We purchased a new trailer recently. This is not the first trailer we have purchased and most likely will not be our last. We had the most amazing customer service, from our sales rep JD, to our demo rep Bob Allen, to our delivery driver Spurlin, the entire experience was amazing. Whope we were wowed by everyone we dealt with, we were extremely impressed by Spurlin. Our old (traded) trailer was on a permanent site and was extremely difficult to remove. It took hours! At one point we had to relevel the site and move some rocks. Spurlin asked for a shovel and got to work helping us! He was friendly, polite, courteous and so very patient. All of these experiences combined will keep us returning to Camping World, not only that, it will make us tell others about how amazing our experience was. I tried to find something positive to say, and yes -- some of the employees were decently kind. But kindness does not excuse what happened. My uncle, a combat Vietnam Veteran and senior, purchased a preowned RV from Camping World that was completely overpriced. He drove it less than 28 miles, and when I asked if the dealership would buy it back, they refused outright. It is incredibly disturbing to watch a company profit off of someone who should have been treated with honesty, fairness, and respect. Taking advantage of seniors is bad enough -- doing it to a Veteran is beyond disappointing. I would never recommend this place to friends, family, or anyone looking to make a major purchase. RUN AWAY FROM CAMPING WORLD IN HATFIELD! By far the worst buying experience I've ever had. I purchased a fifth wheel RV from them in October. They lied about everything from the start. Every promise made was broken. I'm just over a month I've spent thousands on this 2022 RV making repairs. To add insult to injury I requested the general manager call me to discuss the issues but she has failed to do so. Color me not surprised. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't buy a hot wheel toy from these people, much less an RV. Never again will I shop in this store. read more

WORST experience ever with my purchase and I am still living this nightmare Buying a camper from camping world in Hatfield has been the worst experience ever the staff made empty promises, never returned, phone calls, and now here I am stuck with a camper that has been leaking since day one that has caused extensive damage to my slide out . It all started with the day of my walk-through when I found some water inside the camper, and I was told by one of the sales agents that it would be reviewed and take care of any issues . When picking up my camper for final purchase, I was informed that there was no leaks and I should be good to go, but after two days of owning my camper, a ripple occurred in my ceiling. So many phone calls and emails trying to communicate with the staff to address this issue . I brought the camper back for repair and review. After review by them I was informed that my camper was all set it was water tested, and the ceiling was repaired, and there was no more leaks but when I asked for evidence of the water test, they could not supply anything. They made me promises that were never kept. Not to mention, I also had to replace my air conditioner and hot water pump within six months of the purchase . Now here I am with my camper and it is still leaking The ceiling ripple once again in the same exact location as the previous ripple that they acknowledged and supposedly repaired The ceiling panels were so destroyed. I removed them, and I found massive amounts of black mold in the insulation and on my walls. After months of trying to resolve this issue and getting tossed around from employee to employee I receive a phone call from a guy who tells me his name is Derek and that this situation ended up with him and as he sees it, there's nothing they can do for me. I had to ask him who he was and what his title was as for he never divulge this information to me in the beginning of our conversation, which I thought was very unprofessional This leak has caused severe damage with black mold in the insulation and the walls I have a written review from an authorized dealer who informed me that slide out is pretty much destroyed due to a seal concern .. So at this point, they are leaving me no option, but to take legal action I have been very disgusted with my whole experience I would never recommend anybody to deal with camping world, especially in Hatfield Massachusetts This was a terrible experience and I'm still living this nightmare.. . Had an issue with registration that delayed pickup. They floated making me pay more for a registration I had already paid for. On pickup day I discovered 100 miles had been added to my motorhome. Police report filed. edit: Based on your other reviews I'd say thats exactly like you. Update: Plumbing was repaired by a couple of mobile techs in South Carolina. They did a great job. However, in addition to the 100 miles put on my motorhome, equipment that I was assured was installed, was not. Camping World Corporate has offered a settlement of a 1000 dollar gift card with a catch. They want me to sign a confidentiality agreement. They also want me to sign a w9 which means the gift card is counted as income. 1000 bucks which I have to spend at camping world, an organization who's business practices are shady at best, does not warrant a confidentiality agreement. I'm certainly not going to be leaving my motorhome at any camping world location for service. The 100 miles Hatfield location put on my motorhome negates that as a solution for anything. read more

I scheduled an appointment with their service department for a 45 point check-up. I arrived early the morning of my appointment. A few calls here and there with no progress. I returned a full 10 days later in person. They HAD NOT YET EVEN LOOKED at it. (So much for our last fall RV trip). The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star is that a young woman (was her name Sarah?) offered time jump on it and shepherd our vehicle through the process. They could take me that Saturday. So... This place is not the place to buy a camper. There are plenty of good places to go to find an RV-Do your research. After leaving there and going to a place where the owners and employees actually camp and know their stuff, it was a world of difference. We felt so confined to what we could look at to buy and no one at camping world knew any different anyway. Once we were educated at the new place with people that know everything about hitch weight, weight distribution, dry weight, etc- we were able to get the right camper for us! Received an invoice for $10k repairs and found they overcharged me $1,171.38 - twice for the same hardware on one job and three times for another. That was in December and though they agreed with my analysis, I am still waiting for a corrected, updated invoice. Meanwhile I get an email that the work is done, pickup your RV or be charged $35 a day for storage but again NO invoice, no mention of what I owe. WTF? What are they hiding? We had a decent enough sales experience with our salesman Stephen and we purchased a beautiful 2020 Autumn Ridge. The trailer is great and we are enjoying it immensely. Everyone at Campers World were helpful and there was no high handed selling. We actually bought the Autumn Ridge which is obviously used. We had intended to purchase a new travel trailer but the used one fitted our needs and wants. Now, unfortunately there is a negative aspect to this happy occasion. When we were speaking to sales we asked about having our old 2004 KZ Sportsman removed from our camp in Vermont and the sales stated they would do whatever it takes to remove it even if they need to use a flatbed. Well shame on me I took their word on it and not so bright me did not have it in writing. We were a little surprised when the gentleman who delivered the new to us trailer stated he did not have a work order to move it off our land. The gentleman looked at the old one and was figuring how to bring off our land and stating "they will probably send me back to haul it away ". Well after playing phone tag with Jared he told us he remembered the two of us would take it off our land. Some how i don't remember I said that. Jared said would look into it and for us to send them the title. We sent the title and after more phone tag, we got a text stating he talked to the driver and the driver told him it wasn't safe to transport. I am not going to get into he said he said argument about it , I should have gotten it in writing. He sent the title back I wished they could have suggested a company that could help. read more

Scheduled an repair appointment and months later they still haven't looked at it. Canceling our planned trips and to say the least we are a little heartbroken. I should mention that I have a pug (which can't breath in humid hot weather) I need the AC to work! Horrible horrible service!!! They should reimburse us for our lost time and deposit cost on our schedule trips. But they could seriously care less. I called Corporate and they cared even less. We were looking to upgrade our existing camper and were very impressed with the number of campers that were in stock at this location. We worked with several people throughout the process from their customer care team, sales, financing, parts, and service. We had a few issues (Some of them self-inflicted) along the way, but any time an issue arose it was taken care of immediately. From the first e-mail received to the date of delivery, it was just over 3 weeks. We had a 2+ hour walkthrough of our new camper and their service tech answered all our questions. All in all, we had a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend Camping World to friends. read more

My experience with Gander was atrocious. The only saving grace was that I was only there for a small service visit, and not buying a large camper. When I dropped my pop-up camper there with a problem with the hot water heater, it took them 10 days to even look at it (I had an appointment). They immediately told me the water heater needed to be replaced at a cost just over $500. When I got back to them to approve the job, they changed their mind and now said it was over $700. It was not worth it too me so I asked to find out exactly what was wrong with it as I was going to have to pay for a diagnostic cost. It took them another couple of weeks to give me an answer, which was no answer at all. They 'tried one more thing', and what do you know but it was working again. I am fairly sure that there stock answer to every service issue is that 'it needs to be replaced'. They charged me for the hour of time, a PPE charge, and shop supplies (just padding the bill). They also dragged the landing gear on the pavement when they brought it out. At that point I noticed that they had opened the camper and had not tucked all the material under the cover when they put it away. When I opened it to tuck it in, I realized that they had packed it away in the rain. The canopy was soaked. As it had been weeks since it was packed, I expect I will now be dealing with a mold problem. Thanks for nothing. Will never be doing business here again. read more

Another zero star! The absolute worse place we have ever been. Took months for them to pickup our camper that they were going to purchase, went there to finalize the papers and they changed the price they were giving us. This was almost a year process and they kept not returning our calls until we walked in and surprised them. Just pointed fingers at corporate and the old sales manager, not my problem stick to the offer that you offered us. We heard they were terrible and now I totally get what people meant, slimy and shady and would never trust them. We're supposed to call us so my husband could be here for delivery and inspect it and would you know the slimy people just showed up and dumped it off. i hope this review goes far, especially with the camper show coming up. read more

While the Sales Associate was nice to work with, the rest of our experience with this outfit was miserable! They picked apart our trade in to the point where they dropped the value by $10,000! We were paying cash and they actually told us that they would add back $3,000 if we financed the deal! We did a walk through on the new RV we did end up purchasing but even with the copious notes taken by the Tech, NOTHING was done when we went to pick up the RV. They did nothing to get it camping ready and then tried to blame us when the water pump valve was faulty - again, it was a new RV! We will make it our aim to tell everyone we know not to go to here to buy an RV of any kind. read more

The dealership delivered my brand new camper to our seasonal spot 29 miles away. When we got there the same day we had no electricity (our inverter was not working) no one was willing to come out to look at it. Hooked up water and turned it on only to find out it was not connected inside and was flooding the camper...was told I should have looked at it before turning water on ( I paid the dealership a prep fee...honestly). August and my air conditioner went. They wanted us to return the camper but it would be 3-4 weeks before we had it back. I asked if they could come out (again, 29 miles away) and they quoted me $450.00 each way. You just can't make this up. We purchased the extended warranty as well. We offered to install a new unit ourselves but they wanted to charge us $1000 dollars for it. I wish I never bought from them. Not good people. read more

This is my second travel trailer from Camping World. This is my first time buying from the West Hatfield location. I was very impressed with the quick response from Rocky via: telephone and email. Jessica was great going through the paperwork and attentive response via: email. My favorite part was doing the walk through with Bob Allen. He is the man!! He went through the entire trailer explaining all the features and the differences between how my previous toy hauler and how my new "used" trailer worked. Last but least was Dave. He did all the financing paperwork with us. He made it fun and easy. I can't wait to go camping. read more

The experience we had here added a new word to our vocabulary, SCAMping, with the emphasis on SCAM. Yes, you are not permitted to look on your own. Fine. But once you start wanting prices -- enjoy... "It was $42,000, we reduced it to $37,000." They tell you there are different prices for financing versus cash (which was never true). But guess what, then they tack on the $1500 destination fee, and another $1500 for a tech to "show you what you bought"... then document fee, taxes... We were warned not to go but went anyway. BIG mistake - HUGE waste of time. Go here if you want to give a few extra thousand to scam artists. We stopped at a private camper store after. BUYER BEWARE. BE WARNED. This place is dishonest, poorly run and a nightmare to deal with. We bought a camper from them in May. They tried to sell it with bad seals but we inspected the unit and made the seal replacement contingent with our purchase agreement. Long story short, the new seals came in and we made an appointment to have the seals replaced. 3 hour round trip for us. They ordered the wrong seals. It took 6 more months for the right seals to come in. Made an appointment to have them replaced ("same day job"), we dropped off the camper and they had it a week. Picked up the camper today, and ONLY ONE OF THE SEALS HAD BEEN REPLACED. A nightmare. So they said they needed a half hour to finish the job. So my husband sits in the waiting room for over 2 hours and has to demand they finish the job so he can get to work. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I will never set foot in a Camping World again. read more

The absolute worst service I've experienced in 40 years of owning RV's. This place is a rip off. They tried to convince me to replace the brakes on my 5th wheel at a cost of $4,360.00 FOR PARTS ONLY!!!! They overcharged me on items that were published on their flyer. They told me the camper was ready to be picked up. I drove up there to pick it up. While waiting for them to bring it out, I signed the paperwork and paid the bill. Then I was told, the work wasn't done yet. A week later I called and they said it was all set. I was told I couldn't check the work on the roof while it was on their property. Once I got the camper back home, I went to check the work and they didn't do some of the work and the work they did was terrible. When I called to ask what they were going to do about the roof now, I was told by Max, that they gave me the bill, I signed and paid for the work and the discussion was over. Receptionist was very polite and had salesman DJ call me later that day, who provided me with the information I needed, even though there was no sale or advantage for him to do so. Customer service at the Chichester location is the worst experience I've ever received after going through a deal with them buying back a camper I purchased a couple years ago, I paid to have the camper brought to them. Then after it sitting for a week was told they aren't interested so now they refuse to bring my camper back to me unless I pay more money. Absolutely ridiculous. I asked if the least they could do is bring it back for free as I already paid to have the camper brought there in the first place and they refused and told me they are bring it to an offsite storage lot where now I'll owe them a monthly fee. After buying five campers from them they have definitely lost a customer and I hope they decide to do the right thing at the very least and bring me my camper back rather than playing these games. read more

Hard no. We bought our camper here and the camper is cool, the experience was trash. Our sales guy was annoying and hard to get a hold of. The guy doing the closing paperwork was a snake oil salesman (understandingly he has a script and it's not his choice to be shady) and he was trying to sell us on all sorts of things that a camper would literally never use. Don't start a PowerPoint presentation with a picture of the multi million dollar president of the company and tell me what an awesome guy he is, that is beyond weird. And the extras they try to sell you on literally PREYS on new campers. They try to scare you into buying insurance, repeatedly saying well if you die the insurance will pay to have your rv brought home. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Also we paid $900 for a walk-through, which we tried to avoid, and they turned on our propane and left it on so when we went on our first camping trip we were out of propane. Not a great experience. The products they sell are poorly made, and I have had poor experiences trying to get a hold of people. Many times I have been told someone was going to send me info about something etc and it never showed up. I would say avoid doing business. I wish I had read reviews prior to going to camping world in Hatfield. Seems to be a pattern with questionable service at this location. The sales team does a great job, however once you purchase and sign the paper work good luck. We purchased a used camper vs a new one we saw because we like the layout better. We where promised a lot of cleaning tht didn't happen. Which no problem it's just cleaning right. Well they had the camper for 10 days from when we signed everything and told us they didn't know were the keys where and may need to order new ones. Ok fine we are reasonable people. We call 8 days later to check on the status and are told everything is all set cleaning and registration just waiting on the keys. We call back the next day and ask if we can pick it up the next day and then we can just come by and pick up the keys after. They tell us yes but they will need to clean it first. Ugh the amount of times we where told things would be cleaned is comical. We go to pick it up still not cleaned wait an hour for some cleaning to be done. Get home look and still nothing was clean and on top of tht there is a brake light out. Ok no worries start cleaning it up the next day call to see if someone can come out and replace the brake light and are told someone will call us the next day. We end up callingthe next day and are told we will have to bring it back or pay $195 an hour to have someone come out. The person I spoke with was defensive when I explained my frustration. She was less than accommodating. I am not sure what kind of safety checks they did to miss the brake light but if it was anything like the cleaning job I am concerned. I still don't know when our keys will come in and was not given an answer either. I see the same response to everyone's concerns so I proactively already emailed. I would of been more understanding if the person on the phone showed more compassion and didn't continuously tell me something was done tht I can clearly see was not. read more

I'm glad I didn't do this review when we purchased our 2022 MLS Keystone Cougar but waited a few months. We took the trailer in to be serviced and they did not address the issues. Water pours out of the shower when you flush the toilet, they said it is a dribble and it is normal. We have a video and it is not just a dribble. The television set goes off every time we watch it. They informed us that they left the television on for an hour and it didn't go off. We watch it for more than an hour at a time and this is a constant issue! The dealership did not inform us that the sink was attached to the black tank. We are seasonal campers, and we have to empty the tank every two weeks, we would never of purchased this trailer if we had known. Everyone is very nice, but nice doesn't correct any of these issues. We have had trailers for over twenty years and have never had any of these issues. read more

My husband and I travel to Massachusettes a lot and go by Camper World in Hatfield often, we decided we were going to buy our very first new camper with them. WORST experience EVER!!!! Buying a camper should be fun and exciting right!?? well to say the least it wasn't fun at ALL!! why did we even think to go there!!! The financial person Mike was a complete Liar and a snake!! ...saying he sent out our financial paperwork Fed Ex since we live 2 hours away , never sent it lied about sending it... until I called for the 3rd time.... even spoke with the sales manager, who very unprofessionally had me on speaker phone, until I said please take me off speaker.They winterized our brand new camper which we paid over $200 for, leaving a huge mess inside, caps, pink fluid on the floors, then said they will detail it no worries...hahaha they lied about that too!!!! I had to clean it myself. Customer service was great the 1st time, when we purchased our camper, of course, but after that we were treated like who the heck are you, and what do you want??
