I was in need of a drop-in consult and Jaier and Nelson could not hae been more accomodating. They were not able to immediately accomodate my repair, but were happy to schedule an appointment the following day. Their techs are knowledgeable, fast and eager to help, most recently Roland with the touch up of my parking lot fender bender. I wholeheartedly recommend them to your consideration. Javier at Caliber Collisions in San Rafael was amazing to work with. After the King flood, our car situation was really stressful, but he helped talk with our insurance and explained the condition of the vehicle in a way that actually made sense. He walked us through all the paperwork and contracts clearly and made sure we understood everything before signing. We also had mold in the car from the heavy rain, and even though that wasn't a service they offer, he still pointed us in the right direction to get help. Car issues can be overwhelming, but Javier made the whole process so much easier. I'm really grateful for his help and highly recommend him! Ask for Javier!!!!! read more

My car was involved in an accident and I just want to rant about how great Caliber is. Not only did I get my car earlier than the expected date, my car was clean, smelled amazing, every detail was fixed, looked brand new, and simply everything was great with my car. They even put a paper protector over my floor mat so that I wouldn't get it dirty since it was raining this morning. I also want to shoutout Kelly for her amazing work. It was bright and early in the morning and I think I was her first customer. Kelly made the process so smooth and assuring. She's kind, honest, polite, organized and so much more. We cracked some jokes and truly made my experience a great one to remember. Thanks to her and the team/staff that helped me, I am happier than ever with my car. As we know, car struggles are very stressful, but I can assure you that when you work with caliber it's a weight off your shoulders. Thank you to everyone for their help! You guys are the best! read more

Caliber Collision - Literally amazing! And when I tell you the bumper was hanging on by a thread, I mean it. - Body Shops Near Me - San Rafael, California

Great service received from this repair facility. It all started with a first great interaction from Kelley to receiving good service from Javier and Nelson. It's not fun being in need of a body shop but it feels better knowing Caliber has your back. Thank you again Caliber. read more

Caliber Collision Repair went above and beyond the word Service. What more can I say, helpful, thorough and every so pleasant. I was in and out in no time and they did a superb job. I am a senior citizen and many times we get brushed off, not here. This should be your first choice for car repair. read more

If I could I would give Caliber Collision and Specifically Javier a 100 star rating. From start to finish, it was professional, efficient and probably one of the best customer service experiences I have received in a very long time. Javier took very good care of me and my car. He was prompt, thorough, listened, made sure I understood the process, the estimate, asked if I had any questions or concerns, and made sure I was comfortable with all of it. Not only that he was one of the smartest automobile guys - a true expert and engineer of the car and its mechanics. The technical stuff that you might not see or know about behind a dent like sensors and how they could have been effected by the dent. Very very reasonably priced also. AND my car was ready early by about four days!! AND the best part is they returned it cleaner than when I had purchased it from Toyota! Spotless as it was hand washed and detailed! It was truly one of the most impressive auto experiences I have ever had. Javier was amazing - calm, cool, collected, efficient, knowledgeable is an understatement and so concerned for the customer making sure I was happy with the work, understood the process and truly cared that I was happy with the work, estimate and entire experience. Matter of fact when I was there to pick up my car, a customer ahead of me said "This place is the best and so is Javier!!" - another happy customer. read more

Caliber Collision is amazing! I've had to take my car in for repairs 3 times in the last year, as a victim of 3 separate auto crimes. My regular repair shop wasn't available this time around so my insurance company connected me with Caliber. I wish I'd known about them sooner. Not only did they take my car in right away, but they were efficient and did a high quality job. Plus, my car looked like it was washed and detailed when I got it back. Top notch service from beginning to end. This is my new repair shop from now on! Thank you, Caliber! read more

On Tuesday, 9/17/2024, I had my car towed to Caliber Collision in San Rafael on Medway Rd., for the 3rd time. I heard and felt something dragging beneath my car as I was traveling down I-580 E. in Richmond. I had come from San Rafael and was on my way to Walnut Creek. Luckily my son was with me and when I pulled onto the freeway shoulder, he looked under the car and could see something dragging from underneath. When the AAA tow driver came he put my car on a flat bed and we headed back toward San Rafael. As we approached the bridge I contemplated where to have my car towed and of course the driver wanted to know where he was going. Then a light bulb went off! Of course, I thought, I would tow it to Caliber Collision. From my two previous experiences with them, I knew that they were a good, honest and reputable company. I called and spoke to Nelson Cruz, the general manager, told him what happened and asked if I could bring it to them to check out. He said I could. My oil had been changed one week prior at a local oil change business and evidently some bolts on the oil sump came loose which caused it to drag on the ground. Nelson, or one of the technicians replaced and tightened some of the bolts which made it drivable for now but told me it needed to be replaced and gave me an estimate. I thanked him and when I asked how much I owed, I was pleasantly surprised when he said there was no charge. I said good-bye then headed towards the SR Bridge for the second time that day to visit my friend who lives in an assisted nursing facility. Twice last year, in July and October, Caliber Collision repaired my damaged car due to thieves trying to steal it. The first time it happened I thumbed through the internet looking for a reputable place in San Rafael to take it to but the second time it happened I "knew" where to take it. That time they needed to keep it for a month due to the severity of the damage. They kept me updated on the progress of the repair and both times did a wonderful job. "I highly recommend CC and feel they are great mechanics, honest and that your car will be in good hands." The lady in the front office is extremely nice and there are always a couple of jars of snacks available on the counter which come in handy if you have to wait/or not wait for your car. When I was there the other day she offered me one of her delicious peanut butter cookies/w chocolate chips. Yummy! And I just happened to have some freshly baked peanut butter cookies of my own in the trunk of my car that I was taking to my friend. I gave her one of my cookies and we discussed our respective recipes and the differences in the texture our our cookies. Oh yeah, if you need to rent a car, Enterprise Car Rental is conveniently located diagonally across the street. read more

I had a very good experience with Caliber. I very much liked working with Henry, who communicated very well from start to finish. The repairs look very good and the car was washed at the end. They helped me get transportation when it was needed. I will not hesitate to go back to Caliber and to recommend them to others. read more

We just had our 2020 Toyota Highlander Limited repaired by Caliber for a fender bender. Caliber did a fabulous job. Not only replaced the fender and front bumper and headlight but changed the other headlight also. Both are now like new. Henry Lara was our service rep and kept us up to date. All completed in 7 days! Love these guys. USAA approved too. PS. The car was washed too!!!! read more

I can't thank Nelson enough for providing top service to my car. He initiated cleaning the scratches on the vehicle for free - something that would have cost a lot had I gone to a different body shop. I will definitely come back should I need to have my car fixed in the future. read more

I had some body work done recently that was delayed several days because they got the wrong part- twice. They also noted that my battery terminal was corroded so they had to change the battery but they didn't bother to clean the corrosion. Now I am not sure the battery needed replacing. When I called to ask about it, they said they hadn't charged me for the cleaning cause they hadn't done it. What kind of service is that? why point it out and then not fix it? read more

This midway shop was an unfogiveable NIGHTMARE - over a month to repair a single quarter panel to a Toyota SUV- the work was shoddy, parts missing, original estimate quadrupled over the month that they failed to communicate with me. Farmed out 3/4 of the work done. Recommended by Travelers Insur - Not my choice... an Utter Disaster-avoid like the plague. We are surrounded by Toyo dealerships in the SF-Marin area yet they insist on going for parts over 2 hours'drive away in Roseville! Delays Delays & more Delays! Avoid! read more

Unbelievably bad: Our insurance company insisted we go here instead of Crebassa. The car was in the north bay so it was supposed to go to San Rafael. After over a week of delays and poor communication, Caliber San Rafael decided they were too busy and sent it to their Pine street Walnut Creek branch. They took weeks to do the work, again with terrible communication. When we went to pick it up it was making a terrible noise. An engine mount was broken. It's hard to fathom how they didn't notice the noise and vibration. After another week of unreturned phone calls, they sent it to the dealer for repair. Apparently they can neither diagnose nor repair broken motor mounts. They just ignore them and hope for the best. We got it back and it still makes the noise. Today the wheel fell off. This is a 2016 Subaru Forester with 50,000 miles on it and they can't fix it. read more

I love Caliber Collison! I've used them before for a dents and they were fast, professional, friendly and did a PERFECT job! Today I popped over to see if they could help with fixing some scrapes along the front side fender of my car-I swiped it agains the garage door. Neslon, the general manager came out to look at the car and ended up getting some rubbing compound that took the white paint from the garage door off the car--He got 99.9% of it off. I'll get some of the compound and take the last tiny bit oof. It was AMAZING! He made the effort to not only clean up the car, but told me what to buy and suggested places to get the compound. PLUS he didn't charge me. This is THE place to go to if you need any body work. PLUS Enterprise car rental is right across the street if you have to leave your car. Everyone in the office is also friendly and helpful! read more

I had to have my windshield replaced on my RAV4 and had Caliber help with the process. Someone backed into my parked Kia Niro EV and damaged my front grill. My insurance company referred me to Caliber and it was a great referral. They were efficient, did a great job and treated me like an old, valued customer. And my car looks like new again. read more

Thanks to an unfortunate accident -- someone drove into the backend of my car at a red light -- I discovered Caliber through my insurance company. Anyway, after having received such good service from them I felt compelled to give them a good review (I'm a little surprised this is the first review). When coordinating with Kelly, Coleton, and Nelson, all of whom were super helpful it became clear Caliber cared about their customer service. My car was fixed in a timely manner and they did an excellent job with the repairs. I would certainly go back if I needed more work done down the road. read more

My sedan has been a bit unlucky. First getting creamed by a bus when it was parked and then another accident not my fault. Both times I had Caliber on Medway fix the car and they did a great job. Recently I took my sedan over a bumpy road and it hit bottom, knocking the bumper slightly off kilter on one seam. I took it to Caliber to see what it would cost for the minor repair. The manager looked at it and took it to the shop where they pushed the bumper back in place ( mostly) so it was hardly noticeable. They did this gratis! I did ask for a quote for the full fix which was very reasonable but I may also just leave it with the simple and free fix they did - if it stays in place. Surprising service and now I'm even more of a loyal customer! read more

Please don't go here!!! They will tamper with your vehicle and change other parts of your vehicle. When I left my car, it just needed a front bumper replacement and it turns out the the system settings were tampered, the computer settings of the car were changed, now my car is not as fast as before. If I could give this place zero stars I would most definitely do that, this place has no sense of care!!! My vehicle makes a weird noise when I turn on the radio and when driving, and I can't believe they messed with my brand new 2021 Subaru WRX STI!!! I just got this car!! I already filed a complaint to the BBB and going to take my car for inspection at a Subaru dealership to find out what is wrong with it. So sad to learn that you cannot trust people here!!! Please don't waste your time in leaving your vehicle here. This place committed fraud by knowingly tampering with my vehicle and change or alter other parts that were not related to the original service. Nelson seems to be dismissive about this and trust me it will not be the end of it. I am not sure if because I am Hispanic I don't deserve the same service as these other white folks but I am damn sure I will get to the bottom of this. You will hear from my lawyer. read more
