There's something to be said for shopping in a store where they don't earn commission and that would be... I don't care who helps me as much as they don't care if they help me. I can wander aimlessly around this store without ever being approached by an employee... unless of course, I'm wandering aimlessly around the big ticket items such as TVs or iMacs... which doesn't quite make sense if they're truly NOT on commission...? In fact, the most interaction I had with an employee during my last visit was when I was wished a good night by the guy standing at the exit... as I left empty handed. read more

I used to visit Ajax often. I don't think that I have been back for half a year. I broke my streak today. I like the musical instruments section at this Best Buy. There is a nice selection of guitars and keyboards. I am thinking of getting a keyboard and learn how to play. I was fiddling with one and liked the sound and feel. Naturally, being a person who likes technology, I walked practically every aisle. I wanted to get a mesmerizing Jam strive Bluetooth speaker, but I have too many speakers to justify getting another one. The selection is decent here. Folks are friendly. (182) read more

Terrible customer service. Actually non existent. There are people walking around in Best Buy shirts but they all ignore customers looking for assistance. I finally bought what I thought was correct and prayed that I was right. Won't be back soon. I get better service from buying on line from Amazon. No wonder these Big retail stores are struggling. On May 2 2024 I purchased a washer and dryer for just over $1400. I didn't love that the next delivery date was June 10, 2024. But I was willing to wait, Sunday I never got a call for my "window' from their 'Delivery Company'. Refusing to be at the mercy of Best Buy for 14 hours, I called Best Buy's home delivery customer service. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! They told me SEVERAL times they NEVER deliver on Monday's. Which was interesting, since their website allowed me to book it, but fine. I spent most of my morning trying to figure out how to get the washer and dryer sent. In the end I was told "you just need to wait and hear from the delivery company". The delivery company called at 530 pm to say they weren't coming. And since they ONLY deliver to my area on Mondays, I would need to make myself available June 17 2024. This is the type of customer service you can expect from Best Buy and their 'Delivery Company." Went to Best Buy Ajax this morning to get a Tile key finder and the sales person, J'nai, couldn't have been more helpful! A lovely young person, knowledgeable about how to find the product - it was neither on the shelf nor in the locked cabinet on the floor - and stayed with me throughout the entire transaction. She looked it up online to be sure we had the correct item and was very patient and pleasant, great person! read more

Store employees are so useless. They will probably have what you need in stock but good luck finding a employee to help you. 20-30 min later and I walked almost every single isle and not one person came to help me that whole time. I finally found 3 employees looking for one item. So I asked for help and just shrugged off by the one employee and so I went up to the other 2 employees asking for help, one said I cant help you and the other guy said yea I can help but buddy who couldn't help me a second ago tags along anayway. I finally get my item which I needed an employee to retrieve for me from and the back. I get to the cashier and no one is even there she was in another department talking to other employees. Whole experience left me mad and fustrated. read more

If there's a zero star or a negative star, that's what I would give. So hard to find a staff to help you. Management should look into this. I approached a staff near the door today after waiting for seems like eternity in the printer ink area. He said he would send someone over..... waited... and nothing. Crappy Service!!!! Unlike most Best Buy stores this one does cell phone repairs. I called before I went in to ensure someone was there who would be able to repair my horribly cracked phone. Here I was extremely excited that the screen was finally going to get fixed what I failed to ask was how long it was going to take - my fault completely OR the rep on the phone could have offered that information to me. I figured i would take my Macbook in as well and get some more memory added. Got there at around 8:00pm on a Monday where there were 2 Geek Squad reps working only to find out that my phone would take over an hour to repair. However they were really helpful in showing me which memory I had to purchase. I was told that I should return the next morning to have my phone fixed and the memory installed so off my husband went to get this done for me and again he was turned away because there was 1 person working and was told to come back AGAIN. Wednesday I returned (this time at 6:45pm) to try and have this finally done and I'm sure you can guess what happened...yup turned away because once again because whoever was the genius that creates a schedule failed miserably that week. I was told there would be 3 people on staff on Friday and someone would be able to help me for sure. Annoyed and frustrated but knowing I needed to have my phone screen repaired and my memory installed I went back. I definitely struck luck! My memory was installed within 15 mins of being there and my phone was fixed within an hour! YAY to the guys that were able to finally help. The store itself it setup much like the other locations I've visited. The only other thing I found is that many of the reps are too wrapped up in socializing instead of doing what they were hired for. read more

Worst best buy i have been to so far. Wanted to buy a tv and by mistake want it to be wall mounted by them. It took me 3 staff members to reach at the right place. On top of that there was only one staff there who was talking to a customer endlessly for at least 15 minutes, without acknowledging me. Then i went to geek squad counter and asked if anybody else can tell me how much its going to cost for the wall mounting. The guy said he will page someone, again waited for a while & nobody showed up not even the guy whom I asked to send someone to help. Left the store without buying the tv forgot about the installation after wasting 20-25 mins. Pathetic and horrendous customer service, never gonna go to this store again. read more

I purchased an iphone 5s for my daughter for Christmas. Salesperson talked me in to taking out an extended warranty program through Best Buy for $14.69 monthly for 2 years which covers manufacturers defects only. I had commented that it would be nice if the Best Buy warranty covered accidental damage, and asked about the Apple warranty and was only advised that Best Buy will actually give you a replacement on the spot, where Apple will send phone away for servicing. A couple weeks later I'm speaking with a friend who advises me that the Apple warrantly includes 2 incidents of accidental damage (dropping, water), and the plan is only $111.87 for 2 years ($240.69 less then Best Buys warranty). Also, that Best Buy will only replace the phone to the value it was when purchased, so if the iphone 5 is no longer available, and the iphone 6 is $100 more you will have to pay the difference. I go back to Best Buy on Monday, Jan. 13th, to cancel my warranty, and was advised by the Mobile Manager that I have to cancel the warranty within 15 days. I advised of how unhappy I was that I was not advised of all of my warranty options. Mobile Manager stated that there was nothing he could do, and was given a brochure for the Product Exchange Plan and phone number to follow up. When I got home I contacted the number in the brochure and was told that I have 30 days to cancel warranty, not 15 days. I went back to Best Buy and advised the same guy of what the associate had told me from the Product Exchange Plan, and showed him the same information in bold letters in the brochure that he gave me. Mobile manager finally cancelled my warranty, but I guess the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that he never admitted he was wrong, and never apologized for wasting my time. Here is an employee who is supposed to be the Mobile Manager and he isn't even aware of the policies!!! Oh ya, and another thing. The original salesperson gave me a credit of $36.00 for a cell phone case, which I tried to use and was advised that the credit was only because I purchased the warranty plan, and since I cancelled the plan, I could no longer use the credit. read more
