Disappointed with Rife's of Grandview after having great experiences at their Westerville location…read more My main issue is that they entered my visit into CARFAX despite only providing an estimate for minor cosmetic work that I declined. I ended up fixing the issue myself with touch-up paint for a fraction of their quote. Now I have an unnecessary CARFAX entry that could affect my vehicle's resale value. I find it inappropriate to report declined estimates to CARFAX, as it implies work was actually performed. As a side note, I was also concerned about their privacy practices. While waiting in the lobby, I witnessed an estimator having multiple speakerphone conversations with clients, broadcasting personal details to everyone in the reception area. The clients clearly had no idea their conversations were being shared with other customers. While I've had positive experiences with Rife's Westerville location in the past, I cannot recommend the Grandview location based on these practices.

He went around to a bunch of repair and body shops and many of them were 1000+ more expensive than this place. We were a little worried about the quality of work we'd get since the quote was a bit cheaper, but after picking up our car we are so happy with the work. The car legit looks brand new. The were able to fix the air bag sensor and replace only the needed parts without excessive charing us for things we didn't need. The car runs just like it did before the accident, but it looks much prettier. They were able to match the paint identical to the rest of the body of the car. As a surprise they also completely vacuumed and detailed the inside of the car. This was not expected and further added to the experience of feeling like we were driving a new car. Aside from appearances and feel of the car, I appreciated how transparent this shop was. They itemized everything they said they would fix without any surprise charges. They also communicated when the car would be ready and called us when they realized they'd need a couple more days. I highly recommend this shop for their work and honesty!!

All of it was painted and the paint was accurate to the car. I hope I never have to drop off another car again, but if you needed a body repair shop, they're amazing at their job.

At 8:03 this morning I had a voicemail stating that she talked to the tech and he stated that my connector to my headlamp had corrosion and that was why my headlamp isn't working. (I was never notified of this and wanted to know why they would plug a a connector with corrosion into a brand new $900 headlamp without notifying me) and she said it was her fault because she didn't know I was gonna pick it up so fast. (I Should have been notified during repairs) I was upset asking her to make it make sense she said she didn't like the way I was talking to her and hung up on me. Called back was told the tech cleaned it up the best he could (again why wasn't I notified I would have paid out of my own pocket to replace the harness if needed but I wasn't given that opportunity or even made aware of the issue) I feel like I was given every excuse in the book and when I told the Second Lady she said well we have apologized. Apologies don't fix the problem. And I would not let these people work on my bicycle. What a joke with their guarantee on repairs and their warranty.

I would never recommend them for any service again. They look to cut corners, place liability of their inability for repairs on sublet and their customers, are discourteous, and continually provide false updates on the repair status (very inconvenient when you are planning your day around when they will have the car ready, while also caring for two small children around their 'updates'). I would only recommend this shop for people who enjoy getting the run around, being belittled and repeatedly mislead, and needing a repair lifetime warranty for a place you wouldn't step back into again. 1/5 , would put 0, but it's not possible.

They took zero accountability for their mistake and I ended up footing the $200+ bill for a new battery. At first, they tried to have my insurance pay for it (original damage had nothing to do with the battery), then said it must have just been an old battery. They completely ignored the fact that their own employee left the lights on causing it to die in the first place. I was reluctant to write this because I was optimistic that they would take responsibility for their mistake and make it right. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Take your business elsewhere.
