When this business was RV World of Georgia, our camper experienced great service, competent repairs, and reasonable prices for our annual winter checkup. The business became Gander, but kept the same personnel and policies, so we still got great service. This year, our 8th year for an annual checkup, the company is now Camping World. We brought it in, requesting a check of roof, slide, and systems. In the end, it took 4 trips and 4 weeks to get the camper back. In this time, they broke our front power jack, and replaced it with one off the shelf, which our service manager said they keep in stock because it happens so often. The replacement jack is of poorer quality than the one we put on ourselves. We asked how this happened, and were told they dropped the camper off the ball, which "happens all the time." In 8 years of camping in our trailer and having repairs done, we have never seen a camper dropped off the ball. Inspection found that new slide edging was needed. Extra screws were put in on the bottom, even though that was not in the repair instructions. This scratched the floor; the service manager implied that it might have been our fault the floor was scratched. When the repair person admitted extra screws were used, Camping World removed the screws and repaired the floor at their own cost. On trip #3 to pick up the camper, requested caulking had not been completed, but they charged us for it. On trip #4, when we finally got the camper home, we noticed that our custom epoxy-top table was cracked in two places. It is hard to crack epoxy, we have no idea how they managed that, and they didn't tell us about it. The back door no longer closes properly, and the water tank is leaking, both of which were fine before service. The one thing done right was the roof; it is clean and well-sealed. In short, more things are wrong with the camper than before we brought it to Camping World, and after 8 years they have lost our business.

Can we leave negative stars??!! This location particularly is the worst service location of any I've ever dealt with! Everybody was very helpful and on top of returning calls during the purchase process while I was looking to buy a 200+ thousand dollar class a motorhome. Once we finished the purchase, they Quickly went to not caring about my satisfaction or concerns. We have had numerous problems with our coach and each time we have brought it in for service, it has either come back not fixed or in actually worse condition than when it was dropped off. I would not refer my worst enemy to them for service or sales, I have made multiple attempts to speak with management, but none of them really care to address the issue. My next plan of action is to help spread the word to prevent others from having to deal with the same issues I have.

I was simply trying to get Information from the financial team. Long story short I was trying to figure out how to cancel my warranties. I was told the first time it is a very long process so call another day.. which is fine. I call another camping world in Augusta and was told the process was not long at all. I finally got the "long paper work" and it was only two pages! Afterwards I sent it back to the finance I asked a few more questions. "What do I have to do now ? " - response ( it's just a waiting game ) "Okay that's is fine , I just wanted to make sure my address is updated " And this is where I got rubbed the wrong way. Get this email back, which only provide attitude and no information that could help me. I had to call back up there to get the information from this person. Bottom line is don't ever send a email like this to your customers. If you don't have the decency to type a professional email and provide information that will lead to the answer, leave. You are working with people who owe over 20K !

And that automated robo response here on negative Yelp reviews is also a scam! Email them and then call but no one calls you back. They don't give a about their customers but want to trick potential victims to believe that they too won't get scammed. AVOID THIS PLACE! Consider Yourself WARNED!

Gander had the best selection of RV's and Brandon helped us find the right fifth wheel but it was sold just before we got a chance to drive down to see it so he was able to have the same model brought in within a few days. We love it. It had a few manufacturers defects and they got it in the shop quickly to address those cosmetic issues.

Buyer Beware My husband and I decided to purchase a new fifth wheel. Even though, we had been warned by other people we know , to never use Camping World because of the way they treat their customers, we visited their Buford GA location formerly know as Gander RV. Their sales staff were very eager to help us find a camper but, it all went down hill from there. We picked (what we were told by our salesman) the best brand they carry a 2022 Cedar Creek 345ik (Forest River) with the full automotive paint finish. Before you go through financing, you pay$995 for their experts to do a walk thru/ orientation of the unit with you. They started on the outside of the unit then once done there, we went on the inside. We notice AC was on but it wasn't cooling in the camper. When we asked their expert about this he said "it was just plugged in and needed more time to cool off but that the air would blow us out of there." Based on this comment to us we proceeded to finance where they were more that happy to sell us this camper. We were extremely excited about our new camper. About 2 days later we came to pick up the camper. We took the camper to our camp spot. Once there, we started the hook up process, and of course we noticed camper was warm but the doors had been opened. The next day it was 78 degrees outside so we turned our thermostats to 68 degrees and left the camper for several hours. Once back to camper the thermostats were reading 79 degrees. So we knew, at this point, the AC was not working and we were misled and lied to by Camping World formerly Gander RV. We called them that Monday to discuss the problem and the service writer told us to bring it back in immediately so we did. It has been there for over 30 days now. The Service Manager has been trying to convince us that it not reaching the set temp is completely normal. (Per the owners manual these units are designed to cool 20 degrees below the ambient air.) it was only 79 degrees outside and the camper thermostat was set to 68 degrees and was reading 74 and never dropped below this while we were meeting in the camper. The technician that was working on it said for us to really be happy we need to put an air dump system in the camper. So totally modify the camper and void our warranty. We went there on 2 occasions and they said it was working but once we were in the camper the the thermostats were never at the set temperature. (I have pictures to prove this) We had to reached out to the former GM with never a call back and now there's a new GM so we went for a meeting and we're told there might be a fix for the AC issue ( we were the ones to reach out to Forest River and I got their rep to call into the dealership with some possible fixes) so we gave them more time but no fix still. We have been told by the service manager and the GM that the units were not working and in a failed state. At this point, we wanted them to take the unit back, and we would pick out an another brand camper. We sent the new GM the stock number of the new camper. Last night, I received the numbers on the new camper, here they are as follows... we paid $98,500 for our current brand new camper we had for 4 days, They offered us $60,000 for it approximately $38,500 less than what we paid for it.(see pictures) This company is in it for ripping people off. They do NOT stand behind their customers or their products. They already made money off the first deal where they had misled and lied to us and wanted to make additional money on the second deal. We have requested a meeting with the regional manager at this time. I will update this review as we go.

Buying experience was acceptable, however, they delivered the RV with a propane leak. Took the rig back to be fixed, they had it for 2 weeks and couldn't find the leak even after their service tech was told where it was. Picked it up still leaking. Got home and fixed it ourselves in 10 minutes! Not happy campers!!!!! read more

My experience with RV World of George started early 2018. I pickup my 42' Tour Master motor-home from Freight Liner where they did engine work and installed new batteries. While installing the batteries the windshield wipers were unplugged, we were on our way out of town, so I called RV World and was told they could look at it within an hour, this was on Friday afternoon and we were wanting to get out of town that day. I drove from Atlanta to Buford, GA and was told by the service department they would get on it right-away. I was impressed with them for getting me in as quickly as they did so I purchased a gravel guard along with other items as a token of appreciation for getting me back on the road. I received a call later in the evening telling me they could not get the work done until Monday. I was disappointed but understood. I called Monday to check on when the windshield wipers would be repaired. I was told the problem was they were unplug-ed, once they plug them up they work OK. Around 10:00-am I went to pickup my motor-home so we could get out of town. When I arrived I was informed my motor-home would not start the batteries were dead, they had a charger charging the batteries (I just had Freight Liner install now batteries). I waited for two-hours & 45-mins with my wife and dog waiting in the truck so we could hookup and leave town. After waiting for such a long time, and being told It still want start, I went to the service desk and told the service rep I wanted to be taken to my motor-home, after 30-mins of delays and me getting upset the rep finally took me, in a golf cart, to my motor-home at which time I discovered it had been wreak. The right-front mirror was damaged and pushed into the windshield, the rear awning arm was damaged with paint from the other motor-home covering most of the rear awning arm. I have tried everything I know to have RV World of Georgia correct the problems. From early 2018 until now, February 23rd 2019 I still don't have my motor-home repaired. RV World is a company that I would NOT RECOMMEND to anyone for RV Repairs. They have been dishonest, refusing to correct their mistakes. They are now saying they didn't cause the damage and will not do anything about it. That is why I've decided to post my experience with RV World of George. If anyone would like to preview the denial from RV World I will be happy to share. Remember, I've tried everything to get them to correct what they caused... I will continue to post the details about how I was treated at RV World of George. How any company can do something like this and get away with it is crazy....... 16 months ago, I wrote a review on this place after I bought a 2016 5th Wheel from them. The sales process was excellent as was the service I received during the sale. I gave it 5 stars - and still do from the sales perspective. 2 weeks ago, I returned there with a service problem. In fact, it was the first time I've returned there for service, as I was getting service when at home from a mobile RV service company. This time, I came in for a 15 amp fuse problem in that it kept blowing on me. They put a new 15 amp ATC fuse in (identical to the ones I had been using) and it worked. Of course, it was not hooked up to my truck at the time - but they could not get it to duplicate the problem I had been having. I even asked the technician "should we hook up my truck to it to see if that makes a difference?" and he said "nope - it seems to be ok now". Within 4 hours of that time, same problem - and it is still happening. My problem with them, though is the excessive markup on the cost of the 27 cent 15 amp fuse. Yes - you can buy 5 of them at Walmart for $1.22. You can get 5 of them at Oreilly's for $1.47. RV World of Georgia used ONE fuse and charged me $11 for the fuse and $20 shipping and handling for a total of $31.00 for a 27 cent fuse. When I asked the manager about it, he said "you signed the order and we have to cover shipping and stockage". No - I won't return to RV World of Georgia for service and because of that - I doubt seriously that I would return to buy another $75,000 RV from them in the future too. My daughter found a really good deal here. We were promised many things prior to pick up of her pre-owned fifth wheel. "We have excellent cleaning crew who will clean this fifth wheel from top to bottom prior to pick-up!" "We agree to fix everything on the list you have given us." These things were not done upon pick up day. RV was dirty. Some of the promised items were not all completed. (Some were.) Very poor follow up by the sales person to make sure everything promised was ready on the day of pick up. Paperwork for the warranty was not completed correctly. It was completed in the wrong name. Initially we would have given this place five stars. But after purchase, their good service ended. On day of pick up, we realized two stars was the highest we could rate this business. Zero stars is appropriate here. These guys are quick to sell you a high priced RV, but pray you never need service. In February 2018, I bought a new 2018 Heartland Cyclone 5th Wheel Toy Hauler. Upon walkthrough at purchase, we identified at least 10 items that needed to be addressed. We were told to take it home, do a complete look over, and bring it back for service. Well the list grew to 20 plus items (not RV Worlds fault...that's a Heartland issue and a complaint for another forum). BUT, we brought it back in and our camper sat for 2 months with maybe 1/3 of those items being addressed. We had a trip planned, picked it up, went on the trip and brought it back again to finish the punch list. This took another two months (still not all was corrected). We picked it up again for a trip and this time there was damage to 3 areas of the camper where they banged it around on their parking / storage lot (AND admitted it). (Bent the ladder, scraped the side, and rammed the front corner). We agreed to go on one more summer trip and then bring it back in to finish off the original list and fix the damage that they did themselves. It's been sitting on their lot sense then. From August to October, waiting for them to fix damage that THEY did to my trailer while in their possession. We have owned this thing for 8 months and it has been on their lot waiting on service for 5-6 of those months. AND, half of that time waiting for items they themselves damaged to be fixed. You would think that they would make me a priority since the damaged my property. Our service guy is nice, but they don't have the personnel to handle the volume of service they have (reason why our camper was banged around in their parking lot by one of their employees). I escalated things to the Service Manager who called and said he would get on it, but it's been two weeks and I've not heard back from him. I've tried to be patient, but I would never buy another RV / Camper from these guys. It's the worst service experience I have ever had in my life. AND don't buy anything from Heartland either. They send their product to the dealer 80% manufactured. On a brand new 5th wheel, we have already had issues with slides leaking hydraulic fluid, leveler malfunctions, hot water heater not working, black and grey water valves mislabelled, water leaks at several windows, and that's just a few of the issues. It looks pretty, but quality is terrible. read more

Horrible business...do not buy a camper or let them service your camper. Bought a camper from them and as part of the deal negotiated in the install of the upgraded E2 hitch. The service department installed the lower hitch and when it was pointed out, stated we didn't pay for the E2 hitch (even though it was stated in the sales agreement). So we got 12 additional holes in our camper and no apology. Then they delivered our camper to us with the gray and black water over half way full. So essentially they sold us someone else's poop....Over all a horrible experience and I would not buy anything from this business again. read more

Buyer Beware! Do not buy from them! We bought a camper from these folks about 2 months ago and it has not been good. Just after the first camping trip there were a number (about 10) warranty items that needed to be taken care of so we brought it back here. After about 5 weeks of it sitting in the service department, with promises that they would call us back and finally my husband called them to tell them we were coming to pick it up. Very little had been done, what had been done was very sloppy and unprofessional. Also the parts that they said they were going to order never got ordered. I could go and on here about all the things wrong with this camper. We finally took it to another Camper service department recommended by Forest River Corp office and 2 days after having it there, they called and with a number things wrong with it. We then called our sales guy Ernest here at Gander and told him what was going on. The Service Manager called my husband but here we sit today with nothing from them. They have done nothing to help us, to make things right. These people are uncaring! They just want you to buy from them and then the problems are all yours! This camper is a lemon and we have been taken! Please reconsider buying from them! read more

Not recommended. Had a horrible encounter, particularly with Marvin Humphreys, a sales manager there. I thought sales managers were trained and hired to be closers who help the sales staff close deals. Marvin did the exact opposite. I was close to making a purchase, but had some questions for him. In discussing questions with Marvin he at one point made a racially insensitive remark and I confronted him about it. Then Marvin lost his temper and told me if I don't like the deal he offered, I should leave and buy elsewhere. That was a first for me. So I left and purchased at a competitor at a better price, with superior service. RV World may have potential, but Marvin definitely needs some training on sales etiquette and closing deals. His actions cost RV World a customer and caused a poor impression of the business. read more

Update on Oct 2017 purchase of 2018 Keystone Cougar 1/2 ton. Found out RV World of Georgia filed warranty claim with Keystone upon delivery of trailer by manufacturer. Before doing warranty repairs, sold me the trailer with no mention of defects they all ready had found. It's now 6 months later and just got call from service manager wondering why this work order is still open? After explaining my displeasure he said I was over reacting and sorry I felt this way. No resolution of major problems on NEW 2018 trailer but said RV World is available to make remaining warranty on Trailer right. They are real busy now so will have to arrange appointment so they can see what's wrong with the trailer, they already know they filed a claim with Keystone, and to return the trailer and they'll let me know something. If you read these reviews and think you'll have better luck, I only hope you do. I guess I'm lucky I only got ripped for $30k. Larry V. read more

They don't deserve a 1! Purchased a used 2 1/2 yr old camper. We Used it 3 times within 90 days and noticed the slide room was leaning. Brought it to the shop and was told 3 different stories paid 400 to get room serviced and black water tank cleaned. It took 1month to fix. We picked the camper up and noticed the room was still tilted. Brought it back and they said it was fine... but the slide room gaskets needed to be replaced at another $200. When we purchased the camper we got a paint protection plan, when they applied the protective coating they did a half ass job so they were to fix that too. Another 3 weeks goes by we pick up the camper and only 2 gaskets were replaced and the camper had white compound everywhere and they burned off the decals and left paint exposed to sun with no protection. The managers are NO Help and the GM is useless. BE warned if you get anything done here double check it. We now have a camper that looks 12 years old and the protection plan that sold us that is useless. Looks like small claims court to correct this problem. read more

Just bought a 2013 beware they do not pay attention or listen to the customer and are so high pressure. Don't sign anything until you're positive--- not even the options, paint or interior colors. They low ball the trade in value so be prepared with another quote for the " diff" before you enter the door. There was $9,000 difference from another dealer. When they finishes with the quote--"goofy numbers" there is no sale price or discount . The finance guy will low ball the non-refundable deposit so only their local bank of choice will approve the loan ,not at the best interest rate--- our credit score is over 830. Putting less down makes you a greater risk. We were going for $60K, he told the banks $40K. Make these guys your last resort. read more
