I've been here many times before, and they honestly don't disappoint. Halo-Halo, a dessert well known to Filipinos, is one of the most popular cold desserts out there. They did a pretty good job with the coconut, Ube ice cream, Leche Flan, legumes, condensed milk and crushed ice. I may be missing some other ingredients, but they could use a splash more of the condensed milk. Otherwise, a really good dessert on a hot, sunny Florida day. And don't forget to "mix-mix" it up. That's your direct translation. That way, you can spoon up as much of the ingredients as possible into one bite! "They're your tastebuds! Satisfy them!" -Allan Delacruz
I came in for an afternoon treat and had a great experience at Sago. The shop is cute and clean with comfy couches for lounging. They sell Filipino grocery items and snacks that you can take home. The service was good and fast. I got the ube overload. True to its name, it had amazing ube flavor. The boba were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The drink was so pretty and well crafted. I'm excited to come back!
Ordered the ube matcha overload! The drink came out super gorgeous, but way too sweet even at 25%. Also, unsure of the type or amount of matcha they use as the drink was more of a pale green and I was not able to taste much matcha flavor (but I am an avid matcha drinker and use ceremonial matcha frequently). We had the ube crinkle cookies that were good and the creme brûlée ube cake slice which was my favorite out of everything we ordered.
My go to boba spot!! I come here all the time. Every time is just as expected so it's very consistent. I recommend their ube overload or the ube latte. Also, they sell cakes, their ube crème brulee is addicting as well as their mango cake. Check out their deep freezer as well for some Filipino staple
Boba but with a Filipino flair, Sago Tea Bar is literally a dream come true for this Filipina. They serve bubble teas drawn from iconic Filipino desserts with flavors like Buko Pandan, Brazo de Mercedes, Sago't Gulaman, Halo-Halo, and more! Names aside, each flavor tastes incredible and clearly hails to the sweet treat it's inspired by. Even the Ube Overload distinguishes itself from seemingly similar Taro teas served at other stores. (To me it tastes reminiscent of Sapin-Sapin, which is a personal favorite of mine) Needless to say, all the staff are incredibly nice and the store itself is adorable. There's even a little photo spot set up. They also sell other items like ice cream, bread, and cakes on the side. (With varying availability) Honestly the only downside to this store is that I don't live close enough to be able to go more often!
The last place before me and my sister headed home. We drove to this established and wanted to try out their beverages. My sister said she saw ads of this place on social media and heard it was good. We walked in and there was a nice set up and an area to do social media photos. I ordered the Ube Matcha Overload and my sister had the Dalgona. My Ube Matcha Overload was good and not too sweet which is how I like it. The Ube whipped cream was delicious and fluffy along with the colorful swirl of both Ube and Matcha. Very interesting taste as it blended well together. My sister's Dalgona was also good to and the coffee content was perfect to my taste. I would definitely recommend this place and note that parking is on a hill (you'll be parked sideways). The staff was great and the photo area was very creative. Love the Ube info board as well to give a little background. Next time, I want to try out the Buko Pandan and Sakura Rose Milk Tea. :)
Still dreaming about this Tea Bar in Apopka/Altamonte Springs (Orlando Burb area). It is filipino owned which is awesome and with that comes more fun flavor options. I love their ube overload boba. My hubby had a mango milk tea. There are so many options to try. In addition, they have Filipino snacks as well. I picked up some ube hopia, some ube cheese Pandesal and some other stuff Definitely check this place out. They are super sweet and welcoming!! I'll definitely be back and wish it was even closer to me.
Matcha slush wasn't on the menu but they made it. The texture was so creamy and smooth, highly impressed! They also have menu items, and other products to purchase. The drink was made on the spot and the service was very cordial and fast.
Happy to be able to try Filipino desserts. The Ube drink was really good - my friends really liked it and we're definitely coming back whenever we drive up to that area. The only thing I didn't like is that everything was very very sweet. I think next time, I will have to ask for the drinks to be like 50% sweetness level and not 100%. Worth the drive out to try it.
This place was so good! I got the Brown Sugar Boba Tea and I loved it. They have a great menu and the cups are so cute! The location is also great. This place is on my way back home from work, so it's definitely a good pick me up spot, when I've had a rough day at work. They also have some snacks as well, which is always nice! And for my fellow photographers, Instagrams and Yelpers, they have a really nice wall that can be used as a backdrop

I was craving some boba tea yesterday and my husband and I decided to stop by Sago since we were in the area. This was our first time at the business, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and gave recommendations, and the decor was fun. There was a neon sign there for photo ops. They also sell other Filipino goods like ube cheesecake, lumpia, ube ice cream, prawn crisps, hot dogs, and more. There are several flavors and add ins for the milk tea. I got the taro brown sugar specialty milk tea at 50% sweetness with boba. It was the BEST milk tea that my husband or I had ever had! The sweetness was perfect, the flavor was delicious, and the boba was fresh and soft. It was also the most expensive that I've ever had at almost $10 after a tip. I look forward to trying some of the other things there. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+++! read more

By far, the most hidden gem is near me. I was wondering around the Hunts Club Plaza just to see what was in it. I found this establishment, and I parked to try it out. They had a variety of snacks, oils, sauces, bakery items, and many more. I got to try their taro milk tea with oatmilk and lychee popping bobba. Hopefully, I said that right. Lol The service was quick and friendly. I even tried the Ube waffle because I love me some waffles and ube flavors. I will probably be going here every day from now on. The taro was made perfectly and was not too sweet and not too cold, just like Goldie locks once said. Check out some of my photos to see within the location. It was spacious with a nice photo prop area and seating area to relax. You literally could find out about nearby businesses by checking out their board by the restroom. They also sell Uber ice cream by the quart. See you guys again. read more

I was here a few years ago and didn't like it. Today I chose to give them another try. The inside is beautiful. They have good prices. Sadly, the boba here just isn't good (to me) It tastes artificial. I ordered the coconut milk tea and honeydew slush on the phone, it was ready quickly and looked great. I wish I could say the boba was good. But it was so sweet, all we could taste was the artificial sweetener used to make the drinks. We couldn't even finish them. read more

I will say the girl that first girl who helped us was could have been a little more friendly, but the owner who let us know how she was just making the waffle base fresh at the moment and how long it would take was lovely. She came out and chatted with us as we ate as well and I found her very friendly and kind and would like her business to do well! I was so excited to see Ube all over the menu because it's very hard to find in the Continental United States. So it was a wonderful treat! (Ive enjoyed it before while traveling). I got the Ube milk tea and the Ube Egg waffles. It was all yummy! Definitely check out and support this local business! read more

Small little shop that sells some frozen Filipino meats like tusino and longanisa at a pretty fair price, they also had some cheese ensanda, ube rolls, fresh hopia and so much more snacks. The staff was very friendly and offered help when deciding what we would like from menu. The atmosphere felt friendly and welcoming. They had a photo op wall with a bench you can sit on while waiting for your order. I picked the Ube Matcha Milk Overload with boba. It was pretty delicious and not overly sweet so you can really taste the matcha and Ube. The Ube swirl around the cup and the Ube whipped cream was my favorite. The matcha wasn't overpowering so you got the perfect mixture of both tastes with the Ube. We also purchased some frozen tusino & longanisa that was good quality. Most definitely will be returning to try some more on their menu. read more

Had the chance to try Sago Tea Bar finally today and I could not be any happier. The young lady that took my order was so so sweet in helping me with my selection and ensuring I had no caffeine. I even told her that I have never tried boba and she offered to allow me to try it before adding it to my order which made me so happy because not many other spots would do that to help me. The ube overload milk tea was FULL OF FLAVOR and so beautiful just the look was enough for me to be happy but the flavor exceeded my expectations! 10/10 recommend! read more
A gem located in Apopka! A cute little shop serving up some Filipino flavors like buko pandan and halo halo! Definitely a place to stop in for a cool and delicious treat. My son and I had a great little date here and enjoyed an iced genmaicha tea and a halo halo (translated from Tagalog to English literally meaning "mix mix"). I can't wait to come back and try some other drinks! read more
I kept seeing people ordering the specialty milk teas when I came here, so I had to order them this time. I tried the Ube Overload and the the Brown Taro Milk Tea. These were delicious and very filling drinks. Each of the of the taro and overload drinks are nearly enough for two people. They definitely use fresh, great ingredients here. Out of the two I tried, I liked the Brown Taro Milk Tea, but the Ube Overload was a close second. I can't wait to come back and try more of their drinks read more

This is my go to place for my ube craving and other Filipino desserts made into drinks. So good and never disappoints! I'm so happy that they have their own shop now, and even if this place is in the apopka area, it's worth the drive to go. They've added so many additions to their menu and even have snacks, food (on weekends), and a small grocery for snacks to go. Such a great addition for them! Love supporting this local business and they make their drinks so good! read more
I can't believe I've been going to Sago for a year now and still haven't written my review! They recently celebrated being opened for a year and I couldn't be happier for them. I remember going to their pop ups and falling in love with the Ube overload, which is still my favorite drink. Really anything ube on their menu is delicious. It's got a similar flavor to taro which you may find in other tea places. But Ube is unique to Philippines and has a more nutty, creamy flavor in my opinion. On top of their delicious drinks, they also serve yummy desserts, and now breakfasts and snacks! I love their Ube cake so much we ordered a full cake for a birthday. Service is always great and friendly. If you need suggestions or not sure what to order, just ask! It's so rewarding to see an Asian, woman-owned business that opened during COVID pandemic continue to thrive. And even more exciting that it's Filipino culture and cuisine that is being represented. I need to come back for some tapsilog and bust out on a karaoke session soon! read more

If you do not try this ice cream you are missing out. It is the BEST ice cream I've ever had in my life! And the only place I've ever seen this sold is in Hawaii, have not been able to find it here....until now! The ube options are so good here. Check them out! read more
I believe this is one of the few places that specializes in Filipino drinks and desserts in Orlando. They have plenty of drinks and desserts to choose from and pretty much all of them are aesthetically pleasing. My friend and I got the ube overload and the brazos de Mercedes. Both drinks were amazing! I think I liked the ube overload better, however the brazos de Mercedes was very unique in that it had cake in it! Both drinks were sweet but not too sweet to the point where it's overwhelming, like some drink places. I definitely plan on coming back to try out their other specialty drinks. read more

There are many Boba places where you would go just to try a couple of their signature drinks, this one is no exception. Sago is particularly convenient if you live close by Forest Lake Academy/ Church or what I'd call the 'back of Longwood' area. Aside from the boba, they also custom make desserts such as cakes alike. They also carry some Filipino goods and place Filipino TV shows, so if you grew up in the Philippines, you will certainly feel nostalgia there. We went there basically just to relax and ordered the Ube overload. We made sure to ask for ~25% sugar or we'd 100% certain that we would develop type 2 diabetes. Pro: Location, conveniently located far away from other Boba places. Semi-Con: 'Limited' options, but that's what make them really good at the few items they specialize in. Recommended for sure! read more

Love a boba tea place that can control the amount of sugar especially in a Thai tea and get the boba pearls/tapioca just right. Sago Tea Bar offers a variety of specialty drinks. I had the Taro milk tea at 50% sweetness and hubby had the Thai milk tea at 25% sweetness. Both were delicious. Bold flavors! Other offerings: specialty drinks like Buko pandan, halo halo, Sagot Gulamali-Filipino type creations. They also have a fruit collection drink menu that you can have it cold brew of as a slushie. So many different combinations of drinks that we will be back to try more flavors! Place was clean and staff super friendly!!! read more

Wow this place was so good! It's located in Apopka but so close to Orlando and Mt. Dora. It's huge and clean. The owner was very friendly and she helped us explain the drinks and suggested what was their best seller. We ordered the Taho (Made of silken tofu, syrup and pearl), ube supreme (purple yum), halo-halo, and braso de mercedes, and buko pandan boba. I love everything that we ordered, so so good! It's so hard to pick a favorite. Also we tried their ube pandesal and kutsinta. Both were really delicious! I recommend this place and also we will make sire to go back here when ever we are in the area! read more

I live in east Orlando, so I do not get to Apopka very often. But when I do, I have to stop at Sago Tea Bar ATBP. It is an awesome Filipino tea and dessert shop that opened in November 2020. ATBP in the name translates to "At Iba Pa" in Tagalog, or "Et cetera" in English. Sago is the Filipino version of boba. I have tried the Halo-Halo, Sago't Gulaman, Cantaloupe Tea, and Puto Cheese. They also serve different types of samalamigs, taho, different types of kakanin, cornick, ube cheese pandesal, ensaymada, milk bubble teas, and many other Filipino snacks and food items. It is a great spot with a super friendly owner and staff! Go for a merienda and enjoy! read more

We ordered 1 Sago't Gulaman ($4) and 1 Taho ($6) and both were refreshing and delicious. Service is friendly and informative. They started as a food truck and now have an indoor location in the Publix shopping plaza on Hunt Club and 436 on the end towards Victorios restaurant. In the future they'll be adding food to the menu and we can't wait for that to happen. Continued success as it's nice to have Filipino flavors on this side of town. read more
