Absolutely amazing customer service - I'm so grateful for this shop! About 7 weeks ago, I was in a car accident. I initially took my car to a different shop, and the mechanic there assured me he would handle everything -- from working with my insurance to making my car look brand new. Weeks went by (5-6 weeks), and every time I called to check in, he kept saying he was "taking care of it." Eventually, I contacted my insurance directly -- only to find out they had never even heard from the shop. My car had just been sitting there all that time, untouched. I was beyond stressed and had no idea what to do next. That's when I called Caliber Collision and spoke with Celina. Within 20 minutes, she had already contacted my insurance, got all the information she needed, and even arranged a tow truck to get my car out of the first shop. She was so on top of it, kind, and made me feel like she genuinely cared. This shop did more for me in 2 days than the other shop did in 6 weeks. I can't express how thankful I am that I found them. 1 Star -- Extremely Disappointed with Caliber Collision I had a horrible experience with Caliber Collision and would not recommend them to anyone. They were far more concerned about their "turnaround time" than actually repairing my vehicle properly. They kept aggressively pushing me to pick up my car after 5 PM on a Friday -- clearly so I wouldn't be able to inspect the work or come back to complain until Monday if there were issues. I specifically asked them to save and reinstall my aftermarket parts. They agreed -- then broke them, replaced them with lower quality parts, and now claim they "can't contact" the shop I bought them from. One phone call on my end and the shop immediately confirmed Caliber never contacted them and provided me an invoice. So that was a lie. The estimator was also extremely pushy about my rental. She went behind my back and told Enterprise my car was finished when it wasn't, and said I'd be returning the rental Friday at 5 PM -- without my confirmation. I work past 5 PM. Enterprise told me it was "out of their hands" because Caliber reported the car done and that I would be responsible if insurance didn't approve the rental over the weekend. Because of their misinformation, I had to leave work early just to pick up my car -- only to find out the repairs weren't even finished. Then on Monday I was told it was done, but that I now needed to personally contact the aftermarket shop, buy new parts myself, and wait for insurance reimbursement. Meanwhile, they kept pressuring me to return the rental saying it wasn't approved -- which was also false. When I contacted my adjuster, she confirmed the rental WAS covered because Caliber was still working on my suspension... even though they were telling me the car was "ready." This shop has been dishonest, disorganized, and unprofessional. They caused unnecessary stress, wasted my time, mishandled my vehicle, and tried to rush me into accepting incomplete and subpar work. The rental I received went there to drop off and pick up in a seamless and efficient process. Central location but only real complaint is they are in a busy street with street parking so no real safe way for you to inspect the cars without being in the street, not sure how they can fix that but that is a bit dangerous. Took my car here for a rear bumper repair. Within 200 miles, the bumper started sagging again in the exact same area. I later found out they used an aftermarket bumper -- something I was never clearly told or given a choice about, even though I paid most of the cost out of pocket. I've been driving for 11 years with a clean record and have never been at fault in a wreck -- I would absolutely know if I hit something. When I brought it back, they denied responsibility and brushed it off. I've since filed complaints with the BBB and California BAR. They were flexible, working with my schedule, and quick to get my insurance an estimate! My estimator Elizabeth was great, easy to work with and kept me updated via texts every step of the way. My car was fixed in a timely manner, their tech is quick and precise, as we waited on parts to arrive. Ashley, their detailer, made my car look like new after repairs were finished. I only had the car two months and wanted it to look how I just bought it! I was very happy with the results and quick work done by everyone. BEWARE.... Front end damage to our new Honda that needed repaired. Made an appointment and took the car to Caliber on 10th Street for an estimate. They provided an estimate on the spot. Two weeks later I took the car back to Caliber and asked for an updated estimate because we found some small scratches on the car that were not included. I was told that an estimate would be emailed shortly. I waited for several days and called again regarding the estimate. I was told that the estimate was already emailed. Mistakes happen. After several hours I finally got an updated email. I compared the two estimates and found that all the labor charges for the repairs were higher on the new estimate, which obviously made the first estimate higher. Then adding a few scratches to the estimate was almost the same amount as the major repairs that were needed to the front bumper. The estimate went from approx. $3500 to approx. $6500. Wow. I called and questioned the estimate and was told that someone would get back to me. It's been three weeks and no response. Good to know. I could not trust Caliber Collision at this point anyway. I'll take my business to a professional autobody shop. Be careful. Get more than one estimate. read more

The worst experience ever! I would not recommend it's like they TRY and fix one thing and break others trying to fix something they had my car for weeks then said it was ready I returned my rental and then went to pick up my car the paint job was a mess, the warning lights on my dash came on to tell me the sensors in the bumper they replaced are not working I spoke to the manager Nd they told me I do not have that feature!! I returned 4-5 more times trying to get issues fixed and I'm done the manager is so rude I'm contraction my insurance company and letting them figure this out 10/10 DO NOT recommend using this place!!! read more

*UPDATE* So I emailed all my info to the person that responded to this review and they never got in contact with me. I took my Mini Cooper to get fix after a rear end accident in September. My bumper and hatchback needed to be replaced among other things. When I picked my car up the lady there and a shop guy was out at my car and trying to paint over a gash they put on my brand new bumper. I asked what that was on my bumper and rubbed my finger across it and got wet paint on my finger. They tried to cover it up and not tell me but it was very obvious. They scratched up my new hatchback in several places on the inside and also didn't fully paint 2 sections of the inside of my hatchback. Also my rear window(that they replaced) defrost doesn't work and I had a reverse light out that is in my bumper. I took my car back to them to get all this fixed and telling them due to work I would need a replacement car while this work was being done. I had a rental car from my insurance when they were fixing my car so I shouldn't be out money renting a car since they didn't do their job right in the beginning. They told me they would call me and get me in the first week of Jan and I am still waiting for them to take care of me. Extremely frustrating!! read more

Fantastic service and communication throughout the process of getting our car repaired after my elderly Mom was rear-ended. They took great care of her during the short waits, coordinated flawlessly with insurance, kept us up to date on every new development, and even saved us from having to coordinate our rental car return. Took my car in for repairs Feb 2022. Repairs not finished. Parts to repair the vehicle were delayed. Caliber told me to take my car and they will call me when the parts came in. Fast forward to October 2022 still no word from caliber. When I filed a complaint and to my service writer I was told that the parts were still unavailable. I called my local dealership and found out the parts were very much available. It's now January 2023, they installed the new parts however the programming is completely off and I have to take it in for a third time to get repairs! read more

Hands down the very worst. My vehicle was towed to the downtown Shop, and there it was looked over. Then it was transferred to the other shop on Stratus way in Modesto. The downtown office lost the key to my truck. Worst part. It was the key my mother gave to me when she bought it for me. Ans she has passed on. But, they did re-key and gave me a spare. There word. or there warranty problems are horrible. I know. I just got the worst of that company. Horrible customer satisfaction, horrible communicating. Very disappointed!!! I called 2 different Calibers to schedule an appointment for my daughter's vehicle. I wanted to schedule an appointment and was told by one young lady who asked if it was being towed or driven? I said towed to only be told they are only accepting cars that are driven in. I responded the only reason I'm having it towed is to ensure the front bumper doesn't come completely loose from the car. Unfortunately they weren't able to accept the vehicle. The second Caliber said they needed insurance information and wouldn't be able to get an appointment until Nov. 1? How many cars can one place have a one time with 4 different Calibers in Modesto I find it ODD that not one place can accommodate. This has really left me bewildered and confused. My 3 day old car got hit and our insurance had us take the car to this place. After waiting 11 days for it to be done, I just picked it up and it reeks of cheap perfume/car fragrance. I had a horrible headache after just a couple minutes in it. I liked the new car smell that came with the car but I guess that's over... When my car was damaged on the highway I was dreading the stress of not having my car for awhile and dealing with the technicalities of getting the repairs done. Caliber was helpful and quick to finish my car. For drop off and pick up I was there for maybe a total of 15 minutes each time. They finished my car sooner than expected. However, I feel like they rushed fixing my car. They called me friday and they said my car is ready for pick up. I went there and only to find out they forgot to change my tire so they asked me to return monday which i did. I came back monday picked up my car and upon arriving at home i did checked the repair. I am not satisfied to what they did. They did not aligned it well. I compared it to the other side and you can clearly see the difference. It looks like they just fix the dent and just put it right back. It is not blended properly that you will feel a bump when you run your hand on it. There are also paint chipping like they hammered the dent and not repainted it. I am guessing because it was not visible until you look close to it and they did not care about it. Man these dudes sure suck we had our 2012 camry taken here after a small incident the only thing i can say is the can paint match pretty good but thats it the headlight they put in hazed up quick as well ass some of the bolts that hold the fender liner down not being bolted down and tot top it off the cheap fiberglass repair attempt at the bumper the did instead of trying to swap it out failed leaving a gap between the mount point and the lower half of the bumper read more
