Calypso Coffee is one of my favorite coffee spots in Apopka. The coffee is always incredible, and their breakfast sandwiches are just as good. My personal favorite is the Cuban sandwich -- definitely worth trying. The shop itself is really cozy, with a great atmosphere, and everyone there has always been extremely friendly. One of my favorite things about Calypso is their seasonal menu. They're always changing things up and coming out with new drinks, so there's usually something different to look forward to. That being said, I still have to give a special mention to the Calypso, their signature coffee. It's one of my favorites and something I keep coming back to. Overall, great coffee, great food, a cozy atmosphere, and genuinely nice people. Definitely a spot I recommend if you're in Apopka. read more

Coffee was very delicious. My friend and I got a coffee flight so we could try multiple options. I loved 3 out of 4 of them. The Calypso coffee was the best one by far! So so yummy! The food was presented nicely but wasn't the best I ever had. It was okay. I will definitely come back for the coffee but probably not the food. The place itself has a super cool vibe and they have an interested business story. They also give back which is a plus! We waited a little bit for our items but overall the workers were kind. read more

I finally had the chance to try Calypso Coffee Bar here in Apopka (where I live!) and I can't believe it took me this long! It's only 3 minutes from my house and it is officially my new favorite spot This wonderful family-owned Guatemalan coffee shop has so many amazing options for coffee and teas -- there's truly something for everyone. Everything tastes fresh and made with care. They also offer small brunch specials like delicious sandwiches, which makes it the perfect cozy stop in the morning or afternoon. The best part? Everyone was so kind and welcoming. You can really feel the love and warmth as soon as you walk in. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back! read more

Popped into this coffee shop for a quick coffee and bite to-go as I was in the area. Initial impression, so cute - the decor is darling and the staff is super friendly! They were really busy at 9:45 AM which is great to see! It did take about 20 minutes to get an iced coffee and a frittata to-go, but I understood as they were servicing many tables and other to-go orders in front of me. They offer coffee flights which looked super cool and pretty much every table had ordered one. I definitely want to come back to try them! My iced coffee was delicious and my frittata was so good too! Love this cutie little place and will definitely return when I'm in the area! read more

We fell in love with this beautiful coffee shop today. The coffee was delightful and the service even. Better. Unique and colorful coffee shop in Apopka! Puerto Rico owned. In a strip mall so there is plenty of parking. The inside is decorated so fun! Not a ton of available seating but enough! Unique coffee drinks and a large seasonal menu. They even offer coffee flights which is so fun! Not a lot of coffee shops in the Orlando area do this. I got the Super Bowl and bad bunny latte which was a special offering for the Super Bowl. It was guava and cheese and delicious! read more

This is by far my favorite place for specialty drinks in Central fl! I absolutely love everything about Calypso, from the sisters who own and run this spot to the drink names and the amazing combination of flavors they create. The flavors are big and bold but well balanced and nuanced. From teas to coffees they have something for everyone. The service is always on point and they are so helpful and friendly. If I'm ever stuck in what to order they have never steered me wrong! Sit for a while or grab and go, but make sure you take a picture at their photo wall. The coffee they use is top tier and they ethically source their beans (which if I remember correctly it's their family's farm as well.) It's the only place we buy our whole beans for home brewing. I'm not a coffee person but Calypso's coffee is so good I happily order it over a tea. If you haven't had the chance to check them out do yourself a favor and go! You'll be rewarded with something delicious and you can't get anywhere else. read more

Calypso Coffee is truly a gem! This family-owned shop delivers the kind of warm, personal service you just don't find everywhere. Their food options are delightful-- the avocado toast is fresh, and full of flavor, and the Mallorca sandwich is soft, slightly sweet, and delicious. If you're indecisive with the type of coffee you would like you have an option to order a coffee flight. You get to choose four cold coffees. Highly recommend! read more

Cute Spot with Great Vibes & Tasty Treats! I visited The Calypso Coffee Bar in Apopka today and was pleasantly surprised! It's a small, cozy coffee bar with a really good vibe, definitely the kind of place you'd want to relax or catch up with a friend. They have a scannable menu, which makes browsing easy, and a nice selection of food and drinks, including some unique specials. I tried the Concha from their Hispanic Heritage menu, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Soft, flavorful, and just the right touch of sweet, highly recommend it if it's still on the menu! Prices are on the higher side, but if you're someone who values supporting local, small business owners, it's totally worth it. The atmosphere, service, and quality made it a great experience overall. I'll definitely be back to try more of their seasonal or cultural specials! read more

Do not let the decor delude you into thinking it's just another coffee place. There is something quite special about this place. They source their beans from their family farm in South America, you can buy them to bring home and have the most beautiful cup of coffee yourself. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable. I have found where I will source my beans whenever I am in town. Yes you can get coffee there and yes, they have treats there, I was only there for the beans so cannot tell you how everything else was. Looks like you'll have to try it for yourself. read more

Service was very slow being I was the only one in the place. Latte was ok. Place was cute.

I had been meaning to stop by and I was greeted by the owners which are nice, friendly, welcoming and happy to make any suggestions. The shop is open with inside seating and the decor is cute. The owners told me that their drinks are inspired by Greek mythology, which makes it interesting. The also bring their coffee from their own family farm! I love that they are supporting the farmers and it is a family business. I had a latte and it was very acidic for me, but I will be back to give their tea or kombucha a try next time. read more

Super cute coffee bar and I love how it is a family business that they soured their own coffee! We got a flight of 4 different coffees which were all so yummy! Loved the Calypso and the creme brûlée! What I will say, the flight was WAY over priced. It was $25 I thought for that price we would get full sized coffees, but we got tiny ones. Probably paid $25 for 2 shots of espresso total so for me personally that was disappointing. Could have paid the same price for 4 full size coffees so I don't know why the price was $25 for the little ones.... Overall I'd come back and try some more coffees. Inside is nice to relax or study and they have many tables to chill! read more

I've been wanting to visit Calypso and finally had the opportunity to today. I had an amazing experience! The shop is so cute and well decorated. The mermaid vibes are amazing. The parking is also great. The staff were very welcoming and helped me navigate the menu. They gave helpful recommendations. I ended up selecting Aphrodite's Love potion, a white mocha latte with rose. It was absolutely delicious. The coffee is the highest quality. The rose was floral, and not too overpowering. The drink was sweet, but not overly sweet. The whip was a nice touch and they put dried rose petals on top. It was absolutely perfect. I'm excited to come back and try more. I think I've only had coffee 5x in my life and I've never been able to finish a whole drink on my own because I don't like the taste but calypso coffee it's actually so tasty. I love it so much! Came in here with my husband to try their famous coffee flight and grab breakfast. Although I love the concept of the coffee flight, the price shocked us. I do understand it is because 4 craft coffees are created for this, but it cost more (double) any beer flight we've ever had. The coffees were all delicious (the Calypso) was my favorite, but they were all SUPER sweet. They all felt like dessert drinks. Just keep that in mind if you are getting a signature drink. I don't like sweet coffees so it felt overbearing after a couple of sips. For the flight and an avocado toast we paid $50 which felt kind of crazy. We wouldn't do that again, it's more of a novelty and I'm typically a simple coffee girly. The service was good (a little slow) and the location was cute. I'm not sure if we'll be back because there are other craft coffee shops that are closer to home that cost less. read more

Wonderful new family owned location with a Greek mythology theme! They import their beans from their family farm in Guatemala putting farm workers first. They have iced, hot, and flights of coffees available along with small pastries. They also sell beans by the pound and ore packaged (which I bought and was amazing) Their grand opening is July 22nd so make sure to check them out and show some love! Update*** adding a picture of their amazing flight!! My fave was the rose drink, you can smell the rose petals before drinking. Multi sensory experience! read more

This was my first visit to Calypso and definitely won't be my last! We got to meet the owner who told us about her new business with her sister and how their beans come from their family's farm in Guatemala, and a portion of their proceeds go directly back to Guatemala as well. They have coffees and matcha available, and even a coffee flight which I'll have to try next time. They also have coffee beans available to buy to take home. For food they have a selection of sandwiches and pastries. I ordered toffee nut cappuccino and it was SO good, definitely amazing quality coffee. I also enjoyed my bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Small family owned coffee shop at the end of a local strip center. This place was nice, but I don't rate it at the 5 stars everyone else has. I have been to better. I think my rating is based more on expectation. The coffee is good, but not as unique as I would have expected for a place all but 2 people gave 5 stars. Seating is limited, but probably adequate for the area. They serve a wide variety of coffee drinks and limited food menu. They offer 2 egg sandwiches and 3 others. They also have a variety of baked goods and bottled juices. I had the Cuban sandwich, a latte, and cheese danish. A little disappointed as I expected something more 'gourmet', not the generic commissary style sandwich especially at the $10 price point. Baked goods are the same. Good, but nothing special. I think if you like specialty coffees (syrups, fancy, etc.) this place probably delivers. I saw one of the coffee flight go out. Very interesting and well presented. The folks who ordered it really seemed to enjoy them. Service was good as well. If you are in the area and looking for more than your average Starbucks or gas station brew, stop in and support the family. I recommend it. read more

This place is new to the area so I'll give them a slight break. The place is chaotic, from design to seating arrangements. People standing in the middle of the already small aisles (which I don't believe a wheelchair user would be able to comfortably get through), the menus are scattered throughout the place and near the register some horribly scanned copies are taped down. There's no food menu and the pastry case is on the opposite side of the bar so you don't really have an opportunity to look before ordering. The service was pretty slow considering they weren't very busy - 10 minutes for a Chai. The food was very mid, see below for the hockey puck of a sandwich, the croissant was hard, just go buy yourself a jimmy dean sandwich at this rate. The onion bagel was clearly sitting out a very long time because it was stale. The potential behind this place is definitely there, really cute coffee names and options, which is why I came here to begin with. Hopeful they can make changes as they grow and become better. read more
