Came here to write a review of this place after noticing a few less than fair reviews prior and being satisfied both with the attentive attitude of the staff and quality of the work. I want to give it the full five, but ironically the only issue I had with Global lies not in the main staff - instead I deduct only one star for the lack of knowledge on behalf of the enterprise Rent-A-Car staff they also operate in this location.
Long story short, I was involved in an accident with a cabbie who I will refrain from calling names (you know him, the idiotic no-drivin' barely English speaking driver from Bemini who drives an orange cab from Union Cab Co.? Yea, that's the guy. He likes to run stop signs in business Parking Lots and let people T-Bone him without having any knowledge on how to even give you his name after the accident. I digress) and as a result I needed a body shop to take it too. I avoided Abra Auto in Westminster due primarily to negative reviews, but I trusted this place and it was a Geico one-stop shop. I was wary, but I gave in and drove there on an early morning with my Caliber for a repair. The Enterprise associate assured me over the phone that a rental would be waiting as my policy covered the costs, and they'd have me taken care of.
I arrived and spoke with Mike (?) who represented Geico at this particular branch, and he stepped away to go grab my details from their files. The Enterprise associate THEN informs me that because I didn't have rental coverage at the time of the accident (another associate told me over the phone that if I purchased it after I'd be covered - Don't believe this folks, it's a lie) I'd have to pay out of pocket. In all fairness, they were going to give me the compact rate, but as the other company was at fault I made a few calls to my insurance (yes, the honus was on me, no one at Enterprise thought to mention that I could make them pay for it, instead letting me figure this out and then arguing with me over sending the necessary info to the opposing insurance) and the rental was taken care of. And yes, due to that extra work I had to put in, there will be a fleet car on the market in a few years that has had the shit driven out of it through mountains. I digress.
Mike returns from the back! Files in hand, ready to go! He shakes my hand and assures me they'll have it taken care of as soon as possible. With an initial estimate of five days (When I was thought to be paying for the rental) I was a bit miffed. After getting the other insurance to pick it up, my time was mysteriously reduced to three days, but I don't mind the coincidence. Upon arrival, I can disprove any myths of substandard work - my car looked better than it had before I bought it. It was vacuumed out, detailed and freshly washed/waxed, with nary a sign of any previous damage. I'm above satisfied...they even embarrassingly found a pair of undies that got lost under the seat ages ago. These people are lifesavers! They even replaced a $40 mirror bezel unrelated to the accident just for the sake of making my car look...well, perfect.
I appreciated the service but above all I appreciated my interactions with Mike. He made the entire process smooth and was truly a joy to work with. Thumbs up all-around for this place...except for Enterprise. They get a different digit :D. read more
