I noticed a crack that was just a few inches long on my windshield all the way back in November of last year. I honestly thought someone had just keyed it in my parking lot until about two weeks ago. Over the course of one day, the crack had spread across a third of my windshield. I'm guessing that's probably related to the Texas heat finally coming into effect. Anyways, I got a few quotes for replacing the windshield on a 2014/2015 Honda Accord from the popular places around town, and Campus Auto Glass (really just Scott and his van) had the cheapest rate by about $70. Ended up giving Scott a call the next morning to see if he would drive out to my place of work. He got here just two hours later and literally replaced my windshield in the middle of the parking area near my office. The process took a little under an hour, so not too bad at all. There wasn't too much debris inside the car afterwards, and any smudges on the glass were on the outside. It's been about two days since then, so it's probably safe to go ahead and get a car wash. After he finished up, Scott ended up talking to me about windshields and how it's necessary to use high quality glass for about fifteen minutes. The guy literally knows everything there is to know about windshields. I know it's easy to feel inclined to call up the more popular fixers in town, but I highly recommend that you give Scott a call if you ever need anything repaired or replaced. read more

This was my first experience in getting a windshield replaced. As usual, I researched almost every company in town before deciding on who to go with, and it turns out I made a good decision in Campus Auto Glass. Scott was always courteous and professional, and he's a good communicator - always answers his phone, and replies to email, something you don't see much of these days of endless, frustrating "voice mail tag." Some companies I contacted replied 4 or 5 DAYS later. Scott replied in a couple of minutes. His price was the lowest of everybody I called, so I gave him a shot. He was right on time. Scott is extremely experienced - he's done thousands and thousands of windows, and it shows - he works quickly and confidently, and it's very obvious that he knows EXACTLY what he's doing (incidentally, he does all the windshield work for several local car dealerships). He also uses the best materials you can get (glass, adhesives, primers, caulking, etc.), no cheap Chinese stuff. The windshield was perfect, exactly like it was the day I bought the car (Nissan Altima). He re-used the registration and inspection sticker and my TxTag. The whole thing took just under an hour. The price was exactly as he quoted, plus sales tax, and he didn't try to sell extras or mouldings I didn't need, etc. I'm trying to think of something negative to add, but I can't. My only complaint which is keeping me from 5 stars is he should have swept out the inside of my truck when he was done. The process of taking out the old glass left lots of black dust on my seats and dash that I had to clean out my self. Again great job Scott, but it is the little things that go a long way and will put your business over the top. And if you do get a new phone Scott, I would recomend getting one that you can swipe credit cards on, a phone that can do "Square" or Intuit's "Go Payment". If you had that it would have been easier on me and would have allowed you to get to your next job faster. Scott was great!! We had just bought a used 99 Tahoe, one owner so great car but they had had the windshield replaced and it leaked at the top of it. I looked online and found Scott, called him at 7:30pm on a Friday night he was at our home at 9:00 the next day. Was very honest about the jacked up job the last folks did. He looked at it then and said we would have to pull the windshield but that there is a chance it would break getting it out. He quoted me a price around $160. I actually called him back a few minutes later to make sure I didn't misunderstand him. Anyway, this was at 6pm, and he sounded like he was halfway out of the door to come to my house when I told him the car would sit until the next day. He showed up on time, did the job great, and left. Easy peasy. Update - Had to replace my windshield. Same song, same verse. My insurance company sent a Safelite tech to fix a chip on my windshield but was unable to repair it as the windshield cracked. They suggested I replace my windshield, but wanted to charge an arm & a leg. I decided to withdraw my insurance claim as my deductible was too high and to shop around. I decided on OEM to keep the exact same look of my Ford Truck. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Scott would come over to my work place and get the job done that same day! That was awesome! The price I paid for the windshield replacement was reasonable, as it didn't include any 'extra fees', like other shops do (i.e. glass disposal fee, service fee, travel fee, etc.).
