I had a small gutter job (33') that I needed done before rain was due to arrive in 2 days. I sent requests out to several companies, only two replied with a quote. I chose California Gutterworks and was glad I did. Due to traffic and previously scheduled projects lasting longer than expected, we had to reschedule my small job. Communication was excellent and we agreed on a new date/time. Dan was punctual, had the right tools and material when he arrived, was done with the work in 2 hrs and was back on the road. The quality of the craftsmanship was top shelf. Dan was personable, professional, polite and had a pleasant demeanor. I strongly recommend California Gutterworks if you're in need of this type of work. On a side note, the topic of succulents came up as our yard is full of these. My wife happily cut some for Dan and ended up Face Timing with his wife to trade plant info. read more

Do not use. They did not install the gutters properly, resulting in more damage to my eaves and additional costs from another roofer. They did not return my phone calls and may be out of business now. read more

I provided detailed info re my needs using Yelp. I got an auto-generated response to call. I called and got NO response. I sent a tickler via Yelp and still got NO response. If the job wasn't right for them, they should have just let me know - I wasted days waiting for them. The next company was prompt and helpful. read more

Called to request an estimate on minor gutter repair and gutter clean out. I gave my information and was told they can give me a quote over the phone no problem. Then was told we'll call you back in an hour. I received no call back. I called the next day, no one answered I left all my information again. Never heard from them. It's been over a week. I called someone else for the work. Don't bother calling this company it's a waste of your time if you actually need work done. read more

Dan did an outstanding job replacing our old gutters! Dan also repaired dry rot on our chimney and part of the gutter trim. We are very pleased with the work he did. Dan is professional, polite and delivered excellent customer service. We highly recommend Dan! read more

Dan Dion was contracted to install gutter guards on my house last fall. At the time he convinced me to put two additional downspouts on my gutters, but it was not until it rained that I realized the new downspouts resulted in water collecting all around my foundation, flooding my backyard and causing all kinds of problems. I ended up spending over $1000 to have drainage redone into my backyard. The two new drain spouts because they were not finished at the bottom where the water discharges caused considerable damage, even loosening the cement foundation that my air conditioner sat on. How could a roof contractor not even warn me that this could be a possibility? Mr. Dion has let his BBB membership lapse or I would also be complaining to them. read more

We have a big oak in our backyard so getting the leaves out of gutters every fall is grueling! We decided to install gutter guards, had about 5-6 companies give us quotes. Eventually we decided to go with Dan for a couple of reasons: we like that he personally came to asess and also install them. He is supernice and knowledgeable. And not the least, we loved the product that he is using, Valor, which from our research it performes better in heavy rain downpour and seems very reliable. read more

We needed new gutters on just the front & side of our house. I called Ca. Gutterworks & Dan was out to look at the job within days. He said matching new gutters to the remaining existing gutters would not be an issue and he was right. He installed the new gutters & they matched perfectly. Dan did an outstanding job..couldn't be happier with his work. Highly recommend! read more

Lets start from the beginning... I called California Gutterworks to come out and give me an estimate for my house to get gutters ( I didn't have any ). Daniel came out, him and I got along, he told me that its just him and his business partner that do the installation and he doesn't have a crew, "it was a family business" and i agreed to have them install my gutters for the estimate price. He told me that they would be out the following Friday morning to install them. So i received a call Thursday evening saying that they would be out Friday afternoon (thanks for the change of schedule without my approval). So They show up Friday and its a person that i never met and his crew... So i didn't like the fact that i was lied to about the no crew part and it was going to be Daniel and his Business partner doing the install. I let them continue with the install. Well i ended up leaving for an appointment... Made the appointment thinking the gutter people would be at my house in the morning and they would be done before i left. So i came back to my roof shingles lifted up so bad that they are actually curving up where water wont flow into the gutters and white over spray on my house from them spray painting the downspouts white. (I have a greenish house). My Dog was throwing up and was just lethargic as hell Monday and i couldn't figure out why.... Tuesday i was about to take her to the vet and figured id check her water. I have a water lick on my water spigot so my dog can go drink water anytime she needs water... well for whatever reason California Gutterworks turned that water off to the water lick. I have called both Daniel and the office number with no response, Its been 2 weeks since i called.. I haven't paid them yet and didn't plan to until they fix the problems. if they don't then ill nock them down another star and do it myself. UPDATE: 1 month later, after many many phone calls, they Finlay came out to fix they're screw ups. Of course all they did is make excuses, tried to pass the blame on how my house was built (1960 home) and were very reluctant to apologize. I think ill still nock them down a star... read more

BE CAREFUL. The law states that a contractor may NOT ask for more than 10% of the job, or $1000, whichever is LESS. Dan told us he needed 50%. Very disturbing. We recommend avoiding this one. read more

They were very nice from the start. They worked with our schedule from the initial quote until the end. Initially the job was set for about 3 weeks out but he had an opening a week early which was great. It is summer and not like we were in a hurry but it was perfect for us. When Dan was going to be a few minutes late to start he messaged me to inform me which is always a plus. I can't tell you how many time people have been late without notifying me. Dan was very professional helpful when I sprung questions about gutter guards. He initially said it might be a two day job but he was able to get it done in one day. Throughout the day he and his assistant kept the job sight clean. They even cleaned up all the debris that was in the old gutters and put in our green waste bin. When he finished they made sure to cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I just had new gutter replaced on my tile room. Dan Dion and his team did excellent job removing the old gutters and installing new one. He offered different colors to match the rest of my house. Some installers only had one color. Team was very professional and courteous. If you want a great job go with California Gutters. Vern McConnell in Roseville California read more

Dan came out after 3 other bids and was the only one to give me a quote on the spot. All others took anywhere from 2 days to a week even after promising to have it the same day. He also gave sound advice on how to avoid replacing fascia board that was rotted out by adding a larger gutter both saving time and money. The end result was a far nicer custom gutter that solved both problems. Crews worked solid 10hrs both days to get the job done. He is a busy guy so his voicemail might be full but leave a text message and he'll get back to you. read more

Well it has rained a few times and I found two gutter cap/ends that were not caulked correctly, gutters leaking, drip drip drip. I called CA Gutterworks and I am still waiting to have the problem corrected. They scheduled to come out twice, once... Dan didn't show, ran out of daylite, office called back and rescheduled again for the next day but it rained, I have heard nothing since. That has been several weeks now so I guess they have forgotten about it. A rafter tail or two split by their installation as well. Going to take these guys down a star and fix the leak myself. I thought they cared but that's just until the check clears the bank I guess. read more

My home received new gutters all the way around on November 15th 2018. Later, after some heavy rain, I noticed that water was leaking out. I asked that Dan Dion and his crew fix a spot that didn't align properly and water was falling directly to the ground. Also, to adjust the in and out (wow) of the top outer lip of the gutter as it didn't look good when near the gutter. They came out in a reasonable time frame. The whole front gutter had to be removed, repaired and put back which was done by his workers. He also did very minor adjustment to the in and out. I noticed later that when put back up, several long screws did not go into the wood and buckled the rear of the gutter instead. I took photos and sent to him for review and repair. That was November 27, 2018 and has not repaired the problem. Have called numerous times and emailed numerous times. Dan called ONCE and indicated I was out of bounds for having him come out! The photo I sent twice clearly showed the problem. It is only after nearly 2 months that I have decided to write this review. Sad that there was no follow up! I no longer believe that he will do what is required. read more

This company was referred to me by a competitor - I left THREE messages for Lisa to call me back, and she never had the courtesy or kindness to do so. Maybe my job was too small or they don't need any business, but to not even return a phone call? They do not care about customers - my advice: Do NOT call them, do NOT try to do business with them. They do NOT care about customers. read more

I accepted their bid for some gutter repairs, but since it was a small job, they wanted to schedule me in between larger projects, so it took weeks and multiple phone calls to get a time scheduled. On the day of the job, they said they would arrive at noon or 1pm, but arrived at 5pm. After the work was done, we noticed they had not done the repair the way we had agreed, but just patched a leak. It took them 2 months to get me the invoice for the work and, when they did, they charged for the originally planned work, not the leak patch. Just all around poor business practices. Do not recommend. read more

Recently I found the gutters had fallen off my garage, I requested estimates from 3 companies I found on line. California Gutterworks, Inc. called me the next day and scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me for a free estimate... After 20 min with one of the owners I knew this local-family owned business was going to do my work. They promptly appeared on the day I booked to have the work done, they neatly removed the old gutters, fashioned seamless new gutters right in front of the house and installed them... they are great looking, the end caps are fantastic, and i have already experienced my 1st rain... the gutters are flawless... they also installed a leaf blocking system on my existing house gutters which looks exceptional. To top it all off, one of the owner/installers noticed i was without a downspout in a key location and provided me with one at no extra charge... And then they send me a "Thank-you" letter, this is how you do business! I highly recommend California Gutterworks, Inc. read more

I had been referred to California Gutter Works by a roofer I respected and had used them previously for my clients who needed repairs and had been very pleased. When I tried to contact them this year, i tried using the online "contact us" form but apparently no one is monitoring that. I called Dan directly and left two messages on his cell number. I called and spoke to him, texted him the information he requested, and then never heard back. I called the office and left a message. I called the office, spoke to the receptionist who said the appointment person was away from her desk, took all my information down, but then I never got a call back. I called again and was told they were booked WAY OUT. I told them this was not an emergency repair and would be happy being put in the schedule at their first opening. I was told I would have to be called back, gave my information, and never heard from staff. I called ONE LAST TIME as a favor to the person who had referred them and was put over to the schedule person's voice mail and have never gotten a call back. If the company has so much business they don't need mine, why couldn't they just tell me that to start with. My worry is that Dan has no idea how much business he is losing because of his terrible scheduling person, who is either incompetent or never there. What a shame! read more
