GO TO GERBER: THEY ARE "TOP GUN" RATED To put it in human terms. If your were 60 you'd look at least 33 to 35 and be 25 pounds lighter and could bench 300 lbs. They are that good. In looks you'd be transformed to look a little like Chris Hemsworth ish, Denzel ish looking. If you were a guy. You be tougher than Patton and faster than the 6 million dollar man. You could sing like Pavarotti, or if you were a classic rocker a little like the CCR lead singer to a bit Steven Tyler ish. In Sci Fi terms your car would be something the Transformer would choose as worthy. It would be up there with Optimus Prime and the rest of the transformers. If their work were were a Fighter jet it would be an F-22 Raptor. In other words it is the best of the best. THey are TOP GUN. FANTASTIC work, "Really customer centered people". You have to at least call and ask for Randy- Amazing knowledge to be so young and breaks down what they are going to do so you know why car body repairs costs what it does and he sets your expectations now and if you are paying out of your pocket, will work with you where he can to lower the cost without compromising the quality. Randy Munguia the General Manager took care of everything - Joanna at the front desk coordinated the rent car, keep me updated, they send text messages to let you how far along they are so there is no guessing when they will be finished. I had some dents, scratches that had been on the car years I alwasy intended someday to fix, that were starting to rust, and some other issues but Randy did more than that even though I paid about a 1K for those repairs and paint, he even polished my haelights and I didn't ask for that nor did he charge me. This is a 2012 Honda Accord LX-P (WHITE) 4 door and I almost thought they repainted the whole thing. They buffed out the paint and with the other work that was done it almost looks like a new car the day I drove it off the lot. If you didn't know better it you'd think it was garage keep and only driven on Sunday's. Even the neighbors thought I got a new car and my wife thought they repainted it. I can only say they will get any business for body work I ever have in the future. The Back Story: I had some damaged caused by a parking stop at a Dental office that was also the location of the property management company. A piece of rebar sticking up caught under the air foil and pulled off the bumper, the underneath cover, and the left wheel tire cover - almost all of the underneath all from one piece of rebar - yeah that's right. I couldn't believe it. I barely pulled over it, I didn't see it as it was at night but trying to back off slowly it just made it worse I think. Their insurance company (Liberty) sent me to Gerber one of the newer collision repair places in Texas. they are a northern based company out of Chicago but the parent company is in Canada. My aunt had damaged her van and was dreading the cost and time away from it while it was being repaired. She took it in to Gerber on Friday, December 20th... just to get an idea of the cost and damage. They took it back while she waited. Less than 20 minutes later, it was returned--- repaired! We're not sure what they did, or how it happened... but it was as good as new! Even a ding from another time had been repaired! And the icing on the cake was that there was no charge! "Merry Christmas" was all they said. She was so grateful, and truly believed it WAS a Christmas miracle! Everyone was so nice, and it was so unexpected! There should be a "zero stars" option for situations like this. Where do I even begin with how horrible Gerber Collision & Glass in Watauga, TX is? All four of our cars were damaged in a massive hailstorm on 4/28/21 and we took them to Gerber as they were a "preferred shop" with our insurance company. All four cars were assessed by Gerber at 1pm on 4/29/21. PROS: - Gerber got us in quickly for the auto evaluations - They let us eat lunch in the waiting area while they looked over all of our cars CONS: - COMMUNICATION: They told us they would get the estimates to the insurance company within 72 hours and it actually took TWO WEEKS to get 3 of the 4 estimates (we are now three weeks out from the auto evaluation and we still don't have the estimate on the 4th vehicle) - I had to call them multiple times to ask what the status was of the estimates and every time they over-promised and never-delivered - The manager received an email from my insurance company and was told to reach out to us directly to communicate what was happening and he NEVER has done so. - ESTIMATES: Oh boy! You thought the communication was bad? Well the estimates completely sucked. They botched those so badly that the insurance company sent an adjuster to our house to look them over. Here are some specifics: Vehicle #1: Gerber estimated $1,315.93 and the insurance adjuster wrote for over $9,600 in damages and total loss Vehicle #2: Gerber estimated $2,422.45 and the insurance adjuster wrote for over $8,700 in damages and a total loss Vehicle #3: Gerber estimated...oh, I have no idea, because they have never even bothered to email this estimate to us or the insurance company...insurance adjuster wrote for over $7,500 in damages and repairs Vehicle #4: Gerber estimated $6,796.32 in repairs and recommended for total loss; Insurance company is totaling this vehicle Gerber has now been REMOVED from the insurance company's preferred provider list, because of how they handled our situation and that of other customers. (Ok, you could call this hearsay since I heard it from the total loss agent at the insurance company and not the preferred shop consultant directly.) There are too many collision and glass centers around town to bother wasting your time with this shop. read more

I came by this shop because my car's spoiler fin had a hideously large chip in its paint that was constantly peeling off and needed to be re-done. The staff was busy when I arrived but I didn't have to wait too long to get an initial estimate that was very reasonable, and I was impressed at how well the staff honored that price estimate when it came time to pay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and even offered to remove the fin while they stripped the peeling paint off so that I could have a car to drive until it was time to re-paint the spoiler. The final product was very well done; they matched the spoiler's paint job to the eight-year-old paint job of the car's body extraordinarily well and brought the car out looking good as new. My own experience was top-notch. The one disadvantage to this spot that I noticed was that they seemed to be very busy during my visits there. They have a very professional and inviting front office, but it was rarely staffed when I dropped by; on the other hand, the workers in the garage were more than willing to point me in the direction of the manager, often out in the shop or in their secured lot. I noticed the staff seemed to be covering two or three different jobs at any one time, but in spite of this I never had to wait more than ten to fifteen minutes to get my business taken care of--something that can't be said for some other auto shops I've visited in the past! So why did I pick five stars for this body shop? When it comes time to consider the entire experience, this company has definitely earned it in my perspective. With the integrity of the manager and his staff, their helpful advice, reasonable waits in line, and of course the quality of the work done, I found this to be a very promising business. If I ever have the need for more complicated work on my car than the simple re-paint I had done, I would definitely make this place my first stop. read more

I could not be happier !!! My wife's drivers door handle broke off and Planet Paint not only painted, installed the new handle VERY inexpensively, but it was done the SAME day !!! Paint match was perfect, Jack was great to work with, he was very on top of the repair, excellent communication !!! They even touched up a couple nicks and scrapes at no charge, and I'm planning on taking it back to fix the fender soon. I'll also take my truck there to fix numerous dents, I trust Planet Paint and am grateful for their help. Very grateful compared to a crummy experience I had at Service King a few months back. Wow, Where do I start. I wrecked my 2003 mustang GT convertable in june of 2008, I needed some serious work done,so i took the wrecker drivers recondmendation, and took my pony to Planet Paint...Worst mistake I ever made. I was quoted 8 days til i would get it back, 2 months later on aug 1st i did get it back, but it was not right at all. These guys took forever and the work was horrible. 2 days after i got my car back, the clutch cable snapped, no biggie i just replaced it my self. 2 weeks after getting my pony back, the piviot ball that the clutch fork rotates on was shered off and caused all kinds of damage. it took me a bit, but i replaced the bell housing, clutch,pressure plate, cable throwout bering,and was again without my car til april of 2009. I was very happy to get it back, and looking forward to driving it...almost a full year without my pride and joy. First off, when i picked my car up from planet paint back in aug of 08, I noticed that there were things not right with my car. They were going to replace one side of shocks and 3 tires, the struts ans springs on 1 side...This immeditly raised questions for me. why only replace one side of the suspension. I had already bought a set of springs that i intended to install, but then the wreck happend. when Gary told me what they were going to replace, I said why cant we replace all of the struts and shocks, i already had the springs. he said if i went and bought them he would take the cost of the parts they were gonna replace off the total, and install all new ones,and the springs. I asked three different times if there were anything part wise that ineeded, like a Camber kit ,and Strut tower brace and Gary said NO i didnt need them. Getting back to when i picked up my ride. I noticed that both front tires were leaning very far inward... i asked about it and Gary said that is how lowered cars look. He then said "Dont worry the faster you go the straighter the wheels will ride. B.S. i thought. I told him I would take it home and look it over and come back with any questions. Thats when the cable broke, and the clutch fork snapped. I called Gary to tell him what had happend and he said I couldnt bring it back til it was mobil again. I was livid. He also suggested that i have it towed to Eagle Trans, 2 doors down the block from planet paint... So i did and Wow to my suprise, Eagle Trans comes up with this, The wreck Didnt cause my problems... Yeah right i said... They got me for 300.00 just to tell me my clutch needed to be replaced... I already knew that. So i called my own mech and had the clutched fixed right. When i took my car back to planet paint in May of 2009, All i got was retarded answers... It had been almost a year and i had not even put 200 miles on it since the work was done at planet paint. I told Gary I was not Happy with the way it drove or the UNEVEN TIRE wear, every seem like doors, hood,fenders didnt line up, and the conv. top leaked now. None of which had ever been like this before. The answer to my questions still have not been answered... Gary said i needed a camber kit and strut tower brace... The parts I had asked him if i needed to get a year ago. He offered to get me a new allignment after i had a camber kit and strut tower brace installed... Wow I thought, and what about all the misallighned doors and seems. He said if I left it with him for a week he would adjust it. NO WAY I was not about to let this guy try to FIX my car, or even touch it again. I have since spoken to three different body shops, and had them, tell me everything that is wrong with my car. I never mentioned what work planet paint did. They all have told me it needs new shocks,struts-(bent) ,springs, camber kit, strut tower brace, not to mention 2 new tires because of the poor work Planet Paint did. Well they said Poor work someone did. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANY OF MY CARS, OR SEND ANY BUSINESS TO THIS SHOP AGAIN. ANYONE WHO ASK ME IM TELLING THEM TO STAY AWAY, SO THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO YOU. I have talked to Gary on three different times, his answer is always the same...He says nothing. Their mission statment is a joke, just go to the website and read it. It says that after u get your ride back you wont be able to tell it was ever in a wreck--LIE They say Lifetime Warrenty-Then fix MY car. They say your tires will wear evenly---MINE DONT. They say they wont rest til every customer is satisfied---Well IM NOT SATISFIED WITH the WORK DONE TO MY CAR, OR the way I have been treated.---MAKE ME HAPPY, GARY. I dont mean to be so upset, but this is more than a car to me, I recived this car five months after my little sister bought it. She died and it is all i have left of her. I had accidentally backed up my 2013 Lexus RX350 into the parking garage door and dented and creased the lift gate. I was looking around for a body shop with honest pricing and good workmanship when one of my friends recommended Planet Paint Collision. I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. I found that the managers there are incredibly professional and went out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. Kudos to Rich and his team for an outstanding job. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome of repairs. They went over the process of fixing my car very thoroughly and kept me up to date on the progress of my car while it was under their care. They directly dealt with my insurance company, Allstate, ensuring that the supplemental requests were approved without any delay. They also arranged for a rental car of my choice from Enterprise located very close to the shop. I am immensely pleased with the entire experience. I have to admit that they also have the best customer service I have had at any business in a long time. I use an inexpensive plastic liner over carpet in the trunk to keep the cargo area clean. Since I was in a hurry while picking up the car, did not notice that they had forgotten to put the liner back on after cleaning the carpets and mats. The car was sparkling clean, the repairs were terrific which made the car look like new, so I just drove off happy. Later on during the day, I got a call from their manager informing me that the liner was with them and offered to deliver it to my home 45 miles away. As promised, it was delivered to my home the same evening. This amazing gesture just blew me away. I am extremely grateful that I was dealing with a group of people that went beyond business only. I have received many compliments on the job Planet Paint has done to my car and I would highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for a honest body shop that does high quality work. read more

Absolutely horrible. Got into a minor fender bender and based on good reviews, took it to planet paint. They replaced my hood, bumper, and radiator. The repairs took a week and a half longer than originally quoted, then, on the second time I drove my car, it overheated. They didn't put coolant in my car! After adding coolant, my car had trouble starting. I took it back to them, and they kept it for another 2 days. After replacing the spark plugs, They said my car was ready, but it still has trouble starting! Then they went on that the fuel pump is damaged, and it's leaking oil. I figured they at least made the car drivable by adding oil, but half way home from their shop my oil light came on. Now I'm stranded for a second time. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. read more

i contacted the owner gary several times. while he was always nice he did not get my car fixed . the wheels on my car were bent during the wreck he left them on there sticking new hub caps over damaged rims. he missed fixing several key point in my car. including a window regulator,cv joint, and miss matched the paint. i would not recommend. read more
