He was very responsive, always emailing back within 24 hours or less. On the day of the event, the crew was fantastic. Very pleasant and easy to get along with, and extremely helpful. We ordered the basic buffet service and they went above and beyond, offering to bus tables in the back of the house where we had separate beverages and appetizers, and even making a 40 min round trip to get a new tap when our keg wouldn't work. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the lobster bake and land lover's grill. Everyone who attended loved it and many went back for seconds. I don't plan on getting married twice but if I do Coastal Critters is catering again! ;)

Nice live music. 0KM is part of Primo, but I felt the experience was pretty special, and tasty, and deserved its own review! I had actually been wanting to get here all summer, so I was in the midcoast area today and decided to pop over. You have to wait in line and get your order in, so grab your table and have someone get in line, fairly long wait! We had oysters, Yum, Arancini, mussels, beef, sliders, and a maple frosted donut! Relaxing environment, outside, listening to some tunes and getting some nice small plates! And I looked up 0KM, according to Google, it is a term used to represent the concept of proximity or minimal distance between production and consumption, I get it, food from the farm and the table brought right to you! Check the hours, I think it's Sunday and Thursday!

If you want to make sure your wedding actually happens, no matter what, have it here! We got…read moremarried at The 1812 Farm the day of Hurricane Lee; we truly believe this would not have been possible without Sarah and her team. When no hotels, air bnb's, or family had power or running water, the 1812 Farm had a backup generator that allowed our wedding to go on as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening outside. We know from our other vendors that not many other couples having their wedding that day could say that. The 1812 Farm saved our wedding, made it more amazing than we could've ever dreamed, and you should absolutely let them do the same for you. Sarah was in touch with us constantly the week before our wedding, updating us on the weather and preparing us for the inevitable moving of our outdoor ceremony from Pemaquid Point to inside the barn. Her attentiveness allowed us to make this switch days in advance to ensure that we could get returns on our deposits and inform guests of the change with enough notice. She was also extremely helpful and flexible in guiding us through how we would have to adjust the barn in real time from a ceremony setup to a reception one. This transition was so flawless that we doubt anyone even noticed and to this day are still not sure how they did it. The 1812 Farm ensured that the bridal party was able to get ready in a space that had both electricity and running water!! Both our hair and make-up vendors were receiving live horror stories via text about weddings having to move locations at the last minute or do their hair and make-up in the dark. The 1812 Farm even had a shower that we could use since none of the hotels had power - We're telling you, this venue is prepared for ANYTHING. The staff was also beyond incredible at helping us adjust to the last minute changes. To be frank, there were many last-minute details we failed to coordinate because of the last minute change and general stress of the weather. Sarah and her team were so thoughtful in asking questions about these items and when I just looked panicked, graciously stepped in to say they would take care of making everything perfect. They did. Many of our guests told us they would have had no idea the ceremony wasn't meant to take place in the barn and commented on how seamless everything looked and felt throughout. If all this hasn't fully sold you yet, we must emphasize the food. Our wedding was three months ago and still all of our friends and family are talking about the food. Remember, this is a wedding that took place during a HURRICANE... and yet the crab cakes are still the main topic of conversation. We knew when we first started planning our wedding that we wanted the food and drink menu to be really fantastic and to reflect midcoast Maine. Sarah spent a lot of time going over all the different food options and helped us narrow down the right choices for our wedding. Her experience also really helped us to balance our tastes with the necessities needed to make all our guests happy. The Stone Cove Catering menu is honestly a dream and everything on it sounds incredible, but our recommendation would be to try and incorporate the crab cakes and swordfish skewers in some way. We also opted for a lobster bake rehearsal dinner the night before which was not only delicious, but also such a fun and unique experience for our friends and family. Lastly we will note that we looked at a lot of venues around midcoast Maine for our wedding and The 1812 Farm was unquestionably the perfect choice. The barn and surrounding landscape are beautiful and the place is incredibly maintained; Sarah is so knowledgeable and really seems to care about every wedding on the property; and they are so organized and prepared for any wedding scenario you could imagine.

Les greeted us and took the time to show us to our room on the third floor telling us all about the history of the property on the way. Someone complained in another review that there are stairs up to the third floor. It is true. They are wooden, steep, and full of character. The floors are original and slope and creak as expected, but are beautifully painted and well kept. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was perfect, looking like it was remodeled yesterday. Since we realized there was not going to be a lot of dining choices, we stopped at a grocery on our way in for a light picnic dinner of cheese, crackers, fruit and a bottle of wine to enjoy by the water. It was a perfect evening to watch the sunset on one of the two waterfront areas on the property. It was only my husband and me. We could see another couple sitting on the rocks, but it still felt so private and it truly felt like something out of a romantic movie. The next morning we enjoyed the best blueberry muffins provided by the host and coffee on the front porch of the inn. As we sat looking down toward the water both a deer and a red fox came through the yard as a humming flew around the beautiful flowers. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I almost want to keep this gem a secret!

Three of us tried to go to The Quarry tavern at 6:30 pm on Wednesday in June for dinner. Walked in and the place was fairly full but there was a couple stools open at the bar and a 4 person table and a 2 person table. First thing we noticed was it seemed very stuffy in there. A very frazzled young lady met us and promptly announced she couldn't seat anymore people at this time. Apparently she must have been a one person show because we didn't see any other wait staff or a bartender. I feel like it was meant to be because we walked a few blocks away to the Happy Clam and had a great dinner!
