This is probably my favorite coffee/tea spot. It is a little tight inside and you feel a little strange initially, but as it is a converted house, you enjoy the peace. Each room has a different atmosphere. There's space to hold meetings, small events, or just sit with a book and a coffee on a couch. I have not had a bad coffee or matcha yet. And they change the flavors to the seasons. Summer and fall have been my fave's thus far. There are coffee/tea flights, which my only suggestion would be to label them as they come out. There's snacks and meals, in which the breakfast bowl isn't too bad or heavy. read more

This has become one of my favorite coffee shops in Apopka with the cozy home atmosphere, and variations of coffees and teas. I really like that they have a variation of sugar free syrups for their drinks, so some of the items can be customized. And a toasted buttered Asiago bagel. Perfectly toasted (not line most places that just singe toasted baked goods). Real butter. Even real napkin sized napkins (feels like home). Canon Coffee shop gets 5 stars and wish I could give them 6. First of all, whoever is selecting their coffee beans needs to get a raise. I get the 12 oz. drip coffee (black) and it's always excellent. Really nice complement of complex flavors, brewed to perfection and served at the right temperature. Some coffee shops ruin the flavor by serving it over-brewed. As for the food selection, I've only tried their avocado toast and brownie. Both are really nice. Finally, I wish they had a location that was closer to Orlando/Windermere. I love the laid back, casual and very welcoming atmosphere. The baristas were very helpful. The menu can seem very overwhelming for a first time visit. I wanted something that I could taste the espresso but still have a fun flavor. I tried the spring seasonal pistachio rose latte and it was divine! The espresso shined through but I could still get hints of the pistachio and rose and it wasn't too sweet! They can make it less sweet if you request. I will definitely be returning to explore more creative drinks! I did not have the food but the pastries on display look amazing! I will have to try a food item next visit! They're also worth stopping by to browse their market items that support local small businesses. read more

Our first time to this level cal Apopka coffee shop. It happened to be the day they were hosting a local farmers market. I found the inside to be very cozy and not trying to be something they are not. Large menu of unique drinks and solid food options. I got the iced musician and the breakfast burrito. We happened to be in the area and stopped by on a whim-- so glad we did!! Our GPS led us to park in the back & parking was a bit tricky since the shop is a converted house, but the atmosphere was warm and welcoming :) The beautiful espresso machine right at the ordering counter made the experience even better. My girlfriends and I came in after work for their silent book club event and we had an amazing time. The staff are incredible and so nice. They made great recommendations, brought our drinks to us, and had a great positive energy. I got a medium hot Botanist, which had lovely floral and citrus notes. It was one of the best lattes I've had in a while. Pretty much all of their baked goods are made in house and the seasonal lemon blueberry scones were to die for. I have never left a one star review but the management here is not great. I got the chocolate raspberry latte and it came out SUPER sweet, so I politely asked the barista if he would mind remaking it and I gave him back my drink bc I couldn't drink it bc of how sweet it was. He was super kind and said of course and told me he'd bring me the new latte when it was ready to where I was sitting. A few minutes go by and he comes back and brings me my old drink and says sorry my manager said I can't make you another drink because it's "too sweet". I was super shocked especially bc he took my drink behind the counter when I asked him to remake it and then he brought back the same drink and gave it back to me. I had only had a sip of it and the drink was full when I asked for the change. The ambiance is cute but I couldn't believe the manager handled the situation the way they did. I found myself in Apopka with some time to kill and went looking for something to do. Canon Coffee popped up when I did a cafe search and based on the reviews I knew I needed to stop by. The venue is a bit unassuming from the outside where I think people could miss out on what's inside. I found a spot and the person who met me at the counter took the time to explain how things worked out and made some recommendations. I told him I liked hummingbird cake but wasn't sure about it in latte form and he assured me I wouldn't be disappointed and he was right. The latte was original and also very good. They have multiple rooms inside and events that they host- overall a super cute spot and I'm glad I tried something a little outside of the norm! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a while now. The staff are always friendly. A few recognize him and chat when he comes to place or pick up an order. The cafe is cute and homey feeling. The lattes on the menu are awesome. I've tried almost all of them. We love the sandwiches too. The portions are good for the price. We usually get the BLT and turkey club. We normally come earlier in the day but tonight we stopped by for a late snack. I didn't realize the kitchen closed an hour before the cafe closes, so we came too late. The owner was there when my boyfriend placed the order and was kind enough to make an exception for us. There are really nice people running this place. Although this is a quaint coffee shop, the portion size could be better for the price of their breakfast wrap. Also, who up-charges to add sugar to your coffee? It's tucked inside a cozy, repurposed old house, with rooms that flow into each other and plenty of seating and meeting areas to choose from. If you come in through the door off Lake Ave (it's set back a little), you'll walk right into the ordering area. The other entrance takes you on a short, charming walk through a few rooms before you get to the counter. The kitchen is actually the house's original kitchen, upgraded for the coffee shop, so it's small. This means food might take a bit longer, but honestly, it's always worth the wait. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Their coffee and espresso are consistently excellent, and they keep things fun with seasonal drinks and a great selection of teas. If you're looking for a spot to grab a bite, enjoy a fantastic cup of coffee, or just hang out and study or meet up with friends, Canon Coffee is a must-visit. I had a breakfast sandwich which is a perfectly sized portion of egg and cheese on a smallish croissant. I don't need a massive croissant. You can add bacon or sausage if that's your thing. They have tiny single serving containers of hot sauce. The coffee is impeccable and the regular menu and seasonal menu will blow your mind. Also, baked goods?! 2. The prices are super reasonable. 3. The old house aesthetic is a little weird and confusing but charming? And if that's not your thing, plenty of outdoor seating. 4. Service was a little lengthy but they had a ton of orders before me, so no complaints! Run don't walk. If you live in Orlando, it's worth the drive and there are some cute thrift stores nearby. I am shocked that I have not yet reviewed Canon Coffee, as I have been a regular (although not nearly as regular as I would like!) visitor for years now. Canon has been well reviewed by so many others before me that there is not much for me to add, other than another 5 star review among its many 5 star reviews. I will offer that Canon has consistently delivered among the best Americanos that I have enjoyed -- not just in Central Florida but anywhere in the USA. Their consistency is such that I am often inspired to drive 40 minutes from my home to visit Canon just to be certain that I will receive a special brew. The interior is relaxing and spacious and it is a great space for quiet conversation, reading a book, and general relaxation with a great cup of coffee. Counter staff is always friendly and efficient, despite sometimes lengthy lines for service. The team keeps up with demand and they do so with smiles on their faces. Canon can compete in any major city that I have visited in the USA. Apopka has quite a gem hidden in its back roads and for most of Central Florida, you can only hope to have a reason to be in the area, or you need to make a point of creating a reason to visit! read more
