Skip the pizza. Go for the sufganiyot (jelly donuts) or other filled donuts or pastries. Breads are good too. Easy and quick with good prices.

It's a really cute bakery, with lots of yummy food. The service is great! Food came out fast and was delicious. Overall a great experience. Will be coming back. Highly recommend.

Great bakery. Just had probably the best donut I've ever eaten. There not the American type (i.e Krispy Cream) but traditional English donut. It's not very Artisan/trendy type of place but the food is excellent. Looking at everything else on offer it all looked good from the soup to sweets to sandwiches. Great place.

Oh no my beloved bakery has turned into a cafe and grill. Gone is the long counter of bread and cakes and no more freshly sliced loaves - they don't slice it for you anymore, or the lovely friendly, welcoming staff. Service is slow with one person serving when there used to be 3 or 4. The staff have all been sent "on the ground" to serve seated customers. I only want a freshly baked loaf of sliced bread as before. Not impressed with the disappearance of my local lovely Little Baker now renamed Camden Bakery and Grill, with a rather garishly painted shop sign on the front and a blackboard notice with the words "We're back!". Unfortunately, the Little Baker is not back for me. When I stop missing the Little Baker, I will check out their food etc. But for now I am sadden by another local high street shop gone. End of an era.

Popular local independent bakery with thousands of amazing cakes on display! Check out the frogs! This place is bustling on a Saturday morning and with good reason - everything looks delicious.

I got one of those sponge cream and a muffin - the sugar rush was mind-blowing; it was THAT delicious.

Came to Arome after hearing lots of great things online and it did not disappoint! My only regret…read moreis I wish I had more people with me or I wish I was hungrier cuz I really wanted to order ALLLL the pastries! My husband and I decided to try for a table and we ended up waiting about 45 min - 1 hour to sit. There was a super short line for to-go pastries (and sometimes there was no line), so if you're pressed for time, definitely do that! I love how the Arome workers help move the line along and help people in line find tables. Also speaking of Arome, the AROMA was fantastic! It smelled to buttery and fantastic both inside and while waiting in line. I ended up trying: the iconic Honey Butter Toast, Black Sesame Mochi Cookie, and Almond and Chocolate Croissant, a Savory Croissant (I think Sausage and Cheese), a Chai, and a Matcha. Everything was SO GOOD. All the pastries were amazing. I'm glad we got a mix of sweet and savory things. Everything we had was buttery, flaky, intentional, and made with love. What you'll like the most will depend on your personal flavor preferences! Definitely give this place a try!

Arome produced pastries both beautiful and divine!…read more On the recommendation of friends, we made a stop by here for a Monday breakfast. According to their website, they deliver "European excellence with Asian flair" which is really a great way to describe their pastries and the experience! Definitely the quality that you would expect with some of those Asian flavors. Here is what we tried: Chocolate Pistachio Escargot (5/5): Shaped in a snail shell, in between the flaky layers of pastry were luscious chocolate sprinkled with pistachio for nutty texture. Really enjoyed this one! Honey Butter Toast (4/5): Touted as their signature, I had high expectations for this. It is exactly as described which that slightly sweetness from the honey in a perfectly toasted milk bread. I did enjoy this a lot but also felt like it would benefit by having something else for texture or contrast. Chicken Butter Croissant (4/5): The croissant had the nice flaky layer with chewy interior. I loved the savory chicken sausage with the slightly sweet soy glaze that provided nice contrast and that Asian twist. When we got there a little after opening, there was no line but all the seats were taken as the place is quite limited on seats. While we were asked to wait for a little a bit outside, we did not have to wait too long. However, the line did end up getting longer as we were leaving and some ended up eating outside. Overall, if you are interested in tasting some tasty pastries, I would recommend Arome!

Mmmmm......Donuts! (Said in the voice of Homer Simpson.)…read more They do donuts so righteous here. As we were walking around Borough Market we saw the line for Bread Ahead and realized it was for the donut stand they had outside along the street. We had to jump on line and drool over the display of sugary goodness. We each tried a different donut and was not disappointed! So many varieties to choose from - coconut, lemon curd, blackcurrant cheesecake, seasalt caramel and honeycomb, and others. They don't skimp on the fillings as each bite was flavorful. Yum!

I'd reccomend checking out the bakery as this is where the fresh goodies are made and you're more likely to get the fresh batch here. Price wise, it's a bit steep. At 5£ per donut and 6.50£ for a piece of focaccia. But you're in a tourist area so high prices should be expected. We opted for the cheese focaccia that came right out from the oven. For 6£, it's not bad. It's pretty sizable and a good shareable snack! It's a good crusty bread and had a subtle garlic flavor with a blend of stringy cheese. If you like cheesy garlic bread, this is for you! Out of all the snacks you could get in the borough market, this is a solid option! But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
