My experience with this office was extremely inconsistent. First, I was never proactively given receipts unless I asked, and when I finally requested records, some receipts were missing. The final billing breakdown also did not match the actual ledger. Even the $120 I paid at my first visit was missing from the final bill. On my first visit, I was told my tooth was cracked and needed extraction. I paid $120 just to be seen while I was still deciding whether to do the implant there. On my second visit, I had the extraction and paid $500. Because I wanted a whiter veneer shade, the doctor told me veneers needed to be done before the implant so the new tooth color could be matched properly. Their veneer price was too high, (The front desk showed me the veneers the doctor made for her, and her front teeth looks obvious, did not match the nearby teeth.) so I had my veneers done elsewhere. On my third visit, after my veneers were done at another office, I returned to remake the temporary denture. The doctor asked why I went elsewhere. I explained that I could not afford their veneer price. He then said he could not make my new tooth because OM2 was "too white" and told me to have the tooth made wherever I got my veneers done. He also said if I did veneers elsewhere, he might need to adjust the shade multiple times which happened before and did not want that trouble. I even offered to pay for remakes if needed, but he still refused and told me to get the denture made somewhere else and he would only install it. Then when I asked to at least make the temporary denture that day, he said he could not do that either. It means be careful If you have brighter teeth. After I left, I contacted another office, and they immediately told me they could make an OM2 temporary tooth. I went there for a scan. The next day, Dr. Sun's office suddenly called and said they actually could do OM2 after all, so I canceled the other office. On my fourth visit, I had a 5:00 appointment that I had confirmed multiple times. When I arrived on time, the front desk acted like I had no appointment and asked why I was there. The nurse had to remind her that I was the 5:00 patient. Then I was told the doctor had already left. That explained everything Why front desk lie. The doctor never came back in person for the shade discussion and told me over the phone to decide the color myself, even though this should have been done face to face. Later, when I called because I was worried about the shade match, the front desk told me the scanner could identify the color automatically. She lied again then why they asked me to choose the shade myself? When I said I wanted to cancel, her attitude suddenly changed and she told me to come in again so the doctor could see me. On my fifth visit, the doctor finally looked at the shade with me, but then again said he still could not do my final implant crown and that I should go elsewhere. At that point I decided not to continue treatment. They later agreed to refund part of my money, but the billing records were inconsistent and did not match each other. They should refund me 575. Overall, I felt that the office gave changing answers, handled color matching carelessly, failed to provide clear records, and repeatedly shifted blame to the patient instead of taking responsibility. read more

The workers here are not responsive and lying! Did teeth cleaning and took X-rays pictures the same day. When doctor came in he couldn't find the X-rays pictures I just took 10 to 15 mins ago, so he took a quick look of the X-rays pictures from last year. The doctor said it happens some time that the pictures are not showing up and they may be able to find it manually. Called the front desk after a few days and wanted to see if they are able to find my X-rays pictures of that day. The front desk responded- no, I did not even take any X-rays picture that day. But doctor checked your X-rays pictures from last year and everything seems fine. What????? Last year???????? It sounds like no one ever looked for those pictures and no one even cares. They changed the facts and told me I never took X-Ray pictures that day. My god! I'd understand if there was some issue with their system that made them unable to save the X-rays, but instead they tried to gaslight me and tell me they didn't take any. I feel like all of the employees--from the dentist to hygienist to the receptionist--don't care. read more

New patient, arrived on time for teeth cleaning and exam-X-rays. Took 2 hours from time I entered office until I was able to leave. Front desk, X-ray lady, and dental hygienist were all nice and friendly. Hygienist said to dentist I may have a cavity. Dentist did not explain any findings on X-ray, literally prompted me to leave his office and to reschedule for 6 months. I understand they're busy on Saturday, emergencies and probable overbooking, but if I have a dental issue (cavity) it's not too much to ask to have it explained to me and let me know what the plan is going forward. So is my cavity just supposed to keep getting bigger these 6 months and they hope I don't get an infection by the time I come back? Shame on this office. That was the last straw with the dentist's ambivalence. Do dentists take an oath like physicians do? Do no harm. Plaques everywhere saying top dentist of 2007. I came here 15 years too late and never again. Also the place looks big and clean, until I went to use the bathroom after sitting on the exam chair for an hour staring at the ceiling. They have a fancy warmed toilet seat that can clean your tush. However there's no paper towel, only air dryer like at a movie theater. Do you see air dryers used by surgeons before surgery or any general medical facility? No, paper/clean hand towels are used. The air in the bathroom contains all kinds of human excrements. Should not be using that air to dry hands. read more

Got three of my wisdom tooth took out by Dr. Sun within less than 5 minutes, 2 of them were inside of my gum which they informed me that I need some surgery, however, the whole procedure was quick and pain-free (YES PAIN-FREE). I am simply amazed by his professionalism, even after the numbing wear off I didn't take any painkiller cuz I don't feel anything. There's only a little bit of discomfort but totally bearable. Receptionist Ling Yi was very friendly and efficient, she brought me water and comfort me before the surgery because I was so nervous. Definitely recommend this place to everybody! read more

The first thing Dr. Sun asked me was why I need to have braces and said I should not have braces. I want to ask why you you become a dentist? People want to have braces for clear reasons. No need to ask!! I brought my family of 3 to have consultation and the doctor said it will take me about five years to do it without giving me a price quote or advices. I doubted do he have license for that. It is totally waste of anyone's time to go for a consultation in there. Dr. Sun is not willing to do anything and spent less than 2 mins on each of us. I will say he must be the worse dentist in Arcadia. Do let them keep your personal and insurance information! Not safe! Stay away from there. I will complain to American Dentist Association for his mis conduct, too. read more

Very cheap doctors. Compromising quality to increase their bottom line. Received a filling from Dr. Sun 6 moths ago and went back today to get my teeth cleaned and was informed that my filling broke. The receptionist (Yvette) said they would give me another filling for a discounted price. I asked her why they couldn't do the filling right the first time (6 months ago) and her response was that the doctors actually used cheaper material instead of porcelain which would help me out since the procedure would be cheaper. Why would someone, especially a professional dentist do this??? I didn't request for the dentist to compromise the quality on my dental work so I can come back 6 months later and get this fixed again!! Completely unacceptable by American business standards! My teeth cleaning was short and quick, poor quality. Once finished ,I asked the hygienist that cleaned my teeth to speak to Dr. Sun regarding a consultation for an implant. I figure she realized that Dr. Sun would need examine my teeth again and she knew the cleaning job she did was poor so she cleaned my teeth again prior to Dr. Sun examining. Poor quality and service. They did offer to do the filling again free of charge but I'd rather not do anymore dental work here. read more
