If I could give Camping World zero stars, I would. This wasn't about being declined for financing--things happen. This was about being lied to, strung along for days, and treated like our time meant absolutely nothing. We came in on Monday, and Betsy was very pleasant. She processed our information and confidently told us we'd be picking up our camper the next day. To say that is too good to be true is an understatement, Betsy was complicit in the delayed information, false expectations and neglect. The following morning, we even received a text telling us to come in and sign paperwork, only to then be told everything had to be pushed back a few days. After multiple text messages and four phone calls before I could finally get anyone on the phone, I was told the finance manager wasn't in, our paperwork simply hadn't been completed yet, and that everything would be finished by Wednesday around noon or 1:00 p.m. We were told to come in, and Betsy would meet us there. When we arrived on Wednesday, Chris, the manager, informed us that our financing had actually been declined on the 28th--the day before we ever stepped foot into Camping World. So while employees were telling us our paperwork was still being worked on, scheduling us to come back, and asking us to wait for the finance manager, they either had no idea what was going on or simply couldn't be bothered to tell us the truth. When I asked what our options were, Chris responded with, "I don't know, I'm not the finance manager." When I explained how frustrating and disappointing this was, he literally shrugged his shoulders and said, "Okay, nothing I can do." That level of customer service from someone calling themselves a manager is unacceptable. No apology. No accountability. No attempt to help. Just complete indifference after wasting several days of our time. It amazes me that Corporate would be ok with this mentality, not even including the excessive amount of bad reviews. Thankfully, we left and went to Tacoma RV Center. The difference was night and day. Their staff treated us like customers instead of inconveniences. They got everything approved and completed within a couple of hours. Even more impressive, when they learned we were hoping to have a camper for the Fourth of July weekend, they rearranged their delivery schedule and moved our walkthrough and delivery date up so we wouldn't miss out on our holiday plans. That's what real customer service looks like. Camping World lost a sale because of poor communication, disorganization, and management that couldn't care less. Well 4.5 hrs later still no call. Called back she answered with attitude, same questions what part need to talk to parts but would not connect me to parts till i asked her several times to talk to parts, very short hold back to her wanted my name again for callback I told her did that and no call after 4.5 hrs asked her name and to talk to manager, she hung up on me. 4.5 hrs they can't take a momment to call someone back. Run far away from this dealer. They are nothing but liars and scammers hiding behind shady sales tactics. Their entire business model is designed to rip you off. The red flags were there before I even set foot on the lot as they kept demanding a "deposit" just to hold a unit, the same sleazy tactic you'd expect from a back-alley used-car lot. I should have trusted my gut. After negotiating a deal for a travel trailer with both the sales rep and the manager, I showed up to sign papers and take delivery. The result? A complete circus. The rig wasn't ready. The paperwork wasn't ready. And despite having a set appointment, I was told I was "third in line." When the finance manager finally dragged in the paperwork an hour later, he immediately tried to bury me under paperwork, which included extra forms for extended warranties, GAP insurance, and every worthless add-on in the book. Then I looked closer at the buyer's sheet: they had quietly padded the deal with more than $10,000 in bogus extras which they never once disclosed or discussed. Only because I caught it and called them out did they backpedal and say, "Oh, those can be removed." Translation: we were hoping you wouldn't notice. If I had just kept signing, they would have stolen thousands. I made them tear up the contract on the spot and walked out. These crooks lost out on a $42K deal plus another $1,100 in accessories--and frankly, they deserve to lose much more. Where to begin. Our first RV we bought up in Marysville Wa. We traded it in for a bigger RV. It was brand new just recently put on the lot. But they never added the columns and beams for the slide outs. Both side outs. So we brought it in to have those installed. How it even got on the highway to that destination is beyond me. Then we started having problems with leaking. We brought it back in again and they informed us that the seams were not sealed properly and that's why. So they kept it for almost 2 months. They called us Monday and said it's ready come pick it up so my husband went and picked it up. He got it backed into the yard unhooked. We opened it up and I see all kinds of water on the floor. So I had him hook it right back up and bring it back. Three months they tell us your RV is now ready. So I went down there with my husband and decided I was gonna do a thorough inspection. What I found was rat poop. A ton of it. It was on my bed in our pantry on our couch our chairs. They had chewed the wood to the table to the bench. And the pose of work at the service department did they left a ton of their garbage in there as well. Well, that business closed down and I'm thinking a lot had to do with our trailer alone. But we would go in there and I would hear people complaining and screaming at the service department over issues. And here just recently in Fife Washington. I have to say camping world is the worst there. The customer service is terrible. Our dog has severe separation anxiety, and he broke through a couple of screens. So we went there to order them and they go through another company. Well, just today my husband went out there to pick them up and they wanted him to go through a whole bunch of stuff so that they could sell it from camping world give it a whole new number and it's absolutely ridiculous. My husband stood there for 20 minutes waiting and then during that time nothing but arguing between the service guy and the woman that was helping him. My suggestion is stay away. Don't do any business with them. They do Shawty work. And the customer service is really the worst that I've seen. I don't care where you buy RV from. Don't buy from there. read more

Although the reviews are not great, any business can be turned around! Our experience with Fife Camping World couldn't have been better! We drove 2 hours south to look at a Used Montana 5th Wheel that had a Fair price on it. Betsy came in on her day off to show us this rig, explained everything about it and didn't rush any part of the process. Following the tour, we sat down with Gil to discuss numbers and with professional negotiations, we agreed on a number! Two days later, we traded our Travel Trailer in with again a FAIR trade in value and were signing the papers. Kris explained everything in detail, I left without any questions and couldn't have asked for a better financial process, thanks Kris. A final tour was completed with Trent and the few things we wanted fixed, were repaired within an hour. All in all, this team is experienced, patient and serving the PNW community with class. Went to camping world to exchange ice maker. We had warranty and receipt. Waited at cash register and there was a manager talking to a worker about lunch. No one greeted or even acknowledged us. We finally asked for help and the mgr snapped at us saying they were coming. Once cashier came he didn't know what to do. Mgr came and helped then left. This happened multiple times. Cashier must have been new. Maybe someone could have walked him through the process. Even though we have shopped there for years, we are finally fed up with the poor customer service. read more

Beware if you bring your rv here. Note that your generator is considered a personal item so when it gets stolen from their property it is not their fault. Never would have thought that to be a personal item as many are sold with them but this is their stand. Electric fence we'll secured but not safe. This is just a small problem with them. I was not going to write a review until I saw all the horrible reviews already written. It's obvious that no one cares about this store, not even corporate, otherwise things would change. We came in yesterday looking for a van and supplies. Nobody there to greet you or ask if you need help. There were employees around but they were just playing and laughing on an aisle. We had to flag someone down to get help. That man then went to get someone else to help. We were told they would have to call a salesman over from their other lot. (I don't need to know that and why can't any of you help us?) when the salesman arrived, he informed us that he did not have a key for the van we wanted to see as it has been misplaced, but the van would likely be unlocked so he could at least show us the inside. It wasn't what we were looking for, but what was more shocking was that fact that he was smoking/vaping while showing us this van. This place seems very unorganized and unprofessional. Absolutely pathetic service. Took our RV into the Fife, Wa service center on a Wednesday morning. Was told they needed to do a diagnostics' test on it first and they would call me with the recommended services by that afternoon. After numerous attempts to get ahold of the service department (transferred to the service desk, no answer, no call-backs etc, etc), finally went back into the store the following Monday. They had not even started to look into the problems. Got nothing but a run-a-round about how short staffed they were. Service department was down to one person etc. As a retired senior executive myself, I have only one thing to say to the leadership of Camping World. I took my small trailer (8 by 10 feet) in for a roof reseal last fall (November). The interior ceiling showed water damage a week later, so I brought it back in. Again they said they fixed the problem and sealed the roof. it kept leaking, in multiple places, and is still showing new ceiling damage as of April the next year. It's leakier now than it was when I first brought it in. I have called the camping world in Fife multiple times; the service center is always busy and is not returning my calls. Please, Camping World, if you're too busy to do the job right, just say so before you ruin someone's roof seal. $2k later and with a leaky roof, I will never get service here again. read more

I would give NO STARS for the Camping World in Fife WA but that rating is not available! Being recently widowed I was looking forward to this next chapter and was excited to buy an RV...BUT...The salesman was more concerned about his paycheck than myself and the finance guy is a piece of work! Long story short... DO NOT BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OR ANY THING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! They didn't tell me the cost of any of it, gave me paperwork and a service agreement adding up to $3995 that they "added to the sales price" and said it was legal even though the two items are not mentioned anywhere on my "contract"! THEN...they charged me for 5 other "warranties" for my used RV, one for $8400 that was supposed to cover "everything " according to the finance guy but in the end only covered the coach AND when I reached out I found out that I could get a warranty direct that covered the coach AND THE CHASSIS for a couple thousand less than they are charging!! I also got charged another $3180 for roof protection and $1700 for a Good Sam Road/Travel assist! and membership. At no time was I given any paperwork to read or told that the total cost of my "warranty for EVERYTHING" was going to be an additional $17,275 PLUS TAX on the $3995 they added to my sales price! I have 7 "service/warranty" agreements all with a place for customer signatures but I didn't sign any of them nor did I see any of them prior to purchase! The service department has been an absolute joke. The communication is almost nonexistent. About the only time I hear anything about my RV in the repairs that are being done is when I go by the service department talked with camping world, corporate office customer service they patch me through to the Service Manager, who says that he's going to look into my problem and get back with me. He passes me off to some other service advisor. that don't even have the answers for me that the service manager told me he would get for me. I call the corporate office customer service again. They promised me a callback by 1 o'clock that day, but I hear nothing from anybody within the service department. I go by the service department location and not only do they not have my RV ready for me it's still sitting in the storage lot down the road (not ready). You would think after having my RV for 3+ months for the minor service/repairs that it was going in for and letting them know how important it was that I picked up my RV they would have a better answer for me then (oh sorry ball was dropped again). read more

On the road traveling to the Tacoma area and in the freezing temps broke a key off in the compartment lock. Of course they had a key but the guys jumped in when I stopped by and got the broken key picked out verified the new key worked. Only then did I notice a refrigerator vent cover completely missing. Was there at the last stop but now gone. The guys once again jumped into action for a short fix, but checked and actually found a compatible part in stock to 'fix' it and keep me running down the road. Today was my last day working here as a senior technician. Screw this. I'm out. 0/10 stars, do not take your RV here. I've moved on for higher wages and better working condition. Now I can't get in trouble for warning people away from this absolute nightmare of a shop. Here is some insider insight that I really hope corporate sees, and takes some heads off for. We have a few units that have been sitting on the lot for over a year waiting on service. Good luck getting a call back about it. The employee you talked to last has been replaced at least twice by now. The paperwork has probably been lost. This company has the highest employee turnover rate I've ever seen. They have lost 15-16 employees in the last two months. And all the senior mechanics are actively seeking new jobs. So anyone that had any skills here is leaving. Morale is so low barely any work is getting done anyway. If you're here for warranty work, prepare for months of endless screw ups and wasted time. You will not get your rig back until next year, and will still be missing parts. If you're here for service, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for better, cheaper service faster. Management for the shop is petty and toxic, couldn't lead a bucket of water down a hill. They have absolutely no clue as to what's going on in the shop on a daily basis. We had one tech spend 62 hours on a 3 hour PDI. They tried to back flag him, but management was unaware that they were supposed to switch his pay to incentive like half a year ago, but never did. So they have no way to back flag him without stealing his wages. I'm sure they will try. The regional manager reminds me of John d Rockefeller, if he was sawed off at the knees. he's the kind of person that would vote to remove child labor laws so he could save money on employees by hiring seven year olds. He comes in every once in a while to kick puppies and watch people pretend to work. Barely anybody knows how to do their jobs. They can't keep people long enough to train them. People who can train are all either gone, or leaving. They already shut the Puyallup location down, and moved their whole workforce to Fife. Most of those people have already quit. Camping world has a terrible name in the RV industry. This camping world is a shining example of why. Be warned. Take your RV somewhere else. read more

Do not go to Camping World for RV repairs. We paid $400 to have damage to our RV evaluated and were given a quote for repairs. We submitted the quote to our insurance who sent us a check. Camping World scheduled us 2 months out which we were ok with. On the day of the appt we took the trailer in only to be told the estimate is to low, it will be be double the amount. When we told them we had a quote, we were told the person who gave us the quote is not in this week and that he won't answer the phone. When we asked to speak to the manager, the service person said they already did and the manager refused to speak to us. We were shocked and unsure what to do, leave the trailer and call insurance or hook the trailer back up and take it home. The service person told us if we leave it, that it will sit there for a month at least before they touch it, then asked us if we brought our own tarp to cover it with, it was raining and was being brought in for roof repair. We hooked trailer up and have already found a much better, more professional repair company. The insurance had no problem paying the higher amount since the quote seemed low (we didn't know, our first trailer) but we were not giving anymore of our business to this company. Fife Camping World. Atrocious customer service. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I made an appointment to have my generator serviced and vents installed in the gen. compartment door. The service rep. (Jared) scheduled my appointment when he wasn't working and no one in Service knew what I needed done. They've had my 5th wheel for a month and still haven't finished the work. If I don't call I would never know the status because they don't return calls. I'll NEVER use them again. I've already got appointments at 2 other service centers for the rest of my list of the work I want done. No integrity, no communication, no respect for the customer's time. So like many places that have an abundance of bad reviews I doubted them. Oh how wrong I was. Purchased a used RV. was up sold on maintenance contract, 30 days later have plumbing leaks and all kinds of warning lights on the dash on a 2024 coach that had less than 6k miles on it total between me and the first owner. Camping world fife wouldn't even look at the RV, no one in Western Washington would accept the service contract, not even other Camping Worlds. Also camping world shops do not do chassis work even though they sell chassis maintenance contracts. Spent 2 days on the phone and kept getting pawned off to the same guy who lied to me about the service contract. For once I have come across a place that actually does deserve its bad ratings. Still waiting for someone from corporate to call back, guess the problems start there since they can't seem to be bothered that their stores are selling a product that is borderline fraud. Next step Attorney Generals office to see if anything they've done to me can be prosecuted. This is WA and the commie AG just may take on Camping world just because he can. read more

I was going to refrain from a negative review until we got to our campsite this weekend to find work we were told was complete wasn't finished. We brought our travel trailer in to have the roof inspection done and got an email a week later that we needed to have it scrapped and resealed. Ok no biggie but when trying to open the file they sent it was broken so we called, our tech wasn't available, left a message and didn't get a call back for days. Finally just went by to get the info. Several times we were told we would get a 7% discount for being good Sam member including when we went in and decided to do the work after looking at another trailer that just had it done with Justin. We give them the go ahead and have them also do slide maintenance while it's there. We get the call it's ready on 9/30 after a total of 3 weeks there and told them we would be in the next day to get it. When we arrived we were given the invoice with no discounts, I asked Tina who we were working with and she had to go ask. She spoke to Brandon who said only elite good Sam members receive the discount, I was like I am pretty sure we are, I looked and yes we are so we went back over and he was gone and no one could help us. Tina went and got a lead who tried to say they discontinued the discounts months ago. I was not having it, Justin and now Brandon had both said we would get a discount and Tina could confirm. We were told nothing would change without management getting involved, which I said yes they need to get involved. We left our trailer and were told we'd get a call Tuesday after the holiday, which we did not and had to call them in the afternoon and leave a message. No call back until Wednesday were the manager Nick also told us we wouldn't get the discount but would talk to his manager. When the manager talked to his manager he confirmed we get a 5% discount not 7 but that good Sam members do receive a 5% discount. So to just be done, we accept this and pay which they tried once more to screw us then and not discount it all the way. We get the trailer home and decide to take it out this weekend and I open the slides, one is totally loose and the other wasn't even all the way connected. They also at some point backed our trailer into something and popped our spare tire. I highly encourage you go elsewhere and if you do choose to come here beware and check everything before you leave. We will not make this mistake again anywhere. read more

THE GENERAL MANAGER HUNG UP ON ME !!! By the way, here is my bill of sale. They charged me $2999 for what amounts to maybe $300 worth of garbage low quality starter kit for 50amp service, however when I question them about what the rest of the money was for I was told the inspection and walk through. We'll it didn't really matter did it because I walked through the camper for 20 minutes telling them to fix stuff that shouldn't have been broken on a BRAND NEW EDDIE BAUER CAMPER. This is before I showed up on Saturday and waited 4 hrs so they could fix more stuff they broken in the time between purchase and pickup. DO NOT let them sucker you into this fee...you can buy everything you need to start out for $200. They also stole my ball/ball mount bar that I called the store about with no return call. read more

I'm giving two stars, one for the service techs and one for the checkout sales associates. We had the unfortunate experience of not once, not twice but working with parts who continued to mess up one thing that needed to be serviced- installion of a roof AC unit. We picked the model they have on display in front of them and yet the first time we worked with them it took over 3 hours for them to incorrectly help acquire parts we needed, as well as forgetting a major part needed (control box) that we would find out on day 3 of working with camping world. We went in person, had model numbers, said we would take whatever was in stock that would work and just needed it done as fast as they could. I went in person the second time without my husband after they insisted a part online was the ceiling assembly and it was not, literally turned the parts employees screen to me when she couldn't figure out if the part in stock would work for us and realized all they do is search their website, like I could. I asked if we could consult with a service manager or tech, since they work on this stuff and she said they wouldn't know and know nothing on parts.... yet it was the tech on day 3 that said parts didn't add everything needed to the work order, delaying the completion of this service. over 3k for the unit in total and it's been nothing but a headache. I'm not sure why parts and service don't communicate or work together to assist in this type of thing, or why camping world doesn't sell a complete kit for everything you'll need but go elsewhere if you have the choice. I thought something they do often, display in the front of the store, advertise everywhere would be easy enough but it feels as though Amazon helped more than the parts employees on providing information (yes we looked at the same items on Amazon to answer questions they could not). This was supposed to take 3ish hours to complete, dropped the trailer off in the am as requested with an appointment but was not made aware of the missing items required to finish until near closing and told it would need to stay overnight, making my husband miss work again as he works 2 hours away and with traffic can be much longer. I just.... go elsewhere if you're able or go in with a concrete list of what is absolutely needed because otherwise they will simply scroll and attempt to look busy when they have no clue what they're doing. Do NOT go to Camping World for repairs!!! Had our rig on May 30 and just was able to get it back today, July 13 with threat of Civil Court Action. Then they wouldn't accept my credit card for payment, when they had accepted it for down payment. I had to get hostile and threaten them. This company is publicly traded. Largest stock holder is Marcus Limones (Lemon in Spanish!). They have a pre-arranged hot line for complaints to Marcus Limones because they get so many complaints. Went in to order Norco Fridge for RV on 7/5. Before this, parts department was helpful in figuring out what I needed. Ordered in person and paid in full, over $2000. Informed fridge would be in by 7/15. Called parts on 7/17 to get update, informed they would investigate and call back. Crickets. I called again on 19th, same reply with different person, same result, crickets. Called a third time, 7/23, but this time Dave called me back right away. Finally, some traction. Unfortunately he informed me the fridge will not be in until 8/5. I have a trip planned 8/2, very inconvenient. I should ordered online from competitor, would shave cost $250 extra in shipping but would have been on doorstep in 4 days. If you can't get it in their store, go somewhere else. read more

Keep an eye out for their regular sales! We were here today for one. While I have used the parts/service several years ago, am not current with them and won't review that area. My review is strictly on the rest of the store. They certainly do have a wide selection of specialty accessories for your Recreational Vehicles, which is good! There are a number of items though that you can just get a regular store like Target. I have found that a number of the items I went there for previously were significantly cheaper on Amazon prime (scan the barcode with the app and viola). SO I would highly suggest comparison shopping. The staff have always been friendly and offer to help find something. Now, on to the K&M crap. Not happy with Camping World went in and bought a brand new trailer. Paid cash for it and paid the 1500.00 dollar post delivery fee. And after they delivered it come to find out the frig was not wired up so it didn't work. my battery wouldn't hold a charge and my microwave blew up. How or what happened to the microwave I don't know didn't even use it one time. And in nice words they are petty much calling me a liar and said that the only way a microwave would do that is, I had to have put metal in it. So they won't cover a new one for me under the one year warrant. This whole thing has been a horrible experience. I have been in the store talking to this person and this person and everyone says something different. One excuse after another. And since the trailer has been being used have found more problem with it. So why did I pay them the 1500.00 dollars for the post delivery fee, that clearly wasnt done. So I have wired my frig, fixed the battery problem and now my kitchen sink is leaking water on the floor. And bought my own new microwave. Will not do business with them again and will not recommend them. read more

Nothing like asking a live agent to confirm that they sell a product. Waiting instead of ordering from Amazon, and driving 30 minutes in traffic one way to find out they don't have it. Also that store is bare bones and I don't understand their prices if they want to stay competitive with what they do have in stock. Skip it order online and don't waste your time. Went to camping world for a (plug and play roof top air conditioner for the 5th wheel. They were told what unit was on top and a sales person assisted in fi ding the (corect unit) and that was incorrect payed for the unit took home and removed the old non working unit and installed the new one only for it to not work took it back off took it back to camping world fife it was tested and was told it worked . Took back home re installed the unit for once again it does not work was told to contact a survice tec wich we did the tech came out $600 later and it still does. Not work contacted camping world once again and this time they informed because it has been installed and removed re installed then removed again they would not take it back . Tocontact the manufacturer for wich we did and was told to return it to the store. And we tried but was told they will not accept it back. My motorhome had an issue and I called every repair place I could find. None called me back. Called Camping World, got an appointment for a day later, added an inspection and oil change and it was all done in a day. Fast, courteous, and reasonable. I must say I was shocked reading the poor reviews some people left. Thank you service department for everything you did for me! read more
