I had a low-speed encounter with a deer which resulted in damage to the hood, grill, and bumper. Following a recommendation, I took my car to Rife's Autobody in Westerville for repairs. When I went to pick up my car, the repair process manager assured me that if there were any issues, I should contact him and he would fix them. He was quick to provide me with instructions on how to complete the CollisionRight company survey, as well as to give me a copy of the national warranty. As I only drive this vehicle occasionally, I was not in a rush to inspect the repairs. However, on closer examination, I noticed some abnormalities. There was a wider gap between the bumper and the hood on the driver's side, and a gap between the fog lamp assembly and the bumper on the passenger side. (Photos in the link above) I called the autobody shop, scheduled an appointment to bring the car in, and prepared to have the issues fixed. When I arrived for the appointment, the repair process manager informed me within just 10 minutes that my car was ready. He mentioned that adjustments had been made to the hood. However, the gap was still visible. Regarding the bumper, he claimed that the clip for the fog light assembly was properly set, attributing the gap to an issue with injection molding. I am extremely disappointed. The warranty and promises made about fixing any problems were not honored. Despite the final bill indicating that the hood and bumper are OEM, the quality of the repairs is unsatisfactory. If my business provided a defective OEM product, I would certainly rectify the situation for my customer. Unfortunately, I currently have too much on my plate to deal with this. I left the shop disappointed but decided to write this review. Let me be your litmus test. Buyer beware. read more

I advise everyone to stay away from this body shop. They are very sneaky and will try their best to get over on you. Andrew a.k.a Andy and his managers will not keep you in the loop. Found out insurance only covers half of there estimate. Thank god I pulled my car out before work was done. Or else I would had to pay 6,000$ out of pocket for minor front bumper damage. Manager also was very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable by yelling at me on the phone.By the way they only use "new" parts. Which they don't tell you until the end. Worst body shop ever. Contacted Rife's to do a clear bra and obtain an estimate on repairing a couple small stone chips and a small scrape on the rocker on a 911. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and mentioned that they do clear bra's and they would take a look at the other items no problem. When I brought the car there unfortunately the gentleman I spoke with face to face was not so friendly. He seemed reluctant to want to work on the car. He also mentioned that they contract out the clear bra work and they had done some work for them the other day but wasn't sure if they could do any work for them now. This body shop may or may not be good at what they do but their intake process is very poor. I felt as if I had to beg them to take my business. Shouldn't it be the other way around? read more

While no one relishes the need to make a body shop appointment...Rife's absolutely does it the right away. This is unfortunately the 2nd time I've had my car in for work in the past 6 months. This time was for a replacement front grill while the last was for major scratches to the paint. Safe to say I will continue using Rife's Autobody when my car needs work and they will always have my recommendation to anyone in need. Their staff is extremely courteous. And while you can generally find a body shop that is either quick to complete work, or completes it well, it is difficult to find one that does both. Rife's is the exception. They are great to work with: free estimates, a full breakdown of their costs, and for me they have always delivered ahead of schedule. I am by no means a "car guy" but they make the process quick, painless, and easy to understand so one does not feel deceived on the work being done. read more

The folks at Rifes have been amazing to work with! I've been a customer on a few occasions and they always do top notch work. Today was no different. My wife was driving behind a truck on the highway that dropped paint cans and it splattered all over the driver side doors. I called to see if there was something that could be done while it was still wet and they told us to bring it in and they would take a look at it. Upon arrival they got it back to the paint guys and within 20 minutes it was all cleaned up. We will always use Rifes given the choice! read more

My wife and I have taken two cars to Rife's and they've done an excellent job. I would say they are very good at delivering high-quality for a fair price. We have two Volkswagens that have been serviced by Rife's. The first car had a smashed mirror that needed to be entirely replaced and repainted. The car's color is a metalic grey, which I know is a hard color to match, and their work was perfect. Our second car was in a minor rear-end collision and needed a new bumper. My VW Beetle has been rear ended twice in the past 6 months. Both times I took it to Rife's in Westerville for the repairs. Although it took a long time to fix, the repairs were done and my car is back to looking great. Mackenzie was always so very helpful when i called to check on my car, both times. Heath and Brock were also extremely helpful in getting all the repairs paid for by the other insurance. Our Honda was hit in the door by someone sliding on ice. To complicate matters, it was a borrowed car that hit us. We took to Rife based on recommendations of friends and that my father had used them years back. They did a fantastic job dealing with a difficult insurance company, finding all the damage, not just the visible damage and getting the insurance company to follow through. I had a great experience with Al Tidwell and his team at Rife's Autobody last month after a parking lot incident left me having to have both doors on my driver's side replaced. The work was thorough and Al kept me constantly in the loop regarding repair status and when I could expect to pick up my vehicle. Outstanding attention to detail and work done in a very timely fashion. Rife's matched a metallic white dead-on, and the fit and finish of the assembled part rivals the manufactured piece. Wish I could give a 5 star review but my experience with this shop was terrible. Had my Audi repaired there and the day I picked it up it was raining so I couldn't see the quality of the actual repair. The next day after getting a better look, the dent was still visible so I returned to the shop to show them and they told me they could "buff" it out. I trusted they knew what they were talking about and let them do what they supposedly do best. Went to pick up my car again after they were done and the dent was still there. They were saying how great it turned out but I said I still see a dent but because I felt intimidated by them in the moment, I ended up leaving with my car and inspected it better in my garage at home and sure enough the dent was still there. Returned to the shop the next morning to show them and they were adamant that this dent in the same exact spot must be a brand new dent caused by myself or someone else leaning up against the car and I said no that is definitely not the case and they said how do you know, do you monitor your car night and day?! They said they were absolutely not going to touch/fix my car again and I left in tears and couldn't believe how these men were making this seem as if it were my fault. Later that evening I got an email saying they changed their mind and to bring my Audi back in and they would take another look at it. I dropped my car back off and they determined (what I already knew) that it was faulty repair work of their shop and they hadn't filled it correctly and they would fix it right this time. I was happy to hear this good news but sadly that didn't last long. I once again picked up my car, it looked good this time but later discovered my sunglasses had gone missing and my left trunk bar hinge cover as well! Needless to say I went back to the shop to inquire about these things and left very unhappy when told they didn't know what happened to my items and my new Audi probably didn't have a cover on the left trunk bar hinge...yeah right! I just left and will NEVER return! Very disappointing and frustrating experience! read more

Rife's repaired my 2009 Honda Civic. They mad sure only OEM parts were used on my car and they returned it to she same condition it was in before the accident. The fit of the part and the paint match were perfect. read more
