I had specific questions about cat food and the first person I asked didn't know the answers, so instead of just brushing me off, they found an associate who was knowledgeable in the area. The second associate was able to answer my questions and wasn't pushy about selling me something I didn't need. On another visit, my animal loving daughter had a ton of questions about the various animals there and instead of brushing her off, the associates were enthusiastic and helpful to her. There were more cat items than I anticipated them having and prices were very reasonable. Aside from all the pet merchandise, they also host events and classes and owners often bring their pets with them to the store. Check out is efficient and well staffed. Overall, a great place to shop for all your pet care needs.

I've been getting him groomed a long time. I know what a freshly groomed face looks and smells like. Photos 1&2 show Petsmart 6/1/25. Third photo shows groomed in the past by another place. I expressed to the manager I was not happy with his face. He said grooming was not his expertise, therefore we went to speak with Suzy. She was condescending, as if I don't know that tear stains can't be removed easily, and as though that were the problem. He looked and smelled as if nothing was done to his face. Worst money I spent on a groom. Don't use them for the manager's response and a groomer that looks as if she hates her job and the customers. Bye Suzy H.! Update...customer service is just as bad. They promise to get back to you in 48 hours and never did. I guess that's why the groomers and managers are as bad as they are. I will spend my money else where. Sorry my dog had to endure this. Don't do this to yours.

My dog isn't a fan of larger dogs, so this is a great place to take her for daycare and boarding. The staff has always been welcoming and friendly when we stop in and treat my dog as if she were their own. Their prices are competitive with other dog boarding facilities in this area. I like that they offer a 10-day punch card for daycare as well. They also have grooming services by appointment, and all day care, boarding, and grooming appointments can be made from their mobile app. There isn't a live camera to watch the dogs play, but the staff are really good about posting pictures on their Facebook page of all the dogs playing. I highly recommend this business for those with dogs (40lbs or less!) in the Carnegie area!

I am extremely disappointed with the grooming service my two Golden Retrievers received here…read more When I dropped my dogs off, I was very clear about what I wanted. I asked for their coats to be trimmed as short as they could safely go because they have double coats, but I specifically and clearly stated that I did NOT want them shaved and I wanted their double coats to be safe. When I picked my dogs up, I was shocked by how short their body coats had been taken. Their coats were left extremely short and very uniform across the body. My issue is not simply that I didn't like the haircut. I understand that grooming involves some interpretation. My issue is that I specifically communicated a limitation -- short, but not shaved. There is also a reason owners of double-coated breeds are often advised against shaving or taking their coats extremely short. A Golden Retriever's double coat serves important functions beyond appearance. The outer coat helps protect the skin from environmental exposure, while the undercoat provides insulation. Removing too much of that coat can reduce the dog's natural protection from sun exposure and temperature extremes, increase the risk of sunburn and skin irritation, and in some dogs the coat may grow back unevenly or with a different texture. It can also remove the natural protective barrier that helps protect the skin from dirt, insects and other environmental irritants. That is precisely why I made a point of telling the groomer that I did not want my dogs shaved. I expected a professional groomer to understand the risks associated with taking a double-coated breed extremely short and to respect the limitation I gave them. I called the business to ask what had been done. Instead of having someone calmly explain the grooming process, the groomer was rude and dismissive and essentially responded with, "So what's the issue?" And the groomer denied shaving them completely. I ultimately asked to speak with the owner because I did not feel my concern was being handled appropriately. The owner did eventually call me and apologized, which I appreciated. However, when I requested a partial refund, the owner refused. Instead, I was offered 50% off another grooming appointment for each dog. I don't feel that offering me a discount on a future service addresses the problem with the service I already paid for. I also don't appreciate being told that the owner has "never had anyone ask for a refund before" as though that somehow invalidates my request. Please look at the photographs and make your own decision. I would strongly recommend being extremely specific about what you want and making sure the groomer understands exactly how much coat you are authorizing them to remove. $190 spent, an unwanted haircut, no refund, and no confidence that I would receive the service I requested if I returned. Below is a before and after of my dog..

I happen upon two dog walkers with a crew of dogs during one of my daily walks with my dog at Schenley Park. More than six weeks ago, our dog, Mulligan, went missing while in the care of Sheileen at Go Dog…read moreGo. 36 hours prior, I gave birth to our daughter. We entrusted Sheileen with Mulligan, our companion of almost nine years. Mulligan has been through so much with us--Covid, moving, family death, infertility treatments. He was never "just a dog" but a family member and our best friend. We always travelled with him as opposed to leaving him in day care. But we needed another option while I was in the hospital since we are far away from family. He spent time with Sheileen leading up to the birth. We really believed the best plan was for him to stay with her. Mistakes and accidents happen. Dogs go missing. But Sheileen let Mulligan off leash when she was instructed not to; she did not keep her eyes on him while he lay in her backyard; she did not consider a "chunky chihuahua" could fit in the gap between her rod fence and the grass. She did not call my husband right away (it took days for us to get an accurate timeline). And worst of all, when my husband left me in the hospital to look for Mully *with Sheileen* she shut off her phone and went to bed. He rang her doorbell relentlessly and no one answered. Hours later, when he returned to the hospital, he was covered in mud and sweat from searching. Our daughter lay in a bassinet next to us. This devastation was our second night as a family. It's been more than a month without our boy. In that time what was supposed to be a tender transition into parenthood has been a painful period of loss. Anxiety has certainly impacted my postpartum recovery. I ache for Mulligan to lie next to me while I nurse his sister, and to curl under the covers in the space behind my knees while I fleetingly sleep. While my husband makes calls and flyers, I picture an alternative where we are all together, cuddled in bed and on long walks as a family. Searching for our dog was not supposed to be how we spent our maternity/paternity leaves. This was not supposed to be our future, as we will never give up looking. Sheileen's actions reshaped core memories. It changed our lives. Mulligan was 11 when he went missing. We could have had at least five more years with him, likely more. And then, when we had to make a decision to let him go, he would be my daughter's first experience with grief. Instead, this is mine. The pain from this loss exceeds childbirth. I think about him all of the time. For nine years, we did everything we possibly could to make sure Mulligan felt safe. We thought we could trust Sheileen, but she broke that trust in the worst possible way. She didn't protect Mulligan the way she promised she would. And I can only hope, wherever he is, he is safe.
