Awful! Don't go to this place. The service stinks. I literally had a "sales rep" talk down to my child who has severe ADHD. She started looking at the faucet and playing with it and he told her to stop. She was not going to break it. If she did, I don't want the damn thing anyways. Furthermore, when she was walking down the stairs he tells her to move out of his way. Constant remarks to the kids the whole time bossing them around. " There is a fountain by my desk but you can't touch it". Are you freaking kidding me?!?! That is NOT how business is done. People have children, get over it. They are rambunctious and bored. It happens. What should not happen is you even attempting to tell them what to do. They are my kids. They weren't even being bad. Seriously people, my kids were looking through the campers and I had a handle on them. When a grown man talks down to a 7 year old child and tells her to "move out of my way" I have had enough. It's cool though. I had a $80,000 budget and 750+ credit score so I am sure someone will put up with children long enough to make a sale. I don't remember his name because I got too pissed but his desk is beside a water fountain so...management if you read this maybe you should do something about his attitude before someone else is not as nice as I was and just walked out. Needed to order a part for my rv from Jayco (you cannot order direct from the company) Had been trying to deal with camping world to get this part without success, no communication from their OEM parts guy. I called gander and was connected to the OEM parts person, Lexi, without any problem. She was able to get my part ordered for me easily. She was great at communicating the status of my order. I will definitely be using gander for future parts needs. Cannot believe that the same person owns gander and camping world. Huge difference in the way these two places do business. My suggestion for everyone that has rv needs is to run as fast as you can away from camping world and head to gander!! read more

I began researching various brands over the winter and early spring and settled on a brand and a floorplan.  Now, I/we had to find one!  I searched RV Trader and other sites and then checked out campingworld.com!  We found one and it had all the options we wanted, except it was in Denver, CO at a Gander RV, and we live in Indiana!  We called out to Gander RV and got connected by phone to a salesman, Jeff McGill.  He hung up and Facetimed us so we could see the prospective camper!  We were in love and put money down after an hour with Jeff.  He set the tone for an amazing experience with your company!  We set out on an amazing road trip we will never forget! The 17-hour road trip from Indiana to Colorado to pick up our dream camper was exhilarating.  From the moment we stepped in the door, everyone greeted us, supported us, and wished us well...what a great family environment!  In the process of solidifying the purchase for our new-to-us, 2020 Lance 2285, we met some amazing people at Gander RV in Denver, CO. Everyone we crossed paths with were customer-first, personable, and wanted us to be happy with our choice!  Our salesman, Jeff McGill, was top-notch! After seeing their overall 2-3 star rating, I see I'm not far off here. I'm giving this review 2 stars because the salesman Brad Powers was phenomenal. However the finance dept made us feel like scum because we had less then perfect credit. Had a perfect credit score co signer and still made us feel unimportant. Aaron the finance guy made us feel like our deal wasn't important to them. Not sure if it was because it was a small trailer and not a big sale or what. Called them back to say we would pay cash and they told us they didn't have time to have our camper ready by the date the originally promised us. I've Never been anywhere where a company worked so hard to NOT make a sale. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Highly disappointed. UPDATE: have had the camper for 1 month now. Enjoying it. Have to make several small repairs myself. But overall it's a good unit. Never once got a call back from sales man to follow up on my purchase. 2 star rating remains. read more

My family and I are ready to buy a new travel trailer. I am off today so I am in shorts tshirt and flip flops. I started at Ketelsen campers and got amazing service from our new friend Brad (awesome). Brad took the time to educate us on what we should look for in a Travel Trailer and was honest and very patient showing us several options many times. I went from thinking I wanted to spend 10-15 K to understnading why I could actually spend more. We told Brad we were going to shop at one more store and he was totally cool about it.......... We had a horrible experience at Trailer Source and came right back to Brad Powers and purchased an amazing new trailer... Brad Rules the RV world!!! read more

I can't say that I had bad service, because I didn't get any service. I need to bring my pop-up camper in for some service so at first I called. I was repeatedly sent back to the service desk where the phone just rings. I was never offered to talk to anyone else, they just kept sending my call back. I then went on their website and filled out their service request form. It's been a week and no one has responded to my request. Moving on to somewhere else. Sales department easy to work with but once you're off the lot, you're on your own. Bolts holding door fell off NEW camper on first trip. Called for help and were told to "bring it in" after having told them that we were in Wyoming! Basically said if we couldn't bring it in then they couldn't do anything. No offer to help us figure out how to get the parts, nothing! And then, when we moved to a camp in Yellowstone, the part on the other side of the door broke, too. Clearly, the bolts had not been tightened properly. When we did return and took it in on Monday they let it sit on the lot for a week (after asking us when we needed it and being told "next weekend") before looking at it when we called and insisted. (It took a whole 5 minutes to see what part was needed) and then said they didn't have the part and would let us know when it came iin but that they didn't have any idea when that would be. Throughout, the people on the phone were not only not helpful, but seemed bored or irritated. The good news for us is that we called the manufacturer, Forest River, and got a really helpful person named Carol who figured out the part number, searched for a dealer relatively near us, and overnighted the part so it would arrive before the holiday weekend. We called them back after vowing never to go to Ketelsen again, and she's sending us the 2nd part - which we will either install ourselves or have installed by someone other than Ketelsen! read more

Really disappointed with the level and quality of service I received. Not only did they not fix the issue the first time, but they damage my trailer and in the process and did nothing about it. They finally fixed the issue, and then never called me to tell me it was fixed. Really terrible customer support. I was there for 5 hours 38 minutes on purchase day trying to get the trailer I bought. Their Finance Department had my paperwork all wrong and had to redo it after a long day. They added $1500 of extra charges I never agreed to nor was told about. I never saw my salesman, he was off work both days I was there. I told them when i bought the trailer to make sure all things had been checked because I am a widow traveling to the desert by myself. When I got to my campsite after 7 hours of driving, all the electric was dead. The service department had cut through my red wire on the new battery but I did not find that until the next day. The glass globe over the dining room table was not tightened correctly so it fell off and shattered into a hundred pieces of glass all over the unit. I asked the GM to call me but no one cares. read more

Have been looking for a rv for a while, looked into Gander RV. And was introduced to Rachel very good energy and knowledgeable about the product! If she didn't know she got the person that did know. She answered questions we asked and showed us very different options. It truly was a pleasure to work with Rachel and low and behold we found the perfect RV! A class A short, had all the options we wanted the wife could see out of it to drive!! I am and the wife are happy with this RV, and would not have happen without the help of Rachel! The service advisor was rude, unaccommodating and always in a hurry to get you off the phone, if she answered. She was belligerent, and not helpful in any way and talked down to you. I have had the same problem with my Lance camper since day one, and it has been in this facility more times than I have used it. I would not recommend Lance Campers to anyone. It is a Fiat with Cadillac prices and the electrical system must have been installed by Jaguar. Very unreliable POS. Wish I bought an Arctic Fox. I would not recommend this company in any capacity. Sales, service or parts. For the salesman to tell me it takes 5 days to charge a battery is just plain ludicrous. Awful, do not go to this place!!!!!!!! Not impressed. I'm sure others have not had as poor of an experience as I, but nevertheless I would steer clear of this place. The short of it ... The camper that I purchased looked great on the showroom floor, but upon receiving my unit, I realize what a piece of junk it is. It has literally fallen apart in the first year (Startcraft 10RT). Getting Ketelsen to stand behind their product has been a joke. Its been one problem and excuse after another. I've been handed off 4 times now with the salesman nowhere to be found in the process. I've been dealing with them for two months now to get it remedied. I live 4 hours away with my second child due to be born literally at any time. I made plans to be in Denver the day it was to be picked up but due to a "scheduling error" it wasn't ready. Wasted 500 miles and 8 hours of driving. All insult to injury. Today they inform me, after I called for status, that it is ready to be picked up. Rather than be somewhat accommodating, they now are saying they charge $20/day for storage for any time after 3 days that the work has been completed! Companies like this that tout customer service should take these opportunities to do things right. Taking strides to convert a disgruntled customer into a loyal one is what customer service is all about. I bought my first 5th Wheel at Ketelsen in 2000, and have been a loyal customer for 18 years. We bought a new 38' Crossroads Cruiser 5th Wheel from Ketelsen in 2016. The 5th Wheel has had one problem after another, and has made many trips in for service. We have only used this 5th Wheel a handful of times in two and a half years. The water pump, fridge, and cabin lights broke this summer, so I called to get the unit in. I was assigned a service rep who could never be reached and did not return multiple messages. I called the service manager and left a message that was never returned. Their service was busy and overpriced over the years, but at least they were reliable. Not any more! Ernst Robinson My wife and I bought a Viking V-Trec 2019 Aug. 16, 2018. Camped in it one time Labor Day weekend 2018 8/31-9/4 to find numbers of issues with this camper. Frankly this camper should of never made it out of the factory in my words. So we dropped it off at Ketelsen's Sept. 4, 2018. As of Mar. 4, 2019 six months Ketelsen still has our camper. Communications are the worst I've encountered, there is none. When we have called generally we would have to leave a message. We would not get any callback. After the sale you seem to be on your own with a bill of sale. As for the Coachmen camper don't buy one. read more

Sadly, my experience with service here was about as lackluster as any other RV or automotive dealer. Service adviser rarely answered the phone and when she did, she promised to "check with the shop" and call me back but never did. Never returned voice mail and always had the "my computer" excuse. I left a scathing review of Ketelsen approximately one week ago. All I can get is a response from Sam G telling me that if I am still having problems to let him know. Really? You didn't care one bit when it sat there for a month without any attention. Your staff insulted and ridiculed me and you have the nerve to ask if there is anything you can do? How about a complete overhaul of the way you do things, and your staff. The sales manager Andrew Irvine, should have been more sympathetic and less condescending to me. Trying to tell me that I'm not getting the good service, because I did not buy the unit from them. The technician gets paid from the manufacturer regardless. Why should they care. Camping World has let me down repeatedly over the years. Don't recommend them at all. There's a reason it is still called Ketelsen's. I took my trailer in for service although I did not purchase it from Ketelsen. I had a problem while my trailer was there and after some discussion they resolved it to my satisfaction. Margaret was my contact there and I want to complement her for her efforts to help to resolve my issue as well as get the work done. I also want to acknowledge Keven in the service department for the extra time he took to give me much needed advice on my trailer. He is extremely knowledgeable and was very kind to help me out! Get your financing elsewhere if you want to purchase. Rick does their financing and he will do what is convenient for him and does not respect your time or wishes. He ran my credit (high score) and stated he was not to place me on the loan and only my spouse. He stated the work order did not match the application. What??? I was very disappointed to hear I drove for closing after he had called me on the date and time to be there. I am shocked to of received a report from this company to find out they did do a hard pull on my credit after all, he was too lazy to pay attention to details to read the notes and full application. Get your act together finance guy! When I complained I was told I was to receive a call from the manager and received no call back. We are payingoff this unit as soon as we receive the payoff, no dealer kick back for him. We did receive good service from the sales person and great job with the nice gentleman who did the maintenance and walk-thru. read more

My wife and I are always shopping for campers. We've bought 3 in the last 3 years. Even when we aren't looking to buy, we often go to various dealerships to look around. That said, we've been to a lot of dealers. Ketelsen is our favorite. They have an indoor showroom, which is so nice in the summer (and winter too!). The sales people are super friendly and non pushy. We went to Ketelsen weekly for a few months while we narrowed down what we wanted. We finally made the purchase and the entire experience was so easy. Much smoother and easier than other rv purchases for us. The walk through with the tech was super helpful. The tech knew everything about the coach. Good stuff! read more

Purchased a generator. Needed to change shipping address and nobody was getting back to me. Finally got ahold of someone and she refunded me the whole amount of the generator plus the shipping. The refund went through without me having to check back on it. Will DEFINITELY do business with them again. Worst dealership ever!! Never followed up on missing window piece, and we bought the trailer new. Converter went out (it's 3 months old) which means we have no power and so we called Roadside Assistance who sent out a mobile RV repair guy. Need to order new converter but Ketlesen says they may not fix it under warranty. Says we need to bring trailer to deanship. We cannot as the slide out is stuck because there is no power. Keltlesen's response...we can't do anything. read more

Horrible! Never do business with this dealership. Once they make the sale, they don't care about you or your purchase. They sold us a trailer with so many flaws. We have owned our trailer for 2 months and after having to have it go back 2x now - they have had it in their possession for half of that time. We can't even get them to give us a status update on the trailer after them having it for 2 1/2 weeks when it was supposed to be ready in 4 days. Also, when we dropped it off, we did a walk around to ensure no visible damage and then 2 days later they called saying there was damage to the roof and gave my husband and I two different stories on what the damage was. Update: After I was told a manager would call me and they never did I decided to go there. I had my speech prepared and was ready to fight. I talked to service manager Dean who before I could even say anything assured me my camper would be fixed in a week and half at no charge to me. So there is some resolution but still at the cost of our entire summer gone. gave 2 stars because the purchasing process was great and they were very helpful!!! Its what happened after we bought our camper that makes me upset. My husband and I purchased our pop up camper May 19th. We were able to use it twice before the steel cable that raises and lowers it snapped on June 18th. June 19th we took it to Ketelsen so they could check it out. A week later my husband called to check and we were told they were waiting on Jayco to see if it was covered under the manufacture warranty. Another week goes by and they call to say Jayco will cover it under warranty they just have to wait for Jayco to send the part. A MONTH goes by ,with my husband calling regularly to check the status every week, and we finally get the call the part is in. My husband is told it should be a 2 hour job. Two more weeks later we get a call saying Jayco will not cover it under warranty because the cable couldn't have snapped unless we did something to it. Ketelsen offered to cover the cost of the part and part of the service but still wants us to pay $300 for the rest of the service. So basically I've been paying for a camper I couldn't use all summer because Jayco and Ketelsen have jerked is around and now they want me to pay $300 for part of the labor for what is supposed to be a 2 hour job. They said to come by and they would take a look, then they quickly fixed it. I have to give huge props to Ketelsen Campers. Recently purchased a camper from them. The process was easy and we love the camper. Ran into an equipment problem I had to bring it back to them for. Shelia Thompson in the Service Department got me in right away and kept us informed along the way. She also made sure my camper was done when I needed it back to leave town. Don Secord (GM) and Dean Tarantino (Service and Parts Director) were instrumental and went the extra mile to handling this situation correctly. They did what they said they would do and made it right. I'm very thankful for their efforts and will be back again. Glad to see a company stand behind their word. read more

This dealership is a train-wreck on steroids. The employees I had the displeasure of dealing with have no clue about what professional customer service is. An RV is one of the most expensive items I'll buy in my lifetime at about $40K, and Ketelsen couldn't care less. I could get into all the issues that irritated me, but the balance of the negative reviews pretty much echo what I'd say. The sales people are rude and the service department has no customer service skills what so ever. My advice: Buy your RV anywhere but there, get your RV serviced anywhere but there. They sure were nice at the RV shows though. Oh, and by the way Ketelsen, I'm available to teach basic customer service skills, most of it's just common sense and courtesy...something you folks severely lack. read more

Awful experience from start to finish. At first I had issues getting people to return phone calls and emails so I drove there. Then I caught the sales representative lying about "laws" and wasn't willing to provide documentation. We finally came to terms on a trailer and 2 days before I'm supposed to pick it up I get an email saying that the trailer is not the same unit as we looked at and is lacking a key feature. I am not one to leave a bad review however I feel that it is necessary to warn other consumers regarding our terrible experience. We purchased a 2022 camper trailer from Gander RV and Outdoors of Denver 5/2021 that was built for off road. We also purchased the extended warranty. The first trip with the camper, on paved roads, we realized that some simple repairs were needed such as better fasteners for drawers and cupboards along with a few other minor items. We scheduled the first available appointment, 4 weeks out. When we dropped off the camper, we were told the work would be completed in 7-10 days and they would give us an update. I never received an updated and reached out to the service department after they had the camper for 9 business days and was told it had not been looked at they could not give me date when they would be able to evaluate the issues. They did not seem to care that we purchased the camper from them less than 6 weeks ago. I requested a call back from the service associate, Colin, within 4 days with an update. He confirmed he would call me. I reached out to the sales rep who sold us the camper, Andrew, to see if he could help. He replied that he would talk to his friend in the service department, find out what was going on with our camper, and call me back in 2 days. Andrew, was also going to check into why the DOT had not received our registration information. I did not receive a call back from Andrew. Colin called me 5 days later stating everything was fixed, a drawer was replaced, along with several of the minor issues. When my husband picked up the camper today, the drawer was not fixed, Colin was not present, and another service associate said that there was a call into the camper company regarding the warranty on the drawer. The paperwork we received from Gander RV of Denver today, stated everything was fixed. Gander RV of Denver is disorganized, untruthful. They sold us the camper with the air of confidence that we would be taken care of in the future with any camper needs. This also appears to be a lie. Customer service is absolutely horrible. read more
