The front desk girls, the mechanics, Roxanne and her team, including the front desk girls I forgot their name, but they all deserve Recognition they are so wonderful. They helped me in a really hard time of my life when I got into an accident they went above and beyond for customer service and patience. Caliber Collision did a great job and made my car look like new! I went through with them following an accident in the parking lot where someone swiped my car as they backed out. They were very friendly from the initial estimate to the very end. All of them there know that the customers coming in are already stressed out dealing with the whole ordeal of being involved in a accident and do their best to make the process stress free. Billy who helped me was very knowledgeable and gave me updates as the car went through the repair process. When he gives a date on when the car is ready, he will do his best to make sure of it! And he did, even staying a bit after closing to make sure I got it. Caliber also gave me a free ride to where I had to go after I dropped the car off which was very nice. Went to Caliber on Miramar Road last Monday March 23 because my spoiler on my Toyota Corolla SE 2025 was hit and I thought it was just a scratch and filed an insurance claim. Caliber found out that not only was the spoiler scratched and cracked but the trunk had been damaged also. Caliber fixed in no time flat and completed the work today March 27. He's been at Caliber for 13 years and he really knows his stuff. Sergio at the front desk was incredibly helpful too. I was able to get in quickly for a quote, and drop the car off for repair same day! Alberto was able to get my car repaired ahead of schedule in less than 1 week! He and the team really went above and beyond for me. I am super happy with the result, the bumper a perfect match - like new. They were in communication with me all week with updates, and reminded me to pick up my car so I wouldn't have to pay longer for my rental. Neighbor hit my car and was paying out of pocket. When I explained this the receptionist paused... and gave me the "uh... Ok..." response. I don't understand why she seemed reluctant to go through with the repair, especially since I was paying in full, up front (before repairs were made). Maybe they get more from Insurance companies than private repairs? Got my car back, with a couple added fees and truthfully... I was shocked they would let my car roll out with paint that didn't match, and after a bill of almost $2000. They did however say though that they have a lifetime guarantee. In fairness, I'm waiting a couple months to see if the paint will eventually fade to match. But I will only be going back to hold this multimillion dollar company accountable for their work. Customer service was ehhh... quality of work was ehhh... the guy who gave me back my car was SUPER cool but I think even he saw the quality of the body work and made sure I knew I could bring my car back. I even filled out the online survey after pick-up after and let them know I was not satisfied... crickets... Again in fairness, I waited 5 days since filling out the survey before making this post and still no contact, nor a "we are sorry you weren't satisfied" bounce back email... nada. No concern on how they could make my visit a better overall experience. They got paid, so I can see how they feel their end is done. (Minus 1 star) Price for quality of work (Minus 1 Star) Drop off experience with receptionist (Minis 1 Star) I guess I expected more from such a big company. Would not recommend. Started off with poor customer service in the form of rudeness and followed up with just all around shady business. The rep lied to me and my questions numerous times telling my insurance company and I that they replaced multiple parts that they did not replace, just painting over dents and cracks in the paint thinking I would not be able to tell. The disrespect was really unbelievable, did he really think I would not be able to notice the same exact stains and scratches on the parts that were supposedly replaced? Caliber collision's lies drove the price of my deductible up and the poor repair job took so long that I could not afford to have them fix it again. So when my new (used 2004 Tundra) truck needed a paint job due to some blistering, CC was one of 3 estimates I got. I was glad when they came in the lowest, if only by a small amount. Don't take your car to Caliber Collision on Miramar Rd. Brought our car in last Friday. Didn't seem busy. One client came while I was there. Pictures promptly taken, and said I'd get an estimate by end of day. Nothing. Called Monday. They said estimator stepped out, but would send me something Monday night. Called Tuesday. Rep apologized and said someone would call in an hour. An hour later, I called and spoke with the Caliber Call Center. _They_ were kept on hold for 15 minutes before Miramar office hung up on them. Call center called several times and was hung up on each time. Rep said they would report poor customer service to Miramar office general manager. Finally, spoke with someone at Miramar office. They said three messages were on estimator's desk. No ETA for the estimate. Went to the Caliber Collision on Dagett instead. Prompt service and good setting of customer expectation. read more

An auto place that I went to told me that I had a loose bumper. I took it to Caliber Collision to have it inspected. They went above and beyond in trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. They found out that it was not the bumper but it was the control arm and bushings. Had an abysmal experience here. It took this shop 3 tries to get a basic paint match on a front panel, replacement of 2 doors and paint, and attachment of a trim piece correct. The first time the car was returned to me, it was laughably poorly repaired - there were multiple paint runs plainly visible to the naked eye from many feet away, a major trim piece was hanging down (they hadn't reattached a clip well and it had fallen off, nowhere to be found) and our rear door was not aligned. I highlighted everything nicely enough and required them to fix it. The second time it was returned and there was still a fairly bad paint run. Again, back to the paint shop but it just "needed a" 15 minute buff. So I asked myself the reason for their work being so poor - sure, it can come down to one employee. Or, their volume is so high, they just turn cars back knowing they aren't perfect knowing 80% of customers won't inspect them closely enough or, maybe they don't care. I don't expect perfection in body shop work, and certainly not on my non-high-$$$ vehicle. But the first two times the car was displayed as done were very poor. Either way, in combination with the surly front office, I'll never be giving this location, or Caliber, my business in the future. You have been warned. Massive waste of my time driving back and forth TWICE. read more

It takes a very special person to hit a car that is parked in a driveway. Seriously!! Unfortunately for me, my car was the one that was hit. My heart dropped to my stomach when I found out as my car had only been 1.5 years old (brand new)! After what seemed like a week of coaxing the neighbor for his car insurance information (he wanted to do it under the table in cash), we finally got his information and put the claim in with his insurance company. We were provided with a "list" of authorized auto repair shops. After some research, my significant other chose Caliber Collision due to its positive Yelp reviews. My significant other brought my car into the shop to have it fixed. Caliber Collision had to order parts and gave us a timeline of 2 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks later, my significant other brought in my car again. 3 days later, my car was picked up (like new). Yea! What I learned from this experience: 1) Trust Your Gut - always get the other party's insurance information no matter if they offer to pay cash 2) Good thing I trusted my gut - the initial estimate was $1400 to fix; however, when the parts came in, Caliber Collision realized some additional work needed to be done (when they peeked under the hood - so to speak). The owner offered an email to resolve my previous issues. However, they only responded to my email once and never followed up in how they plan on fixing thr issues. In the meantime, I started finding more parts of the car that were not installed probably. Today at my appointment I was told they are no longer an approved estimator with State Farm. My option is to leave the car and wait until State Farm can send an estimator or go to an approved auto body location. The employee informed that they knew of this since at least last week due to other customers. I was not notified (no call, no voice mail). When I got the car back, there was a huge scratch on my hood, that wasn't there before. They tried to claim it was brought in that way. But it wasn't. They marked it fixed 2 weeks from then on the dot and called me to tell me that they would need a few more days. 2 weeks later I was finally able to get my car only to notice that there were strange noises coming from the engine. I was told that it wasn't part of the accident, and they refused to do any diagnosis to prove their claim. I've since been getting calls asking for good reviews. I really really REALLY wanted to like these guys. They were referred by a fellow Yelper which is a plus right off the bat. However, when the going gets tough, Caliber Collision goes the other way and gives up! I first brought my car here a few years ago after having some major front end damage. When I pulled in, the manager greeted me out front. Not that he was there specifically to do so, but he appeared sincere when looking at the damage and asked if everyone was ok after the incident. He brought me inside to check in and await my service advisor. I met Albie, who was great. He took a quick look and gave me a timeline of what to expect in the coming days. He was in constant communication throughout the process, even when his team accidentally cracked the windshield and were to replace it. When the car was finished, this is when the problems started to occur and I had to take hours and days to return to get things taken care of, but some never were corrected. I was told they wanted to car to be back in it's original condition prior to the accident and all work and parts were under warranty. There was some finishing material left under the hood. Minor mistake and quickly taken care of. The driver side door was affected in the accident. When I got the car back, the wind noise was noticeably louder than before. I asked about it and the technician couldn't and wouldn't accept the wind noise as being any different. Nothing was done. The radio had a feature that when someone texted, the car audio system could read the text aloud to you so not to become distracted while driving. This feature didn't work. I brought it back on three separate occasions to have them work on it. Never got it to work. To this day, these items still aren't working. Fast forward to today, I had an issue with the cooling system, which they replaced various components including the radiator. My car broke down and had to be towed here since I thought the warranty would still be in effect. The manager, Adrian, greeted me warmly and wanted to see what they could do. After running a scanner, getting codes he wasn't familiar with and a quick visual of the car, he said based on the lapsed time and seeing that the front end has been damaged, any warranty likely wouldn't be in effect. Now i'll admit, I've scrapped a few high curbs, but any damage would not have affected the radiator to the point that would cause a leak. Throughout my visit, he tried to push off any damage to another mechanic and why they didn't notice and mention/ repair it. When I was having my car towed to another location for repairs, The driver of the towing company advised that he was there and ready to load my car. I called the office and spoke to America to ask if she could hand the key to the driver so he didn't have to wait for me, but I'd be there in about 5 minutes. She said she'd "take care of it". When I arrived, the driver was still in his truck waiting for me and the key. I walked in and spoke to America. The key was sitting on the desk. It appears Caliber is on point when they are going to get paid. They have a lot of business which I'm sure is all insurance generated. But when it comes to getting details taken care of, they dropped the ball in this case, every step of the way. Since then, I've spoken to other mechanics that asked why I didn't take it back to Caliber to have the work done under warranty. I mentioned what the manager said, and they all scoffed! "What good is a warranty if it's not honored" is what I was told. I echoed that same thing. The insurance company paid them well for work that was unfinished and unfulfilled based on their statement of getting the car back to it's original condition prior to the accident. NIGHTMARE of a shop. Actual nightmare. I warn anyone who needs their car fixed to RUN in the other direction. This place is so sketchy, I cannot imagine if I brought my car in for anything that was not a superficial fix. When I first brought my car into them in March, it was managed by David. He was great in giving me updates but he left. After that my car stayed in the shop for a month. During that time they said they couldn't get the correct bumper or light in so we had to come get the car and bring it back because we couldn't afford to continue renting a car. We dropped it off for the second time and when we returned, they had put on a used bumper so paint was missing and there were black marks in the corners. I noticed this right away and wondered how their technicians could've left the car looking like that. I asked for the manager Belinda who agreed they needed to correct it. They put us in a rental (which was a nightmare getting because we learned that Caliber has not been paying their bills just to add to their sketchiness). When we came back to get the car THE THIRD TIME, the bumper looked exactly the same. They didn't fix anything. Belinda then explained that they were going to have to ask my insurance to bill for a new bumper which my insurance approved. Dropped the car off for a FOURTH TIME only to get it back with the same bumper and some blotchy paint over the parts that are messed up. They will bill your insurance and take the money and leave your car looking like sh**. Total scam. This was the worst experience I've ever had. TERRIBLE work, TERRIBLE management. In the end I gave up bc I can't spend the rest of my life trying to get it fixed. DO NOT bring your car here. He's the deal. The Miramar location is great ***IF*** they do 100% of the repairs. I've had lots of stuff repaired by them and they always have done a great job. So, if you have an *American* car this place is great. If you have an European car then avoid Caliber. They send European cars to their European place in Escondido and those people are ***AWFUL***. It was my first time getting my car fixed due to a car accident so I had no idea what to expect or how the process worked. I was told by the service advisor that my car will be washed because they "like to return it nice and clean". I picked up my car from the repair shop and got home to realize that my car was not washed. I was disappointed but did not complain. I emailed to same service advisor and got an appointment to have my car washed the next day at 11:00 AM. I arrived at 11:10 AM and the only worker there was washing another car. At 11:20 AM, he took my car and put it in the wash area. I waited for about 10 minutes, then a woman came out and told me if I could come back in 1 hour because the guy was going to lunch. I snapped. She said that I was 30 minutes late. I said that they were 1 day late because it should have been washed before I picked it up. We argued back and forth during which she said that it was washed. That's when I lost it and yelled at her. The service manager and I know that it was not washed and the car was obviously dirty. I left angry and on bad terms with my dirty car. The people I dealt with at this company were mostly nice, especially the regional manager (Kathy) who had been helpful. I should have kept my cool and called her instead. I feel bad about the whole thing and regret my behavior. Rating would be better if not for this clash, my wasted time and my car still dirty. read more
