Cameron Jones is a tech genius who has helped me solve many computer issues over the years. He is patient at explaining things so that I understand what went wrong and how he fixed it. Cameron also offers helpful videos on how not to be victimized by scams. Further, when Best Buy unboxed my new Smart TV, plugged it in, and left me to set it up, I tried my best, but it wasnt good enough. So I called on Cameron, who got the TV working to my satisfaction, figuring out how I could get the channels I wanted to watch, especially the Washington Nationals ball games. Further, he took the Amazon Firestick that was no longer needed on the new TV and used it to turn my 20-year-old dumb TV in the basement into a Smart TV. Awesome! read more

I hired Cameron to help me select a new CPU and printer. I admit I am not v tech savvy, but I had received good advice from other consultants I had used in other areas of the country. Based on Cameron's reviews, I assumed he would provide the same. Not. The CPU I purchased based on his recommendation was only equipped with 2.4 ghz not 5 as well. It was only after I had been working with it a week or so that I realized this. I did not even think they made CPUs without the option for 5 ghz any longer. When I said something to Cameron, it seemed that the limitations of my CPU were news to him. Evidently he did not do much research before recommending it to me. As for the printer, similar situation. I knew the features I was used to on my previous printer but did not realize it was necessary to spell them out for him when my old printer was sitting there for him to examine, and Cameron did not inquire about what features I wanted before recommending a printer. Based upon his advice, I have a Brother printer which is a real piece of junk with no auto duplex printing or scanning. Again, Cameron did not ask what I liked about my previous printer before he made the recommendation. Now I am in the market for a new printer...and a new consultant. Cameron has this air of superiority which is bewildering because based upon my experience he does not have the knowledge to come close to warranting it. If you can overlook that annoyance and you are fairly knowledgeable of computers, perhaps he is the guy for you. Otherwise, my advice is to steer clear. read more

Cameron is competent, fast and and trustworthy. Recently I tried to upgrade a PC from Windows 10 to 11 even thought it technically didn't meet the hardware specs. Cameron has come to my house twice over the last few years, once in which he solved my printer problems and once in which he showed me how to easily digitalize DVDs of home videos without having to buy special software. He videotaped the process on my phone so that I didn't have to memorize or write down each step. Each time he came, he also answered questions on both hardware and software, and ultimately saved me money by removing unnecessary antivirus software. He worked efficiently and his rates were very reasonable. He has subsequently helped me remotely with little or no charge. I've been having Cameron Jones help me with my computer and IT needs for over 20 years and I've never been disappointed.
