We took our dog in for an interview this morning. The woman I interacted with was really nice and gave me a great first impression of the place. Our dog is really good with people and dogs so I knew he would do great; however, when we went to pick him up, we were told by the girl at the front desk that they were "neither going to pass or fail him". She told us he was nervous at first and not really playing, but then seemed to get anxious when other dogs were playing. I think any dog would be anxious when in a new environment for the first time, especially being around 10-15 other dogs in such a confined space. She told us he wouldn't "snap" but he would show teeth. I've never seen this behavior from him around other dogs, in fact he gravitates towards other people and dogs and thrives off of the social interaction. Our dog doesn't even bark unless he feels threatened or bad energy from someone. She told us he was fine after with some "redirection." The redirection? A spray bottle, from what we saw on camera. Who knows what else. I had mentioned to the first woman that our dog had been mistreated by his previous owner so I didn't imagine they would do anything to mistreat him. The girl that was there when we picked him up denied that he was sprayed even though we saw it happen on the camera. If spraying dogs is part of their process, they should at least have the decency to let us know beforehand or admit to it when confronted. I occasionally watched the cameras while he was there and he seemed to be fine the whole time. There was a period of time (an hour or two) where we didn't see him on any cameras, so I'm not sure what was going on there. Probably some more "redirection". He was very anxious when we picked him up, more than normal. He seemed different, and not in a good way. He still had a ton of energy as well. This place seems to be run by teenagers who interact more with each other than they do with the dogs. There were only 1 or 2 employees in each pen with 15+ dogs at a time. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be neglected and stuffed in a crowded playpen, this is the place for you! (Pictures are of the outdoor area where you can see the spray bottle on the employee's hip, and the indoor area, with about 10 dogs at that point. I brought my dog for his initial interview and had him there for three hours. He was completely ignored for the first two hours! I know this because I had nothing better to do than watch the cams and he is super friendly but needs human validation to be comfortable. He sat in the back corner of the outside area for two hours. I had to call TWICE just to ask for someone to give him two mins of pets and love. (I watched as the employee pet the other dogs while mine sat there watching) They finally did and right after that he was playing with the other dogs and running around. The picture I have is him by himself while all the other dogs are in the indoor area playing. Very sad that until I called he was totally ignored and uncomfortable. I have an 8-year-old rescue dog. Daisy was abused before we adopted her and has never liked going to boarding facilities. She would always try to "put on the brakes" or back out of her collar and leash when we took her. I am so glad we found Camp Bow Wow in Parker. She went for a five night stay recently after a couple of other stays there in the past few months. She not only went in without any problem but she actually seemed happy about being there. The staff welcomed her by name and seemed happy to see her too. I check in frequently on their live video feeds to watch her during her stays there and am thrilled to see interaction with the staff and dogs. There is always a staff member in the rooms where the dogs are playing and I can see Daisy is happy. When I picked Daisy up at the end of our trip, the attendant told me how she hand fed her and spent time with her to make sure she was eating and happy. No wonder Daisy likes it there - lol. Will not go back nor would I recommend taking my dog to this place. Boarded our Berner for 4 days. He got Kennel cough. When I informed them about him getting it, they apologized and said that they were aware of a dog that had it during our dog's stay. Common sense would have been to notify us and other owners, but instead, they decided to keep it to themselves. Unfortunately our dog gave it to 2 other dogs he routinely plays with. They offered us a 1 day free dropoff. No thanks. I asked about vet bills and they said we signed on the dotted line and the fine print on the back of the form says they are not responsible. The staff at this location is fantastic and our dogs favorite days each week are camp days. The four stars is mostly for facilities. Other daycares and camps in the same $ range have pools and actual yards and room to run--unfortunately those are a bit of a drive for us. If you watch the video for CBW, the dogs are so scrunched together and run into each other more than running around getting exercise. That being said, the interaction with other dogs gets the mental stimulation they need and puppies come home tired. Overall love CampBowWow for daycare. All the staff is super friendly and my pup loves coming here. They have webcams that you can watch your dog and the dogs play all day. No crating during the day which I love. Afterwards I have a completely tired puppy which is amazing! I've also used their boarding service which has overall been a pretty good experience as well. I would say the only reason for 4 stars is the fact that on Sundays they kennel the dogs during the day and have limited hours. Makes it hard to go skiing or do something out of town on a Sunday. Also at night with boarding no one is actually on site, this tends to worry me a little bit. I would 100% recommend for daycare!!!! read more

Kept my dogs in isolation for a week because they said they never did the 15 min doggy interview to ensure they were social dogs. I can't believe the poor business practices Camp Bow Wow Parker has taken on and how they treated my dogs. Let me first start by sayings I have taken my dogs to this place for years. My two beloved older pups went to Camp Bow Wow Parker for over 8 years for overnight and day camp. After their passing we also took our new puppy from the time she was 1 to now (8 years old). When we got her a companion 3 years ago he also visited Camp Bow Wow Parker. Both our fur babies also attend Heritage Pet but they are more expensive - but if I had only known the level of service that comes with Camp Bow Wow's cheaper price. Last weekend we had a reservation for both our dogs that we directly booked over the phone a week prior with "Al" who I believe is the owner. My husband spoke directly to him when booking to which Al said "you are all set". Hours before our flight I went to drop them off and, whom I believe was Al, came out and said "we can't take your dogs". They have not completed the 15 min doggy interview. Al proceeded to say I called your husband and left him a message. Al apparently was notified several weeks earlier by the Director of Camp Bow Wow Centennial saying our dogs needed re-interviewed because our youngest was attacked by another dog causing injury at their location two years prior and didn't want to play after the incident - he simply was not interested in playing with the other dogs from that point (to which we have never returned). I called my husband sitting in front of Camp Bow Wow (hours before our flight) to which he confirmed he received not one phone call, message, email after he spoke to Al who confirmed the reservation the week prior. And even if you did leave a message and you knew you confirmed our reservation, why would you not call me nor email us or even text? They had all our contact info on file. What is even worse (beyond the horrible situation they put us in right before our travels) was our dogs were just there for boarding for a week 4 weeks prior over 4th of July. I specifically asked him when attempting to drop them off this last weekend, you are saying you will not fulfill our reservation because you have to do another 15 min interview to ensure our youngest was still good around other dogs - yet they were with you playing with other dogs 4 weeks prior and we were told "they did great, had awesome time" when we picked them up. Al then proceeded to tell me that they wanted to do the re-interview then too but when we dropped them off that time they didn't want to create any issue so they accepted the dogs and just put them in isolation the entire week. I can't even begin to explain the anger and just utter hurt I felt for our fur babies. We bring our dogs to you to take care of our dogs and ensure they are happy and getting exercise and socializing with other dogs and you isolated them for a week??? And WORSE you said nothing when we dropped them off that you were going to do that and when we picked them up a week later you said nothing of what you did or why and blatantly lied to us telling up they had a good time. How dare you treat my dogs this way. We would have NEVER left them there or ever returned if we had know that was your intention and final action. And if you HAD to do a 15 min re-interview, you had my dogs for a week - why did you not take 15 min when they got there to validate these two are beautiful creatures are social and loveable dogs (to which you already knew because they have had them as visitors many times prior). When I asked why that was not done nor why I nor my husband was told you planned and executed a week of isolation - Al had no response just "sorry". Honestly - this needs reported to the better business bureau this is just disgusting treatment of dogs and customers. We will not be returning and I highly recommend others to pay the extra few bucks for the quality service, communication and animal love you get with Camp Bow Wow Parker's competitor that is literally a couple blocks down the road from them. read more

Alright it's about time I made a review for this fantastic facility! Everything about this Camp Bow Wow is wonderful, they are clean and efficient. The employees here are well-trained on how to handle dog behavior, plays with all the dogs who come in, cares about safety, and are very personable. The front desk staff always greets my dog with a smile and remembers him without having to ask me who he is. Even though he goes there once or twice a month! My dog has never gone home sick or hurt, but definitely tired from playing! When my dog boards overnight for extended stays. They keep up with his feeding and treat list every time too. Also they do go above and beyond, for my work schedule as well. Sometimes the hospital requires me to go in early and they're more than accommodating to work around that. Well, I've got mixed emotions about this place, I've been taking my Wheaton to Camp Bow Wow Parker for over a year and a half. At first I was overly thrilled and ecstatic, then things changed. The regular staff rotated out of the play area's and the new staff just wasn't the same caliber. Just young kids, checking the phones, spraying the dogs excessively with water bottles . Then they started rotating him from one play area to another ( which I know they do from time to time depending on the temperament of the other pooches) but not everytime ? That first encounter with her made me a customer for life. I felt confident that she would always put the needs & safety of the dogs over profit. Her love and knowledge about dogs is reflected in the staff she hires. Specifically, Shannon & Nick. During our dog's first stay she got an upset stomach & Nick was on top of calling us with updates, offering solutions, and making us feel comfortable. Shannon has been fantastic at accommodating our changing and uncertain pick up schedule due to a death in the family that occurred while we were out of town. Gina, showing that her tenderness extends beyond animals, was tearful when expressing her condolences for our loss. We've been taking our kids to school here for several years after our previous Doggy Day Care location closed. They entire staff is wonderful and caring! They understand dogs and were so helpful getting our latest rescue to become comfortable with the new humans he was interacting with. We have boarded our kids here when we travel (for extra playtime) as well as used their Home Buddy Service so they stay in the home - both I would highly recommend. For the reviewer that commented about hearing that dogs get sick - in our experience in 4 years we've never had our kids come home with Kennel Cough. Perhaps you are hearing about another facility in Parker (near E-470). Our 100lbs golden retriever has become a regular at CBW Parker and has been going to day camp (weekly on Wednesday's) and boarding when we are out of town. Over these two years we have come to absolutely love their service, compassion, and utter love for our pet. Being a techy I really appreciate the app and webcams, much of the time I share out the webcam link at work and we all watch the dogs play....you could do that all day if you allowed yourself. Let me sum this up pretty quickly. Pros: - CBW takes great care of the dogs - Many of the workers there are also vet techs at various vets in the area, this brings great piece of mind - Webcams are great (and free), especially when you're on long trips and want to check in - The price is affordable. They just raised their prices slightly, but I find that it is still absolutely a good price. - If there is ever a problem (we had an issue of loose bowels with our guy once while we were out of the country), CBW will immediately get in touch with you. They did a great job of moving him off of his food we provided and switched him to chicken broth,rice, and pumpkin; our pup was back to happy-healthy dog by the time we picked him up. - CBW invests back into the company, about mid last year they tore up all of the turf and replaced. I like this fact. - Our golden is SO tired after day camp, it is amazing. He gets all of his energy out playing all day with other dogs and comes home and snoozes. - They have a few grooming options, we use the bath option sometimes after longer stays to wash the camp off of him (see cons) Cons (there aren't many): - At times our big guy kinda stinks after long stays, but this is ABSOLUTELY to be expected after playing, running, and rolling around with other dogs all day. But they have grooming options, $20 for a bath is absolutely worth it. - This one is a little shameless. CBW has great hours, 6am-7pm and special Sunday hours. I do know that some places have 24hr pick up, traveling as frequently for work I do with later flights, later pick up hours could be nice. read more

I've taken my dog to many daycares since I've had her as a puppy. I like Camp Bow Wow in Parker, but my dog was put in a crate several times during a four hour stay, which was very disappointing. They told me they had a lot of dogs that day and had to rotate them. Their outdoor play area is very small, as well as the indoor section for smaller dogs. The staff is very nice. I love, love, LOVE Camp Bow Wow. We have an energetic Lab puppy, and day camp is her favorite thing in the world. She loves to play with other dogs, and once a week it gets her out of the house and jumping around while we're at work. The staff is friendly, interactive, and seems to genuinely care about all of the dogs. The facilities are very clean, and the dogs get outside playtime, even in the snow (our dog's favorite!) All of the dogs there are screened, and staff is always in with the dogs--everything seems very safe and controlled. They offer grooming services if you need it, you can jump on their website and watch the webcams (it's like a low-res Puppy Bowl), and at the end of the day I have an exhausted, happy dog. read more

We found camp bow wow when we were looking for a place to take care of our German Shepherd while we were out of town. As most pet parents do, we wanted to make sure our big guy was in the best possible care where he would be safe and happy. We found camp and decided to try the free day to see how he liked it. They are wonderful here, the staff is friendly as can be and very patient to any and all questions. They also have cameras everywhere so no matter where you are you can check on your dog. Part of what I absolutely love about camp is the dogs get to play all day. They take one "nap" mid-day but other then that from dawn until dusk they are out running, jumping, playing, being dogs, not cooped up in cages. When we arrived to pick him up they gave us the run down of his day and even though it was new attendant she knew exactly who he was when I showed up and ask for him by name. She told me about who he had played with, what he liked, didn't like, etc. And our dog was happy and exhausted. The real test came the next week, we were going to be out for the whole day so we decided to put him in day camp so he wouldn't be cooped up at home all day. When we arrived and he could smell where he was he practically bolted through the doors. He went in with the woman from the front desk and didn't look back. And again upon picking him up I got the full report as well as a happy and tired doggie. Finally, when I was on their website today to book another camp session for him, (a nice convenience), I noticed that they actually have foster dogs at their facility that are adoptable. What a wonderful thing to do! I was so touched that they would do that and I will look here if we ever get another dog in the future. The only reason it is not a 5 star in my opinion is because they shut down for half the day on Sundays, (maybe Saturdays too, I've only tried Sundays). This means your dog can be there from dawn until dusk, however half the day they spend in their "cabin" penned up. I mainly like to use this as a daycare for weekend days when I'm out and about and don't want my dog stuck at home. So it's too bad he cant' get the full experience those days. read more

This was the first time putting our four legged baby in boarding. We were nervous, but that was wiped away quick. The first time you take your pet, they actually do an interview to make sure they are the right fit for the pup. Everything is explained during that first visit. Once we dropped him off, we were able to look at him from a live web cam. The only time you can't see them is during cabin time. So night and during daytime naps. Our little guy was bathed and manicured before we picked him up. All staff members were amazing. Welcomed us, remembered us, and filled us in on our pups time there. The price was great! We've boarded our dogs at Bow Wow Parker for the last 2 years. They are not bad, but we won't be bringing the dogs there anymore. One of our dogs is a notoriously difficult eater. He has a short attention span and won't eat unless you stay on him. Sometimes, he also just doesn't want the dry food. I always remind the staff that they need to stay with him to make sure he eats, as well as what commands to say to get him to eat. They always say yes but when i call to see if he ate, they say no and that maybe he'll get hungry and eat during the next feeding. I ask them if they did some of the tricks I mentioned and sometimes they say no. The last extended vacation we took and left our dogs there, he came back 4 pounds lighter. He is already pretty lean due to his high energy. I know they have alot of dogs to take care of, but I just don't feel they bother if extra steps need to be taken. Also, when i watch them during play time on the web cam, the care giver just kind of stands there and doesn't much interact with the dogs. read more

Have to agree with others that for Parker, this is the place to go for pet boarding. I used to take mine to the Castle Rock one, then this one opened and I started going there. It is very clean in the lobby area, and I was given a tour, with my dog, of the facility, of which I was very pleased with it. This is definitely one place I miss from Parker. I love it how I was able to watch him on camera, yes I'm one of those parents. Though I was very worried about him when I left him for a 7 day vacation because he has a tendency to not eat when I'm not with him. But according to the staff, he did eat a few days, so I was happy about that. And he, from what it looked like on camera, was playing with other dogs and having a great time.
