As I was returning to my car, I could see it from a distance, someone had "keyed " scratch, the entire length of the driver's side of my vehicle. It was severe. Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose,wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. I recommend Same Day Bumper and Grill all day every day and twice on Sunday Than you Travis !!

After leaving several messages and waiting three days for a return call from my dealer, I was finally able to talk with someone who informed me the earliest they could provide me with an estimate would be June 16th (today is May 12th). I immediately pulled up Yelp to check out the best reviewed body shops near me. As you can see, Hatley's was at the top of the list with a perfect score and some excellent testimonials. I called Hatley's and one of the owners answered on the first ring, and told me I could bring my car by anytime for an estimate. Even with the excellent reviews, I was surprised and wary at how easy this seemed. I drove my car over to the shop. I was greeted by Thomas (the owner) before I could even walk into the office. Thomas was so pleasant and started looking at the damage to my car right away. He asked a few quick questions, and then asked another mechanic if he could run an estimate on my car. This mechanic, Steve (actually the co-owner I believe), who was midway through painting another vehicle literally traded spots with Thomas, greeting me with the same extremely pleasant nature, and starting taking a look at the damage to my car. 15 minutes later I had an itemized estimate in my hands. Incredible! The pricing is extremely reasonable, but the professionalism and genuinely kind and honest customer service is what made the biggest impression. Paid out of pocket for body repairs to my vehicle in July of 2024. They gave me an estimate as…read moremultiple repairs and then regenerated it at $400 less as a single repair. They told me it would be 10 to 14 days but they had the vehicle for 1 month and still didn't finish all of the work. Not only that, the cost reverted to the original estimate amount. When I picked my vehicle up, they turned it over with it running. I didn't think much of it until I got to where I was going, turned off the ignition, then found that the battery was dead. Additionally, they didn't assemble all the trim which ended up falling off, broke the switch on the inside of a door, and I found sever divots and unpainted portions of the damaged area. They refunded me the cost of the unrepaired part and offered to fix the door switch but I didn't want to deal with them anymore so I got out of this situation before I got even more frustrated. My mechanic recommended CSI and my experience was so bad, I'm going to a different mechanic now. In my experience, CSI was very expensive, very slow, had bad communication, and performed mediocre quality work.

I can tell he moved here from Detroit because he ripped off one too many people and had to find a new town to set up shop. My job which should have taken at least a month was completed in less than two weeks which normally would have been great but I suspected it was done poorly and sadly I was right. The job cost twice as much as we discussed. He got very hostile immediately which I suspect is a tactic of his. He was physically threatening which was hilarious because he is a small frail old man a stiff breeze could knock over, and I actually thought he was going to have a stroke when he started yelling because his face turned purple. He made many derogatory remarks about various ethnicities which is odd because his workers are Latin. When I indicated I simply could not afford the price he lowered it to the maximum of what I could pay. I took the car to another frame shop and they showed me how poor of a job he had done. Terribly quality work Horrible customer service Overpriced work This man is going to have to answer to God for how he conducts himself.
