Unfortunately, 2 of my cars were hit in the same month, a Toyota and an Audi. My insurance provided me with 3 locations of the Caliber Collision, none of which were in San Leandro (I live in San Leandro). Luckily, I know there are a few caliber collisions in San Leandro, so I informed my insurance. My insurance then referred me to go here. I am glad that I did. The staff were friendly and the process was very smooth. The inspector took pictures of the damage, walked around the car to ensure there was no damage I was unaware of, and was able to answer all the questions I had. They provided an update on the repair through text message every day and encouraged me to reach out to them if I had any questions (I didn't have to). When I go to pick up my cars, they are clean, shiny, and damage-free. The inspector explained to me what they did to repair the damage and assured me that I can reach out to him if I'm not satisfied (with the color, the repair, etc.). First of all, shout out to Elisa and Bianca for making my experience as painless as possible. I was in an accident, and my insurance recommended Caliber Collision as the repair shop as they are one of their partners. Luckily for me, the person who hit me also had the same insurance. After getting that claim going, I dropped off my car to Caliber. They were able to contact Enterprise and have them pick me up to get a rental car. Elisa was my service provider and very communicative with me. There was a hiccup with the other person's adjuster, but we were able to get that on track. After that, it was smooth sailing. Elisa called me with progress reports every few days to let me know where they were in the repair process. When the repair was complete (or so we thought), returning the rental car was seamless as they took possession of it to return while I got my vehicle back. There was a hiccup with the sonar sensors that took an extra day, but Elisa and Bianca ensured me everything would be taken care of. Their customer service is immeasurable. Caliber Collision did SUCH a great job on my vehicle and were extremely quick, communicative, kind, and followed up with me with care and professionalism. My car was crushed during the Spring storms and I thought there was no way it wouldn't be totaled, but Caliber worked some magic and it's back to running like new. I have a Mini Cooper, which can be notoriously difficult to fix outside of specialty shops, and they got my car parts quickly, supported with my rental car and insurance, and went above and beyond to get me back on the road safely as soon as possible. Even though we were masked up, the gentleman that helped me was super professional, polite, and very thorough and it came through even though we couldn't really see each other's faces. He guided me through the process, I was consistently kept up to date with daily text messages and phone calls. My car was done exactly the day he said it would be, and it came out great, they did a really awesome job. I think I have to get the rest of the car detailed just to match the work they did, lol!! I will never take my car to this place ever again. I was the victim of the Honda/Kia break-ins. Ended up bringing my car into this place. Due to the Honda/Kia break-ins - parts were going to take super long to get to Caliber Collision....which I TOTALLY understand. Caliber said that they would give me updates throughout the process but never did. I literally had to call them every week for updates. It ended up taking about 6 weeks. I finally get the car back. Upon entering the vehicle, it was COVERED in tons of dust and dirt. Mind you, I checked my vehicle when the cops finally found it, there was NO dust/dirt. My vehicle also had a weird smell - it smelled like a minor smell of urine masked by a cleaning agent. I thought that perhaps it was just the cleaner and would air itself out eventually. I took my car home. The VERY next day I step into my car...it smells of major animal urine. I was disgusted. I wiped everything down (including the dirt) and took it back. Through the lady at the front desk, the sales rep "apologized because he didn't know the car smelled like that". The lady at the front is super nice, she's the only shining light at this place. Her and myself checked the car and she even smelled it. She confirmed the car wasn't even cleaned correctly by Caliber. Mind you there were still minor scratches and dings from the accident that weren't touched. We noted these. So - they took the car back and gave a deep cleaning, actually did a good job. Of course, they always promise that they'll (keep you updated and get back to you) but that never happens. Finally got the car back like 2 to 3 weeks later. Everything is looking good and smelling good for the most part. Nothing was said to me about the additional dings and such which were never fixed. At this point - I didn't even care - just wanted my car back. A couple months later I opened up my hood for the first time and noticed the cover on some of the wires was STILL missing. I had clearly taken a picture of this when the accident happened and sent to my insurance a few months prior. So - I drive the car BACK to Caliber. Told the front desk lady (she's super nice) that the cover was never replaced. She took pictures and stated that she would speak with the rep. A week went by and I heard nothing - so I called. Caliber told me they would have the cover delivered to them in two weeks and would call if there were any changes, this was July 11th, 2023. I heard nothing for over a month, so called back on August 21st, 2023. I was told they would "call me back" (which again - they never do lol). It is now September 7th, 2023 and I haven't' heard anything - just called, no answer. I will NEVER take my car back to this place. read more

My name is Howard and I have had the unfortunate and fortunate reasons to come to Caliber Collision. Unfortunately my cars keep getting hit, but fortunately the Techs at Caliber have gotten my cars fixed as if they were never damaged. They do very quality and very efficient work. I have been coming to them for over 7 years and will keep coming back when needed. Today the manager, who is a very squared away individual and coming from myself, a 23 year retired US Army Command Sergeants Major, trust me I don't say that about many. Anyways he is installing for free a carbon fiber spoiler that I purchased off eBay on my 2019 Nissan Maxima. Of course I want to pay them for their work, but he said no, we will do that for you for no charge. In this time of COVID-19, I must say I really appreciate him doing that for me. A true blessing!!! I went out of town and returned to my car missing its catalytic converter! I had my car towed to Caliber Collision on 139th, dropped the keys in the after hours box with my contact information, and got a call the next business day. The national theft of the part meant an uncertain back order. AND the friendly, flexible team at Caliber Collision allowed me to keep my car there for free (no storage fee) as we waited...and waited...and waited for the catalytic converter. Since I went through my car insurance company to pay for the repair, I was getting updates from two places: (1) Caliber Collision and (2) my insurance. My insurance company had three different people contacting me, spoke condescendingly to me, and provided conflicting information with each call. In contrast, Caliber Collision provided ONE point of contact (Mike) who was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, informative, and consistent!! Caliber Collision made this very unsettling experience quite bearable. Then, when I picked up my car, Mike and the Manager resolved a concern WITHOUT HESITATION!!! I couldn't find the business card that was giving to me back in July of 2022. It has the GM Nick Barrios's name and the receptionist Vianca Carta's name. I go through my stuff and found the information. I have to write this review because the GM made my life easier. I appreciated this Caliber Collision, they deserved a five star. I would recommend this Caliber to anyone. I don't want to jinx myself but if I need to get my car fix I will go there. My car was rare ended. The first time that I brought my car into Caliber Collision to get it estimate. The estimate of my car came out to be $270. On July 7,2022. It's my second time I brought my car in to Caliber Collision again to get my bumper fix. After I leave my car with them. I was driven to the Enterprise rental to pick up my rental car. But because my drivers license has expired. I was not able to rent a car. One of staff gave me a ride back to Caliber Collision. And the receptionist Vianca was outside. She was getting ready to have someone to bring my car out to me. We were talking and I told her I was not able to get my rental car I guess I have to reschedule to bring my car back when I get my license renewal. Then she say wait maybe I could talk to my GM Nick Barrios to see if there's anything he could help you with. So then GM Nick Barrios came out and ask me do I have time to wait. If I do he could help buff my bumper. It will take 10 to 20 minutes. So I agreed to wait and let him help me. After they are done with my car looks like new. So I ask how much do I pay? His response is no you don't have to pay just help put a good review. I answered him I will! The receptionist Vianca Carta is very friendly and very nice to me and welling to help! They were very good customer service! What is more important is what he did not only help save me a trip and money! He makes my life easier is because I have a elder mom that is disabled, has dementia, and also schizophrenia. It was very hard for me to leave. Workers were friendly and helpful. They made sure to meet my request for OEM and quality tires from the insurance company. However whoever they contract to mount wheels and tires does not do quality work. Car got a flat the next day after return due to valve stem not installed correctly. Same goes for their tint contractor. Giant bubble on the window. Called to let them know and they never followed up.
