I had 5 dogs and fostered 1 more for a family member and I am very picky when it comes to the care of my pack and Pleasant Valley ticked every box. The vets are amazing and actually care about the animals in their care. The facility is beautiful and isn't too far away. It is about a 20 min drive and I live right where Musikfest takes place in historic Bethlehem. I like that whenever they can they will give you different options for treatment so you can take care of your pet without breaking the bank and the prices are much better than you would expect when going to a reputable vet. I can not say enough about how wonderful they are. If you want the best for your pet I would highly recommend giving PVAH a try. You won't be disappointed!

I called two months prior to board my dog for the thanksgiving holiday so we can travel to family…read moreout of state. I was asked to provide my vets number which I did and I was asked to direct my vet to give cloud 9 my dogs vaccine records. Cloud 9 pulled the records 4 days before thanksgiving and I was told that he was missing the influenza vaccine (out of the 6 that are required) which is series of 2 shots over a 2 weeks so now we can't board the dog. If they would have pulled the records when I called then I would have plenty of time get this done but their unprofessionalism left no time for this. For the price they charge I would have expected more. They offered no help in resolving this and just pretty much a "you're on your own" and "this is all your fault". I would recommend looking elsewhere for your boarding services as if something goes wrong they don't seem like they care enough to help out.

After reading all the amazing reviews I thought to myself, we found the place and my dog Dre is going to look nice and dapper for the arrival of his sister in a few weeks. My wife had booked a cut and bath but when she arrived she was told that Dre was only booked for a bath and the groomer reluctantly agreed to the cut. She requested to shave him down extremely short to which the groomer protested and said she would shave him as short as she could. He came running up to me as soon as he got home, he smelled great, looked nice and clean but his hair was not shaved down very much. I immediately asked my wife why they hadn't shaved him down to which she informed me that this was the "shave". Given the circumstances surrounding this event I can only conclude that the groomer didn't want to shave him down further because whoever had put the appointment down hadn't blocked out a sufficient amount of time for the services we requested. I essentially have paid for a cut and bath for a dog who still needs a cut. I am left very disappointed. I trusted them with a member of my family to which they only decided to partially take care of. Update: Before the end of the night my wife was contacted by the owner who was very apologetic and wanted to rectify the situation. My wife took our pup back this morning and everything is great. Mistakes are inevitable, but what defines the character of a company is how things are taken care of afterwards. LOPCI did a great job fixing everything.

We have now boarded our little pooch three times over the summer, and have had nothing but a positive experience each time. The kennels reside on the owners property, of which he has something like 40+ acres. Not sure how many kennels there were per se, but he has a number of them. Each dog gets their own indoor/outdoor kennel and there are large fans blowing inside to help keep the dogs cooler during hot days. You are welcome to bring a blanket or favorite toy from home if you'd like. They provide food, but again, you can bring your own if you prefer. For additional fees, you can elect your dog to go on a nature walk and/or have playtime with other dogs. He also offers grooming at a reasonable rate as well. Very happy that my parents found this place and told me about it. This is my goto place for boarding now. The owner is clearly an animal lover and has three German Shepherds of his own. Prices are fair. Give this place a try if you are in need of finding a boarding facility for your dog.
