I am very upset because the way I was treated with total disregard and disdain after it was decided that I would no longer do business with this branch(as a customer). I no longer felt valued or welcome inside the branch at all. Luis, the representative helping me with my claim knew that I was pressed for time and trying to meet the deadline to get my car to another shop so that I would not be charged any more rental fees. At 4:00pm I received an email from a different collision shop saying they haven't received the total car with the parts that was taken apart at Caliber Collision. Luis, was intentionally not being honest with me and left me on hold for several crucial minutes in regards to my car. He told me that he tried to contact in regards to the unattached parts but no answer also he said he left a voice message that I haven't received to date. The reason for my urgency is I needed to get my car to the next shop before COB in order not to be charged for the long weekend's rental by the insurance company. I had to race across town twice to get my parts that should have been with the car when towed from the beginning to make sure the total car was received- correctly. This was a horrible experience for me from the moment I walked in the shop until I left with my own car parts in car. I will be filing a BBB report. read more

Someone rear ended me of course. So my insurance company (State Farm) refered me to the nearest collision center...*side eye* friendly staff I must say, but whomever repaired my vehicle didn't do such a great job at ALL! The bumper and trunk were to get repaired... Everything came out fine EXCEPT they didn't replace the side panels....Also, they went into my custom box in my trunk and alter something's which in all they had no business even touching.... Ultimately, I have been back to this place over 3 times within a week. I am now waiting on them to order the replacement parts for the bumper and I am driving my car with missing parts. I'm sorry I had A horrible experience with these people and I am the type that takes great care and pride of my vehicle so when it is damaged it needs to come back to me like it was before the damage occurred. I took my car in for a bumper repair and 3 weeks later I called them to see what was taking them so long and they told me "tomorrow by 3:30" and the next day came and told me the same thing for about 4 days until I got fed up and turns out they lost my bumper and they told me they will replace it with a premiered bumper and won't paint it and they won't put it on and I'll have to do it myself !! Update: they returned my car to me still scratched up and with the gas engine light on. When I told them that the light was on and I had given it to them at a quarter tank the response I got was "Rub the scratch with some water and our service lead said that you dropped it off with the tank light on" ...... First of all, water doesn't get off paint scratches but thanks and secondly, I'm the owner of the car AND i have a picture of the tank light when I dropped it off (i've had poor experiences with other caliber's in the area so I am meticulous with them) so nice try. read more

Customer service is okay but the work was bad! Forgot to paint part of the bumper and on the front has a dent like if they let something fall on it which left a scratch on my windshield . I walked into this Caliber Collision after an accident I had on my Dodge Journey. There was damage to the front bumper of my car and was forced to pull the bumper off in order to be able to drive it without dragging the bumper. My insurance company recommended this place and I came in. I was greeted by their receptionist, who was very nice and professional. She was able to pull my information quickly and had Paul finish assisting me. Paul took a look at my car and assured me it would be taken care of. Paul contacted me via emails and calls to keep me updated on the process and status of my vehicle. They are extremely professional and helpful. This has been the best experience I have ever had with any mechanic/body shop! When you walk into the office it's clean and organized and not greasy and a mess everywhere like most shops. Everyone is friendly and offers you water, popcorn, coffee, etc. My daughter was more than happy to grab a bag of popcorn and wait for me to finish up my paperwork. I got daily text message updates so I didn't have to wonder or keep asking the status of my vehicle work. They always helped me quickly and I didn't have to sit around waiting for assistance when I walked in. Worst service ever for the second time i went for body repair due to an accident. Had electronic issues and dead battery when my car was returned a month later. My left front tire was rubbing and that wasn't happening before I came there. I did not receive my car in the same condition it was in before my accident.Car had more problems then when I dropped it off. I asked them to put a new hood on my car and received my car with dents in the hood. All they said was your car was like that when we got it. They did not finish repairs and returned my car to me a week later then projected. They say there work has a guarantee but they won't fix the mistakes they made. The first time I went to the center I had no problems. The service was as it should be and my car was fixed (although it took 2 times to get the bumper decal put on properly). The second time I need my car repaired, they didn't have any information from my insurance company. The person making appointments couldn't make an appointment without it. She said that if I made an appointment without it, I couldn't add it later. I would have to pay out of pocket. As a business person, it didn't make any sense to me. If you ever come across an accident and you or your insurance company look into this place for repairs, AVOID THIS PLACE!! I MEAN IT!! I read into the review beforehand but wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and brought my car in as my Triple A (AAA) adjuster told me so. Not only does this place lack a sense of communication but the sense of urgency to even greet you! It's such an inconvenience when the agent your car is assigned to doesn't update you especially as the date of "completion" arrives. Your left to wonder if your car is even ready or what's the deal.. I gave them an extra day to get a hold of me.. nope no call no email.. at this point I'm frustrated and decide to call and ask for Jeff. Come to find out he took some extra days off yet who cares about my car as if I don't need it as like they say " restoring the rhythm of your life" and get you going.. I pull up as I'm on my way to target & notice my car is sitting outside on the street (prairie) I pull over & walk in. I ask what's going on if my car is ready they reassure me it's ready to go just need paperwork to finalize.. come to find out my car was still not completed my right passenger rear mirror was still shattered.. here we go " oh I don't know why my guys missed that.. " Here goes another night with out my car , they promised to have it replaced and ready by the next day.. my car was returned to me DIRTY . They sworn my car was taken to the car wash when yet it still had residue from the prepping stage before painting.. I left it with only less than a quarter left of gas and sure enough they drove it for about 15-20 miles.. my tank was on E.. this is the funny part they seemed to missed to check the mirror that was shattered but yet they were soooo good to really dig through my personal belongings inside my vehicle.. my wife had stored her Apple Watch in a secure and snug place ... you had to be really ransacking things around to find it.. as I stated earlier read previous reviews of the going through your shit but never thought triple a would send loyal clients to this shit hole that charges a pretty penny for their "work" n yet have thief's working there.. I came in with the police report and asked to speak to the manager about my wife's watch and I asked to have a list of names of the people that worked on my car.. he de aid to provide the information.. my car spent 2 weeks and 3 days at that shop of course my wife's watch was going to run out of battery, but however the last known location of the watch showed it was at "Caliber Collision on Praire" I immediately called triple a to notify them of what kind of shops they do business-with and let them know I will take legal actions! Got into an accident in September 2016 with my 3 month old vehicle. The insurance company directed me to this collision shop and I took it in for an estimate and finally repair. After about $6,000 worth of work and 1 month, my vehicle was ready to be picked up. I was beyond excited to finally be back in my own car and quit driving rentals. It was a Friday when I went to pick it up so I was excited for some weekend driving...only...when I got in and started the car, the check engine light was on. I contemplated whether I should wait until Monday or tell them right this second. I was too excited to be back in my own car and I knew they were closing soon so I just decided to come back Monday. After driving the weekend with it, I began to hear noises coming from the front area (accident damage was done on the front passenger's side) and noticed that the steering wheel was noticeably off; however, the car went straight with no issues so this appeared to be solely a cosmetic issue I'd just have to deal with. I came back on Monday and asked to speak with Paul. He got his manager and his manager took my car for a test drive and he saw the check engine light and he also confirmed the clunky noise coming from the front. He said that he would have his mechanics take a look at it ASAP. Turns out that they didn't tighten up the hood of my car correctly and it just needed to be tightened a little more. That's fine, and all seems to be good since then. But they said that they fixed the check engine light which I confirmed after turning the key. Only...after driving down the road, the light came back on again. I came back, can't remember if it was that same day or the next, and told them about the check engine light and it coming back on. They said they would keep it a little while longer and I was back in a rental. Turned out to be a part called the Active Shutter Grill and they replaced it. They said that the original was damaged in the accident and the new one they bought must have malfunctioned so they ordered another one. After about a week or two, I was back in my car again. Then a few months later, my check engine light comes on. I have a code reader at home and I had read it from the time it happened before and also this time and the codes were the same, meaning it was the same problem. I took my car back to these guys and explained what was going on. They told me that they would not look at my vehicle unless I could provide documentation stating that it was a part they had replaced. I took it to a dealership to have it inspected. Instead of giving me that documentation, the dealership went ahead and replaced the ASG so I didn't need to come back to the collision shop again. All seemed to be be going well until a few months pass by and the same thing happens again. I took it to the dealership and they replaced it again. Then a few months later the same thing happens again a few weeks ago. I'm really frustrated at this point so I end up taking it to another dealership and explain what's going on. The new dealership called me yesterday and asked me some questions. They had stated that they knew I was in an accident and asked about the work done such as where it was done and all this. Come to find out that the ASG was not the problem at all, it was faulty wiring done by the shop that had done the repairs after the collision. So in addition to the lack of tightening on the hood, the same shop also did faulty wiring on the vehicle when putting everything back together. I also realized that what they did the first time I noticed the check engine light was simply clear it out on the system which doesn't fix the problem, it just makes it appear there are no issues for another 50 miles and then the check engine light comes back on. I'm giving 2 out of 5 stars because of this shoddy work and me having to deal with these constant issues over a year span. From November 2016 to January 2018, this has been nothing but a major headache for me and I feel like the shop could have done more to help me. The administration here are really great people. The guy who helped me and communicated with me on the status of my vehicle was very professional and while I wish he would have just had my vehicle inspected when I complained about it, I understand where he and the shop are coming from in first having me go somewhere else to confirm that it is a part they replaced. I also appreciated the manager over him taking the time to physically drive my vehicle and admit the problems and have it corrected for me right on the spot. I feel that the issue lies in the back with the mechanics. To me, based on my experience, it seems that someone back there is incredibly lazy. Not double checking their work and doing things like clearing out a system warning are not only lazy but incredibly dangerous. I am not satisfied in this area which is the reason I came to the shop. read more

I dropped my car off on a Monday and was told I would receive a phone call within 24 hours giving me a time frame of when my car would be ready. My car worked perfectly and just needed minor work done. I had had a conversation with an employee (prior to drop off) about the insurance claim adjuster not approving one of the repairs I needed and that I'd pay out of pocket and try to bill the insurance company later. The man was nice and said he's try to bill them, but this Insurance company was terrible (person who hit me insurance) and it might take a while. I said thank you and signed paperwork for them to get started on everything the insurance company paid out for. Today is Friday and I had never received a phone call, so I decided to pick up the phone thinking it had to be ready. Mind you, I have already paid $100 for a rent a car. I was then told that they haven't even started because they were waiting to hear back from the other insurance. I then asked "for what?, I already have the check from the company." He then said, "for the items they denied." My mind was blown! I rented a car for my completely usable car to sit at the shop while I waited for approval on items that I said I'd pay out of pocket for. Also, I signed documents that they were going to work on completely different items than what we were "waiting for." I'm not even mad at the delay in the work, I am very upset about the LACK OF COMMUNICATION. Why did I not receive a phone call as promised? I would have picked up my car and saved myself $100. About a month ago, I was struck by a car who ran a red light going left across an intersection. Luckily, the damage was fairly minor; just a basketball sized dent/scrape on the driver's side bumper. My insurance company (Progressive) gave me a few options for collision centers in my area that were within their network. Caliber Collision just happened to be the closest, so I decided to take my car there. If this review were based solely on my first visit and impression, I would have given them 5 stars. Unfortunately for them, there is a lot more involved. First off, the estimate they gave me for such minor and cosmetic damage seemed to be quite high. The wording they used while giving me this estimate, led me to believe that I would end up paying much more. So, I thanked the guy (can't remember his name), and told him that the estimate was a little bit more than I was expecting it to be, and as a young, 24 year old woman who lives on her own and completely supports herself, money was a little bit tight. In reality, I knew that I could get the work done for at least a few hundred dollars less somewhere else. He tried to convince me a few times to let him do the job, and I could tell he was a bit frustrated, which is understandable, but hey, I make sure I get the most for my money. I picked my car up a few days later. Once again, he tried to convince me to let him do the work. I apologized, thanked him, and then went on my way. It wasn't until after I got home that I realized anything was wrong. While I was driving home, I noticed that my car radio was full of static. I thought it might just be the station, so I changed it a few times. Nothing. While doing this, I noticed that my airbag light was now on. I figured it would probably just turn off on it's own, so I ignored it. Once I got home, I decided to give the outside of the car a once over. There was now completely new damage to the middle part of my bumper, about a foot away from the original damage that occurred in the crash. Irritating, but not a huge deal. As I went to the back of my car, I noticed that my radio antenna had been ripped out. At this point, I was completely furious. How unprofessional and immature. When my airbag light never ended up turning off, I figured that they must have damaged that as well. It's one thing to scrape up my bumper and rip out my antenna, but to tamper with a person's airbag? That's completely uncalled for and extremely dangerous. A few days later, I took my car to Fine Car Exteriors on Marine Avenue in Lawndale. This shop wasn't one within Progressive's network of collision centers, but I've heard good things about it from friends and family. They were right. I had my car back that same day, and for half the price. I've still yet to get my antenna and airbag fixed, but all the money I saved will definitely help. Thank you, Carlos!! My car insurance company recommended Caliber and I was kind of hesitant because my car is a 2014 BMW and I wanted a shop that was going to do an impeccable job. I ended up going there, and the customer service was amazing and so was the work. Plus it's backed by a lifetime warranty. I specifically worked with Paul and when I went to pick up my car, he told me it would be a few more minutes they were going to wash the car for me. I told him that wasn't necessary I had a lot of errands to run and just wanted to leave. The manager David spoke to me saying the detailing of the car wasn't up to their standards so I should pick a day that was convenient for me to come back so they could detail the inside/out for free. I went back the following week and dropped my car off. It looks just as great as when I got it from the dealer! I took my truck on June 1st and got it back on June 9th with a surprise of an extra 300 miles added to my mileage. They also did some work on the rear bumper which had nothing to do with the claim since the repair was only for the front bumper. My truck was dirty and things inside my truck where out of place. My truck now has mechanical problems. The manager, Samuel Lomeli and the advisor Paul are covering each other backs and lied by hand writing a different mileage # to make it seem as the mileage when I left the truck. Now they argue they forgot to update the mileage and that it was a computer error about the rear bumper. Be careful when you leave your cars and check the mileage. For now I am looking into an agreement or lawsuit. Paul also never called me for the extra repairs he just told me in person when I picked up and he states the opposite. I hope that regional manager Marc Wilson does something about these issues and Paul and Samuel. read more
