I was in a fender bender where another vehicle caused debris to fly into my passenger side front panel & headlight. State Farm recommended Alioto's for the repair and the experience was great from start to finish. Nick and Natalie provided professional, courteous, and friendly service. I asked about paying out of pocket to paint some scratches on my rear bumper unrelated to the State Farm claim, and Nick kindly provided a very reasonable quote as well as giving me tips on how to clean surface level scratches. read more

My parked Ford SUV was rear-ended. I took my veh. to Alioto's, they were extremely proffessional and coutrious. They completed the repairs in a timely maner and kept me informed as to the work process and the final repair was complete and looks great. read more

BEWARE! Something really bizzare happened at Allioto's today. When we came to pick up our car from repairs we were told to pay the balance for an additional fender damage not covered by the insurance provider. When we asked to check the work done first they claimed that both fenders (front and back) were damaged so they went ahead and fixed both. The only thing - we only had the rear fender damaged when the car was brought it. Their technician came out and showed us close-up detail photos of our car (or what they claimed was our car) with front and back fenders damaged. It was really bizzare because both my husband and I remember very well that only the rear fender was damaged. In addition, the insurance company USAA also took photos of all the damage when we brought the car to their office for an estimate in San Rafael. When we made our case at Allito's - both Stacey (front desk) and the technical dropped their story, looked uncomfortable and told us "it's ok, no need to pay the balance" and "we are not sure what happened". Really shocking. We don't know if they actually damaged the front fender during the repairs and quickly repaired it or if they took a photos of a different car with a damaged front fender and added it to our photos but either way it was super sketchy and odd. We were both left speechless and just left. Unacceptable! Please make sure you are paying for the service actually provided when at Alioto's. I never had this happened before (used them twice in the past) at that shop but I know their ownership and management changed recently. read more

A+, Gold Stars, Outstanding Service. Really QA is Best! Be prepared to be impressed. We asked our Mill Valley Tire specialist (Maligani) who the best auto body shop in Marin was... they send everybody to Quality Autobody! First of all, even with my fears of the unknown, I had the most delightful conversation with the owner, Joann...she is super bright, very efficient, and cordial! Julie (another super star) did a very thorough analysis of my entire car. She was very professional and kind. Also, she has a good sense of humor. My fears evaporated. Flash forward, and it was time to pick up my car: Amazing! Phenomenal job - flawless - beyond my wildest expectaions. They were: On time, on point, on estimate. I love family-owned companies that are honest, efficient, and so professional. read more

What a great shop! Easy to work with last minute schedule changes, fast and done early, left my car sparkling inside and out! My lil fiat looks so beautiful again thank you. read more

This is a great body shop. I have used them for two different cars and each time they do a great job. Very nice, trustworthy people. They won't try to oversell you. They'll do the right job for your needs. Highly recommended! read more

I had a terrible experience with Quality Autobody regarding customer service and the work on my car. Customer service: Dealing with the office here was a complete headache. The old lady they have working is nice but completely unable to get the information you need. They will never call you back and you have to call multiple times to get any update on your car. I was told they would have my car for a total of 1 week, at the end of the week I called to get a status update (which required 3 phone calls) and finally was told it would take longer. Multiple people in the office gave different estimates on how much longer it would take. The following week I started getting updates on the status of my car making me believe they didn't even start work on my car until then. Car work: The work on the car turned out decent but there we many signs of carlessness: The headliner of my car was left with stains in the interior that were not there before. There was visible overspray from the painting that was left on the exterior of the car. Overall I would avoid Quality Autobody both for your and the sake of your car. read more

I called to get a quote for some minor repairs on a car Before we sold it. Not only was the service KIND and helpful, they all went behind the ask to get the car parts in and repaired quickly when the car sold to a friend. This is a wonderful local gem! Will absolutely recommend and use again if needed!! Thank you !! read more

I have used their services several times in the past couple decades, and have always been pleased. They are fair, competent, honest and do a great job. The two women in the office, JoAnne and Julie, and helpful in all ways. Highly recommend! read more

Top notch! The absolute best. Completely honest and trustworthy. Quality Auto Body had previously done work on my 2015 Mazda 3. I was so pleased, that I went back today with my 2019 Mazda 3 that had some unsightly dents and scratches. Julie is the shop's manager and a complete professional. She looked at the work I thought would need to be done. She then took a rag with some industrial strength paint thinner and wiped away almost all the damage. I wouldn't have known the difference if Julie had given me a $2000 estimate to fix everything and kept my car for a few days. Instead, she was completely honest and forthright, wiped away the "damage" and sent me on my way. How's that for professionalism? If you need auto body repair in Marin, there's no place else to go but Quality Auto Body in Mill Valley! read more

The name says it all. I had the misfortune of finding my vehicle scratched, one day after work. Bastards.. Before filing a claim with my insurance, I called Quality Autobody to see what their process was. Joann, was extremely informative and talked me through the entire process, even helped answer questions about filing a claim. Throughout the duration of the repair I received updates at every stage. My vehicle was completed on time and the on site rental car pick-up and drop off made the entire repair process seamless! Highly recommend them and couldn't be happier. Thanks! read more

I want to give a BIG SHOUT-OUT to Quality Auto Body in Mill Valley: to Nick, Julie, and Joanne for going way above and beyond the usual level of repair service. If you are anywhere in Marin and have a collision/body work issue, go see these people - on La Goma in Mill Valley. Old-fashioned small town service from really nice and very competent people. The story: Five weeks ago this morning, my Red Rocket was towed off for repairs after someone tried to steal it from in front of my house. The good news is that they were unsuccessful, my insurance company didn't total the car, and they covered the repairs + a rental car. But FIVE WEEKS? It was towed to Marin Collision Center (don't go there) and they sat on this job for two weeks, telling me that they couldn't find the parts. I used The Google and found dozens of after-market parts. They continued to say they just couldn't find the parts but were really looking. In frustration I called my insurance agent (not the adjuster) and he recommended this little family-owned business in Mill Valley. For whatever reason, Nick - the shop manager, accepted the challenge. One hitch, though: is this is not the work they generally do. They found the parts: a door lock and an ignition switch, but with different keys. They could have just installed those parts and handed me two keys, in addition to my original key which would still open the passenger door and the hatch. Instead, they called a locksmith who took my key and retooled the door lock and the ignition switch to match my old key. They did not have to do that. Plus they gave it back to me washed and vacuumed. I hope that I don't need any collision repair work again, but if YOU do, go to Quality Auto Body in Mill Valley. read more

I can see 6 Stars for Quality Autobody, but I am only allowed to go to 5 stars here. I had a unique situation perhaps; child's car, needed repair NOW so it was drive-able. Child needed to get to work and couldn't do so without her side-view mirror. Julie moved so fast, I had to re-adjust my thinking in order to keep up. I was looking for a time and estimate, and she was writing up the paperwork and asking me for the key. Within a very short period of time, the car was drive-able again, and Julie and her team worked within a young adults budget. Waaaaay cool, and more than one could ask for. Quality Autobody will be my go-to place from now on for all of our vehicles. Thanks Julie, Joanne, and your behind-the-scenes team!!! XOXO read more

I had a problem with my new Toyota Prius Hatch not latching and the dealership worked on it for an hour and said they could not fix it and claimed it was a body problem not a mechanical problem (denying coverage under my platinum extended warranty and costing me 4 hours of phone calls, rides back and forth and still no solution). This busy body shop listened to my story and came out and took 30 seconds to confirm that the latch simply had some garden bark stuck inside and then fixed it right on the spot. No charge. We have used then many other times on our various dings and dents and they always take the time to try to provide us with a practical solution understanding that body work is costly! They are a valued Mill Valley Business and good neighbor!! THANK YOU read more

Wonderful family ran business. I was referred to Quality Auto Body from my cousin and they were honest, kind and helpful. They do truly do quality work and stand behind their work! My insurance company wanted me to go to one of their shops - so glad I knew that I had a choice on who to repair my car and went to Quality Auto Body because they had done such a great job on my cousins BMW. Talk to Nick, the owner - you will for sure be satisfied. read more

It's hard to put into words my appreciation for the job I asked Nick, the long time owner 1963, to do for me. I needed a bumper removed and install a new one on the back of my older RV.. I searched high and low for a compassionate ear to have this done. I was chasing possibilities for 100 miles until I asked Next Door. Up popped Quality Auto in my neighborhood. I brought him my rig and with an open face and heart he said I can probably do this for you and quoted me a price. He said bring it in next day. I have to admit the job was not as easy as we thought initially but he figured it out and I could not be happier. And he charged me the original price when it must have been double and I would have paid it. I told him if I ever need and hopefully I won't body work there is only his shop for his integrity and quality. read more

Cannot say enough about how happy I am with my service last week at Quality Autobody. I have gone a few times over the years and had similar positive experiences. Nick said that he could fix my bumper without replacing it, which I feel like no one ever recommends anymore. For a fraction of the price I am very satisfied. Fortunate to have businesses like his last so long in Mill Valley. read more

The tailgate on my 2021 Porsche Macan s was damaged and I also took the opportunity to get three of the wheel rims repainted. I could not be more pleased with the quality of the work and the care to details. My car was delivered in immaculate condition including a polishing of the entire vehicle. In addition Julie went above and beyond in arranging for all four rims to be repainted at no extra charge. Thank you for the outstanding service and outstanding workmanship - my Porsche looks like I just drove it off the dealership! read more

I was very lucky to be referred to Quality Autobody by my State Farm Insurance Company. A long time neighbor, I never had the necessity to visit this shop. Unfortunately, on the purchase of a new car, I had a little parking lot fender bender which required expert attention. My entire experience from first contact, to intake, to fix, and follow up was nothing short of delightful. The team was amazing and was able to assess "the damage" and set my bumper back into place, all done quickly and at no charge due to my State Farm association... I am grateful that there is such a kind and honest shop in my neighborhood, I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I went here a month ago for a repair estimate and had a great experience. The entire process was quick and easy.

I had a quarter panel repaired on my car. The repair itself was very well done. You can't tell there was any damage. However, there were pieces of tape left in the wheel well and adhesive was left on the edge of the wheel well. Also, there was a straight line of some sort of top coat left on the top of the car where it was taped off. The car was ready a few days before estimated so it may have been rushed. Customer service could use better communication of the process for those who are new to body work. Julie was abrupt and borderline rude in her approach. read more

I have used this autobody shop before and had challenges. This time is the last time. I took the car in so they could assess what needed to be done and order the part. I never heard from them once the part arrived - which they said they would call me. I set up a time to take the car in to get it installed. I did not hear back from them to find out when it would be ready, when I did they told me they ordered the wrong part. They said they would get back to me on what the new part would cost and when they could get it. Turns out it was $1000 more than the original part. There was a lack of coordination between the people working there, as well as in communicating with me. So, after two trips to Quality, I never was able to have the car repaired. I recommend you try somewhere else. read more

The people here were extremely dishonest and entirely disinterested in doing the body work and repairs properly. They were concerned with payment from the insurance company. It was astounding how freely they lied to us and how poorly done the work was. They used aftermarket parts on our car while ultimately damaged the catalytic converter. Very expensive. This was the worst repair experience ever. Shady, dishonest people and a repair manager pretended no not to k ow the parts were not meant for the car. But they were cheap, and saved the shop money. This kind of deception and lack of ethics is not an exception. It is their business practice. read more

Backing into my carport last weekend, I thought I had put the car in Park but it was in Reverse. I ended up taking off the passenger side rear view mirror. I went to Quality the next morning and both Joanne and Julie took great care of me. They ordered the part and Anthony installed it the next day. Very professional work at what was a reasonable cost. Highly recommended. RF read more

The paint job was good, however it took way too long. The older woman on the phone was completely checked out. They had my part for over a month and then another 2 weeks with my car. The roof now leaks and the car smells like mildew. Not really inclined to go back. They seemed overwhelmed anyhow so they don't need my business. Mill Valley, meh!? read more

I can't believe how rude the manager is! Maybe she was having a bad day or something, but I have never had someone at a body shop act so annoyed and agitated at asking basic questions or just in general. I don't even have to pay for my body work (my insurance is covering work needed because I was rear ended) but I don't want to go back because the manager was so unkind and rude to me. I am hoping that this review will reach the owner or a different manager and that maybe I can just have my work done on this managers day off (because I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and don't want to start all over with finding a new auto body shop with the baby due so soon) but if I can't find another person to work with, I am DEFINITELY going to go somewhere else. read more

I was referred to Quality Auto Body by a friend who also owns a Corvette. Since these cars are not made of metal they require special skills to make repairs meeting car-show standards. Quality's repairs were excellent, and absolutely undetectable. I am so pleased. My wife was involved in her very first accident this past week, and I will be taking her car to Quality for repairs. I moved here from Dallas. Drove 2000 miles without a hitch. Once I got here, I got a fender bender in my new driveway! My insurance company gave me a list, and I chose this one based on convenience to my home. I was soo lucky! I met Julie, and she totally took care of me. She made me an appt. right away. She told me which rental company to call (Enterprise). Once I got there, Julie looked at the damage, gave me the assessment of damage, and told me how much it would cost (not beyond my deductible) and called and did all the follow up with my insurance company. The car was ready on the day promised, and I was very happy with the entire experience. A customer for life. read more

I was totally clueless about what to with with a scrape I managed to get on the lower right side of my car. I stopped in at my car dealership, but didn't feel as if I had been given very good advice. When I stopped in at Quality Autobody to get their opinion, I felt as if I had met the "Mother Teresa's" of body work. They were helpful and honest - and sent me on my way with some minor swipes to remove some scratches - all at no charge. They also told me you can bring your car anywhere for an estimate - not just where your insurance company sends you to.
