They serve agua frescas and soft drinks. I ordered the 12 piece combo. They let me try both half fried and half grilled chicken. I chose 1 order of sweet plantains and 2 orders of yuca fries for my 3 sides. Also I was given some dinner bread rolls. The fried chicken has a distinct taste;it was savory and citrusy. There was a crunch to it but not as crispy as the other fried chicken chains and is less greasy. The fried chicken is seasoned with cumin, lime, paprika and cayenne peppers. The grilled chicken tasted super zesty ( heavy flavors of lime/oregano). The plantains is super sweet but soooo yummy!! I enjoyed the yuca fries as well( tasted like sweet fried thick cut potatoes). They carry the Cholula brand hot sauce and not texas pete like most places do. There is a good amount of seatings outdoor with umbrellas and indoor seating. They do catering too. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy. There were many tables filled with family eating lunch. It was quiet. Staff is quick to greet and service. I prefer the grilled chicken over the fried chicken. The fried chicken is good but wasnt too fond of the seasonings and it was a bit dry. I love the side orders, there so delicous. If you're into some new taste, check them out!!

Service was interesting/questionable because we were approached by two different servers for drink orders within a few minutes. Secondly, we asked what was in/on the side for some items and the server had no idea and didn't offer to go ask the kitchen. Third, why have horchata on the menu if you don't serve it... Or at least tell the table things you are out of when you first greet them so they can review the menu and make quicker decisions. But she was sweet and the food we ordered came out correctly.

Service was definitely underwhelming this round, and honestly the food didn't hold up either. I'm a Birria girl through and through and I played it safe with what what I know. The birria tacos came a bit OVERstuffed for me and they fell apart immediately, and there was zero real flavor. My margarita was giving straight strawberry syrup with a splash of "hope." Wait time for initial service was 30+ minutes, and we were told they were short-staffed. Our server was on day 2, so no shade to him at all -- that was a management/setup issue. It just felt like no one was really helping control the chaos or wait times. After eating, we still waited another 30 minutes just to get our checks. Not to mention, there was an extra margarita on my tab that I didn't order. Between the noise level and language barriers, I ended up using a translator app just to clear it up... which honestly is my sign to start my Spanish lessons ASAP. Overall, I won't pull up for the party nights but maybe a chill Sunday visit would hit better, and I'll definitely be trying a different menu item until those birria tacos redeem themselves

We opted some of both with a little more emphasis on the Salvadoran. Our choices were: Platillo Tipico (a Salvadoran Plate with a Chicken Tamal, a Pork & Cheese Pupusa, Tuca, Fried Plantain, Pastelito, & Sour Cream - $10.99), Carne Asada (with Rice & Beans - $11.99), Caldo de Mariscos (Seafood Soup - $12.90), One Beef Burrito, One Taco & One Enchilada Combo ($6.99), One Enchilada, One Beef Burrito & Chile Relleno Combo ($ 6.99). There was a lot of items to sample, and it was really a mixed bag, but more negative than positive. The Bad - the Chicken Tamal was awful, and the Pastelito was not much better - both were dry and bland. The Seafood Soup lacks freshness, smelled and tasted old! The OK, just OK - the Pupusa, Plantains, Carne Asada, Beef Burrito, Chicken Enchilada, Fried Yucca, Rice & Beans. The Good (not Great) - Chicken Taco, and the Chile Relleno. Not even close to enough to bring me back here - too much excellent food of this style is available.

There's a pool table right in the middle of the floor. To be honest this place looks more like a bar/lounge. The only good thing that tasted good was the Salvadorian horchata.

It was the end of the festival and we were lucky enough to snag one of the last available pulled pork arepas, fried yuca and sweet plantains. The girl taking our order, Maya, was so friendly and personable. Our food was ready quickly and came out piping hot and fresh. The fried yuca was crispy with a drizzle of delicious green sauce. The sweet plantains were fried to the point where the exterior of the plantain was just caramelized enough, but the star of the show was the pulled pork arepa. Imagine a pulled pork sandwich with crispy arepas as your bun topped with jalapeño coleslaw and pickled onions. The flavors of the toppings combined with the juicy pulled pork is top tier. Everyone was friendly and made you feel right at home. Will 100 percent be following them on Instagram @lamonona2024 to see where they post up next!
