When the pandemic hit, we were like--alright, let's bring the vacation to us. Called Larry at Calm Water Pools, and our journey began. What transpired was beyond our imagination. Our overgrown backyard and rickety deck have given way to an amazing stone paver patio, a in-ground, heated pool, and a hot tub. We added new landscaping, outdoor furniture and a white fence around it all and voila--what a friend called "Shangri-La!" Larry and his team did the whole thing--not just the pool. From permits to an end result that makes people go OMG when they see it...everything...done to perfection. After completing a basic install of my fiberglass spa, my pool contractor disappeared from the job and never returned. There I was left with a muddy mess and a non functioning pool. Then I called Larry of Calm Water Pools. Despite this being a very busy pool season amid the pandemic, Larry stepped in and took charge. Larry was able to work me in and completed the entire project in a matter of weeks, even while he had other projects going on. This is my experience with Calm Water Pools and Larry in particular that is nothing short of spectacular. I have wanted a built in pool since I am a child, and it came true when I learned about the fiberglass installation and the ease of it all. Larry came out, we chatted, addressed my concerns, put me at ease about maintenance and overall cost and I was sold. I was really sold at the 5 day turnaround. Larry got all permits needed, dealt with the city, handled the contractors and I sat back and watched my dream become a reality in 4 or 5 days. My only regret is that I did not listen to Larry when asked about a hot tub. I thought who is going to want to swim in the winter. I was so wrong. I did opt for my pool to be heated and that is heaven on earth. Takes the chill off on some days, I can open my pool earlier, and keep it going till late fall. If that is an option for you, do it. Maintenance is a breeze, costs are minimal to run and repairs are minor. Even years later, when we had our horrific flood in July and my pool became one big mud pit, I called Larry and he walked me through all the steps to get it bright and clear again. He offered to come over but I was able to get it all worked out. Best thing I ever did to my home. I absolutely love it. read more

When I met Larry from Calm Water Pools, I was in a tough spot. 9 months earlier my 1 year old Viking pool, installed incorrectly by another company, had failed, leaving me with an unusable, disastrous, hole in my back yard. The previous installer was unwilling to take responsibility. I was sure that the home owners insurance check that I eventually received would never cover the cost to remove the old pool along with all of the concrete decking and install a new one. Larry worked with me to get everything completed with the insurance money I had. He and his crew had the concrete and old pool removed and the new pool installed and plumbing completed in 2 (you read that right) 2 days. It was a very pleasant ending to what had been a nightmare for my family for an entire year. It has been 8 years since Calm Water Pools installed our Viking Laguna model pool and it is truly an oasis in our own back yard. read more
