    WHAT I GOT
    Sarah S.

I am LIVID about the groom I just received as a first time customer. I have a standard poodle, and this is THE WORST GROOM we've had. Before booking several weeks ago, I called to ask if there were any groomers who specialized in poodle coats. I was assured that ALL groomers were trained to cut poodle styles/coats. I brought in a very simple, even trimmed long coat photo as inspiration for the cut I was going for. Of course, I understand a little variation from an inspo pic is to be expected. Imagine my HORROR when I pick up my dog with SHAVED ears, a completely jacked up SHORT top knot, feet with razor burn in some areas, yet untrimmed in others, long nails, and a misshapen tail?!?!? Since when does a poodle tail have a fade? It's all very confusing and my dog looks absolutely ridiculous all over. Like, NO redeeming factors to the technique or style anywhere. I provided a print out with basic bullet points as well as a photo to ensure communication was clear, and verified the look with the receptionist. The groomer came out to apologize when finding out I was not happy, and she refused to take responsibility, blaming everything else - "yeah I saw the picture but he looked like he should have short ears" WHAT?! I said "but on the paper it said to not cut the ears or top knot, just an all over even trim" She replies "well I didn't see that." I'm soooooo upset!!! It took MONTHS to grow my dog's coat out, and hours of at-home care to ensure a proper long-coated groom. Not only is it the wrong cut, but it looks absolutely RIDICULOUS! Poodles should never have their top knot SHAVED above the eyes. Not only is it the wrong cut, but what they did to my dog isn't a cut at all. Tufts of hair sticking out everywhere, jagged, just BAD BAD BAD. The ONE star is for the receptionist who did everything she could to fix what was left of the situation. They did refund my money, but that doesn't undo the damage of the cut and time it's going to take to get my dog back to looking normal. I did schedule with another groomer a couple months out in hopes to update my review in the future.

I have always had good experiences here. Just dropped my dogs off today for grooming and they look great! They were timely and all of the staff was very helpful and kind.

They are always so gentle with my sweet baby girl. They know she is the love of my life and they take great care of her. Some time I need to share the photo of what she looks like after grooming

The business owner is ridiculously rude and unprofessional I have ever seen. My dog had gone to Paws for a while but today was our last visit. The business owner he's denying that he didn't see any problems with my dog body even there are scratches. He didn't say sorry to my dog, that hurt me. The following was not great his attitude was the worst when I asked for my money left in my dog 10 day package. " I'll refund you in CASH" I don't know why he had to say that to me and then he threw the money at me as well. Great I said I'll write him a review about this, he said " go ahead getting in the internet to blackmail his small family business, take pictures let the internet see if there's any scratches and let the internet know how great you are". To him, my dog is just a thing for him to do business but to me he's my son. The main reason this review was written was his attitude. RIDICULOUS!!!

Booked an appointment for a bath and groom for our dog. We have been taking her to a big name store for this but they didn't seem to do a good job. After her appointment at Paws on Pearl she actually smelled and looked so much better!

Dr. Pfeiffer is very unethical. I take writing negative reviews very seriously, in fact, this is…read morethe first negative review I've written on any person, organization or clinic. My accusations have been substantiated personally. Firstly, she will up charge, for example, her clinic suggested I go with the more expensive allergy medication on a monthly basis, when in fact there was a less expensive option approximately $100 less. Furthermore, I was able to verify that it was not necessarily needed monthly depending on the severity of my pets allergies. In other words, if my pets allergies did not return, there was no need to continue getting monthly treatments, although, I would receive monthly notifications that my pet needed more shots. In addition, Dr. Pfeiffer was verbally deceitful directly in conversation with me personally, in which her claims were proven to be untrue and in which she knew firsthand. In fact, the outright deception was of her making. Dr. Pfeiffer brings shame to this medical field. Although I cannot prove it, I would imagine the majority of veterinarians do not operate their business at such low standards. I will NEVER darken DR. Pfeiffer's doorway EVER AGAIN and in fact, I would not suggest Dr. Pfeiffer to my WORST enemy. In closing, the primary purpose of this review is to encourage others to ensure the veterinarians treating their pets are indeed ethical, and have your pets best interest at heart. I'm sure those reading this can agree when I say my pets are my children and their medical care is of the utmost importance to me.
