Since discovering Camp Bow Wow, we have never had to give a second thought as to what to do with our two Goldens when we travel. Our "boys" love it there. They start getting excited when they see landmarks through the car windows on the way to Camp and it's hard to hold them back once we get to Camp Bow Wow's door. They come home really tired, which is a good thing! We love that they have webcams so we can watch the dogs on our phones while traveling. 0 stars! Bear went for a stay Friday-Sunday! When I picked him up 7/23 at 5:35, Bear ran out like he hadn't used the restroom in 24 hours. He pee'd for literally 29 sec (I timed) he also had diarrhea and had blood in his stool. When I went back in the girl said, "his cabin has been clean, there hasn't been any poop" so you mean to tell me, Bear has been in his kennel this entire time? We leave, I get home, and notice Bear has markings ALL over his stomach, and in his hair, too! I'm LIVID! This place is trash, unprofessional, and very disrespectful to the dogs! I will be taking him to vet tomorrow for answers and I will be following up with camp bow wow as well! STAY read more

The service is fine, they pretty much let your dog outside and feed them. You can watch them on camera and occasionally see a kid come in to clean up pee or get a dog. My dog comes home matted every time, and most recently came home soaking wet. When you walk in you're hit with the strongest smell of urine and fake pine trees. I have to give my dog a bath every time she goes to camp, even if she's just there for one day, because she reeks of the fake tree smell. I don't know if they're trying to use thirty wall scent plugins to cover the urine smell, but it's bad. read more

This place is terribly NEGLIGENT. I don't care what their website says about their caring staff... I just had my dog returned to me with a BLOODY eye! Any dog parent who uses pet daycare services would expect their dog to be respected, protected, and returned to them as they arrived. I can honestly say I was mortified, angered, and heartbroken by my experience here. I was told (vaguely) about an "incident" my dog was in and that he had gotten bit above the eye. Conveniently, no one witnessed the incident, so we don't know what happened... They said they had cleaned him up and all was ok. NO, HE WAS NOT! I was mortified when I saw him as his eye was bloody!!! This place is untrustworthy, unreliable, and unfit to take care of other people's pets. Their staff can be seen sitting around (this can be observed on camera), so I'm left to wonder how quick the response was to the "incident" my dog was in. When taken to the vet immediately after, he said it couldn't have been a bite - the injuries don't align. He said it was more likely that he was clawed or rammed into an object. WHAT?!!??!??! I don't ever want any dog parent to be in this situation, so I would suggest you find an alternative dog daycare service for your pet. Don't risk it... ignore the 4.5-star review, it's not accurate. We were fooled by it too (as many other poor reviews have shared)... As a side note - my dog has gone to alternative daycares and has NEVER... EVER... had an issue, so this was a terrible experience to have, especially as a new client! This was our FIRST DAY trying Camp Bow Wow. SERIOUSLY!?!?! NEVER AGAIN. I should have known that something was off when they made me sign a contract saying I can't sue for injuries or harm to my dog. Well... I started this thing with high hopes after I took my dog in for a day of camping! He was treated well. And the staff is very friendly. When I took him in for a four night stay, I had the same staff and they were just as friendly. There are no issues there. When I came to pick him up however, they told me they had washed him because he was covered in blood. He likes to chase his tail you see, and he sometimes catches it. But apparently he chewed the end of his tail off... at what point do you pay enough attention to notice, and stop the action? Apparently not soon enough. To top things off when o got him home, he barked for me to let him out, if you can call it that. He is so hoarse that he can't even whine properly. I'm sorry, but this is not conducive to their motto of "happy healthy pets" it more like "tired and sore pets" I'm not saying don't go there, I'm not saying the idea isn't great, but there's quite a bit of tweaking left in the machine. read more

Thanks to Amanda S's recommendation of Camp Bow Wow, Olof has a new place to rest his sweet head when Colin and I are out of town! When we inquired about Olof staying for an overnight someone quickly e-mailed us. They asked for Olof's shot records to ensure he had the appropriate vaccinations and requested we come in for an interview. ... I don't have kids yet who might have to go through kindergarten interviews, etc., but I felt like I was somewhat trained for it by this! Olof got a last minute bath the night before and we went on a long walk. Of course, Olof nailed the 'interview' with shaking hands and raising his signature eyebrows. Even though it was mentioned he's totally good to go, I had to leave him there for at least three hours that afternoon to hangout with the other dogs. The following morning we dropped him off at 9AM for an overnight. For $32 dollars he was given time to play with other dogs (dog park style,) food, and a large cage with a bed for him. We didn't have to bring anything but our sweet boy. The only thing that was a bit stressful was that we absolutely had to be there at 6PM the following day to pick him up or he'd have to stay another night. I sacrificed a bathroom break on our road trip back to make it by 5:58PM. Best part? There is a live feed of cameras so you can see your dog on your phone or computer whenever you want! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE. We have been taking our dogs to Camp BowWow for about 6 months. We have had REPEATED issues with them not communicating issues with our dogs with us. I had to call FIVE times requesting the manager before she got back to me 5 days later regarding an issue with one of my dogs. One of them had apparently been starting fights, and we were notified that he got into ONE fight in which HE was injured and the other dog was fine. It's no big deal, dogs will be dogs. However, what we weren't told is that my dog would be separated from all other dogs following that incident. The only way we found out was because our dog wasn't on the camera and we questioned them why and they told us we were notified that he would not be able to go out with other dogs - which was a lie, we were never notified. This was going on for several months of them taking our money and not notifying us of the issue and then when I finally got ahold of the manager she basically said we were aware and were lying. We had left our other dog there for a week and I called about 4 times to check on him every time I was told he was doing great he was being good. My husband went to pick him up today and he was told Frankie got to go out with other dogs "almost" every day. Even though when I was calling he was doing good. Then once he got home we saw he had a gash in the side of his face obviously having been bitten and we were not notified of this. THEY ARE SO NEGLIGENT. DO NOT GO HERE. WASTE OF MONEY. read more

Speaking in terms as a play date for my dogs, I wasn't impressed with the facilities at all. The area where the dogs play is really small and they shut down in the middle of the day. The dogs are put in kennels during the time they are shut down. I feel like I am paying for my dogs to have play time and they are stuck in an area smaller than their own yard and have to be in a kennel during part of the day. What's the point? The staff seemed friendly enough but I didn't feel my dogs were getting enough bang for my bucks. read more

I've been taking my dog to Camp Bow Wow for quite some time and never had an issue until recently. I dropped my dog off Thursday evening and had her in the luxury suite. I received a call Friday afternoon letting me know that she had been nipped by another dog that was overly aggressive during play. I asked if she was hurt, bleeding, etc. The employee on the phone couldn't give me any good information so I said I would come up there to assess her. I get there and look her over, she was fine, however her chest and belly was broke out in hives. I tried to get her to go back into the suite (which had piles of dog hair on the floor as if they don't sweep or clean between occupants) and noticed the dog food she was eating was not hers. I asked where her dog food was and the employee was immediately panicked. I explained that she has food allergies and is on prescription dog food. Needless to say, the manager was not there and the employee found that my dog food was given to another dog. She said the manager would call me which I knew wouldn't happen and still hasn't, hence this review. I'm just thankful that I got there and realized that things were not going well. I was set to leave the next day for vacation. No telling what might had happened if she continued to eat the other dog food. I also left 2 toys for her and they couldn't find those either. Not sure what's going on there, but that was extremely disappointing. I will not be going back. read more

So I would highly recommend this amazing dog accommodation with a word of warning! The staff (who seem innocent at first) are well trained and take amazing care of your furry children. This seems awesome until you realize their real diabolical plans to steal your former loyal besties love from you! My three fur babies are so excited to go on their visits/stays which is a great sign, or so I thought... after getting home I noticed a slight depression in all three family members of the furry persuasion for days. They wanted to go back! So I guess in order to become a lower choice on the menu I will be bringing my dogs (whom once adored me) to get their love fix from the staff! Excellent job! read more

I'm super happy with the staff at Camp Bow Wow. I've taken my dog in for day care and boarding. I love the camera feature-- I definitely watch throughout the day to check in. My two complaints are 1) I'd like to see the staff engaging with the dogs more, if possible. I check in a lot and just see the dogs standing there inside-- tails not wagging or anything. I think if the attendants would walk around more, especially between indoor/outdoor if would be more stimulating. Also they don't pet the dogs much. Not sure if this is protocol or what, but the dogs just don't seem to get much activity. And 2) I will echo what others wrote about the dogs being put in kennels during "lunch" and during extended periods during boarding. I can't see in the kennels-- are they in there alone or are they in there with other dogs? And why am I paying you to put my dog in a kennel for a few hours a day? I recently moved here from out of state and have been to several other doggy day cares where I pick up my dog and he can hardly stay awake on the ride home (much like a kid spending the night at a friend's house!)-- we haven't experienced that with Bow Wow yet and its what I'd like to see. BUT out of the options we have here in Tulsa, I'd say its at the top, especially for the price. read more

Heed the warnings, this place is no good. We had to rush our dog to the animal hospital as soon as we picked him up after a 6 day stay. He had very bad diarrhea and it was evident from the deep stains on his white fur that he had been sitting in his own excrement for several days with no relief. We suspect that they didn't feed him the food we had brought because none of it was used. Not only did they fail to feed him the food he needed to stay healthy (which we provided in full), but they did not once call us to let us know that he was sick. Upon pick up, he was not clean despite us paying for a bath, and when the worker was confronted (after attempting to walk away and ignore us) she said he "must have pooped after his bath." The workers don't care at all and the health and safety of your pet is not their priority. Whatever money you think you'll save with this place, you'll just turn around and spend on a vet bill. Please, for the sake of your dog, use another service. read more

Yep - Bow Wow is still my favorite place to take my pups. Here is a reason why: Saturday, they had a tent on the Guthrie Green for Rock-n-Rescue. The table was being manned by Erin, who is a former camp counselor and was volunteering that day at the Bow Wow tent. As we approached, she had a pleasant look on her face and said hello, but you could tell she had no idea who we were. Then, she saw the dogs. She recognized them right away and immediately called them by name. This sort of attention and commitment to our dogs is what I love about Bow Wow. They probably have 100 black and chocolate labs stay in a given year, but their counselors always recognize Kelso and Lucy. The owner, Amy, is wonderful. She took her dogs to a Camp Bow Wow in Dallas when she lived there and was so impressed with the company that she now owns two locations in the Tulsa Metro area. Our dogs still come home from Camp exhausted, and cranky that they didn't get to stay longer. As a committed pet parent (or crazy dog lady), I really can't stress how well they will take care of your furry four-legged babies! read more

Great place to park your dogs when you can't be with them but want them to be free to play all day. The staff is really nice and helpful and makes you feel at ease to leave your dogs. They verify all dogs have their shot records. Overall a great choice when needing to leave your dogs somewhere while out of town or having guests at your home. read more

We contacted Camp Bow Wow as we were needing kennel services in another town and state. Camp Bow Wow has locations throughout the United States. They like to get to know a pet before boarding so our pet was invited to spend a few hours here in Tulsa free of charge. Upon completion of our pets stay the staff posted on line our pets experience and we were able to board our pet at another Camp Bow Wow location 1,200 miles away while we attended our daughter's wedding. The staff at both locations were great and our pet loved the experience. They also have day camps and while there I observed other customers bringing their pets in and the pets couldn't get back to the camp fast enough as they were so excited. read more

We LOVE Camp Bow Wow. Our Tillman enjoys camp 2 times a week and every time we go out of town we board her over night with Camp Bow Wow. All the Counselors are so friendly and very aware of what Tillman has been up to during the day and they let us know of any concerns. The staff are friendly, dependable and enjoy our Tillman as I have seen them enjoy all the pups that come under their care. An additional note - the Tour in March REALLY enforced our commitment to Camp Bow Wow (CBW). CBW is not only a safe, friendly and dependable place but it is REALLY CLEAN in the areas where we board Tillman! A very interesting and worthwhile experience. We had used the one in Tulsa and thought our dogs were well treated we moved so we took them to the Bixby Camp. When we went to pick them up the dogs were barking and crying and asked why they were upset and the girl said they wanted to go out but the staff hadn't cleaned yet so they would just have to wait! Camp Bow Wow in Tulsa in great. My Dog stands up on the play area door and can't wait to get inside. He loves to socialize and I really like the indoor/outdoor accessibility. And it's fun for me to watch him on my phone or computer & see how he acts w/o me around. The staff is always pleasant and seem to enjoy their job. When i go to the dog park they call him by name. I have been to two other places in town and not nearly as impressed. He is so tired when he gets home (if he doesn't fall asleep in the car) and then I get a chance to clean!!! read more

We have been taking our dog to Camp Bow Wow Tulsa for 7 or 8 years. Its been fine over the years. This last weekend visit was where the big problems came in. My husband picked up our normally super active and super happy lab mix but this time the dog had no response when he got there. When he got the dog home, he noticed that the dog was drooling and couldn't eat or drink. The dog got more and more lethargic as the morning went on. To this day we don't really know what happened but a second call told us the dog licked up "non toxic" chemicals. If the chemicals were "non toxic", why did we have to take the dog to the emergency room twice in one day. My husband was truly afraid we might lose her after this Camp Bow Wow visit. We received one email asking about the dog but no offered to pay emergency room bills and no offer to comp our weekend stay. Our dog was extremely sick for many days after we got here home and no one at Camp Bow Wow noticed or cared after we paid the bill. Needless to say, we will be finding a new place for our dog. read more

We started off as big fans of Camp Bow Wow and on some days our dog's experience is wonderful. Unfortunately there is a staff member who does not like our dog and on days she is there he spends most of his day locked up in a kennel on whatever trumped up charges she accuses him of. On days she is not there he has a wonderful time. We are very annoyed to pay for him to be kenneled ... he can be kenneled at home for free. Only when I call to ask why our dog is not in the play areas is he allowed back out. read more

I dont know what I would do if Camp Bow Wow didnt exist! My dog, Gunther, normally would have to sit around my house all day potentially detroying everything I own if he didnt have a way to exercise and expel his energy everyday. Daycamp allows my dog to do this! I enjoy the fact that I can check in on my dog at anytime while I am at work. Camp bow wow has cameras on an easily accessible website that allows me to watch my dog play and show him off to my coworkers. Ignore the previous review, that person obviously didnt ask any questions or the staff would have explained why her dogs are kenneled sometimes througout the day. The dogs are kenneled 3 times a day to eat and to rest from their hours of play. If my dog ate and played, he would develope bloat which could potentially kill him. But because the staff are all very knowledgeable about dogs, my Gunther is taken care of! I always get good reviews about Gunther througout the day and how much fun he has had. The staff at Camp understand that my dog is my child and they treat him as such! I couldnt ask for more quality care and love! I plan to adopt a Bull Mastiff soon and it is nice to know that a dog of that size will have a place to exercise, socialize and get lovin all day from the staff! read more

We have taken our 2 dogs, Hunter and Abby, to Camp Bow Wow for boarding on several occasions. I was able to tour the facility which I was not able to do at the place I use to board them. I thought it was very clean and the kennels were quite large. I also enjoy the Camper Cams and I find myself watching them on my computer or on my iphone using the Camp Bow Wow app often. I see them interacting and playing with other dogs and the Camp Counselors are there most of the time playing with the dogs. I feel very at ease when my dogs are at Camp Bow Wow. I know they are getting special attention and love (I have seen it on the Camper Cams). The staff are all very friendly to my dogs and me. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow. In fact, we live in the Sapulpa area and it is worth it to me to take them out of my way to Camp Bow Wow. read more

I love that the dogs are cared for as if they were their own. I don't worry one bit about leaving our family member at Camp Bow Wow. I know that playing all day reduces the stress of being in the kennel at night, which is a great relief; and, I love that I'm able to check in on my sweet girl at anytime by using the Camper Cams.
