Today I went to ProFix to fix my Apple Watch's screen repaired. I had purchased this watch used and…read morea few months after using it I cracked it by hitting the watch edge to a hand rail. I first asked by e-mail whether they repaired Apple Watches and I got a response the same day. A couple of days later, I walked into the shop and within a second of looking at the Apple Watch's screen, they realised that the Apple Watch already had a screen protector and that the screen was completely fine, it was just the screen protector that was cracked. They removed the screen protector to reveal the perfectly fine screen. They did this in a minute for free. I am very happy for their fast reply to my question and for saving me a lot of money on an unneeded repair. I recommend ProFix and will go there next time I have an issue with any of my devices.

They quickly noticed that the battery area was bulged up, confirming that it had been stored on the shelf in that position for a long time. Unfortunately my brand new Samsung phone that was out of the box for less than 12 hours was surprisingly already out of warranty since April 30 of this year. I can't even dispute this issue with this store since it's a Samsung issue, and this particular Samsung store refused to do anything related to repairs and warranties. This shop was going to charge it $130+tax for a battery swap, but I was able to find a repair shop in Markham that can do this for half the cost.

From the moment we got it back, the phone was freezing, becoming unresponsive, and the display colors were visibly off -- all signs of a faulty repair or defective part. On March 8, we returned after a thick vertical line appeared on the screen. They replaced it again under warranty, but not before implying my son had caused the damage -- which he firmly denies. That second replacement was done around 1:00 PM. By 7:00 PM the same day -- less than 6 hours later -- the screen stopped working entirely. The screen protector was completely intact, ruling out any physical damage on our end. We are now being told they will not fix it and that WE are responsible for the damage. This is completely unacceptable. This is our third visit for what should have been a simple screen replacement. The pattern is clear -- either defective parts are being used, or the installation quality is poor, and rather than taking accountability, they are blaming the customer. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a phone repair to look elsewhere. This shop takes no responsibility for their own work and will leave you worse off than when you came in.
