You never really think about, or appreciate, locksmiths until you're in trouble. It was later in the evening and I was heading out, as I locked my door I noticed that the key rotated just a little further than it typically did for the stopping point of the deadbolt. So I decided to unlock the door and lock it again just to see if something was wrong, and thank goodness I did. My key no longer engaged the deadbolt and would simply turn freely in the lock. The locksmith came out very quickly and I was able to get the issue resolved, which was actually drilling out the old lock and installing a new deadbolt and key. I ended up missing out on the event I was going to, but I am glad that it was taking care of then, instead of after midnight when I would have gotten back and found myself to be unable to get into my apartment! BEWARE. (As the business owner's response below demonstrates, he is combative and unprofessional. Thus reinforcing the accuracy of this review). Alon, the owner, broker my door and lock, refusing to take accountability, repair or refund. After admitting he broke it and doesn't have the knowledge to repair, he decided to call and tell me that I broke it. He's a locksmith ... that I called for his expertise and should have been able to repair. He basically stole money and left. After many calls and texts, asking him for a resolution, I ended up having to file a report with the police for my safety. My boyfriend and I also will be moving forward with other actions including filing a claim with the BBB, small claims court and contacting "3 on Your Side." I'm hoping this review can prevent others from enduring similar poor experiences and being ripped off. Should Alon make the situation right I will update. read more
