Calypso Coffee Bar has a welcoming, laid‑back atmosphere. Julisa and Ericka were super helpful with suggestions, I tried the Calypso and it was delicious! They even pointed me toward some great local vegan restaurants. The coffee beans are sourced directly from their family farm in Guatemala, bringing love and authentic flavor to every cup. Alongside the drinks, they also provide a variety of vegan snack options. If I lived around here, this would definitely be my favorite coffee spot! Friendly staff, excellent coffee, and a laid-back vibe! Pros: -Cafe con corazón -Chill vibe -Delicious coffee -Vegan snack options -Environmentally conscious cafe -Plenty of parking Cons: -Too far from the West Coast Doce dieciocho dos mil viente cuatro

We fell in love with this beautiful coffee shop today. The coffee was delightful and the service even. Better. They have a big variety of food but I went with the avocado toast and it was delicious, I am still thinking about it. It was topped with pickled onions and a balsamic blaze. Everything was delicious from start to finish.

Unique and colorful coffee shop in Apopka! Puerto Rico owned. In a strip mall so there is plenty of parking. The inside is decorated so fun! Not a ton of available seating but enough! Unique coffee drinks and a large seasonal menu. They even offer coffee flights which is so fun! Not a lot of coffee shops in the Orlando area do this. I got the Super Bowl and bad bunny latte which was a special offering for the Super Bowl. It was guava and cheese and delicious!

Calypso Coffee is truly a gem! This family-owned shop delivers the kind of warm, personal service you just don't find everywhere. Their food options are delightful-- the avocado toast is fresh, and full of flavor, and the Mallorca sandwich is soft, slightly sweet, and delicious. If you're indecisive with the type of coffee you would like you have an option to order a coffee flight. You get to choose four cold coffees. Highly recommend!

Cute Spot with Great Vibes & Tasty Treats! I visited The Calypso Coffee Bar in Apopka today and was pleasantly surprised! It's a small, cozy coffee bar with a really good vibe, definitely the kind of place you'd want to relax or catch up with a friend. They have a scannable menu, which makes browsing easy, and a nice selection of food and drinks, including some unique specials. I tried the Concha from their Hispanic Heritage menu, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Soft, flavorful, and just the right touch of sweet, highly recommend it if it's still on the menu! Prices are on the higher side, but if you're someone who values supporting local, small business owners, it's totally worth it. The atmosphere, service, and quality made it a great experience overall. I'll definitely be back to try more of their seasonal or cultural specials!

Customer service was great! Nice place to work from! Didn't order any food. The flight was $25 and worth it.

I had been meaning to stop by and I was greeted by the owners which are nice, friendly, welcoming and happy to make any suggestions. The shop is open with inside seating and the decor is cute. The owners told me that their drinks are inspired by Greek mythology, which makes it interesting. The also bring their coffee from their own family farm! I love that they are supporting the farmers and it is a family business. I had a latte and it was very acidic for me, but I will be back to give their tea or kombucha a try next time.

Place is pretty chill. Drinks are cold and strong. The staff was welcoming and answered questions without hesitation. The drinks were quick.

Must try coffee stop! Family owned and farm to table coffee from their farm in Guatemala. Super cute spot with lots of unique and classic coffee options. Seasonal flavors and coffee flights available! Super great and friendly service too. Plus you can buy their grown coffee by the bag!

Super cute coffee bar and I love how it is a family business that they soured their own coffee! We got a flight of 4 different coffees which were all so yummy! Loved the Calypso and the creme brûlée! What I will say, the flight was WAY over priced. It was $25 I thought for that price we would get full sized coffees, but we got tiny ones. Probably paid $25 for 2 shots of espresso total so for me personally that was disappointing. Could have paid the same price for 4 full size coffees so I don't know why the price was $25 for the little ones.... Overall I'd come back and try some more coffees. Inside is nice to relax or study and they have many tables to chill!

Fantastic quality coffee bar, Thai tea and breakfast delectables! Atmosphere is pristine and nicely appointed. What's best? Incredible service from the team serving you. Need a recommendation? They've got you! Definitely a must to visit for the coffee connoisseur. Love this place! (Here with friend and okids)

I've been wanting to visit Calypso and finally had the opportunity to today. I had an amazing experience! The shop is so cute and well decorated. The mermaid vibes are amazing. The parking is also great. The staff were very welcoming and helped me navigate the menu. They gave helpful recommendations. I ended up selecting Aphrodite's Love potion, a white mocha latte with rose. It was absolutely delicious. The coffee is the highest quality. The rose was floral, and not too overpowering. The drink was sweet, but not overly sweet. The whip was a nice touch and they put dried rose petals on top. It was absolutely perfect. I'm excited to come back and try more. Calypso is a small locally owned business. They're an amazing choice if you're trying to support the community and avoid corporate coffee.

    Coffee flight!

Came in here with my husband to try their famous coffee flight and grab breakfast. Although I love the concept of the coffee flight, the price shocked us. I do understand it is because 4 craft coffees are created for this, but it cost more (double) any beer flight we've ever had. The coffees were all delicious (the Calypso) was my favorite, but they were all SUPER sweet. They all felt like dessert drinks. Just keep that in mind if you are getting a signature drink. I don't like sweet coffees so it felt overbearing after a couple of sips. For the flight and an avocado toast we paid $50 which felt kind of crazy. We wouldn't do that again, it's more of a novelty and I'm typically a simple coffee girly. The service was good (a little slow) and the location was cute. I'm not sure if we'll be back because there are other craft coffee shops that are closer to home that cost less.

The servers were great, but the 'dark' coffee was not near dark or flavorful. And the breakfast sandwiches were below average.

Overall, I did find it expensive for what you get, and I feel there is some criticism here they need to accept: #1 - What we were served looked nothing like the pictures from the first 2 years they were open, in which the desserts are about 60% flavored ice and 40% toppings. What we got was about 97% shaved ice and 3% toppings. (Also, no whipped cream on the polar affogato). #2 - There is a teeny tiny sign on the back wall that you can barely read that states that all orders have a 10% gratuity automatically included. This sign is NOT visible from the cash register, and is 8 get away in 14-16 pt font. Clearly they don't want customers to see it.. Additionally, their POS system is asking you to add gratuity, even though they're already secretly auto-charging you 10% gratuity. That is flat-out disgusting. There was very little labor/time involved. So on top of the high prices, with greatly reduced toppings, they are encouraging people to pay upwards of 30% gratuity? For $8 flavored ice ready in 3 minutes? To make it worse, I'm sure the people working were the owners. Proprietors shouldnt be accepting or soliciting ANY tips at all.

It was no where near as clean or charming as I had expected. Once greeted, I asked if I could have my Americano in a mug instead of a to-go cup. [Insert confused face here]. Apparently this was a tough request. Once we cleared this up, payment was processed and I took a seat at a booth. Coffee order was brought out in a small plastic cup. Yes- plastic cups. Mmmm, hot liquid served in plastic is my fav. (I'm kidding of course) worse yet, the coffee was straight up awful. Truly, it was bad and I hate to even say this. I'm a huge espresso lover. I have a fancy machine at home but I love to support coffee shops when I'm out running errands. There are very rare times that I have negative comments. Sadly, this was one of those rare occasions. On the bright side- clean restrooms & fun art on the walls. And I was able to snap some cute shots with a retro filter.

They also ask for 20-25% tip which I think is too much considering we pick up after ourselves and get up to get our own napkins, utensils, sugars, etc. I work in the service industry and I only ask myself if they're getting paid below minimum wage. Obviously I still leave a tip because I appreciate what they do, it would just be greedy if the owners are paying their workers below minimum wage. Enough yapping, we ordered the cachapa with cheese, which came out cold and crumbly, it looked beautiful but the flavor was not there, I've tried many cachapas and by far this one was the least pleasant to eat. The burger didn't taste authentic at allll. It felt like more bread than anything. The empanada did not taste authentic at all, it was like the filling barely had any potatoes, it just felt like the flavors were not there at all. I will continue to order these items at my local Colombian restaurant, where they never fail. The best part of my visit was their latte, it was soooo good and made my day so much better. My son also got a reindeer cookie which he loved, it was beautiful. I cannot say I'll be back anytime soon, I'll definitely be open to trying them out again and seeing if maybe the experience will be better and not only about aesthetics or how pretty everything looks, but on flavor and authenticity.
