I wish I could give 0 stars. This shop is horrible, they can't even put a rear bumper on correctly. My car had a small scratch on the rear bumper and they fixed the scratch but could never put the rear bumper back on I had to come back for them to replace a bumper bracket which made them pull the whole bumper off and now both sides sit uneven. Do yourself a favor and don't come here unless you want more of a headache. The General Manager Ryan even came out and said "this is how you brought it to me". You mean I brought it to you damaged for you to fix it?? No duh, this is a body shop right?!! and then he said "there is nothing more we can do", you mean you guys can't even put the bumper back on correctly and that's the best you can do? Ridiculous. I took my wife's 2023 Escape hybrid to Caliber for repairs. The initial drop-off went smoothly, and the follow-up communication was adequate. However, when I returned to pick up the vehicle, I noticed several issues: the panels were misaligned, zip ties were used where clips should have been, and the hybrid cooling system's degas bottle was empty. I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested corrections, which was unacceptable for a brand-new car. On my second visit, the corrections were completed, but when I attempted to start the car, the battery was dead. The service manager came out to jump-start it but seemed unsure of what to do. After some assistance, they handed me the keys, only for me to find the dashboard lit up with warning lights. Frustrated, I insisted they conduct a proper test drive and thorough quality check before contacting me again. During my third visit, I was told they had charged the battery and checked everything. However, here I am on a Saturday morning with a dead battery again, and it's clear that the mounting hardware shows no signs of a proper battery removal or charging. As a Senior Master Certified Ford Gas/Diesel technician, I am extremely disappointed. Navigating a car accident is already frustrating, but to endure this level of service is unacceptable. I can only imagine how dissatisfied their regular customers must be. Places like this give good professionals a bad rep and wonder why so many people call shops rip offs and don't wanna pay their prices. read more

My 16 year old crashed end of May... minor front end damage... nothing big... Brought it to a repair shop per my insurance and they had it until end of June/early July to fix it. When they fixed it they told me they had to "move" my radiator (their words) Then it sat most of summer til my son came back from his dads... He came back and was driving it for school (couple miles down the road) and all of a sudden we realized it's been leaking coolant when it started overheating... opened the hood to find a hole worn in a radiator hose and apparently they never hooked my radiator back up correctly. What's even more fun? Since it's been a couple months... they said it's not their problem. Couldn't have been from them... had to have happened afterwards. Yes... we make a habit of messing with radiators in this house... fun hobby to pass the time So after many phone calls and emails... and a stern phone call from my (male) insurance adjuster... they finally picked my car up to "look" at it and then did ultimately fix it but not without much argument back and worth. No thanks... will definitely go elsewhere in the future! read more

We took our BMW there for repair and were presently surprised at the experience and product knowledge the shop had of our problem. We chose to wait and within a few hours were back on the road. They had ultra clean restrooms and wait room with coffee etc. This made the wait easy and comfortable for us. Would definitely use this business again. read more

The adjustor was rude and unaccommodating. Not willing to give us a timeliness for repairs. They have way too many cars on the lot. They even park cars in disabled spots making tough for the disabled. read more

Hhmmm. Hard review here. When we arrived everyone was nice and informative. As time went on we couldn't get any info from them except that this person went on vacation and this person is out and we are short due to covid. I get it. Frustrating tho and super stressful because ... that's our car! Of course it's stressful. Geico rep was to communicate with Collision place here but our Geico rep also was missing for a couple days and took a while to get us any confirmations from here. Anyway, couple weeks and we here my faughters SUV is "totalled". Well that sucks. It didn't look like it would have been totalled but what do I know. Apunderneath there was more damage than the vehicle was wotmrth to repair so they ripped out the seats and tore it up and Fed Ex us the license plates. It was upsetting. The whole process here. I'm sure they deal with worse things everyday and to them I'm prob being petty but this was stressful on our end not knowing and then finding out we can't have it back. A hard review because I just don't know enough all this and having to blindly trust is scary. 3 stars is A.OK. I'm good with it. read more

Had a minor accident and was looking to have an estimate with this company. I've used a different location in the past and LOVED it so thought to give them a try again. There's a lady on the phone who felt the need to keep reminding me that they are not network with the insurance I would be going though that wasn't my own, and that they would keep my car until balance is paid off in full if insurance did not pay in full. I had a variety of questions but she felt the need to keep telling me that which I already understood and would cover the difference if needed. I'll just go somewhere else which makes me kinda sad. read more

When your insurance company tells you to take your vehicle here for repair, DON'T. Very poor quality & customer service. They use cheap parts and claim they replace certain parts, when in fact they put a band aid on the part. Then in 3 months when the band aid falls off, they deny, deny, deny. They charge the insurance company for new parts. read more

My Vehicle was picked up at Caliber Collision on 13260 University Blvd, Bristow, VA 20136 on 1-11-2022. The work was nearly perfect. I noticed 2 spots looking from the side of the vehicle displaying a distortion on the finish and a clip on the aft quarter panel was not latched. Travis took the car to the back to work on my concerns and came out to inform me they are working on it and wet sanding the area in question. About 10 minutes later the vehicle came out again to the front and a gentleman with a blue Caliber Collision wind breaker came outside to see the car with us, never introduced himself. It turned out to be Ryan. Ryan, Travis and I could see and acknowledged the imperfections. Ryan said they can re-do it but it would come out the same and then came the smart Alec remark from Ryan that "I wanted a showroom look", or that "it will grow on you". He did offer to repaint if the imperfections would not grow on me. He mentioned the Caliber Collision Lifetime warranty. Based on this experience why would anyone want to go to this location. I have serious reservations on the owners of this location having Ryan as a supervisor. He has no Customer Service Skills. I will never bring any of my vehicles or for that matter recommend this location to anyone. Individuals such as Ryan are in need of serious customer service interaction training. Before the accident my vehicle had no damage, scratches or imperfections in the area of concern. I was not expecting a showroom look, just the same with no imperfections. The Caliber Collision on 13375 University Blvd, Gainesville, VA 20155 a 5 Star location in my book, nearby about a block away provided me a far much better experience when I went to paint the roof of the same Prius. They actually did the work twice to correct some mistakes done on the first painting. I take pride in how my cars look. read more

Well, my insurance gave us an option Caliber Collision based on the damage to our vehicle. My husband dealt with the repair on our Palisade.y husband informed me that the car was ready for pickup so of course I was more than pleased to get out of the disgusting rental car we were given from Enterprise in Gainesville. We were treated very nicely when we walked in and signed paper work and paid the deductible-bad mistake!! When my husband walked to our Palisade, she was not washed and the inside of our beautiful white leather interior was filthy from white powder, blank gunk on the back passenger door (white interior) and the console was filthy with dirt or grease. My husband literally was cleaning the inside of our car with wipes so we can sit on the seats. Additionally, we looked at the area that was fixed and there was more black gunk. I am sooo disappointed and pist that this place charged for service but left my car in the condition it was left in. I WILL NEVER TAKE any of Vehicles or will recommend this place! I will be speaking to Geico about this place and will be submitting a formal complaint. I am only giving 2 stars for the updates and how nice the receptionist was at time of pick up, other than that I would of given 1 star!!! read more

My experience with Caliber Collision could not have been better. From the moment I brought my car in, until I picked it up! Upon arrival they told me that a loaner vehicle was on the way to pick me up. They made a potentially painful experience into a smooth painles event. I was very impressed with my service advisor, Gar Mittelman who not as a mere customer but truly as if I were a member of his family. I was so pleased with the service I received at Caliber Collision in Gainesville, VA (Caliber -Gainesville RX). Jenna and Brian were so professional and personable. Jenna kept me informed on the repair of my vehicle by calling me at least every other day. Brian was welcoming and courteous when I came into the shop to drop off and pick up my vehicle. My car looked amazing when I picked it up. I confess I deliberately waited a few months before writing this review just to make sure everything worked well and sure enough, my vehicle is running great with no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend Caliber Collision in Gainesville, Virginia if you need to have your vehicle repaired. Caliber in Gainesville just did some repair work on my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a minor fender bender that I had recently. They were amazing and have always been really good to work with. I received almost daily updates on the status of the repairs from Gar, which kept me up to date on how it was progressing and removed a lot of the worry with something like this. My car was finished 4 days ahead of time too, which was awesome and I love getting my vehicle back. They also took the burden of having to deal with Enterprise pretty much off of my back and I was even able to leave my rental car with them when I picked my car up, and they notified Enterprise for me and closed out the rental agreement. These folks are great and we've had at least 5 different repairs done by them, and they have all gone well. In the one instance where my wife required some follow up repairs to her SUV, they did so w/o any questions and turned it around for her very quickly. I will definitely be using this shop again (but hopefully not any time soon). :) read more

I have 2 teenage boys who are active in sports and drive a lot. Have taken 3 different vehicles to Caliber in Gainesville, VA. Each time they have done an outstanding job. Always helpful on the phone, and provide updates via email and VM. They work with the insurance company and the car rental to make everything runs smooth. They even called me ahead of time to coordinate drop off time because the national office does not keep up with each individual location. Keep the that in mind when you schedule. read more

The girl at the front desk (Ashley) was a super star. She explained all the paperwork to me & what would happen during the appointment. Someone else came in while I waited for my rental to get there. She apologized to them & told them they would need to reschedule because they were 40 minutes late for their Geico appointment. They didn't understand why being 40 min. late meant they would need to reschedule. I think I was more stunned at their reaction then she was. Poor girl, she must have to deal with this kind of thing regularly. They were quite rude to her & she handled their tiny tantrum well & they left. The guys (Ryan & Travis)that looked over my car with me where nice & gave me updates every couple days & my car was ready quickly in a little over a week. Probably because there were no major parts replaced. The repairs were done well & I am pleased. I am surprised that there are people who have had a bad experience here after the great experience I had with them. After reading a few, it seems like people are upset with the insurance company for what they told the shop to do or not do to their car. The shop can't do anything without the insurance company telling them to do it or their approval. I think my car would have been done even faster if the shop didnt have to wait more than a day for my insurance company to give them approval... twice! From what I saw, start to finish, they were kind, helpful, respectful & informative. I will definitely use them again, if my car gets hurt again. read more

This Caliber Collision is a Geico Express Shop. We have a 10 year old Toyota Yaris and while it is 10 years old we take good care of it. So when someone hit the passenger side mirror we took it to Caliber Collision of Gainesville because that's what Geico recommended. We met with Jimmy and left the car. After picking up the car we noticed gaps in the repaired mirror that were not in the original. Further, we can pop off part of the mirror with our fingers. When we let Caliber Collision of Gainesville know of the problem they suggested sending a photo of the area. We did this and let them know that the repair looked like it had been done hastily but that the car was 10 years old. During this time Caliber Collision continued to let us know there was a review online that they wanted us to fill out. We filled out the online form honestly with lower scores. A short time later we received a call from Garr at Caliber Collision of Gainesville. We talked for 30 minutes regarding times we could meet. This was done with the intent that we both be free to review the repair. We agreed on this morning August 12 2019 at 9 a.m. We took off the day from work, made the 30 minute drive to the shop, and arrived at 8:58 a.m. After arriving we were told that Garr was on a phone call but that it would only be a few moments. A few minutes later we were told that Garr was now in a meeting and would be another 20 minutes. We have already been extremely inconvenienced. To set up a date and time so you can meet a returning customer because of a problem and then to have someone tell that customer "oh you'll have to sit and wait" is simply outrageous. read more
