I bought a 9-10 week-old bunny here on August 12, which was my birthday. What should have been a joyful milestone turned into a nightmare due to gross negligence and deception from the staff and owner, Sherri.
He was the very last bunny left, kept in a small tank-like enclosure housed directly with guinea pigs, a major red flag I now know is wrong. The employee who sold him had a gruff voice, held him tight against her chest to completely conceal his head, and gave strict rules not to touch him for 48 hours.
When I finally got a real look on the second night, I discovered a massive, crusted lesion stretching from the middle of his head to the base of his ear a severe pre-existing condition hidden at purchase.
When I called the morning after, that same employee got defensive, insisted it was just a "bite mark,", pretending to transfer me to management. During the next call, she never disclosed who she was before snapping, "I told you it was a bite mark!" When I finally reached the owner, Sherri, they refused to cover an independent vet exam, tried to force me into their sketchy in-house clinic, and blackmailed me by refusing to pay for diagnostic exams. Sherri condescendingly called me "sweetie" and talked down to me just because I am 18 and didn't have hundreds of dollars for an emergency exotic vet on the spot.
Sherri tried to claim I was in the wrong and told her to check the CCTV. When she checked it, she tried to claim, "I see her showing you something right there." I told her straight that the employee showed me nothing, and Sherry went silent for minutes. Whenever you back them into a corner, they go silent because they know they are wrong.
By day five, my sweet boy started failing. He was the most affectionate, wonderful little bunny he loved burrowing behind my back, getting pets on his eyebrows, climbing my pants legs, perching on my window ledge, and falling asleep in my lap.
But on the afternoon of day five, his legs stopped working properly, his head hit the crate while eating, and he began fading fast. After running into dead ends with unresponsive emergency vets, I messaged Sherri for urgent help and called another vet 30 miles away, but he passed away, his back legs looked as if they weren't working anymore he was scrambling and frantic to low to the ground bumping into the wall and scared. I've been emailing with a rescue vice president who helped me realize this was entirely the store's fault.
Sherri only messaged me at midnight saying I could bring him to HER to check out. The next morning, she emailed basically frantically asking how he was doing because she knew she messed up.
Because he passed at night, my family had to carry his lifeless body to the store the next morning in a bucket, wrapped in the little blanket my younger brother used as a newborn that he loved and it was my bunnies favorite blanket too.
When we walked in, the employee who sold him sat at her computer showing zero remorse or apology.
When Sherri came out, she gave vile excuses, first blaming the stress of a new environment, and then cowardly trying to claim we must have dropped him on the way to the store. After getting my refund receipt, Sherri walked right up into my face, invading my space to talk down to me. She refused to provide an autopsy report. I told her word for word, "Since you're not providing an autopsy report, do not ever contact me again."
The very next day, Sherri called me anyway, claiming the lesion was superficial and not the cause of death. Are we serious now?

Weren't you hounding me that it was just a bite? When I asked why she was calling after I told her never to contact me, she said she was "trying to be nice." How can you have such a complete lack of shame?
This place operates on retail malpractice, cruelty, and deception. Look past the surface, because their negative reviews are deeply buried. Run away from this store as fast as you can.
