Not cheap but not exorbitant and the minimal wine list is carefully chosen and remarkably affordable. Our menu was a bright summer salad, buttery soft chateaubriand, and cheesecake. The modestly sized plates were licked clean but, personally, I would have liked slightly larger salad or app. If they have their housemade Limoncello, order it! The owners are magnificent hosts. We were made to feel right at home in the restored historic (1700's era) farmhouse, with its common rooms for reading, visiting, dining, and relaxing downstairs, as well as its five beautifully decorated guest bedrooms upstairs. Shari is an outstanding cook, serving hearty, nutritious, artfully presented breakfasts every morning. She incorporates fresh eggs from her flock of lively hens whose happy clucking can be heard throughout the day. We look forward to our next trip when we can once again savor the scrumptious frittatas, homemade blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, and delicious fruit cups at the dining room's table that looks over the sloping backyard fields and the ocean beyond. The lobsters are reasonably priced, and perhaps most of the food on the menu except the lobster roll (it's pricey). Triple soft-shell lobster with 2 sides was $39.99. You wouldn't find that anywhere in this area. Not unless you buy lobsters at Hannafords and have them steam it with current pricing this season at ($8.99) per pound. And you can't beat the buck-a-shuck oysters on Friday and Saturday, and they have really good clam chowder. This is the only place in Boothbay I look forward to going every summer.

You're well advised to call and order ahead for popular times (weekend dinner time in the summer), but otherwise you can just drop by and order to takeout or eat in their small but comfortable bar area, where they sometimes have live music during the summertime. My family likes the pulled pork and beef tacos, I like the shrimp, salmon and Baja fish tacos, always with fresh pico de gallo and other toppings. My vegetarian wife has enjoyed the squash tacos. Recently I discovered the absolutely delicious haddock torta--they also have a brisket torta.
