It's never fun to deal with these things but Caliber made the entire experience easy, comfortable & stress-free. Their office is just off the beaten path in El Segundo & has a nice, comfortable waiting area and Harlan & the rest of the team were super friendly & helpful. In fact, when my girlfriend called to schedule an appointment he expressed genuine concern & asked if she was okay. You don't see that too often these days. Their repair work was top notch. There was actually more damage to the car that originally met the eye and they really got in there, assessed the damage and worked it out with our insurance company and I really didn't have to worry or stress. Front desk female representative is rude and unprofessional. While "revising" the documents with me she was distracted by the front door and kept glancing back. She would ask me so sign and initial on the documents without explaining what I was signing for unless I asked. The day I dropped of the vehicle I had my baby with me and was waiting for the documents to be printed by her. My husband went up to her and asked if she needed the claim number and that's when she informed him that the papers were ready to be signed, she was just waiting on me. I was extremely upset by this. Why would you not let a customer know you're ready to proceed and have them waiting for no reason? If you don't enjoy working with customers, then the front desk role is definitely not for you. I was also told initially latest pickup time on Friday would be 5:30 then it changed to 5 and then again to 5:30. Communication is inconsistent and unclear. I was able to pick up the vehicle Friday around 5 PM but it was already dark out so I wasn't able to throughout inspect. I used my flashlight to view the outside of the vehicle that was worked on. The following day I checked my car and was extremely dissatisfied with the work completed. My car was left a mess. My items were move around and were left extremely dirty/ dusty, and I have a few belongings I am unable to find. After paying for my deductible, a representative came out and asked how the service went. I explained I was upset with the service I received from the female representative at the front desk. He listened to my concerns and informed me I would be receiving a link to complete a survey. He advised me NOT to complete it if I was dissatisfied as this would affect his commission. It is extremely unprofessional to ask a customer to refrain from submitting a survey because the quality of service was not great and because it may impact the commission received for the work completed. It reflects that the business is more concerned about their sales and commission rather than the quality of service provided. I do not recommend this place and will NOT be returning after this experience. read more

Initially, my experience was good, but the follow-up on my private insurance claim was disappointing. After sending two emails with no response, I had to call and was then told that the person handling my repairs had been transferred to another location, with no one assigned to take over her customers. I was promised a call back once they reached her to determine the status, but I never received one. First off this Place is so incompetent! A bunch of Crooks, and when the complaint is made they play hot potato with it. I had my truck taken in for repair's on the behest of the Insurance Company (ALL STATE)! The truck was taken in for repairs on the trunk and back right passenger door's. Never did I imagine what was to come after the fact! A complete nightmare and many more headaches then initially. My advice to everyone, and anyone ever getting any type of repairs to your vehicle. Seriously you have to take photos of everything, even the smallest detail. And make sure you know what's in your vehicle, and what's part of your vehicle. Both me and my wife have now learned the HARD WAY!!! Because neither the Vendor in this case(Caliber Collision in El Segundo, Ca) and the Insurance will then play the " I Don't Know" card. So with evidence our outcome would have been different, but we trusted both the insurance and caliber collision. Big Mistake! Our Spare tire kit which comes with the Vehicle from the manufacturer was not inside, but we never thought of checking until my wife had a flat tire. The trunk door wasn't the same, they say it was replaced but it was. The door we got back had a Rust spot on it, it's a 2022 vehicle, shouldn't have rust! And yet it did when it was returned. Also the lath poles on each side as you can see on photos are different sizes! Basically MICKEY MOUSE they performed. If it's up to you make the wise choice and don't go there! And if the insurance suggest that you do, you have a choice DONT! Pick a shop of YOUR Choosing... again I stand by what I say, this place did more harm then good. Crooks and liars. DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS!!! And Take pictures, videos of every inch of your vehicle because they will deny it. I had gotten in a fender bender, someone rammed into my bumper. At first I was going to go to the Caliber on La Cienega, but they had less availability and we were looking for a more flexible spot. Took my 2005 4Runner for front bumper repair as well as repainting of my side fenders which were fading. Working with Caliber and Junior (the job manager for my car) was pretty seamless, especially with the coordinating the rental car with enterprise (they got some one to take me to Enterprise and I was able to leave the car at Caliber when picking up my car). They turned the car around quickly in two days and the work looks good. They told me the car would be ready at 6PM the day of pickup, however for some reason it wasn't ready until 7PM and I had to wait, which was disappointing. They proactively addressed the issue by offering me a partial refund for the cost of the work. I really appreciate them doing this and am overall very satisfied with the experience as well as the customer service. read more

The service while trying to book the appointment was good overall. Once I came in to get my car inspected my experience was very disappointing.The front desk lady went on her lunch and a gentleman took over, anything but professional, he took the car for a "drive", once back he pointed out how my car had been fixed before, which is true (prior accident) and how due to that they couldn't fix it themselves. Basically if your car has had any previous repairs they cannot work on it, if you bring your car to this place, it must be the first time your car will be worked on. I find this very inconvenient but I guess this is their policy. Mind you this was through my insurance. Will not recommend. I would suggest the manager himself/herself coming out and apologizing next time for the inconvenience and perhaps prior to booking an appointment letting the customer know their policy, and no one feels they have wasted their time. read more

I had someone pick up my truck since I was out of town and they are not open on weekends, but they did not reinstall my trunk cover. When they sent me a picture of my truck when picking up, I did not notice it was missing, but can see when zooming in, the trunk is not covered as its missing! How do you put all of someone's possessions from the trunk in the car, and not realize you did not reinstall the trunk cover after taking it off. Furhter more, they took it upon themselves to put items in bags they weren't in and not meant to be, meaning you had more time and opportunity to note this important detail of placing my trunk cover back on the car on top of mishandling items! They called me and told me the car just needed to be washed and would be ready by 3:30 Wednesday and I didn't have someone pick it up till Friday meaning they had extra time to realize their gross mistake! As professionals servicing many types of vehicles this is a gross oversight and lack of due diligence and quality control. This is a poor service experience, especially when you're not open on the weekend, and I can't get this fixed till next week and stuck wondering if this will be resolved. I had major shopping and needed my vehicle trunk for secure transport which I can't do now. Beyond frustrated at this careliness. read more

I genuinely do not understand how this Calliber Collision has almost 5 start. I'm not one to write reviews, but I'm going full Karen on on this one. About a month and a half ago, my car was part of a hit and run in my neighborhood. Through my insurance, I left my car here for repairs. The first time around was ok, they took about a month to repair but that was understandable as it is currently very difficult to get car parts. They were on top of updating me on every change and every situation they encountered. Fast forward to two weeks ago, I take my car into the dealership for a standard oil change and I'm informed that there is still severe damage to the car as well as an oil leak. This was a day before I was supposed to drive my car from L.A to Las Vegas and spend to weeks out of town. The Honda mechanic advised me not to drive the car as it could result in even more damage and could possibly be dangerous to drive on a highway. Not only was I without a car for over two weeks (because obviously this time around my insurance wouldn't cover a rental) but I also had to call them myself MULTIPLE times in order to receive an update on when they could take my car in. Finally I called them last Thursday and they gave me an appointment for Tuesday. They told me it would only take a day to to repair the car and by 4:30 PM we had ZERO updates from them. My boyfriend, who took off work just so he could take my car in and pick it up, had to call them to get information on when it would be ready. And today, the exact same issue. I had to call them at 1:30 to ask for updates. It was finally ready at the very end of the day. Insanely irresponsable to not completely fix my car from the start.. but mistakes happens, I understand that. But then to give such terrible a customer service, lack of empathy and understanding and the horrible communications skills.... 100% taking my car into a dealership for a complete scan because I just do not trust that my car is safe to drive after being at this Calliber Collision. read more

I had some work done to my car at the lomita location (windshield and rear view mirror). A couple weeks after I got my car back I was leaving work at 4:30pm and my rear view mirror fell off when I adjusted it. I called lomita and they wanted me to wait until Monday because they were closing. I was close to el segundo so I came here. Sophie helped me from start to finish. She was so helpful and took care of everything. She was in constant communication with me. She didn't need to help me at 5pm on a Friday but I'm so grateful she did. I bought a car from Carvana and there was some damage. They referred me to their adjuster, Silverrock who referred me to caliber collision. I got an estimate which I forwarded to Silverrock. Trying to get authorization to pre-order parts was a ridiculously cumbersome process, and it took over 5 months, even though the cost of the parts was very low (rear light caps). Eventually we got it squared away and Caliber was very accomodating and apologized for the inconvenience. They ordered the parts within 24 hours and turned around the repair in one day. Over spray everywhere , orange peel pint . Clear coat drip . After I pointed that out waited three weeks because I was a " very particular " guy . My insurance company suggested me a couple of facilities to fix my rear bumper and Caliber Collision is the closest from my work, so I've decided to choose them. The first and last thing I want you to remember is the name Luis. I have an older vehicle (2003 Chevy Cavalier, "Martha"), and it was hit while parked. This was the 2nd time this happened to this car -- same side, same region -- but this time the person who hit me was kind enough to let me know about it. Caliber Collision called me the day after I requested to work with them, and they gave me a prompt appointment to come in and have my car assessed. This is when I met Luis. Luis was super friendly, diligent and seemed to genuinely care (even about this old beater). Before I go any further, let me mention the switch for my window controller decided to go out the same day I dropped my car off. lol Luis said, he would have his mechanic take a look at it to see if they could repair it (in addition). Well, there wasn't a need, at that time, to repair it, thank God. Luis, smartly found another way to get the window up. He didn't give up on something as simple and insignificant as my window switch malfunctioning. That was so appreciated. Fast forward a few days, I naively moved forward thinking that things will be fine; the car will be fixed, and I'll be driving her again in no time, and then problem 2 happened. Nationwide initially said that my vehicle repairs was going to cost them more than the car was worth. Then came Luis again. Never giving up. Luis called Nationwide, and fought to have my car paid for, and they did. I was so grateful for him not giving up on me and my car 2 times. I don't have to tell you that the repairs were top notch, they were, but the service matched, and went beyond the repair quality. Words can't express how grateful I was to see Martha looking pretty much new. Please don't second guess this shop, and definitely ask for Luis. You won't be let down! read more

The communication at this location is horrible. First off, they couldn't give me an estimate of how long my car would take to repair. Once I did get an estimate, it ended up taking an additional 2 weeks. In total, it took 6 weeks for the repair. They were promising my car would be ready on a Friday at 5, and it wasn't ready until the following Tuesday. I understand that there are supply chain issues, and things happen during the repair process, but the lack of communication was incredibly frustrating. Plus the uncertainty of when my car would be finished made getting rental cars challenging. I think this location is under staffed and I just don't recommend anyone going to this location. My car was repaired well and so far is in good shape. I just would not recommend this location if you're looking for a car repair shop. Also - they gave me a prefilled survey at the end saying that my car was repaired early or on time (not true) and that I gave them a 10 out of a scale of 1-10 for all of their questions.
