I have to give Caliber the maximum score because the quality of the work was amazing, they were cheaper by $360 than the closest competitor, they were honest and they were nice. I went to Caliber after I had damaged the hood, front bumper and the cross-bar of my 1998 Toyota Camry. I told Craig that I would be shopping around and that I wasn't sure that the car was worth the repair (it has 264,000 miles). He gave me an estimate of $1346 for the complete repair, and said that if the cross-bar was bent he'd bend it back for free. Then I went for estimates at two other places (Auto World Collision in Santa Clarita and Superior Auto Body in San Fernando); everyone I met was nice and more-or less said the same things. By the way, Superior is highly recommended on Craig's list; Caliber is new, so doesn't appear. The other places gave estimates about $320 more than Caliber, but both said that a bent cross-bar would increase the price by about $50. All three said that it was difficult to match the gold color, so it would not be exact, close but not perfect. I chose Caliber. They had the work done in 2 days. The match was perfect so far as my eyes could see. I don't see how any other place could have done a better job. Also, they told me that they did have to bend the cross-bar back (for free), which was clear from the damage to it. When I came to pay the bill they told me that the parts were $45 cheaper than expected, so they reduced the price by that amount. This tells me that they're honest. Then, when I looked at the car I could see that they had cleaned the outside and detailed the inside very nicely. I'm sure that this last thing was something normal, but it had value, made me feel like I had a new car again, and made me pleased that I had chosen to keep the car. They are the worst body shop that you ever will take your car to. They are professional thieves. They went ahead and automatically started repair on my car without any verbal or written consent. In matter affect I dropped my car for insurance to inspect and receive only estimate. I found my car fixed and they over charged my insurance. Also they forged my signature. Also I specifically asked them to not start repair on my car until I fully receive the check via the insurance company. This body shop practice unethical behaviors and ran by a male and female that are professional thieves. Best advice please don't get caught by their big name or there other 7 good reviews. read more

NEVER EVER GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They were incredibly slow, rude, and didn't know anything at all about my case. I needed a tiny rust repair on my windshield frame. It took them a week. They were non responsive & uncommunicative. Every single day I would call they couldn't give an answer or an estimate when the repairs were done, they would tell me they would call me back with an update a few hours later, and each and every time they never ever called when they said they would. All they did was transfer me from person to person when I did call, and each person only knew a piece of the case. They were rude, they were slow, and they were extremely untrustworthy. I can't trust a place who says they're going to do something & doesn't do it & gives me the run around each time I call for an update. I've never ever dealt with such poor customer service & poor craftsmanship. They were supposed to coordinate wth Safelite auto glass repair to give me a new windshield, and I get off the phone with Safelite to find out they never even called them to set up the glass repair. Two days were wasted because of this. I'm trapped in my house which is 10 miles from nearest grocery store and I haven't had any food for a week now because these guys are taking so long to do such a simple, simple repair. I needed a part, which I purchased from a dealership, installed on my car. The dealership quoted a labor cost of approximately $200 and they said they would need the car all day. Frustrated, I called Caliber, where I have had other vehicles repaired in the past when involved in accidents. They have always done exceptional work, their customer service is AMAZING, and their facility is extremely clean. In this particular instance, the Manager of their Valencia location, Craig, answered the phone when I called to inquire about appointment availability. I explained that I needed the part installed asap because my time off of work was limited. Even though their staff was already busy with other appointments, he made arrangements for me to stop bye and have the part installed the same day in a matter of minutes, while I waited. He literally dropped everything he was doing to help me personally. The car looks amazing, like I just drove it off the showroom floor. Caliber Collision takes the hassle of getting your car fixed and makes it as hassle-free as possible. The level of service they're able to provide is beyond what I could even ask for. For one, the employees I've dealt with are phenomenal. Caitlin is the one typically behind the front desk, happily handling all of the calls, paperwork, and questions. And she does it all with a smile. Garrett is the other employee I've had the privilege of dealing with on my visits. Garrett is about as genuine as they come, truly a nice guy with a sincere desire to help. I've brought my car in twice so far, and he's been happy to explain specifics to me, give realistic timeframe and cost estimates, and even was even able to take care of one minor repair right on the spot, in about an hour. On a more extensive repair I had, he also called me to update me throughout the repair process, and overall just went above and beyond to ensure I was a happy customer. This even included personally guarding my new personalized license plate at his desk while my bumper was being repaired, because I let him know I was worried that it might get scratched! One other cool thing about Caliber Collision is that they text you status updates while they have your car. Things like "your repair is 75% complete, and right on schedule to be completed on Friday." So cool! I've dealt with other body shops over the years, and none of them have done anything even close to this. I have no reason to go anywhere else when I need my car repaired. The damage wasn't too bad, but they made my ride look brand new again. The service was top quality, starting with Vanessa at the front desk and then being passed on the Garrett!! They provided me with a ride home when I dropped off, and picked me up when my ride was done. I was told my Yukon would be done in two weeks and it was!! I also received updates from start to finish. I recently was the victim of a hit and run in the Ralph's parking lot. Unfortunately it was with our new car. Someone hit the driver side door and damaged part of the rear door as well. I was so upset because our car is only 1 year old. I dealt with Joseph Hammond who is a Service Advisor at Caliber. He took excellent care of my car and when I picked it up, it looked new again! During the 12 days they had my car, I received text updates and every time I called Joe with a question or concern, he was available and able to put my mind at ease. I was referred to Caliber Collision through my insurance carrier, USAA, and I'm glad I was! They also partner with a rental car company so I got a free shuttle to pick up my rental car and I was able to drop off my rental at Caliber's location and they made sure it was returned to the rental company the same day. Had to get an estimate from this place two times because apparently they had no record of the first even though I was in there about a month before. It was very frustrating waiting for the employee to call me when to take it in when they had no record of it in the first place. Next, they told me to come in to turn my car in so once I came in the lady told me they had no record of my estimate!!! I had waited over a month just for them to tell me they didn't have what I needed. Then, the lady in the back came out and was very sassy with me and told me they did have my record! So basically the lady in the front and the back we're telling me completely different things. Me being an 18 year old was very uncomfortable when the lady in the back comes out and gives me a whole lot of attitude. Had my rear bumper and related parts fixed after being rear-ended. Noticed the paint on the back quarter panel didn't match rest of car (nothing to do with accident). Craig, the center manager, told me he could have it polished and would look good after I asked him to paint it. He not only turned down the paint job, but did the polishing for free. Amazing. When was the last time that happened to you? It looked fantastic, and now the whole car matches and looks wonderful. Most people won't have the same problem we had but I wanted to let everyone know how great Craig and everyone at Caliber Collision was. I bought my minivan in because the back seat was stuck in the down position. I originally bought my car to the dealer and after trying for only 5 minutes to get the seat up, the car dealer told me it would cost $750 to fix because the frame was broken. I took my van to Caliber Collision and told Craig what the dealer told me. Craig told me it would cost $531 to replace the frame but he would like to get the seat out to verify that the frame was really the problem. They worked on it for over an hour and discovered that the seat just had a loose wire. Caliber Collision fixed it and didn't even charge for the labor. read more

I had had body work done on a different car at a different Caliber location and so looked up if there was a location in my new town and was very happy there was. Their price quote came in under my insurance deductible, so they saved me the hassle of reporting my stupidity. Once the part came in, they got my car back looking new within a few hours. They made a very upsetting situation look like it never happened. I brought my car in for repair in early November, paid what was on my bill and went along my merry way. It is now mid February and I received a call asking for my $500 deductible - which apparently they did not bill me for - and stated that if I do not pay I will be sent to collections. Clearly, the error was theirs in not collecting the deductible while I was standing there with my credit card in hand FOUR MONTHS AGO yet NOT ONCE have they approach the situation from "We're sorry, due to our error...." The call firmly put the responsibility of non-payment on me "Mrs. H, your deductible payment is missing, we need it asap and if we don't get it by today we will submit the matter to collections." Wha...? Apparently lapses in procedures when the office manager is out on maternity leave is my fault. Appalling customer service. read more

Well, I had good and bad experiences with this company. I was in a pretty big accident in March and needed extensive body repair on my car. Caliber is a preferred shop with my insurance company, so after reading all of the good reviews I decided to take it here. Everyone was extremely friendly, the girls at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. It took about a month to get my car repaired, I figured it would be awhile since they pretty much had to replace the entire drivers side of the car. They kept me informed as to what was going on with my car and when it would be ready. Once they told me it was ready, I was so excited to finally get my car back!! I came to pick it up and while inspecting my car, I noticed my bumper had been scratched and dented and the weather stripping on my drivers side window was weathered and cracking. The manager looked at the pictures of my car and confirmed they had dented and scratched the bumper so they would repair that as well as the weather stripping. Although it was inconvenient, as long as they agreed to fix it I was ok with it, they even paid for my rental for 2 more days while they fixed their mistake. Once they were finished with the second fix, I came to pick my car up. One of the mechanics told me that he had noticed some corrosion around my battery, so he said he did something to clean it off, I found it odd that he was under my hood when I was there to have my bumper fixed, but didn't really think anything of it. The next day, my car wouldn't start!! I had to get a new battery. I didn't even bother calling Caliber about it because at that point I was just done with having to constantly deal with car issues. I can't prove they were the reason for my battery dying, but it was very coincidental that he said he did something to my battery and the next day the battery died. While they treated me very well, I think they definitely need to be more careful with people's cars so things like this don't happen in the future. read more

Wow, what can I say ?!!! My truck looks perfect, and although I didn't get to meet the men (or women ) who personally fixed my truck , I did have an awesome customer service experience with the staff that I did meet , particularly Caitlin , aka "the front desk queen ". She handled business like a boss and kept me informed on all the ins and outs of the process ( this being my first ever "accident" , although no fault of my own ). I can definitely say Caliber Collision on Anza Drive has truly Restored the Rhythm of My Life, because that little Chevy Cruz 4 cyl pile of (beep) rental from enterprise really messed up the nice rhythm I had going in my 5.7 liter V8 Tundra. Anyways , all joking aside, this team rocked it. They even vacuumed the inside and put a nice little plastic bootie over the steering wheel, almost like a hair cap that some people where in the shower to protect their perms or water sensitive hair. It was a nice touch. My only gripe would be that the complementary popcorn in the lobby had a bit too much salt, but hey what can you expect it's a body shop not a movie theater. I've been going to this facility for almost 20 years, when it used to be Valencia Coachworks, because of their attention to detail. I recently had some body work done (cash transaction, not insurance) on my Infinity M35 at Caliber and I could not believe the workmanship, it was simply outstanding. Caliber, I understand, services our local Mercedes dealer for all their body work, and it shows. Even though the job ended up being more than they originally planned, they honored their original estimate and did not cut corners. In fact, the opposite was true. Their philosophy is to do the job right -- they replaced a door panel instead of repairing it, and blended the paint beautifully, a wider swath left and right of the repair than estimated, all on their own accord. I've always been leery of body shops doing metallic paint work, especially of Infinity quality, because of very notable inconsistencies that can often turn out, but this paint job is simply beautiful - factory perfect. Outstanding job, great customer service, and a very competitive cash estimate! I highly recommend this body shop. read more

You know you have found a treasure when a Service Team sweats all the details, won't let loose of a car until it is just RIGHT! Minor scrapes, major dents, paint issues, re-sprays, fender replacements. You name it, I have been in and out of the Caliber shop repeatedly, and the experience is always "above and beyond." Joe Hammond takes care of my wife's car, treats her special. Craig Waring gets to deal with my car, my son's car, all the really nasty stuff. End of the day, the Caliber Team is just great people, great communication, fast service, fair pricing. I even jinked up the front bumper on my Mustang, thought I was looking at $1,000.00 worth of work. I dropped it off, head down, in the morning, picked it up later in the day, good as new. Cost me a wink and a smile as the fix was realitvely straightforward for this team of ultimate "car guys!" I would never take my vehicles anywhere else. Period. read more
