Dr. Fort is friendly, down to earth, warm and welcoming to new and established patients alike. He is invested in your health and cares deeply about his patients. I began seeing Dr. Fort 14 years ago while he was still a student at Life Chiropractic College West. Over the years, he has effectively and successfully treated my wrist, neck, shoulder, and back pain for repetitive strains and sports-related injuries - as well as providing general "tune-ups" - through manual adjustments, Active Release Therapy (ART), The Activator Method, and Functional Movement Taping. In 2015 Dr. Fort treated my shoulder after I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve, acute bursitis, and rotator cuff tendonitis. When I walked into his office the extreme pain radiated down my arm, my fingers were numb, and I was unable to lift my arm much past my waistline. After a few manual adjustments and some ART, I saw great improvements in the reduction of pain and regained full extension of my arm in just one visit. Most recently, I came back to Dr. Fort after having shoulder surgery for an impingement, bone spurring and the removal of the long head of my bicep tendon. Over the course of five visits, Dr. Fort used Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) to release tension in my surrounding muscles and break up the scar tissue that had formed around my incisions. After using Function Movement Taping to provide lasting support, he showed me how and where to apply rock tape to myself. In conjunction with post-op physical therapy, through his treatment, I was able to regain 90% of my range of motion within 6 weeks. Dr. Fort is a professional, passionate problem solver with an expert understanding of the bodies' anatomy and how it works kinetically. He is thorough in his assessment, often times finding trigger points and issues that I didn't realize were contributing to my pain or my decreased range of motion. Furthermore, during his treatment, Dr. Fort takes the time to explain what he's doing, how it relates to my issue and how I will benefit from it during my healing process. When prescribing follow-up appointments his recommendations are well-founded. He is not the type to pressure you into weekly/ongoing office visits; instead, he recommends follow-up scheduling based upon your improvements and how you are feeling. With his multidisciplinary approach to holistic healthcare, I'm confident Dr. Fort will help relieve your pain. read more

Dr. Fort has been taking care of my neck and back issues for many years. He is absolutely the best chiropractor I have ever been to! His technique of using deep tissue pressure with movement (A.R.T.), brings me into alignment better than the usual "crack" type adjusting alone. it is a pleasure to see him in his clean and convenient office that has great parking, too. read more

What can I say about Dr. Forte, other than after years of suffering with Planter fasciitis and this new thing I woke up with last December called Metatarsalgia, Dr Forte HELPED me in two sessions. I stopped limping, I am able to wear cute shoes here and there, I am able to stand in the kitchen to cook without having to take breaks. Thank you Dr Forte you are awesome! Your thumbs, although painful, but worth it. Breath through the pain and then heal. I look forward to seeing him once a week to get that lactic acid flowing again. read more

I've been suffering from chronic back pain for over 13 years now and have seen physical therapists, done yoga, acupuncture and chiropractors with different emphases. I was introduced to Dr. Cameron fairly recently and was blown away by his precision with targeting the specific areas requiring serious help. His practice focuses on using ART treatment (which may not be for everyone), and really does get deep down into the tissue of your muscles to target the origin of pain. And what's better is that he genuinely wants to see his clients get better or get back to where they used to be. While his intentions are not after the money, it's refreshing to have a health care professional who *loves* what he does, wants to help you and gives you recommendations on things to do on your own for prevention of further issues. His calm and professional demeanor are anything but stale. He cracks jokes and keeps you at ease during your appointments. Though I live in SF, I would endure the rush hour traffic just to see him in San Carlos. This man is a serious breath of fresh air that's been missing and I cannot recommend him enough to athletes or those who've been suffering from some type of injury or pain. read more

Cameron Fort was recommended to me by Mike Salemi, a professional kettle bell competitor and my boyfriend Jonathan Suarez, a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist. They have known Cameron for around 10 years. I was suffering from foot, groin, low back, mid back & neck pain. The variables of the cause were endless given that I am a personal trainer, I have received chiropractic adjustments that didn't sit well with me and I've had a baby 3 years ago which during the course of pregnancy, I was working in an ergonomically unfriendly environment. There was pain in my mid back and left foot as soon as I got out of bed. There was pain in my low back if I jogged uphill/downhill, twisted while bending or pushed any object while bending. There was pain in my neck if I rested my bodyweight on my forearms (this came from a 14 year old car accident causing whiplash). And finally groin pain that mostly came from sitting or standing for long periods of time, stemmed from a back work environment during pregnancy. As a personal trainer, having to demo exercises everyday all day, I thought I was screwed! Cameron wanted to know ALL of my injuries, how they came about and how I noticed them being triggered without rushing me. I was pleasantly surprised as most care providers rush me through to get to their next patient. I learned that FDM (Fascial Distortion Model), the technique he used on me, is relied upon by watching body language- therefore listening to my words and body language, he was able to figure out what was going on and the course of treatment he would use. I saw him 7 months ago. My mid back, low back & foot pain have not returned. My neck pain got aggravated after 6 months, by a little "not so smart" maneuver I did, which he was able to resolve in 20 minutes. My groin pain is much better, though we had to put it on the back burner, given it is a work related injury and Cameron doesn't do workman's comp- "Good to know"! However there was a part of me that was happy that I didn't mention that up front. I have seen three other chiropractors for this injury and he is the only one that has helped. He is amazing. I have recommended him and will continue to recommend him. Cameron will suggest exercises to help support your injuries. It is good to be proactive and be aware of good pain verses bad pain. Active Release Technique and Fascial Distortion Model can both be painful- though in my case, I was proud of myself & in the end that I was able to bite down and endure. My body thanks me daily...and Cameron of course! read more

I am so grateful that a friend (and also my physical therapist) told me about Cameron. He is incredible. The man knows his muscles as well as any highly trained physical therapist or massage therapist. I am very picky and he blows me away. I went to him because I developed Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder), probably due to my thyroid condition. I had tried physical therapy for a few months, but that seemed to only make things worse. I had also tried shiatsu massage, but it didn't seem to make much difference, either. I was totally miserable and in a lot of pain. I will tell you that ART is not for sissies. It will hurt. (Women, remember your Lamaze breathing!). The worst may be the first two sessions. After that, things usually start feeling better. Still painful, but not incredibly so. And it's always great to actually see real progress being made!! Cameron is always mindful of your comfort and pain tolerance. He always asks me if I'm OK and if we need to stop for a few moments or whatever. He is extremely courteous and professional. When I first saw Cameron for my frozen shoulder, I would say that I only had about 50% mobility in my shoulder and arm. Now, after 6 treatments (one treatment per week because I tend to heal slowly), I have almost 100% mobility restored. It is nothing short of miraculous. The only alternative to this would have been an outpatient procedure where the MD knocks you out, breaks up the adhesions, then wakes you up. I thought that would be way too hard on my body and preferred to do this with ART over a number of weeks instead. I am so glad that I chose it. I mean, you always have the option of going to the hospital, but why do that if you don't have to? I highly recommend Cameron Fort to anyone who is looking for a resolution to their pain problems. He is probably one of the most skilled practitioners I have ever seen, and believe me (with my back problems) I have seen A LOT of practitioners! I will definitely see him again if another problem develops in my body. read more

I've been Dr. Fort's patient for about 3 years now. At this point, it's probably easier to pinpoint the body parts that he hasn't worked on. I first came to him with several nagging issues from shoulder and knee mobility to lower back and shoulder pain I've incurred over the years from martial arts training. Through chiropractic adjustments and ART, he's been able to resolve those issues. This guy genuinely cares about making his patients feel better and provides topnotch care, while always with a cheerful demeanor and a smile. Dr. Fort also treated me for a frozen shoulder injury from a minor car accident. What struck me was that instead of fussing over insurance forms before he would begin treating me, his primary concern was getting my shoulder mobility and function back. We eventually did get around to completing the paperwork, and my insurance did cover all the bills for that particular injury. What I will always remember is the level of concern for my well-being he showed at that time, and how he constantly monitored my progress until my injury was a thing of the past. I continue to see the guy for maintenance work (a good tug and pop and crack every now and then is great, particularly since I still train in martial arts), from the inevitable minor aches and pains that come up to more recent bouts with knee and foot injuries. And I've continued to receive excellent care with each visit. Highly recommended. read more

Feeling great! There is nothing better to get adjusted with the best chiropractor. I'm so lucky to have you Cam in my corner! Xoxo

Dr. Fort performed FDM on my ankle within the half hour after I tripped and sprained it. Using this brand new technique, Dr. Fort was able to speed up my healing process and I made a light speed recovery after only one session. If I had not seen Dr. Fort, I would probably still be limping. During a follow up session, Dr. Fort performed the same FDM process on the tender spots. I was able to walk normally one week after my misstep....which is truly amazing! FDM hurts like hell, but is totally worth it! THANK YOU! read more

Dr. Fort's manual soft tissue techniques are the best available. He is a great listener and communicator. His aim is to get you better, whether it means continuing care with him or another doctor. If you're looking for a soft tissue specialist I'd strongly recommend him. read more

Dr. Fort really knows what he's doing. I had a sprained hip from excessive exercise and thought I wouldn't be able to run normally again but he was able to work out the tension in my tendons and ligaments there. I also randomly kinked my neck and in one session he was able to work out the tension. He's very welcoming and really easy to talk to. I highly recommend him and will continue seeing him for my random obscure injuries. read more

I've been going to chiropractors for several years. I appreciate the level of care that they give and can attest to it's value. Dr. Cameron adds an element that not many Chiropractors practice which is ART. He is a very nice guy, and very skilled at his work. I highly recommend him to you for any sort of injury or pain you may be having - he is not limited to just working on your back. read more

I went skiing for the first time and ended up spraining my ankle. Luckily nothing was broken however I was still very swollen and quite uncomfortable. I walked into Dr. Cameron's office with crutches and walked out without them. I've suffered from sprains most of my life and I have never felt this good just 3 days after my accident. I'm not gonna lie the treatment itself was painful but absolutely worth it. I love how Dr. Cameron explains everything to you. I would absolutely recommend him. read more

Cameron is truly a master at his craft. I can't say enough about him. I have had severe plantar fasciitis, by severe I mean I could NOT walk with out shoes on EVER. I had to wear dansko shoes or inserts ALL the time and even had to buy the orthotic slippers. Running was no longer an option and walking for exercise was pretty much out. I tried EVERYTHING ultra sound shock wave treatments, acupuncture, stretching, ice, golf ball rolling, special sock thing, boot for sleeping... you name it. Cameron through his magic touch (there is a real name for his technique but I can't remember it) was able to get it done in 4-5 sessions. I won't lie his technique was EXTREMELY PAINFUL and luckily he didn't mind the string of obscenities I would scream before, during and after. I would just tell myself it's quicker than childbirth, only a few minutes of pain and then I would feel so much better. I think I worked on this issue for 6-8 months before coming to Cameron and in probably a month or two he had it worked out to a point where I could actually jog a bit!! I am happy to say that now I'm running, on cement, 2-3/ week (not fast or crazy) but I can do it and have NO pain. It has been MONTHS (like 6 or so) and I feel like I'm pretty much back to normal. I can walk around my house without shoes AND I can wear some of my old sandals again YAY!! I LOVE CAMERON!!! You will too...... I promise. I have sent many friends to him and never had a complaint. He is the man, a god of sorts... you won't be sorry. read more

If you are looking for someone to fix you, go to Cameron. I took a serious fall from a horse and fractured T-1. All the ligaments and muscle tissue surrounding that area were in bad shape. Somedays were so bad I couldn't move my neck to look over my shoulder. Everytime I left his office I continued to have more and more mobility and now I go see him for all my other horse riding related aches and pains (as well as for an adjustment if needed!). He doesn't waste a minute of your time with him. So if you want someone who "gives you your money's worth" that's him. He really wants to help you and he knows what he's talking about. read more

Dr. Fort has been my A.R.T specialist for about10 years. I met him when we each had our offices in the same building. My first experience with A.R.T was when I was diagnosed with plantars fasciitis, and a very grim prognosis. Cameron saw me 5 times and the horrible condition was GONE 100%! I can't even tell you now many times he has helped my back, hips, knees neck, shoulders....you get the picture! I send every one to him and everyone is happy! Cameron Fort is without a doubt, the very best at what he does!!! read more

I almost (selfishly) don't want to review Dr. Fort because I don't want it to get too hard to make an appointment, but if my review can help others find relief for their chronic pain then it will be well worth it! I had been having debilitating tension headaches for a couple months, had gone to see my physician who had prescribed muscle relaxants and some gentle stretches that were not really helping. A friend suggested I give Dr. Fort a try and - simply amazing. Not gonna lie - his deep tissue work was crazy painful, but I kid you not, my headaches went away. Turns out he figured out my headaches were being caused by neck and shoulder muscle strain and he worked it out. So worth every single dime. read more

As a competitive Powerlifter, Olympic Weightlifter and now Kettlebell Sport athlete, my body has endured all kinds of stress over the years. Just as important as the physical training I do, is how I integrate quality recovery methods. With that said, I feel very grateful to have found Dr. Fort about 5 years ago and consider him an invaluable part of my overall training protocol. His first class experience coupled with a quest for knowledge makes him a phenomenal practitioner. Dr. Fort's unique use of ART produces immediate benefits that have allowed me to push my training to new heights safely. I see Dr. Fort not only as a great fit for athletes, but also for anyone in pain- even my 78-year-old grandmother with severe arthritis sees him. To sum it all up, Dr. Fort is excellent at what he does and genuinely cares about the people he sees. read more

I'm 51 and have had back/neck issues since my early 20's. I have seen multitudes of chiropractors, osteopaths...you name it, I've seen them. No one (and I mean no one) has been as good as Dr. Fort. He intrinsically understands the human body, has the intelligence and education to follow through on the most effective treatment, has the compassion and empathy to read your pain and know where to address the treatments. True healers must have the right combination of all those attributes. I am most definitely a cynic and know all the signs of those that cannot do their job as a health provider. On the spectrum of quack to 'the best, Dr. Fort is by far 'THE BEST". read more

Cameron is outstanding! I would not be able to continue playing sports without him, and my everyday quality of life (i.e. pain relief) is so much better when I see him. His caring personality and willingness to do what ever it takes to make you better sets him apart from others. He will not string you along with visit after visit. This is because he gets you better FAST and he is not in it to squeeze every penny out of his patients. His chiropractic skills are enhanced by his extensive ART training. In addition, he has the Zerona laser that reduces body fat and it's not just for women. read more

I have know Cameron Fort and used his services for many years. I have tried others but Cameron's use of Active Release Technique combined with chiropractic certainly works best for me. As a senior with some pretty severe back problems. I trust him and he understands my particular set of problems. To boot, he is upbeat, experienced, professional and caring and current on the literature in his field. He has recently added a Zerona cold laser machine to his office for spot treating fat deposits and I was impressed with this too. His rates for Zerona are moderate as well. read more

My friend and I are ultrarunners...we often see Cameron just before our big races, and he uses Active Release Technique to work on spots that are bothering us. He saved the day for us again! We just returned from a 100 mile trail race that took around 30hours, we both had great finishes and the body parts he worked on gave us no trouble at all. He has a lovely, honest manner, he's really interested in your sport and he has a great way of explaining exactly what he's doing. It's great to be able to go and talk to him about little issues that come up before they become chronic injuries too. read more

Cameron's ability to quickly resolve a wide variety of athletically-induced injuries never ceases to impress. The latest addition to his arsenal is FDM -- "Fascial Distortion Model" and it worked wonders for a couple of different issues that no amount of cortisone could knock out. If you train hard enough or manage to live past your late twenties, and certainly if you do both of those things simultaneously, tweaks, pulls, sprains, tears, and more serious injuries are almost inevitable. Since the fine folks at Homegrown Crossfit referred me to Cameron a few years ago, I've relied on him to eliminate a host of physical barriers as they have arisen. The knowledge, skills, professionalism, and enthusiasm that he brings to the table have made a huge difference in my ability to remain an athlete. read more
