I notice he had a small tuft of hair on his tail that looked odd, but I just figured he had nipped at an itch. I was not told of anything happening during his session and even called, once I notice it was bothering him, to see if maybe a new shampoo had been used that was causing irritation or other dogs were having reactions to something. I was assured nothing different had occurred during his grooming. I was never expecting what came next. Two days later his tail had become super irritated and was losing fur due to his chewing on it. A couple of more days of his not responding to anti-itch meds and a cone, and I went to my vet. She discovered his tail had a 'guillotine' cut at his base, where the tuft had been, and the blood vessels were severed, like something heavy had dropped/shut on it. His tail was dying. After daily treatment, meds, and artificial skin attempts he literally ate his tail. $1500 later and major trauma to my pet and my family, he is recovering now with a bobbed tail. Throughout this entire devastating experience, the groomers never admitted to the chance that something happened during the grooming and at one point suggested I might have shut his tail in my vehicle's door! Really?!! All I know is that he went in as usual: beautiful, happy, and healthy. He came out with a dying tail.

She eventually arrived and blithely informed me that I was 15 min late and she couldn't take my dog. Sure, "NOW" i was 15 min late but the bulk of that time was waiting at the grooming door and walking around trying to find somebody who worked there. She said there was no time but I pointed out that my dog is 10lbs and probably a fraction of the time they normally alot to appointments would be enough. She said 'no' but she was clearly more interested in sitting down with her lunch than her client. Here's the kicker: she offered to re-schedule me but I said "why would I ever want to work with you again?" at which point she shrugged, gave me the finger, and walked back to grooming to eat the bowl of whatever green-haired tatted millenials eat. They aren't just any kind of boarding place that just wants to take your money, they actually care for your dog and play with your dog! Much to my surprise I could no longer order this size bag online which is the only way to use the coupon. I went to my account and looked at my previous orders and hit Order Again. It went into my shopping cart but I could not submit the order. I called the support number and was told that size bag was for purchase in store only which means I could not use the coupon on it. I was, however, eventually able to order it when I added another item. I can't believe Petsense is so greedy it would sucker-punch the customer so that they cannot use their coupon online for products they have consistently ordered and because it is a large size bag of dog food. That being said, if I cannot order this online in the future there are a lot of of other stores online or in person I can order it from instead of Petsense.

Plus, we did the anti-shedding treatment and I'm already amazed at how perfectly it's working. I was on the fence about trying it because the "furminator" treatment at PetSmart did not work for us at all. So glad we did the treatment here. Before booking, I was really concerned about the pickup time issues mentioned in previous reviews, but I just asked her if she would be able assure us of a no later than 6:00pm pickup time, since that was vital for us. She assured us she could and she absolutely delivered! Dropped off at 10:30am and picked up at 6:00pm. Perfectly groomed pup right on time. Cherry was also very nice, professional, and easy to communicate with. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience!
