future shop. The staff are helpful even though my questions might sound stupid to them. I don't know much about computers so it's nice to go in and get what I want and learn something from them. They have a really good cable selection and price is cheap compared to the big box stores. read more

Had a mobo checked by their "technician" who clearly did not know what he was doing. The funniest part was he was very confused how to take some of the wires off the mobo and I had to explain to him how to take the CPU power plug in off and then he thought that the ram was an actual part of the mobo and I had to show him to take it off. I over heard a customer, who had been wandering around the store for 5 mins trying to find help, ask an associate if they worked there and the sales rep, with as much attitude as he could, sharply said "do I look like I'm in a uniform to you?" Rude, and untrained staff who don't know the basic components of a computer..... read more

CC always allow me the space to look for what I need without the pressure of someone trying to sell me something. Though sometimes when I have gone and asked for a specific technical question and I received not so accurate info but overall, I am pleased with the help. read more

Lots of room there. But the hired help certainly showed they were not happy there .I did talk to one guy and he was somewhat helpful, but he was the supervisor. Another guy at the front desk tried to help, but some of them were looking really sad. The item I wanted was out of stock, yet the internet said they had it. To sum up--lots of stock in certain areas. Put a smile on those faces in Whitby. A good place to go if the stock is there. Did not study prices. read more

Have come here quite a few times to buy various products. Honestly always receive horrible customer service and really I feel as if certain people working here simply don't care about business enough to answer my questions. I asked for a specific product and they said it was out of stock so I thought oh well and continued looking at other products. I later found the specific product (a gaming mouse, logitech g series) on the back shelf, somewhat hidden but still you would think the store would have checked their stock before saying "sold out". shitty service. read more
