Why I Did Not Hire Caliber Collision - And Never Will I had a claim to repair damage to my truck after a malicious break-in, during which the driver-side door lock was punched in and personal property was stolen. My insurance company provided me with a list of recommended repair shops, and I chose to visit Caliber Collision for an estimate. When I arrived, I explained that I needed the door lock cylinder replaced. This is a relatively straightforward job that should take no more than 30 minutes for a skilled technician. I was willing to allow an hour for completion. My insurance adjuster advised me to obtain a hard copy of the estimate. I clearly asked the service representative for this. He told me he would send it to both the insurance adjuster and myself. However, I never received it, and neither did my adjuster. He chose to ignore my request. Instead of focusing on the issue I came in for, the service rep began inspecting for smudges and tiny dents unrelated to the claim. I reiterated that my only concern was the door lock, but he continued taking photos of the truck from several angles. When I asked what he was doing, he didn't respond. At this point, I had lost trust in their ability to respect my time, communicate clearly, or follow basic customer service practices. Whether or not they eventually sent the estimate became irrelevant; they would not be getting the job. They didn't listen to me, the customer; the one who pays both the insurance premiums and the bills. Based on my experience, it felt like they were more focused on inflating the estimate than solving my actual problem. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Caliber Collusion to anyone. read more

First time I've used this Keller location but unfortunately not the first time I've had to use Caliber. My first contact was over the phone the week after the Texas Snowmageddon. Someone ran a stop sting in the snow and I hit them. So I was anticipating a major backlog with the thousands of car crashes that I'm sure happened that week in the metroplex. Quite the opposite, they have me an appointment two days later and said I would be dropping off my truck. Fast forward a couple days and they were remarkable. Super friendly and said they should have me out in a week to two at the most. Even had Enterprise come pick me up there. While my truck was in the shop I got at least 2-3 phone calls from my contact there telling me the approximate timeline and apologizing for a delay due to waiting on parts from the dealer. Almost exactly at two weeks my truck was ready. I was very happy with the repairs and couldn't tell a difference. They even washed it and it looked almost brand new. My first experience with Caliber at another location was extremely unpleasant and a real pain in the ***. The Keller location renewed my trust in Caliber and I would absolutely use them again IF I needed to. Nobody wants to have to need them though. read more

I crashed my daughter's car which is a parent's nightmare. My injury was nothing compared to my emotional state. The repairs were supposed to be done in 2 weeks, but then it turned to 3. I'm going to be honest and tell you that when we went back in three weeks later, the paint didn't match, there were swirl marks from the poor job of waxing , and I was dissatisfied to say the least. Then Cody took over from there. He called the insurance company to get an extension and agreed to pay the car rental after the 30 day time period of our policy was up if the car wasn't finished in time. He was more than patient with me during the rest of the process. He went above and beyond to make things right. I had a dent about the size of a tennis ball on the back side of my vehicle. I backed into an object in my garage. I filed a claim with my insurance company. I chose Caliber Collision to make the repairs. I found a shop less than 10 minutes from home. Very professional from start to finish. My adjuster Ruben kept me informed through out the process. While not perfect, much better than the other body shops I have used in the past. People are pleasant and seem very organized in things they are doing. Estimate went quick, reminders for scheduling and they deal with the insurance companies. They do have long waits for service so wish they would have mentioned that during estimate. So I'm 0 for 2 at Caliber. Went to another location before this one (also with a one star review). In the 45 minutes between there and here, I stopped at two other shops and got estimates from both. I sat at this Caliber location for a half hour before I asked for my intake form back from the receptionist. I guess it's just standard practice at Caliber that if you don't have an insurance company's money to milk, they're not interested. Again, terrible service! I took my 6 month old new car with 3 bumps I had just done and was so upset over. The agent took my car back to be looked at and the body repair man buffed it out for free and explained how they would fix the small dent and how much that would cost. I didn't want the expense at this time and the buffing out made it look good enough for now. I appreciate their fairness in giving me a choice to have a surface fix at no cost and explaining the cost to repair which I still may do. This is probably the 5th time we have had a need to have our vehicle repaired and I have never had a bad experience with this particular location. Having your car out of service is stressful enough and I have dealt with other collision repair locations that have not left me feeling like they appreciated my business. I walked into the office area and there were a number of employees standing around talking to each other. I told the girl at desk that I had an appointment that I scheduled through their site, and she informed me that the scheduler doesn't work. (I received a confirmation from the site). She then, after no apology for the appt. issue, informed me that everyone was leaving for lunch, so she could give me an appt. for later in the day. I was not very pleased that no one wanted to go out of their way to fix the problem, but I started to give her my information. She asked me about my insurance, and then told me that they don't work with my company! She told me that I could go to a different Caliber location that did work with my insurance. I asked if they were the same company, and she said that they were. "Then why do they accept my company and you don't?" to which she replied, "I don't know." It didn't take long to get the feeling that no one there really wanted my business, or was willing take any kind of responsibility for the issue with my appt. Best part though was when we picked up the car, my wife's vehicle had a flat as we pulled in. They opened up the bay after closing and helped me change the tire. Above and beyond nice. This is my second time working with Caliber Collision and I am beyond upset and will NEVER use them again. I was told my car appointment for them to look at my car and assess the damage would be about 45 mins. Brian (who works at the keller one) came out took a couple pictures, started my car, and told me that he didn't see what the problem was and that my car was drivable, all in a span of 5 mins. He never even looked under the hood. I had rear-ended someone the day before. I never felt comfortable driving my car off their property and for good reason. My power steering went out in my car while I was driving it. I could have died, come to find out my hood wouldn't even pop open. He acted like it was no big deal. Thank God, I am done with them and never have to deal with Brian or their company again. read more

I got in a literal "Fender Killer" accident with another person and immediately reported it to my insurance company Allstate. Of course the accident was my fault, so I was more than distraught. Allstate gave me a few options; however, I just wanted to drop my car off somewhere and get things back to normal ASAP. Allstate recommended Caliber Collision which was just 1 mile from my house. Just moments after hanging up with Allstate, I received a phone call from Caliber letting me know that their next available drop off date was Tuesday at 7:30AM. So I agreed to the appointment. Upon dropping off the car, I met with Steve Blackwell from Caliber. He quickly came out with me to my car to assess all the damages. I told him my concern(s) regarding the alignment possibly being off since the vehicle definitely hit my tire. He reassured me that they would make sure everything was back to normal. Anything they found out of whack would be taken care of. Steve definitely made me feel comfortable with the whole process and provided me the reassurance that they would work with my insurance to make sure all damages were corrected. I received a phone call from Steve the next day letting me know that they had all the parts on order and that we were looking at a "delivery date" of the following Tuesday. I was impressed with how detailed he was with me over the phone on all actions they were taking with my car to get it back to me quickly. Just two days later, Friday, I receive a phone call from Steve letting me know that all parts came in early from BMW . . . I was very happy and surprised that all the replacement parts were Original Manufacturer parts, when other places I have been to almost always use after market or cheaper materials. Especially when insurance companies are picking up the tab. Steve let me know that I could pick up the car anytime after 3PM. I arrived at 5:00PM that same day. Steve greeted me immediately and just a few minutes later, pulled my car around. It looked BRAND NEW. All damage to the car was limited to the fender and maybe a little scratch on the wheel. They had completely resurfaced the wheel as it looked brand new. The hood, fender and drivers side door were all freshly painted and the paint was matched perfectly. They even touched up a few scratches they found on other parts of the vehicle. I was totally impressed. I bought the car used in the first place and it never looked this good - even on the dealers lot. Needless to say, the entire process was made 100% painless by Caliber and Allstate. There was no fighting with the insurance company or trying to convince the repair shop to do things right. They provided me with wonderful service and top of the line replacement parts, none of which I specifically asked for. On top of this, both Allstate and Caliber informed me that if I found anything out of place, or noticed any further damage, that my repair is 100% guaranteed for life. I couldn't be happier. All in all, I didn't have to lift a finger. All phone calls were initiated by either Allstate or Caliber. If you find yourself in a little (or big) accident, and your insurance company allows you to pick a facility, I would choose Caliber from this point forward. Of course, here's to hoping I don't "have to" use them again, but if I'm presented with a similar situation later in life, I know where I'm going. I used this place for a fairly minor fender bender after I was hit from behind. The at fault driver's insurance was Allstate and they recommended this place. BIG mistake. I drove a German import in which they had no business working on. I was quoted 4 weeks but it took 6 because they couldn't figure out the electrical system. Finally after messing with it too long they took my car to a dealership to get it functioning again. The Allstate adjuster stated I needed a new bumper, well Caliper charged them for a new bumper (per the quote) and I got a badly reconditioned one with obvious bumps it in. Plus my back quarter panel had a 1/4" gap in it. I had to bring the car back to get the bumper worked on another week and a half to get a bumper that didn't looked like it had been in a wreck. Meanwhile, trim pieces with put back badly or not at all - left for me to do. As I drove the car off the lot, other electronic issues started occurring - coincidence? I think not. I spent close to $900 fixing these issues. Only reason I gave 2 stars is the people were friendly, compassionate and the facility is close and clean. As far as taking car of a German import - HORRIBLE. read more

I love this place!! I took my car in a few weeks ago because someone swiped my left mirror right off. They offered to paint and install my mirror for the lowest price I could find!!! I compared prices everywhere and Caliber Collision gave me the best deal. Most places try to cheat you out and they certainly did not! Their customer service is outstanding and honest. It was the best experience I have ever had dealing with car places. Every time I walked in the door I was greeted and everyone seemed so happy to be there. My family and I have been coming to caliber for years. We have always received excellent service and in a timely fashion. However this time was a little different. I realized that after a few days I had left some money in the console of my car. It wasn't a lot of money but it was money nevertheless. I realized at that point I would just wait to get it until my car was finished and that it was my fault that I had left it in the car. When I got my car back I realized that my money had been stolen. I was quite shocked that somebody thought that would be OK to steal somebody else's money. I don't expect the money back as I know that it was my fault that I left it in the car, but caliber collision will not be receiving mine or my family's business any longer. Would not recommend this shop. Took them almost a month of a relatively minor repair. Has to bring back as there was 7 areas that were still wrong. Got the car back after corrections and only about half of them were fixed. Poor communication on repairs times too. read more

Are car has been back 3 times (missing whole parts no screws on parts that were replaced and worst they didn't put coolant in and might have damaged my engine ) they are now trying to tell me sorry but I think you we're in another accident and they can not cover there mistakes. read more

I have lived in the Keller/Southlake area for nearly 15 years and based on a referral, took my car to the Caliber Collision Center on Flora Street in North Richland Hills. I was happy to see them open a store in Keller, and just had my first chance to experience their services. They were very courteous, and had a Geico representative there onsite. He walked me through exactly what was going to happen and emphasized their life-time warranty on everything they do. The service representative was very informative and attentive. My car was not badly damaged when I brought it to them, but the damage was repaired, and they even included a small bottle of touch up paint. I cannot imagine a better customer service experience. I have been scheduled for a week for an appointment for an estimate on my car. Then they call and cancel and give me a 2 to 4 week leadtime before. This was from the North Freeway location, then I called this one and was given the same rude answer. Losing a business starts one customer at a time. Ask Sears, Montgomery Wards, and Penney's. They once owned the retail world, check them out now. I will never recommend this company to do work. read more

Today was the 57th day Caliber has had my car since my accident. Every week since they got my car, I have received an email saying my car should be finished by the end of the week. On Friday (day #30), I got a call that it is ready. Then we get another call later that day that they lost the emblems so they had to order them. Day 35 we get another call that it is ready. We get there and the tail light looks like it came from a junkyard, the bumper is not aligned with the body of the car and the trunk...OMG. There's a huge gap on the left side between the lid and the body of the car. Fast forward to day 57-still no car. The regional manager has been in contact a few times. The first time to let us know he's involved (sometime around day 40). The second time because we called him around day 45. He told us he was involved but at day 45, he told my husband he assumed we already had the car back. Day 57 and I'm fed up. He was extremely rude. Conveniently, Caliber's website does not allow for negative reviews. So, here we go again...probably at least another week or maybe longer before I get my car back. read more
