Horrible buying experience and service experience. I am upset that I wasn't allowed to give them 0 stars for this review. In May 2025, I went to the Swedesboro, NJ location to see motorhomes because I have always wanted to buy one, and planned on buying one the start of the summer. I was rushed through the RVs on their lot, and I had to ask to see some multiple times because I wasn't shown a number of them. I felt as though they did not want my business or did not have time for me. After being rushed through the RVs on the lot, I was taken to the front sales office and asked if I wanted to buy one of the ones I liked. The salesperson was rude, condescending, and very pushy to make a sale the entire time. I told them I wasn't buying that day because I had a few places that I wanted to visit before making a decision. This is why I think that I wasn't made to feel welcome from the very start. Next, he asked me questions about how much I wanted to put down, finance, etc... I said I am not at that point and that I plan to pay cash or use financing that I already secured. I asked them their interest rate and would use Camping World's financing if it was better. They wouldn't give me a rate and wanted to run my credit. I told them I just want some info on what the rate I could expect given my credit score and not to run a credit application because I am either paying cash or using financing that I already secured. They were dismissive, condescending, arrogant, and did not treat me with any respect as a first time buyer. It was so bad of an experience that I travelled over 900 miles to a Campers Inn RV in Naperville, Illinois to buy my motorhome and drive it back home. I decided to give Camping World one more chance to win my business since they are close, have many locations, and I will need service on my RV at some point. I had a few upgrades that I wanted to make and a couple of issues that needed to be fixed that are under warranty. I got estimates and setup an appointment. I called the day before my appointment to confirm that the parts are there because they needed to order some, and confirm my time of the appointment. No one returned my call that day or replied to my email. I called the next day soon as they opened, the day of the appointment, and they told me I wasn't on the schedule. I was very frustrated and upset because I almost drove all the way there and scheduled my trip with this appointment in my calendar and setup weeks in advance. Again, they made me feel like I am the person that was confused and mistaken, and that I was dumb. I emailed them to show my calendar and the day it was created weeks in advance, and they told me that I was mistaken. I spoke to managers and the GM who kept telling me there was a confusion. When I said there was no confusion on my end, and asked him to be clear on who was confused, he said that I was confused. The Camping World of Swedesboro, NJ is absolutely horrible, not managed well, and has horrible customer service. They have no accountability, treat the customer like the customer is the person that is wrong and stupid, and have no idea how to treat customers. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. We recently purchased our first RV from Camping World RV Center in Bridgeport. I was real hesitant after reading so many terrible reviews. We received a follow up call about our inquiry within 24 hours. Then we received a follow up e-mail from the GM Sean. After expressing my concerns and hesitation we decided to take a chance and go in. We met with Dom, he showed us around. We told him what we were interested in and requirements we had for a trailer. After viewing a couple trailers we fell in-love with one. Without hesitation, Sean got working on our approval. I cannot say how great the team was during this experience. Making sure we were comfortable with our payments, but mainly making sure we LOVED our trailer. I can't believe I was so hesitant about going here. After our experience I can't wait to recommend Camping World of Bridgeport. Even after we got our approval, we did our walkthrough. The team was wonderful, showing us everything, and the finance part was even simpler. After an hour we were walking out with a brand new trailer. Between Dom and Sean we are beyond grateful for Camping World RV Center of Bridgeport. Plus we did all of this with a 2 year old and 9 year old, the team was very helpful and patient with us. She told me that she was going to look into my situation and then call me back within a few days. "In the meantime", she said, "I'm going to send you an email right now with all my contact info". I never received that email and never heard back from her. Shocker. This is exactly why I left the initial review that I did in the first place. I am giving Camping World zero stars. What a scam they totally ripped us off! DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM!! My husband and I were looking to sell our 2018 Keystone travel trailer since we weren't camping as much as we used to. We spoke with their corporate office and without looking at it, offered a great price. They hooked us in. We then proceeded to take it to their facility in Hamburg PA to get a final inspection and offer price. Their corporate office called us back and told us that the inspector in Hamburg said that there was so much water damage in the walls that they wouldn't give us anything for it. And that they would never put it in their lot to sell. They made us feel like we were trying to sell them a piece of crap. We had the campers roof sealed twice, the floor was replaced under warranty and resealed all the windows. We took great care of any issues with that camper so we were shocked to hear that our camper wasn't worth a dime. Their corporate office told my husband that a wholesaler would buy it from us but of course the offer was considerably a LOT less than what we were looking for. So at that point we decided just to get rid of it, thinking that it was ready for the junk yard anyway because that's what Camping World basically told us). GUESS WHAT! My husband just went on Camping Worlds website and low and behold there is our camper for sale for $17,499!!!!! Really?! This company scams hard working People!! Jenn in Service. She never emailed or called us. The two times we were in the store, Jenn was in a rush or would send us to Lora as if she was too busy to deal with us directly. Jenn robbed us of two thousand five hundred sixteen dollars and forty-three cents. She upsold us on slide-out maintenance, wheel bearing packing, furnace service, water heater service, air conditioner service, roof preventative maintenance, and winterization. None of these services were completed. All the pictures provided are "after" photos of the alleged work. Jenn took $2,516.43 from us for doing absolutely nothing. How she sleeps at night, knowing she's taking people's hard-earned money without delivering what they paid for, is beyond me. None of the services or additional requests we made were completed, including replacing our screen door with a hard screen. At pick-up, our RV had a hole in the screen door where the screen should have been. According to the techs, the screen didn't fit, which we understand. However, Jenn should have called to offer an alternative, such as installing a new mesh. Instead, we were handed our RV with a hole in the door and no explanation. The same neglect applies to our fire alarm, which we found mangled on the floor. Jenn never offered to replace it, nor did she notify us that it wasn't functioning. We also requested the back ladder to be replaced due to a broken bottom step. The ladder was untouched. Jenn never called to offer a replacement or quote us on the price of a ne w one. She simply returned the RV with the same damaged ladder. Pick-up day was Friday, November 8, 2024. Jenn called that morning, claiming the RV would be ready for pick-up after 2:00 PM. Jenn seemed irritated when we couldn't provide an exact pick-up time, though we agreed to pick it up before 4 PM. When we arrived, Jenn greeted us with, "I only have 15 minutes," rushed us through the repair order, and didn't walk us around the RV--likely because she knew the work wasn't done. When our trailer was pulled out, my husband inspected the roof. It looked exactly the same as when we dropped it off, with the addition of a hole that wasn't there before. Jenn had claimed the roof would be "scraped and resealed with three coatings," but it looked worse than before. We went back inside to speak to Jenn about the hole in the roof. Jenn dismissed our concerns and suggested we fix it ourselves, claiming it was "an easy fix." Imagine paying over $2,500 for services only to be told to do the job yourself. The winterization service we requested and paid for was not done. The tanks' outside pipe openings still had residue from when we dropped off the RV. None of the drains showed signs of antifreeze being pumped through, and our water lines are now more clogged than before. The wheel bearings were untouched. We received no information about their condition, whether the brake shoes needed replacement, or if any other component required attention. Despite this, Jenn charged us for the service. We specifically requested the anode rod to be replaced because we spent significant time at Gila Bend Air Force Base earlier in the year, where the water is known to be hard and polluted. Jenn claimed the anode rod "looked good and didn't need changing," but we requested it to be replaced, not inspected. It was neither checked nor replaced. The air conditioning service wasn't completed either. Dust and filters remained untouched, and the bedroom air conditioner stopped working entirely. When we turned it on for the first time after picking up the RV, it made a strange noise and failed. Now, in the middle of Florida, we have only one working air conditioner. Jenn claimed a filter on one of the air conditioners was missing, but we cannot identify which filter was replaced or which air conditioner was serviced. The dust on and around the units remains undisturbed. It seems all Jenn accomplished was to break our previously functioning bedroom air conditioner instead of servicing it. On the driver-side bedroom slide, we discovered a crack in the RV's supportive wall that wasn't there before. Additionally, a small piece of cover tape was found concealing something on the same slide. Photos taken before the service show no evidence of this. It appears the slide was improperly serviced, resulting in damage. After inspecting the RV further, we voiced our concerns to the shop foreman, who assured us the service manager would call us the next day. On Saturday, we spoke to the manager, Josie. She offered a $300 refund but failed to address our main concern: receiving the services we paid for. As my husband told Josie, the problem wasn't poor service--it was that no service was provided at all. read more

On December the 6th my husband took the motorhome to our state DMV Delaware and still no tags the tag and title service that camping world uses in swedesboro New Jersey is ridiculous we have no tags no current temp tag they were disputing the weight so my husband took it to DMV to have it inspected and still nothing the worst service ever if you plan to purchase a motorhome in my opinion do not go to swedesboro New Jersey the title and tag company that they use is ridiculousI. So, here is my experience with these shit heads. Bought a Coleman 17b brand new in 2021. Immediately noticed a leak in the sink area. Brought it back, they said issue was taken care of. But next trip i noticed the same issue again. It was really pleasent spending 4 hours taking stuff apart until i found and fixed the leak myself while on vacation!! Then, about 2 trips later started to notice an issue with the floor right by the front door. Soft spot was forming. Brought it back again, they said they found no issue with anything leaking. Fast forward to 2022. Water visibly coming in from the cabinet above the sink and the light above the door. Found a pretty decent hole on a seam above the door. Brought back to CW. Now they find the leak, say it was a progressive one that got worse over time and i now needed a new roof and a new floor. So, smelling total bullshit i called and asked someone in sales what the protocol was for diagnosing a leak. Typically, the guy said l, they do a pressure test to see where air is escaping. I called service, asked where on my invoice does it say a pressure test was done. It never was. They basically set me up imo. Called them and explained the issue and they tried to get me to call the manufacturer and try and get them to do it because "it isnt on us". Also, when my wife called to speak to someone the guy was a bully and tried to make us out to be the negligent party. I have fixed every issue they said they took care of. All of it. These people are the most dishonest, incompetent pieces of shit i have ever done business with. They play every game in the book to wash their hands of issue that were their responsibility to address. I will never, ever use them as long as i live for anything and i hope whoever reads this heeds my warnings and avoids the low lifes as well. read more

Folks ? I cant even rate this company unless the stars go negative . I purchased a toy hauler at the end of February and brought unit home where it sat parked until my first trip about six weeks later (10 days past the 30day warranty) only to find the hot water wouldn't work . After a couple days I headed home only to find the brakes were not working and the unit pushed me into an intersection on wet road , thankfully no one was coming . since I was past my 30days , they wouldn't fix it , who does business like this , i paid for dealer prep , how did these problems get past the prep ??? I sought counsel who advised me to contact corporate which I did and not sure what they did on their end but it made no difference , once they had my cash paid they didnt care less. NEVER have I dealt with such a business that I sought counsel . I was offered a 2 yr warranty which I also paid cash or to get it fixed . I dropped the unit off on May19 , during that time I stopped in to check my patience was growing thin , the service manager said they were waiting on approval for additional parts needed to complete the brake repair . I came home , called the warranty company and they said they hadn't gotten anything regarding additional parts , no contact rom CW since 6/2 . She said it wasnt a problem and they would just amend the brake repair . I went back to CW and told them I called and that's all they had to do was make a three minute phone call . The response I got was " We don't make calls , only email " , are you kidding me ?? I got a call a few hours later that it was approved. I get a call yesterday 6/17 that my unit was complete yet I can't pick up til Thursday ??? What the hell is that about?? "Why can't I come get my trailer ? ""Well we don't do it that way , you have to schedule your pick-up " . So after one month of BS , I can go get my trailer on 6/19 , UNREAL ! I understand that it's busy time of year and that there are emergency repairs of others on the road but changes need to be made in their logistical area , there's always room for continuous improvement and CW of swedesboro needs it desperately ! It seems once they have your cash , you don't matter and you get jerked around , had I financed this , I would have not made payments and arbitrated to better position . My counsel was kind enough to "give" me advice which I exercised , rest assured I will NEVER deal with Swedesboro CAMPINGWORLD again . Corporate in my opinion would look into the customer satisfaction segment and have them educate employees on how to run branches of their company . To anyone thinking of going to this dealership , think hard ! I don't know about other dealerships but this one should take a break and regroup , it's Campingworlds reputation and what continues to your ongoing success is your customers before and after the sale . We purchased an RV from Camping world, which was delightful as it was agonizing! Who knew we would be there from 10 am till 730 pm! And we were approved immediately as we have what they call "Bullets" for a credit score, which means Excellent! They agreed to hold it for us because we were going on a vacation, During the 10 days they were holding it, they were supposed to install cameras, which we already confirmed placement, a TV which can only be mounted in one place, and We paid for it all up front! We were scheduled to pick it up today but guess what? It's not ready, they say they are going to try to squeeze it in. And now are saying it's going to be at least 3 more hours! Had I known, I would not have purchased from them as I feel that 9 hours is much to long to spend on financing that was approved in minutes, and at least another 3 hours waiting for them to install our equipment (which we were told would be done 10 days ago) is just crazy! We spent a lot of money in the store and a lot of hours we could have been doing other things that are just as important! It's ridiculous and shameful! It didn't take that long to buy a car or make settlement on a house! My advise, find somewhere to buy, that values your time as much as your money! read more

So I needed a new rv toilet. I called to see if they had the one I wanted, they did. I headed out, and walked into the store. I don't know who I talked to so I went to the parts area and waited for several minutes. No one was coming around so I went to service. The big guy sitting at the desk says what can we do for you. I said I talked to someone a few minutes ago about a toilet. He said that's the parts department over there. I was like ok. I am standing there for 5 minutes. Two rv sales guys walk by. A guy walks to the service desk and starts typing on the computer. Another gal walks out stares at us then starts typing on the computer. I'm thinking am I invisible? Generally people will ask, "have you been helped, or what can I help you with?" I got neither. I decided to just walk around. I found what I was looking for with no help from anyone at camping world, minus the guy who answered my question on the phone. They play manipulative salesman games with you, tack on all types of unnecessary dealer fees, and actually gave me a FALSE MSRP number. I am giving them one star because I cannot give them less than one star! If you buy a used RV or Motorhome from them. make sure you get all the promised repairs on an official "We Owe" document. They promised to make many repairs on my vehicle but because it was not written on a "We Owe" document, they would not honor it even though the manager had signed it. I had to go there 4 - 5 times and they still could not figure out how to fix my leveling jacks. I live over 130 miles from the location. They wanted me to bring it back again and leave it. I took it to a place in Dover, NJ (JD Automotive) and they had it fixed in one day - it was just an internal fuse! The shop manager was just as bad. She would refuse to take my calls and never called me back. Ihad called the corporate office a couple of times, and opened a complaint. But because I did not have an official "We Owe" document they wouldn't help me. WARNING!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION TO BUY YOUR RV!!! If you do make sure they fix EVERYTHING before you drive it off the lot! I will say that Fernando is one of the best they have. He bent over backwards to help me. I just want to say I wish I would of read the reviews posted about camping world , before calling them! They are very disrespectful, my mother is 78 years old and loss her husband after 56 years of marriage. My father bought the RV from camping world 2 years ago. So when he died my mother couldn't drive the RV so we called camping world to see if they could put it up on consignment. My parents kept the RV in mint condition! 2012 Tiffin Allegro , Koti and Frank both commented on how nice the RV was . We called on January 28 2019 was the first call. Koti and Frank came out to look at it and brought paper work with them. The problem was they couldn't leave with the RV cause there was something wrong with the breaks. They told my mother not to worry they would call tomorrow and get a mechanic out to look at it ! Well that was the last time we heard from Mr. Koti or Mr Frank! We had a mechanic come out and it was a frozen break drum , total cost $110.00 ! Not a big deal. After numerous calls to camping world, know one would call back or reach out to my mother! All I can say is karma is watching , this is the way you treat a widow after her whole world just crashed! And if you don't believe me about the condition of the RV we listed it at Whitehorse RV . Three years ago, we purchased a travel trailer from Campingworld. Experience at that time was "OK." July 2022 we traded in that trailer for a new 2022 Chateau Class C RV. Salesman told us the price, but when we got down to the paperwork, the price jumped $7,000. He told us that Campingworld often changes prices from one day to the other, and that the price sheet HE had must have been one day old. We liked the RV, negotiations didn't really amount to anything, but we bought the RV. We have had issues with the RV which have mostly been addressed. We have administrative issues that STILL need to be addressed. We are also still waiting for a refund of the almost $700 we spent on repairs related to steering issues. The contract for our Safeguard Alert policy says that Campingworld is supposed to give us paperwork that will be given to the "911" database--but CW says they don't do that. This morning alone, I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone trying to find out who is supposed to send us the packet of information that I need to submit--and everyone says that Campingworld is supposed to administer this policy. So MANY TIMES no one calls me back after I leave messages for help. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I do NOT recommend anyone going to Campingworld for an RV. read more

I had high hopes about this business. I am a prospective buyer who just wanted to come down and get information for a future buy next year. My expectations fell short. I drove down with my family about 40 mins away. We got checked in and was greeted by Steve. He sat us down and we talked through what I was looking for. He took my information and then we proceeded to go to the campers. He forewarned me that he had another appointment that may have him break off to tend to. Of course what do I say at this point. I said it's fine but deep down I felt a bit insulted because why would they have my appointment double booked. Steve told showed us only two campers until he got the call to go to his next appointment. He pretty much just left us there and said that was all to look at for what we are trying to find. So we just looked around and tried to find open campers. We did this probably for just another 10mins and then left. The next day or two I got a txt from John asking me how my visit went. I told him what happened through txt. Then Steve calls me and try's to ask me and apologize about the incident but I told him that first impression is always the lasting impression and I didn't want to waste my time with them again. He tried to ask for another chance but I wasn't having it anymore. Then John tries to call me and says he just saw my txt but I'm pretty sure Steve already told him what happened. Please don't waste your time with them. I should of paid more attention to the reviews. read more

The lead times to get into this place for service are ridiculously long. Plus once I get an appointment they are so under staffed in service that there's often just one or two guys running around frantically trying to get everyone checked in and take calls, and do all the paperwork for the vehicles already in. They need more staff badly! That said they at least seam willing to work all aspects of your RV (although at a highish cost) unlike other places that don't service generator, or engine or .... Currently twice now I've had leaks in my RV although in different areas. One of them of fine but the other is still leaking. I'm worried they aren't going to stand behind their guarantee for the leak as I'm guessing it wasn't actually coming in where they said it was and might consider this a new leak coincidentally in the exact same spot. Im currently waiting for them to get back to me. We'll see how this goes and I'll update accordingly. read more

If a zero star rating existed I'd give that rating. I will never deal with Camping World of Bridgeport, or any other location, ever again! The General Manager Tom is a complete waste of airspace! Sadly, his finance team isn't much better. They had TWO FULL WEEKS to get our paperwork/financing in order prior to us taking delivery of the new camper. We show up for our appointment yesterday morning and find out that not only was our paperwork incomplete, they didn't even have firm financing for us yet (great credit, no issues there). They asked us to wait 10-15 mins max while they got everything set up. That request happened 6-7 times, about once every hour while we sat there waiting. We couldn't even leave bc they had our truck hooked up to the camper for swaybar installation etc. and refused to disconnect it. After being trapped in the dealership for 7 hours, and repeatedly trying to escape via uber to grab a bite to eat and them asking us to stay, they sent us home "because they can't get it done today." Side note: the regular finance guy (also named Tom, I believe) was conveniently off on our scheduled pickup day. The guy filling in for him was just a pinch hitter. HOW does that happen when a pickup like this is scheduled so far in advance? Not to mention, they called me 3 separate times in the week leading up to delivery to confirm my appointment!!! So we both took off from work, drove 1.5 hours one way, made alternate childcare plans...waited 2 weeks and then 7 hours on the day of pickup...and we still don't have a camper?! YEP. Shortly before we left the fill-in finance guy came over to apologize to us again. He asked how he could make it right. I said have the trailer delivered. He said, "no problem!" He also promised us a "generous giftcard" and sent us packing - to wait on the bank & for someone to contact us about delivery arrangements. Within an hour of departing the dealership I had financing secured through my bank. I notified the sales and finance team that I secured my own financing (got approval in 15 min time frame! HA!), and would have the check in hand within hours. I just needed the GM to call me to discuss the delivery & the install of an aftermarket part from their store in lieu of the promised gift card. Why would I travel 3 hours total to go back to the store to redeem a gift card when I wasn't even willing to go there again to pickup my camper??? Sales called me at 11 this morning, on behalf of the GM, to tell me I was welcome to come pick up my camper any time I want. And they're not extending any goodwill on the gift card etc. What?!?!?! Nope, nope, nope. That's not how any of this works. GM Tom refused to take or even make any calls to us throughout this entire ordeal, even when promised multiple times! Sales went back and forth with him for some time after I expressed my extreme frustration about this and then sales called back saying okay they would deliver it and that was essentially an act of Congress to get that commitment. They also stated that Tom would be emailing me today with docs/details (yes, emailing not calling like a grown man). It's been nearly 12 hours and I'm still waiting. Surprise surprise. Ironically, we wanted to use our bank to finance from day one. But we were strong-armed into going through them, at the insistence that no other bank could touch their rates/terms etc. We know now that was a complete joke! Same with their insurance. We wanted to go with our company from day one. At their insistence we went through their Good Sam quoting process. Our top rated carrier ended up being 1/4 the price of theirs with better coverage. The ONLY positive in any of this was our sales guy, Dave O. He personally went to bat for us, and empathized with every bit of our frustration and complete dismay. He was professional and courteous from day #1, and that, unlike all other variables in this equation never wavered. I promptly shredded this $32k check this evening. Enough said! This review is for the front of house. Worst place to try and get an appointment for a trailer not bought from camping world. It's like they only want to service what they sell. I had a recall that I didn't know about and when I called to ask about a part the manager informed me that it was recalled and got the parts needed, he was a wonderful help, but the issue was trying to get the appointment scheduled. After two weeks of calling after part was in the store and also the manager trying to get someone to call me back I called corporate to let them know and got a case number. Final a day later I got a call for my appointment. So now I have to wait about 3.5 weeks to get this issue fixed while there is a whole in my roof and the parts will have been sitting for 6 weeks. You shouldn't have to call corporate to get an appointment and I just feel no one really cared about any of it and it was just a big hassle. Wishing you could talk to the CEO some they know what kind of problems are going on because I'm sure people are sweeping things under the rug. A 2.4 star should tell you something about the company. I don't need a copy and paste response to this because I reported it to corporate just making aware for others to think about when needing repairs done. read more

We purchased a Georgetown 31l5 from an out of state camping world and like most class A coaches have many issues. We decided to address the warranty issues in state at Camping World of Bridgeport. Rob Nichols is our service advisor and I couldn't be in better hands. He took the time to allow me to vent and addressed all of my concerns. He is professional and truly cares about his clients. Although the process of getting our issues with the coach will take time with Forest River, we are in good hands with Rob. Thank you for caring and regaining my trust in the RV industry. Horrible job repairing the existing satellite dish location, just decided to use epoxy to fill in the holes for the wiring... Can't even clean up the work and make it look presentable, also the new location for the satellite dish is nothing cake icing like epoxy work. read more

I am updating this review because of recent events with Camping World of Bridgeport, NJ. After purchasing our RV we have had nothing but problems with not only the RV, but with personnel at Camping World. There is little or no communication. they avoid you when they know they are wrong and won't call you or email you. they failed to send our finance paperwork to the finance company and did not send it until 3 days after our temp tag expired. We had no way of registering it, getting the titel work done or finalizing anything. The finance company did what they could because they received it so late. but we are still without our RV because it is sitting with dead tags on it and we don't even own it yet because the title work has not been done. We are waiting for repairs to be done and have that scheduled. But we are concerned about how long that will take. We have no communication with Camping World in regards to this except one phone call and a few emails. As I said, the ones I need to talk to have avoided contact and no one wants to answer for any of this. read more
