The menu is large with a variety of food (including Thai food) making it hard to choose so my family of 4 stuck to what we like and ordered the following: 1. Pho Dac Biet (Combo/Special Pho): Hubby says the broth is ok and that the aroma of the Pho spices is light. He said there is too much noodles and not enough ingredients though the slices of various beef cuts were cooked well and the tendons eas just right, not too hard nor soft. 2. Banh Canh Do Bien (seafood udon): This is my favorite Hue dish, udon. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't made with fresh udon noodles and thick broth, but rather the noodles used were more like Japanese udon noodles. The broth has a light flavor which required me to add a little raw fish sauce and lemon but the aroma of the fried shallots smells so good with each spoon I eat. The noodles were decent and not over cooked and there were alot of seafood in the bowl compared to other bowls I've had other places. They were not skimpy on the ingredients. 3. Two Com Suong Bo Dai Han (Rice w/ Korean ribs) for my 13yo and 10yo boys: Both boys were disappointed in the plate compared to what we eat back home in San Jose. They said the ribs were marinated with good flavor but lightly flavored. There were barely any meat and mostly bones and fat. It came with pickled veggies instead of regular lettuce & cucumbers. And it comes with a side of soup as all Vietnamese rice dishes do. The service was good as we were checked in a couple times. When we requested a water refill it was filled promptly. Overall, I think their menu is too large so the quality of the food dish is not as great.

The broth here is super clear and refreshing, and despite the negative comments saying otherwise, the portions are very generous. They ration the meat to noodles well and even just a regular size is insanely filling for me! This is a family run restaurant with friendly workers. It has an A rating displayed outside the restaurant, and a very large menu variety. Although many leave poor reviews, I strongly believe this restaurant deserves more love. It's the OG for a reason! Usually, Rangoons have a puffy shaped appearance and have a cream cheese filling. The Rangoons we got were flat shaped triangles. I thought this was weird but I was trying to be open minded as maybe they have a different style here. They unexpectedly tasted like Chicken. I'm not sure if they used ground Chicken meat in them or if the taste of the filling was overpowered by being cooked in Chicken grease. The next item was Papaya Salad. The person that ate this said it didn't taste like Papaya. The main comment was either they used low-quality Papaya or it was old. Then there was the entree I got, Crying Tiger. Usually, Crying Tiger is marinated flank steak thinly sliced with a spicy sauce on the side. That's not what I got. The meat I got was Steak cut into cubes. It looked and tasted like the cuts of meat you buy at the grocery store to make stew. The sauce on the side was not right either. While the meat tasted alright for being stew meat, the dish was simply not what I was expecting. Overall, the food was visually unappealing and didn't taste right or was sub-par. It was clear that whoever was cooking the food didn't know how to make restaurant quality Thai food. I felt like I was eating out of the back of someone's house who didn't know how to cook good or didn't have the right ingredients or just didn't care. My recommendation is to avoid this place. I've been to a few Thai restaurants in Chino Hills, and this has been the worst so far. I still have a few left to try.
