It has been just over a year since we purchased our camper, now at the end of the season we returned to Camping World to see if there was any way we could upgrade our camper to a motorhome. We were able to speak with our original sales person, and explained the situation. After Barbara went over options with us, we then looked at a couple of motors homes on the lot. We immediately fell in love with a 37 foot challenger. What an amazing coach. After going over the numbers, we asked to speak with the General Manager. Jerry came over and spoke with us and worked out the entire deal, of which we were very happy about. Both Barbara and Jerry were awesome. If you are in the market for a camper go see them. After having a horrible experience at Campers Inn, my husband and I decided to give Camping World a try. Our spirits were already diminished after having consistent issues with the previous dealership, so to begin we were already a little apprehensive. Upon our visit we were greeted by Barbara Gaultier, who was extremely knowledgeable and understanding of exactly what we wanted with the price budget we had. After her dealing with our millions of questions and concerns (that she dealt with the up most patience) we met with the manager Jerry Cadorette, who was just as phenomenal. To say the process was seamless is an understatement. Camping World's staff truly gives definition to the term "class act". What an absolute disaster this place is. The day of purchase went smooth, then all hell broke loose. After putting down 25% on my newly purchased trailer, they kept it in the lot with stairs down, door unlocked and bumpout out so the could use as a demo unit. We had to have three walk throughs due to the shear incompetence of the team. After the first walk thru, we found 5 things that needed to be addressed. We scheduled a second walk thru after finding out they were using the trailer as a floor model. During our second walk thru, they didn't fix the five items they were supposed to fix from the first walk thru. And we found more items that were wrong. Ex. When they installed air vents on roof, they took a big gouge out of roof. Now I have a patch on my brand new roof. The GM is as arrogant as they come and did not take any accountability or responsibility for their screwups. I kept hearing there was no accountability because of their high turnover. Never got a call back from Barbara after spending $24,000.00 to see if everything was ok with RV. Poor cleaning on the outside, environmental package is a waste of money, does nothing to make Motor Home shine or bring back color on stripes. They sell it for $500.00, skip it. They also charge also $500.00 to inspect and clean the RV before you pick it up. I had light burned out, grey water tank sensor was defective and read 2/3. They had it for 3 weeks to check everything out before i picked it up. Lights had bugs in them, draws not cleaned and wiped down, dash was dusty, wheel liners never cleaned. Had water marks of the outside from not proper drying when they put on the environmental package. Paid $300.00 to detail the outside once i got it home and I cleaned the interior myself. Thought there would be better service from a RV dealer than a used car dealership. read more

We had a great experience at camping world because of the manager Phil. We drove over an hour from cape cod to buy a vent that we saw on the website for $148 and called ahead about as well. We got there and the fan was much more money. We explained the situation to an associate and he said that's too bad and walked away. We were bummed but then talked to Phil and he took the time to see the price we saw online and made sure we left with the vent. We appreciate Phil's great customer service and kindness and we hope the other associate has a better day. We are happy to get on the road now with our new vent! read more

Bob S and Mike(?) who showed us the campers were super helpful and presented a very good first impression to us while we searched for the camper we wanted. Unfortunately, the positive experience stopped there! it has been nothing short of a nightmare trying to get our paperwork processed and the camper registered. I've had to travel there no less than 4 times over trivial issues that should have been taken care of the first visit. We were told to come back and to sign paperwork, should have taken an hour or so, 3.5 hours later we finally completed the paperwork. Apparently my time is not as valuable as the finance departments. Someone forgot to mention we needed to provide a check for the registry. It took 4 days to straighten that out. Instead of the office person looking for the check calling me they had the salesman call me. Between the two of us asking why the real reason for needing the check was misinterpreted. Note to management, have the person asking the questions call the customer directly to avoid these issues. There's a bit more to the story but I'll end it here. Suffice to say, I am now questioning whether or not we made a good decision in doing business with this business. read more

Completely disregarded insurance through Camping World and could not even read the mileage correctly off the odometer, instead reading the trip odometer, clearly not the correct mileage on the vehicle. I brought my RV in for a rather minor repair in March 17, I was told that the RV would possible need the insurance adjustor to come out and look for a supplement quote. OK no problem. that took about 5 weeks to complete. The adjustor told me he was there in a week and supplied them with an quote for the extra work. Camping world told me he never showed up. I constantly stressed to them that I need it for a trip Memorial day weekend to NY I was assured that I would have it by then. Lets fast forward to July, still no RV back, I go an look at the RV and notice a large wrinkle in the back fiberglass panel and Camping World told me the adjustor said that was previous damage and it was not covered. NOT TRUE so I spoke to the adjustor and they agreed that it was all part of the original damage and they would fix it. Fast forward again to the end of September, no camper and getting Camping world to call you back is impossible. What started out as a simple fix has ruined my taste for Camping World to the point where I just want what was paid for, fixed and returned to me in an acceptable condition. I can't believe Camping World Berkley allows this to happen. Just add me to the list of their many disappointed customers. Me and my boyfriend purchased a used brookstone ruby 5th wheel from camping world of Berkeley back in April/may. Since having the camper all 4 tires have blown on the highway from dry rot. We also have had our fridge stop working, ruining all of our food for us and our 10 month old baby. All of our lights stopped working, leaving us to believe there is a deeper electrical issue going on. The newest issue being the slide out under the bed is rotted out completely, and now the slide will not come back in. Camping world of Berkeley KNEW this camper had these issues, they do not happen over night. We spent 40k on a giant trash pile on wheels. We decided to call camping world and see if they could do anything to help our situation, we cannot leave the campground we are at because of this problem. They said there is nothing they can do.. but this issue did not happen in the matter of a few months. This was poorly kept and should have been fixed before resale. Thank you camping world for all of our wasted time and money! We will not be coming back. read more

We are very new to camping and this was our first visit. This place is a great help to new campers and had what you need. There are deals to be had, too. The minor complaint is that there are not a lot of prices on the items. Because of this, we did get to meet some very helpful employees. Corey was incredibly helpful, going above beyond to assist us. Before I embark on my annual trip to Florida, I like to have my RV checked out to make sure everything in coach is up to par. I have had this done at Camping World in Berkely MA several times and the service was OK. This time, it took me more than two weeks and at least 10 calls to get anyone in service department to answer the phone and then only after leaving a voicemail saying I would sever my relationship with Camping World if I did not hear back immediately. I finally got a return call and was able to make an appointment before I was scheduled to leave. On the day of the appointment, I traveled the hour and a half from my home. On check in, I told the service rep that I was particularly concerned with the coach batteries because they seem to be discharging more quickly than they should. An hour or so later, I was told that they had checked everything out and that the battery was great, along with everything else. I paid my $67.50 and left, but forgot to ask a question I had about whether my batteries were sealed or should be checked periodically for water level. Two weeks later, I remembered to ask my nephew, who is the maintenance guy for our family's campground. He opened up the battery hatch to show me and we both remarked that it didn't look like anyone had touched the batteries in ages. He popped off the caps and the water in each of the 12 compartments was very low, barely covering the plates. Clearly, I had wasted my time and money, and the Camping World techs had not checked out the batteries at all. That seals the deal. I won't be returning to Camping World again. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! OK, that's not accurate because they HAVE NO SERVICE! Seriously, we bought a brand new motor home costing nearly $100,000. I won't even get into the disaster that was the initial orientation and all the stuff that was broken then since clearly no one had looked at a thing despite that fee they charge. We've used it maybe half a dozen times and now it needs some warranty worrk. However we have been told since January that are told they aren't accepting service requests because they are too busy. Seriously? Why have a warranty if you can't get it repaired? People, read these reviews! The only decent ones are for the sales and not for the service. I beg you to not be swayed by the big Camping World name and the huge selection because STUFF WILL BREAK and you'll be right back here with the rest of us wishing we could give zero stars. If i could give them a zero i would. My family and i went to look at a camper that was on there site for 12,900.00 . When we arrived and asked about the camper they had no clue where it was it took close to an hour for the salesperson to find it. They finally found it in the garage and allow us to look at it . while we were looking at it another salesperson was also looking for it for a customer. My wife and i looked at the camper and liked it and decided we wanted to purchase the camper for the full asking price cash deal. Long story short the salesperson went to talk to the sales manager who told us since we weren't financing they were going to charge us 1500.00 extra (at the sametime the other customer was filling out paperwork to finance it) i told them i had been there before and was never told i would be charge 1500 because i wanted to pay cash. they basically said the best they can do it drop it to 750.00 which i refused. My point is they are a bunch of thieves stay away from this place. I will never go back here again for anything they are scum!!! read more

Do yourself a favor & go somewhere, anywhere else. They had our unit over a month. We were charged over $800.00 for "diagnostics", one problem of several only partially fixed. To add insult to injury our RV was a mess when we picked it up. No floor covering resulting in mud on our carpet from dirty work boots, our fridge was left closed the entire time(mold-gross!), and wires were left hanging over a foot long out of the wall. We were extremely specific when we dropped off on our time frame in which we had to leave the area. We basically had to just show up & reclaim our RV. I called in the morning to say we would be in to pick up, and I received a voice mail back stating they were still (3 weeks later) waiting on pricing for parts??! The girl in service told us she was alone due to vacations(not our concern or problem) and also the parts department was basically non existent. If we were told this initially we would have went elsewhere. Maybe if you don't have a parts department you should close the service department. Absolutely no communication. We have had very positive experiences elsewhere, unfortunately not at Camping World of Berkeley. read more

I don't know where to start. We saw the motor home at the RV show. we liked it. It was within our budget, served our needs etc.I told salesman we wanted it but would like a few days to confirm it. We arranged for a meeting the following week & arrived to find out they sold it from under us. We settled for about the same thing. A few days later we needed documentation. Told that if we did not finance it, the full amount is due. So we did pay. My wife took it out for the first test drive. Salesman noticed the steering wheel cocked over about 30 degrees. We then went on a hunt for defects. Did we ever find them. How do you get a boot mark on the side of a cabinet? How does the shower tub/floor have a crack in it? How are the cabinets cut with a framing saw blade, leaving split edges. EVERY time I called, no one answers. so I leave a message. In almost two months (paid for no less) I never got a return call. email or anything. I asked for the punch list of repair items only to get stonewalled. I used their own owners manual that stated the owner SHALL be given this list. I got 4 out of 5 pages. I finally took the rig to a RV repair shop for an independent third opinion. The steering wheel was out 30 degrees. The alignment requested was never done. At this point I was done with Camping World. When I finally picked up the rig from Camping World, over two months later, the steering/alignment was still not done. I requested an oil change & filter at my expense. Although brand new it had accumulated 1100 miles coming from the factory. Great time to make this important change. Never done. I finally made a written complaint at the Mass. Attorney General's Office. They are now involved. I made numerous attempts to contact "Danielle" the Manager. They protected her from me in impressive fashion. I never got her tel #, email, or anything else. I finally contacted the Main office in Illinois. I got the customer rep. She was perfect. This lady tried THREE times to reach the manager. Even she could not get through. Amazing! The Cust Rep in Illinois offered to compensate me for the never done alignment. She also dealt with the Atty Gen Office. My complaint stands. There are other issues way too numerous to get into. Once they had my money, I became invisible. I finally drove off the lot. We would have to make another date for the remainder of issues. Because I never heard from the Danielle or anyone else, the Cust Rep in Illinois told me that the missing parts had been shipped & received weeks ago, I emailed the Service Manager, Tony. He did reply. He wanted an entire week to replace a monitor panel (remove & switch wires) and to fix a wall panel. He had previously told me that it would be 1 1/2 hour job for the wall and 1/2 hour for the panel.Well.. They want the unit for an entire week! I guess they will fix it whenever they please. If I could give a ZERO rating, I would have. Maybe -5. read more

I would not recommend buying anything at Camping world. We bought a travel trailer from them the first week of April. Long story short, they sold us a trailer that needed repairs, and then sent us home with the trailer without fixing the issues. When we brought it back, they held it for 3 weeks and did not fix the issues. They told us they had just sold 40 trailers over the weekend, and weren't sure when they would get to it. They gave us the run around for 3 weeks before we decided to pick it up and pay out of pocket to have it fixed somewhere else. I never would have closed on the trailer if I had known that it was going to be broken and I wouldn't be able to use it. I now own a trailer, I can't use, I was better off without the trailer having no payment. Sales blames service, service blames sales. Huge buyer beware, don't buy a trailer from them. Just like most of the other "1" reviews, The Berkley location is a broken machine. There is NO service department. They don't reply to messages, ever!!! I bought a brand new Hartland M26 in February 2018, and have had nothing but problems. Windows leak, heater does not work, locks on storage units/outside kitchen don't work, doors to master bedroom keep coming off the tracks during travel, (yeah they're clipped together). Actually, both clips tore off, so I had to reattach them with larger screws. Tomorrow I will call the BBB to let them know how terrible their customers are treated. Then I will call the Attorney Generals office to complain of the service and lack of response. Then I will call channel 10 news to have them investigated. Then I will put out on social media what a horrible, uncaring, mismanaged facility they run. I will tell everyone I know, not to ever consider purchasing a camper from them. The last thing I will do, if I don't get satisfaction, is to bring back the camper, park it in front of the building, walk away and not make another payment. That's how bad this whole experience has been! read more

camping world has been notorious for bad reviews all over the internet and with other campers camping world of berkley is no exception it all started in june when i first bought a brand new 2017 thor vegas on my way home from crapper world i noticed the front end needed alighning badly, when i got it home i called but was informed it wasnt their problem, they said my warranty was with ford, ford told me it was a thor problem...no one took responsibilty and i ended up paying for an alignment out of pocket since november i have had a problem with my water heater, and had a toilet leak i informed crapper world of berkley of my issues and told them i was getting my hot water module sent to them and told them i would be in to et it fixed when the part arrived they sat on the part for 2 weeks, they never called me to tell me it was in, i had to call them.....and when i did i was told there was a month long wait to get in to service i brought my motorhome in 2 days prior to my scheduled service date because of weather issues, 2 days AFTER my scheduled date i called to check up and i was told they did not even look at it yet camping world of berkley is the worst customer service possible, i would not recomend doing bussiness with these people ever they promise you the world, and paint a nice rosie picture when you want to buy something but when it comes to standing by thier promises and their products they are horrible read more

Worst service ever. When i arrived in am service advisor was doing something on smart phone then reluctantly said, " can I help you?" It seemed as though i was disturbing his phone time. Had a bunch of warranty items to be fixed. After a few hours repairs complete. Left the business and after about 25 mins of travel heard a loud crash from rear of RV. Pulled over to find the bathroom cabinet that had been fixed had crashed down on top of the toilet. How it didn't smash into a thousand pieces was beyond me. Called business and none of the service advisors answered. Operator did take a message and I did receive a call back about 20 mins later. They did get the RV in right away when I returned. Service advisor very AGGRESSIVE when I asked them to have a another set of eyes look at the cabinet for damage. I informed them that I was just driving the vehicle for a friend that owns the RV, and that he probably wouldn't be too happy if he had to return for the same thing. Service advisor said in AGGRESSIVE TONE ID LOVE TO MEET HIM. VERY condescending little prick. I informed service manager of the service advisors tone. I'm sure nothing will be done- other than the 20 yo service advisor probably getting punched by some other customer. read more

After seeing poor reviews we were cautious about purchasing there, but with any big purchase I think everyone should be cautious. We stayed involved and communication with sales, financing and delivery was always top-notch. At delivery we discovered a broken part-but the gal checked her notes and noticed the switch was ordered when the RV came from the manufacturer. They found the part had come in a few days earlier and moments later an installer replaced the broken switch with a new out-of-the-box part right before our eyes-and I noticed he was careful of our freshly cleaned camper. We'd seen some bad reviews but after the friendly sales and service we received and the EXCELLENT PRICE-I would recommend this CW. My advice is to ask questions and state your expectations-customer service seems to be lacking everywhere but our experience there was respectful and pleasant and we would go back + we love our camper. read more
