This was my first time visiting Campagna. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a separate bar area that looks like a welcome hang out for locals. The restaurant side is old school Italian restaurant decor. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They start you off with Italian bread and yummy garlic spread. I ordered the salmon gorgonzola and my husband ordered Chicken Milanese. My fish was cooked perfectly, topped with a gorgonzola fondue and was accompanied with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. The chicken was accompanied with toasted gnocchi, arugula, fresh tomatoes, parm cheese, and truffle oil. Both dishes were very good. The desserts looked good too but we will try those next time. read more

This is a local Italian gem. The ambience is old school and the recipes here are consistently delicious. Salad or soup with entrees, the most delicious creamy pasta dishes; the Alfredo is phenomenal. Excellent Italian restaurant. They offer a five course price meal at a fair price. Big band for the money. They don't skimp on the portions either. We tried the shrimp and scallops over penne Off of the regular menu. My GF opted for the 5 course selection that included chicken soup, fried mozzarella, penne pasta, chicken Marsala, and finished with a cheesecake dessert. We both left with full sized bags. Happened up upon this place after a hike at Hurd State Park, which is nearby. From the moment I walked in the door I knew it was gonna be good. Was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. Caesar salads were generous in size and very well prepared. My eggplant Parmesan was delightful. The eggplant was light and the sauce was delicious. The owner bumped into me on my way out and was also very concerned about how our experience was- and I couldn't have been more pleased. My small family of three met up with my parents for dinner after hearing how much they had enjoyed their meals at Campagna. This restaurant has been on my list of places to try and I'm glad that we got the little push to finally make it happen. The table enjoyed a basket of bread and a garlic oil with a possible jalapeño kick. This was not verified by the restaurant but my dad was adamant. My parents ordered the fried calamari with peppers and the crab cakes to start. I sampled a bite of each and was impressed by both. The calamari was lightly breaded and tender. My son that doesn't normally like peppers could not get enough of these. The crab cakes (2) were served on a bed of lettuce. They were lightly fried and not overly breaded. They were drizzled with a tasty green sauce. All of our meals came with soup or salad. My mom chose the clam chowder and was pleasantly surprised. The basic salad comes with a pickled red pepper and olives. We all enjoyed these salads with the Parmesan dressing. Only my husband ordered the Caesar salad. He felt that it was basic and a little too heavy on the grated cheese. My parents both ordered the short ribs with carrots & squash and mashed potatoes. I took a small bite of the beef and it was very tender with a flavorful sauce. My husband ordered a dairy free version of the Puttanesca with fresh tomatoes. He thoroughly enjoyed it and did not miss the dairy at all. Our son wanted the lamb lollipops, but we talked him into the spaghetti and meatballs. Having never tried lamb, we thought the pasta was a safer bet. I did promise him that he could try it another time. I had a hard time deciding. I don't get to eat pasta often, so I splurged on the Tortellini Romano. A classic cream sauce with fresh peas and pancetta. Even though I only ate a few forkfuls, it was amazing. The staff was very attentive considering they were waiting on two large celebrations seated on either side of us. While a little loud it wasn't so bad that we couldn't hear each other at the table. I have passed by this restaurant hundreds of times over the past 15 years and never tried it. Well one evening my wife and I were looking for a new place and found Campagna Restaurant on YELP and it had good reviews. It's 20 minutes away but we figured why not. We arrived and were seated right away. The waitress came up to us and asked if this was our first time and we said yes, she knew and said that she never saw us before. We ordered drinks and appetizers, I ordered the italiano and my wife ordered shrimp cocktail. Her shrimp were Cooked to l perfection and my italiano was amazing, it came with Anchovies, my favorite. For dinner my wife ordered the Veal Orange which was very good and I ordered the special with 2 veal chops. Unfortunately mine was sold out and the waitress said the chef will substitute for NY Strip and scallops wrapped in bacon. My steak was cooked to perfection and very tender. As our dinner friend stated, a 'classic Italian restaurant.' The 4 of us got different entrees and all were happy. The red sauce (marinara) was sweet, flavorful but just a little runny. We're we're served fresh baked bread. Very good. The olive oil dipping was awesome, plenty of garlic and some heat and herbs. People were spooning it on. We were well attended by the waitstaff. The price was typical. The outside looks dated and the parking lot is a mess but don't let that discourage you from good food and service. We've eaten in multiple regions of Italy, and I kid you not -- I would actually say this was better. I had the baked lobster special, and it was flawless. My son ordered spaghetti and meatballs along with the homemade Rhode Island clam chowder (which I didn't expect to like, but it turned out to be the best soup I've ever had). My husband's veal with tortellini was just as outstanding. Everything came with warm fresh bread, (the oil dip was outstanding), salad with homemade dressing, and then desserts that rivaled the entrees: classic tiramisu, frozen gelato tiramisu, and a coconut gelato truffle that was unforgettable. Every bite was fresh, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. Tonight we did a pick up from here. I was expecting more from the reviews. My husband ordered the meat lasagna with the Caesar salad upgrade. The Caesar salad was OK, the dressing wan't the best. His lasagna was bland, nothing special. I also thought the noodles were over cooked. Nothing like mushy noodles. I have the fettuccine Alfredo with the house salad. The salad was good, but they put the dressing on it and not on the side. Just a preference for it to be on the side, because I don't always finish it and save it for leftovers. The fettuccine was OK. Again bland meal. The noodles were cooked perfectly for my dinner. It was also a large portion. In the end. For the quality and price I won't be going back. My husband said he rather of had Olive Garden than this place. Amazing first experience! They had a price fixed menu which I don't normally get, but it was such a value for $30. I figured I would try it because my friend visits regularly and raves about it. For good reason, everything from the homemade bread, to their ultra garlicky dip. I had stuffed mushrooms, pasta oglio (lots more garlic), eggplant rollatini, salad, carrot cake. My friend and I stopped in today after golf and our bartender was extremely rude. We were watching Fox News listening to Harris's speech. He walked by me and said what a bitch she was. Then turned the volume down and was calling all his coworkers in to look at my friend and I. We were just watching and he was saying things about Kamala. The bread was very stale and the price of our wine was $11.00 which was high for 4 pm. Thought it might be happy hour. The name calling and nasty comments were disrespectful and rude. Made reservations for 7:15 on Valentines Day. Got there around 7:00 and there was a line with no host and nobody waiting had been able to put their name in. At 7:15, someone came out to seat a couple waiting for a 7:00 reservation. At 7:30, the 7:15 people, including us were still waiting and had still not had our names taken. Took the family out to dinner for Xmas Eve. This is a quaint little place you could just drive right past and never give it a second thought I urge you not to do this. Warm and inviting from the time you walk through the doors. I had the stuffed mushrooms and veal orange. I loved but but I will tell ya when they say orange they mean it very flavor forward orange flavor. My wife had the fried mozzarella and prime rib special she loved both. My daughter ordered the chicken cordon blue balls and carbonara. She enjoyed the carbonara but loved the chicken balls. My parents both ordered the prime rib and my grandmother had the fettuccini Alfredo we had a nice meal for Xmas Eve. I will certainly return to this restaurant. read more

I used to love this place for a good and inexspensive lunch. The food was good, Maggie the bartender was great and while the prices were reasonable, they have since gone up. This spot is the place to go for a nice evening with your family or even friends. The environment is cozy and very welcoming. We came on a Saturday and enjoyed the great hospitality and the delicious food. To start off we had the crab cakes which were to die for. For our meals I had the stuffed chicken over vodka sauce with a side of veggies and homemade mash potatoes. I enjoyed every last bite of it. For our dessert we enjoyed nice ice cold, refreshing espresso martinis. Which was a great way to end our night. The food was fine, but I misunderstood the waitress and my plate wasn't what I expected. My husband didn't get what he ordered. The waitress fixed it with grace and the kitchen made my husband's meal in record time. Disappointed again tonight. Deb was on the bar side like last time, but we didn't walk out like we did last time because no one acknowledged us. Service was slow as was the bar but Deb still took time to talk to the regulars. When we ordered we were told there was no olives for the salad. Our appetizer had olives.
