One of the worst customer service issue I've ever experienced. We went in to see about selling our RV. Met with the Steven, gave him all the info. Was told it'd be about a week to schedule an inspection. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. In spite of my calls, texts, and emails. I even called the store and left messages. We have been long time customers of Camping World regardless of the negative experiences/reviews from our fellow campers. We decided to form our own opinions and purchased a brand new RV with all accessories and continued being loyal to Camping World as we are huge Marcus Lemonis fans. We took great care of our travel trailer for 2 years as we knew we would eventually upgrade. We're at the point to sell our RV as we were always told by Camping World about their buy back program. Our RV is in pristine condition, we were given a quote online that seemed fair and took in for inspection. Inspection was not so smooth. Employees rushing from one area to another and getting nothing done. We waited an unpleasant amount of time in order to be given the whole sale value of the travel trailer which was less than 2k that was initially given to us. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the RV in fact the rear view camera we bought was left in it. This questions my integrity of Camping World. It saddens me that although we stayed loyal regardless of the negative opinions of others we decided to give Camping world a chance only to be strongly disappointed. Camping world has lost two great and loyal customers and we'll be sure to share our experience. We reached out to our initial contact that provided the initial quote and have had no response aside from why? They have the file you would think they can tell us why. Jeff was amazing in sales. He made sure we found exactly what we wanted for our family and was there for us all the way. Steve in Finance was there to support us through the whole process. Then on Pick up day Bev was there to teach us about our new home away from home and support us all day. We had nothing but exceptional service from everyone from the the first time we walked in until we checked out with our Keystone Hideout including our first and last store check out. Had a wonderful purchase experience at Camping World of Valencia. If you are like us, hesitant to buy due to the negative reviews, just plan ahead. Most complaints we found online were poor service and long waits. After pricing trailers from dealers of So cal to Nor Cal, the negative reviews did not discourage us from trying to buy local at Camping World. We got a great price on our new trailer and received excellent customer service. Like most said congested places, we anticipated a delay in viewing and buying. We expressed our concerns. Our rep Andrea ensured she would do her best to coordinate our visits to be as pleasant as possible. Basically... 1. Visits: Make an appointment. Best times are A.M.s during the week. 2. Financing: Apply online. Have insurance and cashier check ready before picking up. 3. Picking up: Plan on 3-4 hrs for financing, thorough trailer walk-through and store tour for needed trailer accessories. 4. Communications: Email and Text works best. We are first timers so we took our time throughout the entire process. All staff were very professional and knowledgeable. I'd ask the same questions to multiple staff to get different perspectives and to confirm things. Most questions were reconfirmed. There was some confusion. We learned later that their dump station is closed. A sign stating Dump Closed is posted at the entrance but was figuring it's for when the gate is closed. Maybe from the mentioning of their Good Sam benefits--that member have access to the dump station for free, we thought it was available. We have not met nor scheduled any service with Camping World of Valencia as of yet. It was explained that with the increasing demand for trailers due to the pandemic, parts are hard to get causing much of the delays in service. That said, Camping World of Valencia gets five stars. Hit or miss...there's times I've gone in there and had great help and service and other times been ignored or brushed off (mainly by the parts department both the extremely unfriendly old gentleman that always there and a younger guy as well) We don't have a 100k$ plus brand new RV/camper but we still need parts and friendly helpful service and especially not talked down to...and literally depending on the day or the staff working it goes from a 1 star to a 5star. We are so happy we found MELISSA MANNING, RENE DELEON, and STEVE METTS at Camping World in Newhall, CA. We had never bought an RV before, and we heard horror stories from so many of our friends. Melissa was not only knowledgeable, and honest, but she was a breeze to deal with. We bought an older model and we are extremely happy with our purchase, so much so, that we will for sure go back to Melissa if and when we change it for a newer model. Thanks Melissa! Rene gave us the final inspection. Again, being newbies we had a lot of questions. The inspection is one hour, but Rene was super patient and knowledgeable to the extent that we asked him questions about possible modifications and he also let us know about them. His service was unbelievable. We really appreciate his patience, care, and knowledge. Finally, we truly appreciate Steve Metts. He dealt with our finance and guide us to the better options. He was also super easy and a pleasure to deal with. Because this valuable people, we have no doubts recommending Camping World Newhall as a great place with great service. Contacted service dept for my Rv for new awning. Awning were ordered, but it took 8 months for the awning to arrive. When the awning arrived I took my RV down for installation. Two days later, they called and told me that it was the wrong awning. New wait for the correct awning. After installing all the awnings, the awning on one of the slides breaks. The awning also is not working properly. I contact them not understanding what had happened. Service dept states it's not their service that caused the breakage. I then try to make an appointment to repair the slide and awning. By the way, they sold me a membership to camping world to get service discounts. So the service guy says, they do not service any RV's older than 2011's. When I complained about selling me a membership and refusing to give me service, service guy goes "oh I talked to the mechanic and he says he will do it". Liar. Then he says he can book me for repair 3 months down the road. Liar. So I worked with another service member who took my RV right away. Camping world did not cover anything. I had to get my own parts to repair the awning. They supposedly repair/adjusted the slide. But now it doesn't move at all. I won't even take it back to them. They have a high turnover rate and the employees are inexperienced and just don't care. (Three different service agents handled my RV in less than one year). I will be using a certified Fleetwood service dept for now on... " read more

These people are crooks. Never take your trailer there. I bought a trailer from a private seller. They took it to this location to have it evaluated. Camping world took everything out of the trailer and threw it away. Including the hitch and tow bars. However they never owned the trailer, or had any right to do so. When we confronted them about it they basically said tough luck and did not care. We will also be filing a police report against them. read more

My sister in law ordered my wife and I two up right camping chairs for my birthday, she ordered them May 7, and gave them to me on May 19. We used them 3 times on our one week trip. Both my bother and I are members and have ordered many items from camping world. My surprise was like most we try to go camping once a quarter. So much to my surprise the chair ripped on this trip in August. I weigh 210. The chair cannot be used any longer. Then my wife got her chair out, so new I might add she never even took her tag off. Much to my surprise again her chair ripped in the same spot. I took them into Valencia store and was told I was 9 days outside the 90 day warranty. I said are you kidding me? Sunday 8/13/2023 I spoke with Johnathon from this location about having an inspection done on my moms trailer for a trade-in estimate and to purchase a used riverside retro 176S at this location. He set up and appointment for us on Saturday 8/19/2023 as this is my only day off to come out and purchase this unit. I asked if they could hold this unit for us until then and he said I would have to place a down payment (never mentioned it was refundable) in order to hold the trailer. I told him I was not comfortable placing a down payment on a trailer I haven't seen in person. We hooked our trade-in trailer up and towed it out all the way from Simi for our Saturday appointment only to arrive and find out that the retro trailer we would be purchasing was sold 15 minutes before we arrived. No courtesy call, nothing. I even spoke with a different person the day before (Friday 8/18/2023) confirming our appointment. We even had to arrange baby sitting for our children in order for us to come out, fully prepare to go through the extended purchase process. They completely wasted time on my day off and wasted our money towing a trailer out for no reason, along with having to arrange babysitting. I would NOT recommend this location based solely on this terrible experience and lack of respect for their clients. read more

I purchased an aftermarket power recliner for my Class C motorhome from Camping World Valencia. Recliners were not offered in my model due to numerous obstructions (heating duct, propane lines, electrical, etc) under the existing Jack Knife sofa. I spoke with Glen Bremberg at the store and he assured me they did custom installs. I was hesitant due to the amount of modifications required but told them to proceed. I just picked I was amazed at how outstanding the final product looked. Looking at the install I am confident that anyone would think that these aftermarket recliners were OEM installed. Well to begin with this place has an old school sleezy car dealership vibe as soon as you walk in. They use to look and feel like a store when you walked in. Now you're greeted by an not very welcoming receptionist and a bunch of employees staring at you. Then you are given someone that meets you with a clipboard asking for too much info just to look at some rvs. Anyway we go out to look at a few ( picked by your chosen salesperson after a few questions ) all the while this person ( Melissa ) acts like she's in a hurry and leaves without giving you any info on the RVS to take with you. The staff is extremely nice when you are looking to purchase a trailer but once you sign then you are nothing to them. Financing was approved but Camping world continued to ask for the same things over and over again, meaning they must have lost what was given to them. Ended up paying cash for the trailer. The locks were not working at time of delivery so they were supposedly order that day, which was June 11, 2020, yet today I still have no locks on the trailer. Placed two calls to Camping world Headquarters in Illinois and I feel the treatment the dealership provides runs down hill from head quarters. A big shout out to our sales guy, Kyle! After visiting a handful of dealerships, he is the only person who listened to exactly what our wishes were and nailed it on the first RV he took us to. We had the same great service on inspection/pick up day as well. Everyone at the dealership was friendly, however, the front desk greeters were not so inviting. In fact, we almost left do to the initial experience we had at the front desk when we first walked in. Neither of the two ladies were friendly as they told us their was an hour wait. I mentioned we drove a long way to get there and they could care less. They almost discouraged us enough to leave, but we decided to walk the store and in about 15 minutes we were called up to meet our sales person Kyle. He turned our experience around. Do NOT buy from this dealer. They are super nice when selling you a trailer, but that all goes away as soon as you walk out the door. Their extended warranty is a joke. They keep your trailer for months only to tell you nothing is wrong with it and then charge you for looking at it. We even had video of the stuff not working and they claimed it does work. Sure enough when we got it home it doesn't work. While in their possession the spare tire was supposedly stolen, but we figured out they put on our trailer. We ended up going with the 2020 Thor Freedom Elite 24fe and aside from some warranty work we could not be happier. As someone who has spent their career in customer service, I can be overly critical of all things service related. Due to that fact I feel it is very important to inform the management and the ownership of the businesses that I use of any EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES I have. The level of service that Sam provided was exceptional and ABOVE and BEYOND what is considered normal. Not only did he assist us with our initial purchase, he has continued to assist us with ANY and EVERY issue that has come up since. He is kind, honest, knowledgeable, and genuine. Traits that I feel are disappearing in many of the service industries. Well I was really trying not to put a review in and see how things went. But Camping World Valencia really has me pretty pissed off right now. My trailer was at their facility for almost a full month. The work was supposedly done within a few days however with the rains I was not able to pick it up. Amanda my service writer said no problem will hold onto it for you. Once I finally was able to get over there I inspected the work that was done out of all the things that was requested to have done only one thing was done they fixed my dinette set that had a broken back on it. Which broke on our first trip out. I had a camping trip to go to so a bent outside kitchen door was not a big deal at the moment. They said they were going to order the part and it would take about two weeks. However I got no call about it it is now been over two weeks and I have continued to have to call them to follow up with what's going on. Amanda chooses not to return my emails or phone calls until I get the management involved. Once I did she said my emails must've been going into her junk email or spam. Which wasn't true because she had been replying and then all of a sudden just stopped. They didn't fix my tv that only displays black and white after a little while of being used, they didn't fix my damaged kitchen door, they didn't fill my propane tanks as I asked.( so they filled for free once I was there) however they bent the foot on my trailer jack. They were going to replace it however they could not find one that works right. So I just said it's not a big deal I can bend it back. Now onto the fact that the trailer is actually too heavy for my vehicle. I am new to towing travel trailers and my knowledge of them. No matter what I looked up online the sales department told me this trailer would be fine. 5620 is the dry weight, my max hauling capacity is 6000. So going uphill loaded is a challenge with this trailer. But it's not like I can make them take it back. Even though I have text messages about the weight not being a problem. Update**** Kevin's got the wrong door some how. They didn't call me and keep me updated after all the issues I had. The only good thing they did was pick up and deliver my trailer. I had to get the regional manager involved to get my trailer fixed right and not wait another 3 months. They got it done in a few days. But when the delivered my trailer they didn't tell me they were there so parked my trailer on the street and blocked part of my driveway. Really poor customer service. They did nothing to make up for all the problems and SCREW UP'S. I need asked if they would extend my service contract due to all the issues they said not. Oh and on top of it all they opened and closed out my work orders every few weeks so they could get paid but never got me to sign anything. Pretty sure this is illegal or at lest not good practice. Made an online appt last week for Monday (yesterday) for my travel trailer via the Camping World website. I had 3 repair elements I was hoping to get completed utilizing my warranty. Never received a email confirmation of my appt. I never received a telephone call from a representative to go over details of my request and upcoming appt. I never received a text message acknowledging the appt made online. I decided to not call them or take the risk of hitching up my trailer and going to the dealership and experiencing a situation of no appt being processed. I wanted to see if they would ever contact me. Guess what?! They did! TODAY!!!!!! Today is Tuesday. They sent me a random, unidentifiable (in body of email) email. They actually rejected the fact of me submitting an appt for yesterday and offered availability next month (November)! Hahahaha. WOW! What????? Lol. This poor service makes sense....look here on Yelp! Camping World obviously is a terribly run business! The only thing they are doing right is flying the huge American Flag. Besides that, I have no respect for a business that does not even know how to run the basics of a business. Very unfortunate because they are conveniently located to where I live. I brought my RV in for slide-out maintenance and to replace the springs on the jacks. Simple stuff, I thought. My rig sat there for 3 1/2 weeks, and all they managed to accomplish was to check the tire pressure and top them off. It took several phone calls to the service writer just to get the springs ordered, and when they arrived, it still sat there for a week. When they finally rolled it into the garage, they had the wrong springs, and tossed my old ones in the garbage. The slide-out maintenance, which I was told would only take a short time, never got done. The service writer never called to let me know the status of any of this. He rarely answered the phone when I called, and never returned my calls. The couple times I managed to get him on the phone, I was told that "they're working on it now" and "it will be done tomorrow", neither of which was true over the course of a week! It really shouldn't be difficult to at least keep me informed of what's going on with my rig, especially when there are delays or wrong parts. read more

Here's my perspective. Buying vehicles is one of the most unpleasant experiences a human being can go through no matter where or what, of which, i've purchased a few dozen already in my world (cars, motorcycles, boats, roller skates haha) anyhow, I called up for an RV. Got a quick response. I'm about 100 miles away from Valencia. And anyhow I do everything via virtual, online, esign. Camping World doesn't. Yet, okay, let's deal. I informed the friendly sales rep via text that here's what i want, here's when i want it and no need to do a "four square" manager rodeo sitdown all day. Cool. Rep seemed to understand. Finds the RV, says i gotta give him $1000 right away to reserve and even transport. I give them a cred card and $1000 is in their loving hands now. 3 weeks go by, i'm informed the RV arrived and to make an appointment to go in and sign papers. During the 3 weeks the finance department got my approval (and why not my scores are in the 800's). Okay, so, I ask for terms and what the numbers are and the sales rep tells me the price is "X" and the payment is "X" for 144 months at an interest rate of 6.49%. I inform him i'll be in the store and that I will negotiate the price when I meet him. Next day i'm there. He greets me. All good. Let me give you my impression of the store: For all the hype and wealth of it's founders, it's really shabby by my own standards. The place looks like the last time it received a cleaning and an update was 1973? So, I was there and it wasn't busy, the other sales reps were sitting down lounging around checking out the latest sucker walking in. Oh wait, that's me. So, I'm pleasant with Mr. Sales Rep and the first thing I say is: "Tellya what, before we get into all the blah blah blah and crap, how about you show me the unit?" IMMEDIATELY sensed panic. So he replies "Uhhh. well, look, I told you to give me a heads up when you'd be here so I could find the unit" (Nevermind that I drove 100 miles right, his time lounging around is more of a priority than knowing where possible units he's selling are). I insist on seeing the unit. He responds that it's impossible because it's in inventory and there's no way they can find it. Okay. So here's the deal fellow readers.... What I'm thinking is they sold it and figured they'd just give me a story to defer my delivery after I gave them my money and signatures. Anyhow, let's go on that they didn't have the unit. Okay, so tellya what Mr. Salesman, let's discuss the price you sent me.... He preemptively says "Well the price I gave ya, is the price that it is and it's already done, it's in stone" (no matter that this is my first time walking in a Camping World in my life and haven't signed anything or even seen the unit LOL LOL. I'm like okay so let's break down the price. How much is this and that and this and that? I take his paper and his pen away from him and begin writing on the blank side and doing calculations. I wind up calculating an approximate $1,800 net profit to leave on the table for them and I write that offer, I sign it and date it on the blank page and tell him, look, you're gonna kick and go to your sales manager and all that, so tellya what, go and kick and do the sales manager thing while I'm driving back to Beverly Hills and call me when you get my number. He's like "I can't do that, I can't do that, your deal is done, your breaking a deal". I'm like okay well call me, nice meeting you, I've gotta split. He says.. welll WAIT, I'll go talk to my sales manager just hang on... I'm like "okay" and I get up and start walking around the store looking for a coffee lounge.... THIS IS WHERE IT REALLY GETS REAL guys! Marcus Limonus, man, I kinda liked your TV persona man! Like I liked you as you seem on TV. DUDE, REALLY?????? So, I see a sign that says "CUSTOMER LOUNGE"... I'm expecting something of the level and standard that Marcus seems to hold all these poor saps he has on his show to. I mean when I bought my lowly Corvette, the lounge at Allen Gwynn in Glendale has a FREE COFFEE GRINDER with dozens of varieties of coffee and tea. Has tons of top level pastries and cookies... FREE POPCORN, HOTDOGS.... whatever... The lounge has multiple flatscreens with cable and sports going and theatre seating, AC going full blast, pure bottled water.... endless comforts for clients. LMAO... what does Marcus provide for his clients that are investing $20k to $1 million in some cases? I dusty old room in the back, dark room no ventilation, stained seating and rugs.... AND GET THIS.... 3 vending machines with junk food, of which one of the vending machines is a rickitty coffee vending machine.... NOT COMPLIMENTARY.... LMAO.... damn dude, is that how it is to be a billionaire? Everyone else not a billionaire wouldn't know the difference right Marcus? Dude vending machines. Update to prior review: we finally got our warranty work done. Fortunately this go around was three days in and out. Oh, so happy to be done! Timeline: Made appointment in September for some issues to be looked at. Soonest available appointment was in November. Trailer went in November (see prior review for what happened then). By mid-December we pulled our Trailer out of their lot with the work undone. We were told that the warranty work was not yet authorized and that they would call us when it was approved. Waited almost six weeks before we received the call to bring it back. The work was handled quickly and we picked up the trailer on the third day it was there with work completed. Not sure if it was Camping World's entire fault for the lengthy delay between November and the end of January when the work was done. Keystone had to approve the warranty work but from what I understand the lack of communication from Camping World employees makes it very difficult to deal with them. As far as my last review went, they made no more effort than the service guy's method of email communication. I'm very happy to have my trailer back and it appears to have been treated well. read more

I just bought my trailer from this location and am very pleased with the PURCHASING PROCESS. I had been researching and looking for about a year now (my first trailer purchase) in this time I have visited various Mike Thompsons, Giant RV, and even Family RV. I have to say that my shopping experience was the best at Camping World ** all because of Joseph Anderson ** who has actually just moved to their NC location. Joseph was kind, understanding, friendly, patient, and attentive. He took notes of what I wanted, followed up with me, was the perfect liaison for me with sales and even took care of me (without my asking) when I went in to purchase a part that was broken on the trailer after I took it off the lot. When it came time to prepare my contract, I dealt with Tony. He was easy going and understanding of my needs and questions and even told me he would come in on his day off so I could sign my contract (I decided to sign 7/31 to help them get the contract in on that month even though I was picking up on 8/2.) He did come in on his day off but did not sit with me as promised, instead passing me off to James. This was slightly off putting at first but James turned out to be another friendly and easy going guy who was also very patient with me. There are some things I do not understand like: There is a "set up fee" this seems weird. The set up fee is supposedly to get it ready for you (top off propane, clean, etc. but this feels like it should come standard. (Again this is my first trailer so I don't know.) There was no sewer hose included. I thought that was weird because it is a basic component. There is also no fresh water hose included. However, they did give me a fantastic price on my beautiful trailer along with wonderful perks like Good Sam Elite Membership and discounts on their goodies in the store. etc. so I'm very pleased. And my walk through orientation and pick up day were made stellar by Julian who explained a lot of information in a clear concise and fun way. Thank you Julian!! I purchased my very first Travel Trailer from Camping World Valencia the beginning of 2017. Our family is "newbies" to camping & jumped right into Camping World without consulting Yelp, or research! BIG MISTAK I was recently a victim of theft while leaving my travel trailer for repair at Camping World in Valencia! It was completely gutted of EVERYTHING I had in my trailer while in their possession (it was STOCKED with everything you could think of) including the tow bar & stabilizers in the outside!!! Has anyone been a victim of theft there??? Camping World cares less that this happened & claims they're not responsible for my rig being ransacked while in their care! Any words of wisdom would be appreciated! My advise.... DON'T leave your rig there by ANY MEANS! They only care about you if you're spending money! read more

Dont even bother! (Valencia, CA location) Unless you come in with cash and do NOT ask any questions. The sales girl i spoke to didnt even want to look information up. Then she thought it was funny to get her co worker involved to harass me when i asked for a different sales person. Not what i expect from Camping world. BAD vibes at this place!!! We purchased a new Coleman Lantern 17B. We also purchased a new ultra quiet Cummins generator. Got home and the trailer almost caught fire. Issue started before I drove off the lot. The service department said they fixed the problem. They didn't. They just installed larger fuses. Tried to start the new generator and that did not work either. After 2 weeks they agreed to fix the trailer. They also had to replace the carburetor on the generator. I felt the customer service was terrible. They left me holding the bag for a unit they shouldn't of sold. I had to use my warranty to get it fixed. I called all the managers and they felt they didn't need to call me back even tho it was a fire hazard in the unit they sold me. I will not be recommending them to anyone. Shopping for an rv shouldn't be hard. However at this location you aren't permitted to view anything without a sales person. We've own several rvs and never once bought anything viewed with a sales person. Additionally this particular location has a female employee working outside that was utterly hateful and nasty when we viewed 1 rv. The reason it has 2 stars is for the 1 nice employee we did encounter. She greeted us at the door and showed me the trifold sofa. Sadly we will be going elsewhere to buy it. We want the freedom to shop for rvs and sofas and smiles when I am ready to purchase. Not open disdain. Go to giant recreational world rv. We bought a brand new 5th wheel January 2022 as we did the walk through of the unit we found quite a few issues, camping world assured me they would have my parts in a few weeks and they would get everything installed and we would be off on our way! Well here we are 20 months later with no outcome in-site, my manufactures warranty ran out before we even got to use the coach, and when they finally got back to me month 17 stating they had the parts I dropped off my unit and here we are month 20 with the same run around. I would never recommend camping world to my worst enemy. I have sent emails out text messages out and the same oh same oh still with no outcome in site. I would not even step foot back in any of there facilities as long as I live if I can tell all of you out there do your homework before you shop at any camping world. read more

To whom it may concern, I am a customer at the Valencia camping world location. We are a family of 5 whom have purchased from this locations 2 times now. I am writing this email to share my experience and raise awareness of the issues at this store location, particularly the service department. Our most recent purchase was a Wildwood x-lite back in June of 2015. We had also purchased an extended warranty. The electric stabilizers stopped working only after a couple of month. I dropped it off in August and picked it up after being assured it was fixed. All was fine after we had picked it up for a short while. We recently brought our trailer back in for the same problem. It was dropped off on 9/10/2016. We met with KC in their service department and explained the same stabilizers are the problem. He searched through his computer and said he has no record of the first time it was repaired; it only shows that they repaired one of the blinds. He went on to say that it is no longer covered under our warranty. My wife and I thought to ourselves, why would we bring in our trailer (over an hour away) to fix a mini blind? Surely your system must be mistaken. There should be a record of the problem. What is ironic is another customer was picking up his trailer and was screaming at the top of his lungs at another service representative. My wife and I were thinking, wow he is really mad, I wonder what happened. Fast forward to today. My trailer has been there 2 months I am out of pocket for the deductible since there was no record of it being fixed the first time No one calls me back, when we do talk to someone they are rude and don't seem to care about customers We drove there for nothing to pick it up (1 hour away from home), only to discover it was not fixed nor any paperwork in the trailer for evidence A cap was missing It was parked on the curb, possibly damaging the tire sigh... I am beyond disappointed with the lack of customer care. I suspect you have a management problem at this location due to the amount of bad yelp reviews, my bad experiences there and the lack of focus in addressing customer problems in a timely manner. I will never buy another RV from this place because the service department is so terrible. I hope this email reaches the appropriate audience so that my experience as well as a full operations investigation into the service department is considered. I've wasted time and am very disappointed. I am writing this to request help in expediting resolution of my issue as well. I am still waiting for a call back and have received no further commitment for time of resolution. read more
