Andrew had the octopus dish and I did the bisteco with a hard fried egg on top. Not pictured was the delicious shrimp Mozambique for the appetizer. Real talk, if you're up north and want some good home cooked Potuguese dishes, hit up Restaurante Serra Da Estrela and see Paulinha Figueiredo Neves. Her mom and husband also hold it down with her in the kitchen and behind the bar. Her father is watching from heaven and he's so proud she's keeping the legacy going. Love you P, thanks for always treating us like royalty and filling our bellies with the most drag foods from your family recipes. Need another reason to visit? Hey Rhody magazine featured them as one of the best places for ethnic foods in the state

Entrance will put you right into the dining room which was setup for dinner service I assume. But the dining room was empty, so I strolled past the the dining room towards the rear which was their small lounge area. I was then greeted by the chef/owner and I asked If lunch was being served since it was 12:15 He answered yes and asked if I wanted to sit in the dining room. I really didn't want to disturb the settings for just myself so I opted to sit at a high top in the lounge. So I was offered 2 specials which consisted of a sirloin steak or a fish filet. I opted for the steak and I asked for a menu also Just to see the offerings (I posted them) So talking to the customers at another table they were very nice to offer dining recommendations on future visits. They're regulars as 1 might have guessed. My steak was pan seared and topped with a garlic sauce and a fried egg along with rice and fresh fried potatoes. Steak was cooked to medium as I requested It was a 6 to 8oz portion tender for the most part and I found the garlic sauce a bit salty. May try to come back to check out their buffet on weekends. Although I asked the regulars on the buffet situation and he referred me to another place for some reason.

How did I not know about Cantinho before? Just 5 minutes from my home, this is going on my short…read morelist when I'm looking for reasonably priced delicious Cape Azorean food in a lovely setting. The restaurant was immaculate & our server was friendly & efficient, although she didn't speak much English so couldn't answer some questions I had. Upon seating, we were immediately brought a basket of warm bread & butter. I ordered a glass of Sutter Home Pinot Grigio ($6) but found out when the bill arrived that I had been served a Josh Pinot Grigio ($10). I much prefer Josh so no problem there. We also asked for water... make sure you ask for tap water, otherwise you will be brought glasses of ice and bottled water ($2.50). My dining companion ordered the Shrimp Mozambique with white rice & mixed veggies ($24), which she found spicy & delicious. The shrimp were huge! I ordered the grilled Cornish hen with mashed potatoes & salad ($18). The potatoes were a little salty for my taste, but the salad was crisp, cold and beautifully presented with a flavorful Italian dressing on the side. The Cornish hen was perfectly cooked with a mild red sauce; unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out what it was, but it was so good. There is a tiny parking lot on one side of the building, as well as street parking. I'll definitely be back.

Lately renovated, it looks so beautiful, with outdoor seating and a rooftop bar (though i haven't seen the roof open for business yet). Went for dinner with hubby on Saturday night around 6:30; was not busy and was sat right away without reservations. Food was great; only issues were that an item in menu we wanted wasn't available but still listed on menu. Also service was very slow; our waitress was also working the bar and kept forgetting us. I had to flag down other waitresses and also walk to bar to ask for our bill/pay. If it wasn't for this i would have given them more stars. I will still go back, hopefully service gets better but i'm kin of used it in the CV community
